Listen if someone who I'm not really friends with talks to me I usually just smile %80 of the time cause I'm a socially awkward smol thing

No one really tries to be my friend either, after a couple failed conversation attempts cause my brain can never figure out what to say, a person usually gives up trying to speak to me

SO TELL ME WHY THIS ONE BOY IS BEING SO SOCIAL WITH ME

I've known this guy since freshman year we've had a class together every year and this year I have two classes with him

He's a nice social guy but he still rarely talked to me during freshman and sophomore year any time he did I usually did my signature awkward 'I don't know what the fuck to say' smile (He thought I was an Arab like him sophomore year so I thought he was only friendly cause he thought I was the same nationality)

Let's start with the third day of school It's Modern American History class. We just got seats assigned and I was in a group with him which I was happy about because as I said he's a nice social guy

We're doing personal history speeches and around over 10 people had gone already(The class is small) after each person goes they pick the next person to go and when the person who sits behind me finished and had to pick someone he pointed at me telling them I had to go

My reaction in my head(I'll provide these after plenty of actions):
"Oh my god someone is helping me out and it doesn't look like I'll have to go last"

Okay then after I do my speech I sit back down and he says "That's the most I've heard you speak in 2 years" and I just smile and laugh a lil not saying anything CUZ THATS THE KIND OF INABILITY TO SOCIALIZE DUMBASS I AM

okay that's all I can remember for that class

I have a class with him on B day, 3D Modeling

I can't remember much about the first class but our seat setup is that we're both in the third row with one person sitting in between us

He rolls over(In the computer lab with have chairs with wheels) and peaks what I'm doing on my phone. Sees I'm playing DragonVale World and redownloads it and then showed off his Park to my noob self 😂

Then I think the next BDay there was a class meeting and I was walking down the stairs to the computer lab to drop off my book bag before heading up to the auditorium and he was walking up the steps with a friend and poked me in the side when he passed by

My reaction in my head:
"WAH WHY DID HE POKE ME WE ARENT CLOSE AT ALL WAHHT"

Then in the auditorium I was sitting in the second row of seats and he passed by with a friend and pat my head

My reaction imh:
"WTFFF AM I A PUPPY TO HIM? A CHILD? LIL SISTER ISH? HE KNOWS IM A BOSNIAN AND NOT ARAB BUT HES EVEN MORE FRIENDLY THIS YEAR"

And this is a smol thing but in Modern American he threatened to take away my pencil cause I kept fidgeting with the spin out eraser on it and it was making a smol barely audible squeaky sound

Fast forward to today Its picture day I walk into the auditorium and take about 10 steps in when someone behind me calls my name I turn and it's him. He asks me if I knew I had to change out of the top I was wearing after I took pictures cause there was this dumb thing where non-dress code things were only permitted until you took your picture then you had to change into something dress code. I wore a black tank top with a plaid open blouse that had sheer lace designs along the shoulder blade. I said yeah and that I had my sweatshirt in my book bag(I wore that top the whole day and ain't nobody said nothin about it I even went into the guidance counselor's office to fix my schedule and she said nothing) and then we went in line but I forgot to get a ticket thingy so I jumped down from the stage to get it and ending up standing behind him in line. He complained about how his pictures from last year turned out before he went to take his pics.

After he finished he came around and said to his friend he was so happy with how his pictures turned out this year and then said it to me and came in for a hug. He gave an actual hug while I gave that half bro hug

My reaction in my mind:
"WAT TEHHH FUCKKK ITS BEEN THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF SCHOOL AND HES BEING REALLY SOCIAL WITH MY QUIET ASS AM I LIKE A LIL SMOL SISTER TO HIM?! I AINT JUMPIN TO NO CONCLUSIONS"

Then in 3D Modeling today my computer mouse was broken and I had to move to a computer a couple seats down the row

He notices I moved and is like "<Insert my name> Why'd you move away from us?" in that joking sorta "HoW cOuLd YoU lEaVe Me" tone

I'm like "My computer mouse is broken and the other closer computer has no signal"

He then goes to the 2nd row which is where the outlets and cables are and does something with a cable THAT FIXES MY COMPUTER MOUSE so I could move back to my original seat that's closer to him

My brain: "DONT JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS"

Then a couple times as he got up and passed me in class he like booped my head and he threw a stick a gum in front of me without me asking for a piece and made fun of how hesitant I was to take it

Then we were doing some out of book work and I had no idea how to adjust the shape properly and he rolls over in his chair to 'help' even tho I didn't ask for help

But there was no helping going on he used this one tool and just started putting dents in the shape and then somehow struggled with zooming out and it was just us laughing for a few minutes about how we had no clue what we were doing

I don't understand why so much socialness and I feel like I'll somehow fuck it up or he'll get tired of my silence like everyone else and won't try talking to anymore :(

BUT WHY DID HE START BEING SO SOCIAL THIS YEAR  IM SO CONFUSED I DONT UNDERSTAND PEOPLE AND I AINT TRYNA CATCH FEELINGS HERE CUZ ONE SIDED LOVE IS A BITCH
