Physical Description: She looks older than she is - that's the first thing people say when she tells them she's 14. Her face could be that of someone years older, but Aeryn's eyes are what really makes her look at least 17 - they hold a strange old wisdom or longing that make people want to see more. She's rather pretty, though still slightly gawky looking, with long limbs and a thin body straight up and down despite her wishes for a more womanly figure. Her thin cheekbones and delicate features are considered classically pretty in this day, and she's nothing if not aware of that.

Personality: Aeryn is very mature for her age - at least, she thinks so. She's older than most of the other children she knows, and she takes it upon herself to be the mom of the group, comforting those who are hurt and disciplining those who do the hurting. She's sweet and caring, but sometimes feels like she grew up before her time, and didn't get a real childhood. As the mother of her friends and surrounding acquaintances, Aeryn often has to hide her own feelings to muster up a smile for the younger kids, and this means that she's gotten used to hiding her emotions.

Family: Aeryn grew up the oldest of seven, and her parents were never really around, both hard manual labor workers who disappeared for sometimes days on end while working to feed their family. This meant Aeryn took care of everyone, and was often seen working herself, babywatching or cleaning or cooking for other families. When she was only 8, she got a part-time job working in a local bakery for money, and got to take stale bread home to her younger siblings, who at this point range from 13 to 4. She's had a rather hard life, and had to mature quickly and learn to look out for herself, especially as she grew older and there was more of a chance that she could be kidnapped or sent into slavery when someone found out she was the parent of the house.

Reason they Volunteered: She wants a better life for her siblings - at least, that's what she admits. She also just wants to get away from that endless, boring life and make something of herself, without being the pseudo-mother to six kids

Weapons they would Use: She's good with knives, having used them mostly all her life in the bakery, and likes the idea of throwing knives, though it might take her a while to get ahold of them.

Weaknesses: She's not used to being responsible for only herself, and has a soft spot for those younger than her. She's very tired most of the time and doesn't have a lot of energy for nonessential things. She's also not good at showing her emotions or letting other people help her, because she's been self-sufficient for so long.

Strengths: She's very adaptable and very responsible, as well as being very physically strong and able to push through things when there's something that needs to be done. She can comfort and help children which could be useful in emotional problems, and she's old enough to recognize her own strengths and weaknesses. She's also very street-smart.
