Arianna clicked on her email and brought up the compose tab to write a quick report to her boss.

"Trials are going well. We should get the results in the next few weeks or so," she typed quickly. "I'll wait for your orders on what to do next provided this all works out the way we want it to."

Liali came in just as she was sending the email. "Getting word to the boss?" she asked.

"Yeah. He wants constant updates so I figured I should send him a brief one before we dive into the next test," Arianna told her.

"That's a good idea," Liali said. Her tone, however, told Arianna that there was something she wasn't saying.

"What aren't you telling me?" Arianna asked.

"It's not that," Liali said hastily. "It's just... haven't you ever wondered why our boss chooses to stay anonymous?"

"Yes, but he's our boss, so I suppose if he want's to tell us why he will." Arianna said, laying to matter to rest.

Liali nodded. "You're right. Let's get the volunteers ready for the next test, then."

In case you're worried, you won't have to write about your character playing musical chairs for this task. Your volunteer will be placed in a room with one chair in it. When he sits down in the chair a song will play through the room (you must specify the song you use in the task or underneath your kills and ballots and it can't be rock or metal music. You could use songs from different movies if you like, but make sure that you can complete the task with them. Choose your song carefully as the whole task centers around it. So if you were, say, a fire elemental, then you could use "I See Fire" from the Hobbit in your task if you wanted to). The tribute will then drink a vial that is on a table that will appear next to their chair.

After that, your tribute will be transported into a scenario based completely on the song that they heard just before drinking the vial. From there on you don't have any particular requirements for the task. You won't be able to kill anyone this task because it's a solitary test, but you will have more ballots to use instead.

Four tributes will go up for voting this round and one will come out alive.

For this task, the sponsorship gifts will not be as helpful as they usually are. They all come in the form of a second glass vial which must be drunk along with the first. The effects will be different for each sponsored volunteer.

Arianna's vial will cause Chryss to have very heightened emotional responses to everything happening around him. They will be riding an emotional roller coaster of sorts throughout the entry.

Liali's vial makes Kian weaker during the entry and puts him into a sort of sluggish trance which causes them to react more slowly to everything around them as well.

Elliot's vial temporarily takes away Apanie's powers and gives her an extreme (but not lethal) allergic reaction to the element that she once controlled. This must be included in the entry somehow.

Greg's vial is full of water with a pill beside it. The pill is a hallucinogen which will cause Rye to have horrifying visions. These visions could be of things in their past or just things they fear, but they have to be there throughout the entry. (The hallucinations don't have to focus around your song, but the rest of your entry does.)

Awards:

Emotional Impact: This award is for the person whose entry gives the most emotional impact to the readers. Rather than just reading it as a judge, the scientists will read it and feel as though they are really there with the reader experiencing all of the emotional ups and downs that the character in the task is going through. (two points)

Song Association: The person who gets this made the judges feel as if they are reading about the song that the tribute chose. They wove the song into the entry masterfully and created a perfect scenario to revolve around the song. (three points)
