Appearance: Ayame has long black hair that she normally keeps in a ponytail. She's around five feet tall with a thin but strong body type. Her violet eyes are the picture of innocence, and she's perfected the art of looking like a helpless young woman, right up until her enemies realize they've fallen into her trap. She has freckles and typically wears comfortable outfits- usually with a red/black combo- but she'll dress up if the situation calls for it. She's almost always smiling, even when something's wrong. A necklace with three round rubies and a silver chain always hangs around her neck, and if she dresses up, she'll wear earrings to match. Her guild symbol- a blue phoenix- is tattooed on her left shoulder.

Backstory: She lost her parents when they left on an S-class job together. Something went wrong and they were both killed. Ayame was only 8 at the time and that's when her magic blossomed. Losing her parents hurt her so much that she accidentally wiped them from the minds of everyone in the guild, herself included. Reiko- Silent Phoenix's master- figured something was up, since there were still records, but it wasn't until Ayame began to figure out what her magic was that Reiko realized what had happened. By then, it was too late to reverse the spell, so Ayame grew up with no memory of her parents. She was seventeen when she went on a job that involved hunting down a bunch of bandits. She got to them too late, though, and by the time she stopped them they'd already burned down a house and killed the couple living there. A young boy was there too- Raiden. He saw everything and as soon as he figured out the bandits did it, he went crazy. He nearly killed them with his dragon slaying magic. Ayame couldn't fight him without injuring him, so she took away the memory of seeing his parents and his knowledge of who killed him. After he calmed down, they delivered the bandits to Ayame's client and went back to the guild. Raiden asked if he could join, so Ayame introduced him to Reiko and he ended up joining Ayame, Rex, and Lilian's team. They've worked together since then, forming strong bonds. Ayame and Raiden grew especially close, quickly becoming best friends.

Personality: She has a bit of a sarcastic attitude, but she's kind. She'll help someone if they need it, but she won't do everything for them. She likes to let people learn from their mistakes, which means that if they're about to do something stupid and it won't hurt them especially much, she'll let them do it. She loves spending time with people and won't shy away from a good fight. She thinks things through carefully before jumping into situations though and tends to be the one who makes the plans.

Magic/Powers: She has the ability to manipulate memories and hear people's thoughts.

Weapon of Choice: A bow and arrows or her set of knives. Usually the first one, unless she has to fight close quarters. Her arrows are usually tipped with lacrima containing various magics (her favorite is the fire lacrima).

Strengths: Her powers, for one. The ability to listen to people's thoughts gives her an edge in battle, allowing her to more easily determine her enemy's position and where they will be. This works well with another of her strengths- the use of a bow. She's trained with a longbow since before she had magic, and is great at it. She's also good at making things and usually gets the materials to make her own arrows.

Weaknesses: She's not especially great at fighting close quarters- especially without any weapons. Mostly she works as support. Her magic doesn't work well if people are aware of it, either, because they can mentally block her out. She tends to overthink simple things at times, so it can take longer than it should for her to figure it out.

Captured: She was captured when she ran into the beam of light after Raiden. She didn't end up with him, though. Instead, she was teleported onto a bunch of viking ships and ended up in the middle of the battlefield. She found him pretty quickly, though, when he started beating up the dragons.

Greatest Fear: That she'll lose control and erase all of her loved ones from her memory just like she did with her parents. Reiko eventually told Ayame what she suspected had happened, since Ayame wouldn't stop asking about her parents. Ayame has been terrified of it happening again ever since.

Insecurities: Her inability to fight well close quarters. She works to get better, but master of fighting hand-to-hand or even with weapons seems to elude her and it's a constant frustration. She sometimes feels she's useless because of it.

Loved Ones: Raiden, her best friend, Rex and Lilian, and the rest of Silent Phoenix. Since she doesn't have anyone else, she considers them her family.
