Adrigole Five: Andrea Novak [@aceh3x]

One who calls another a fool is one who loses their tongue.

Character Name: Andrea Novak

Gender: Female

Age: 22

Birthplace: Laesh

Physical Appearance: Andrea is rough around the edges and has never claimed otherwise. Where sea spray whips one's face at every turn and rocks crumble beneath their feet, there is no point raking a comb through her unruly locks or scrubbing her skin until it shines. The easiest route is to tie her hair back in a spare strip of cloth and stop the mingled blonde and brunette strands from falling into her eyes as she lets the dirt cling to every pore. Ripped clothing, torn skin, neither bothers her. In fact, if she was to gain a scar or two she'd consider herself lucky. Andrea's looks have always bored her. A slim body and undefined muscles, eyes as grey and unmoving as an overcast day, but they can be intense under the right mindset, frightening if given the perfect flame.

Personality: Andrea has been a quick judge of character since the day she was born. That's why she pushed that obnoxious brat Hardy off the docks when she was six and why she's been best friends with Casper since she was seven. She doesn't backtrack easily once a decision is made either, even when it turns out to be a poor one on her part. Her bravery has a few boundaries but so does her recklessness. She knows it would drive others from her home mad if they ever saw such things surface - the way she and Caspar dash through the port's main market and dangle from bridges worries them enough. "She's too much like her father," that's what they like to whisper when they think she cannot hear. Andrea tends to ignore those assumptions. She's nothing like him because unlike her father, she keeps her promises.

Background: The smell of fish and saltwater now churns Andrea's stomach. She was born in Laesh and raised on the cliffs there by her father. Although, perhaps raised is too generous a word. Those who are drawn to the sea live for it more than all other things and that includes family. What time he gave to her was between trips out on the ocean delivering goods and trading across ports. He brought back to her gorgeous pieces of silk and oddities from every trip he took, but that rarely made up for the time she spent alone. Although, for all the trinkets, she has found a curious and deadly bottle of nail polish to be her favorite. The other upside of a lacking figure of authority in her life is a lack of boundaries. How many dangerous cliffs she has scaled and forbidden areas she has roamed she has lost count, but she does know that she has scoured every inch of Laesh there is for adventure and has rung that well dry. She needs a new form of entertainment.

Skills: Anything small and sharp should do the trick nicely. She's always been a fan of those enchanted, engraved daggers down by the docks. They seem too extravagant for war, though. Andrea is also an excellent climber and lookout should the need for one arise. What should be feared most, however, is stumbling into hand to hand combat with the girl. Not only does she fight rather dirty, but a scratch from her nails is sure to poison the cut.
