After the feast, the Hufflepuff prefects lead all the Hufflepuffs to the common room. They stopped walking in front of some barrels. The girl prefect told us to open the door we had to tap a certain tune onto a certain barrel. We entered the common room and went up a set of stairs to our dormitories to unpack. Our trunks were already by our four-poster beds. 

After I unpacked, I went and sat on one of the couches in the common room. I took out my sketchbook and started sketching.

It was the B in Buffy in the style that it was commonly in. The symbol of it, I'm pretty sure.

A boy that looked older than me by a few years walked up to me. 

"What's that?" he asked, startling me. 

"It's the Buffy symbol thing, from the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

"Muggle born?"

"Yeah. Well, actually, Draco said I have a wizarding last name. I don't know wh- oh. My dad left when he found out my mom was pregnant. So maybe he was a wizard." I said, realization dawning on me. 

"Oh. You and your mom doing okay?"

"Yeah, It's been just her and me my whole life. So I guess I'm a Half-blood, you?"

"Pure-blood. I'm Cedric Diggory."

I had forgotten that we hadn't introduced ourselvelves. "Aurora Nettles."

"Wait, Aurora, you told me Draco said you had a wizarding last name. As in Draco Malfoy?" He asked, emphasizing his last name. 

"Yeah, why?" I was curious as to why he sounded so unsure about Draco's last name. Ron had said something about me not knowing how the Malfoy's were.

"The Malfoy's are... Well... His Father, Lucius Malfoy was first thought to be a death eater after the wizarding war, but all of his charges were dropped. I'm sure he was one though. They can be dangerous, Aurora, you need to be careful." 

"Okay. I'll be careful. Thanks, Cedric." I paused before continuing, "friends?"

"You're welcome. And, yeah, friends. I'm going to go up to bed now, I've had a long day. See you tomorrow" He smiled and turned to go up to the boys' dorms.

"See you tomorrow"

I decided that I probably should be heading to bed also, so I walked up to the girls' dorms and started unpacking my stuff. There were already three people in there unpacking, and I decided to talk to them tomorrow.

I unpacked my stuff, and went to bed. As I layed in bed, drifting off, I thought about the people I had met, and hoped the friendships would last.

A/N I know that Buffy didn't come out until the last book takes place, but now it started a little before when this takes place, and I'll probably do that with a lot of Shows/Books/Movies. I know, I know, really short chapter, but the next one will include all of her first actual day, which will be long.
