Brandeen pov

I woke up and got out of bed and checked the guy again to make sure he was okay he was still pale but he was sleeping peacefully I changed his bandages and covered him in the blanket when I was done I walked over to one of the empty cabins and used the secret entrance to go to Jakey's secret base as if he was in camp that's where he would be so I entered the base and didn't see Jakey so I went to check his room and saw that he was there he wasn't paying attention he was reading a book so I walked up to him. "Hey Jakey." He looked up from his book. "Oh hi Brandeen how are you." "I'm good um actually I have a problem." He looked at me confused. "What's your problem?" "I need you advise and maybe your help." "What do you need my help with?" "I'll show you follow me." "Okay lead the way." I walked back out the passage and he exited through the water and he followed me to my cabin. "Why are we at your cabin Brandeen?" "Because my problem is inside." "Okay well um lead the way to whatever it is." I lead Jakey inside to where the guy was laying in bed. :"This is my problem that I need your help with." "Oh my god what happened?" I looked at Jakey. "Do you know this guy?" "Yeah we met once his names Austin what happened?" I found him in the bathroom and I believe he tried to commit suicide." "Why would he do that when we met he seemed like a happy person why would he do this?" "I don't know I found him in the bathroom with his writs cut open and a knife at his side I managed to safe him but he barely weigh anything it's concerning I think he's been depressed for a while now and I don't know how to help him." "Well I would say to take care of him and try to help him mentally become his friend and try and get him to tell you why he did this to himself." "That sound like a good idea thanks Jakey." "No problem Brandeen um I'll come to check up on both of you sometimes there's a meeting later so um I'll see you then I'm going to head out see you around." "By Jakey I'll see you at the meeting." Jakey left and I stayed in my cabin for a couple of hours and then I went to the meeting and saw all of the other campers there and the camp counselor began to speak. "Hello everyone I see that everyone made it wait a second." Mario spoke up "What's wrong Kae." "Someone missing where's Austin?" Ritchie spoke up that time. "I sort off yelled at him a yesterday and I haven't been able to find him since so I thought that he was out on a quest." "I never sent he on a quest or authorized one." Ritchie and Michael looked at each other in concern. "So where's Austin?" I looked at Jakey who gave me this look to tell them. "Sigh I know where he is." Everyone looked at me and Ritchie spoke up again. "You've see him where is he me and Michael looked for him." "Your not going to like it." Jakey spoke up. "You should tell them Brandeen." Michael looked at Jakey concerned. "Tell us what?" I spoke up again. "Austin tried to commit suicide." Everyone silenced after I said that and looked at me in shock. "I was walking around I was walking past the bathrooms when I heard a clang sound I went to investigate what the sound was and saw him leaned against the wall his wrists cut open and a knife on the ground beside him so I picked him up and saw that he was realy light and I noticed how small and pale he was I took him home and bandaged him up he's fine now but he hasn't woken up yet I left him to come to this meeting I've left him alone for to long and I'm going to go check on him." I got up and went to go check on Austin everyone watched me go in silence I got to the door of my cabin and went in and went to Austin's bed and realized that he was breathing heavily and was shaking I felt his head and realized he had a fever so I went and grabbed some ice and put it on his head I went and made him some soup and came back and I brought him into sitting position and took the spoon and put it in his mouth and I managed to coax him to swallow it I fed him some more of the soup but eventually he wouldn't eat it anymore he hadn't eaten very much of the soup but it was something in his stomach at least I sighed as I realized I was probably goin to have to get him to eat more often when he woke up it looks like he's been starving himself so I'm probably going  have to convince him to eat more he's so small he can't have been eating well it's not healthy for him I watched as he stopped shaking and started to breath peacefully again I sigh in relief and went to my bed and laid down I thought about what Jakey said earlier why would this happy kid become depressed was he ever actually happy or was he faking it what secrets was Austin hiding how did he become depressed what caused him to try and kill himself all these unanswered questions swirled in my head and I tried to think everything out how did I end up taking care of someone I never met before how was I going to help him and get him to trust me when I don't know him I know nothing about Austin and it bothered me how much was Austin hiding from everyone I plan to get him to trust me and hopefully answer my questions of what happened I lay in bed and decide that just thinking about won't answer any of my question I decide to go to sleep and relax and I slowly fell asleep with all these unanswered question floating around my head.
