Elusia Four: Sana Auxiliari [@adonian]
Mercy incarnate commits to selfless acts.
♔Character Name: Sana Auxiliari
♔Gender: Female
♔Age: Twenty
♔Birthplace: Fallholt, Elusia
♔Physical Appearance: Grace falls heavily into the body of Sana; she is mystical like the heavens with her gentle features. Her hair is a milk-chocolate brown, warm and healthy, with a few strands being some shades darker, others being some shades lighter; overall, it blends evenly and falls at her abdomen, though she keeps it up in a stringy fashion. Her skin, bright and glowing, is the color of the sweetest peach, perfectly ripe and overflowing with juice. Her face is decorated by dark, thin eyebrows; wide, celestial-like eyes; a straight, narrow nose; plump, pink lips; and a soft, undefined jawline. All those features, combined with her lithe build, would make one think she stands out in the crowds, but altogether she is just another face in the sea of the Fallholt population.
♔Personality: In the simplest of terms, she is a pushover. Though she has her limits, there is almost nothing she wouldn't do to please others. In all honesty, her acts aren't done to make others grace her with a kind smile or gentle wave—she does so because she has warmth in her heart. She has seen the wonders generosity can cultivate, and if she can be part of such a genuine movement then she will be. Ideally, however, she doesn't view herself in that particular way. Sana understands why she is labeled as such, but in her eyes she is not as naïve. People speak of her benevolence, her kindness, her charity—her selflessness and her mercifulness—but they don't comment on her other traits. If she single-handedly managed a food drive to hand out to the poor of the kingdom, is she not a leader? If she planned for months in advance before the event took place, is she not intelligent? If she wasn't ashamed to cry after all the gratitude that was given in response, is she not strong? There's beauty in her humble nature; there's etherealness in her passion to help; and there is bravery in both.
♔Background: Raised in the abodes at the edge of Fallholt's forest, Sana's life has been exactly what a tree represents: taking, cultivating, giving. Early on she learned that everything works in cycles, so if something is taken away, it must be put to use and later restored. Her grandmother and her parents practically engraved that mantra into her mind, forever to be present even if subconsciously. As she began to grow, however, she pushed that thought to the deepest corners of her mind; her town and the adults present may value selflessness, but the children did not. At school, it was easy to fall into temptation: take a snack that wasn't hers, borrow a pencil without permission, cut in line to swing off a vine. With each infraction, a small part of her—maybe from her heart, or from her conscience—diminished, a small part of her hurt.
Eventually, like the others, she grew out of it. By the time she was in her early teens, she functioned as well as the adults, if not better. She never had a grudge to hold, and family feuds never made it to the surface of her mind. At sixteen, she held her first food-drive, with all donations dispersed to the poor of the kingdom. This, she believes, is her most defining moment, as all of her traits came out—there was nothing to hold her back from spreading as much joy, whether literal or figurative, as she could. She held this annual tradition for four years, but as more talk of a war came, people became a little more cautious and selfish when it came to giving supplies. Rather than speak of their acts, Sana completely understood: simply because her people are selfless and accustomed to giving without complaint—within reason—does not mean everyone else is. She didn't linger any longer and instead took the initiative to train for physical combat, as well as continuing to better her people skills. What better way to show gratitude and loyalty to others than to fight so they don't have to.
♔Skills: During war, one may think those able to wield a sword or manage a catapult are the most important heroes. In reality, it is those who can understand the opponent—no, not the enemy—who determine the tide of the battle. Sana is able to read people more clearly than she can a book; she knows exactly what a rallying point is for each person. Her ability to comprehend the human drive present in such a fight is what will help her plan battle strategy with minimal loss. If need be, she could also act as a diplomat. With her kind face and gentle voice, it is almost impossible to deny her a fair chance.
♔Other: It is to heal and to help—to grow.
