•Okay so
That's probably the only sad thing to have happened in Tessa's life BUT ITS DAMN SAD MATE. THERE WAS NO ONE SHE CARED MORE ABOUT THEN HER BABY BROTHER. SIX YEARS OLD. HE WAS SIX. I JUST—

• Based on a story my mom told me about her old friend who's younger sister died in a car accident (LIKE WHAT HAPPENS HERE) that just made me S O B

• The first and second pic I think are clear enough, but the third one isn't so much. It's Tessa giving a speech at her bros funeral. She chokes up mid way and has to leave. (You can hear my heart shatter—)

• See Sona? Ya wanna know why she's there and Marlowe ain't? It's cause she never knew Tessa even had a brother, whereas Marlowe, well the only reason she did was because she used to babysit him. She went to the funeral and all, and she was the one to comfort Tessa which is why they're so close. When Sona went she was shocked, but her first impulse was to stay back and comfort Tessa. She didn't know Tessa had a brother and when she found out she didn't know he was dead since Tessa said they were going to visit her brother on his birthday. She only found out when they were at the grave right there.

• It also relates to why Tessa is stubbornly against her feelings for Caly. See, Caly acts a lot like her little brother, the main point being the shared love for Tessa between her younger brother and Caly. So of course, because Tessa blames herself for what happened to her brother (she even refers to herself as "his bad luck charm" T^T) she refuses to even acknowledge her feelings for Caly.

• The. Moment. Caly finds out about this, It would probably be from a breakdown from Tessa. Tessa wouldn't tell her any other way.

• Or maybe Marlowe, she might tell Caly if Tessa snaps at her for no reason. Depends. Marlowe got that sense of what needs to be said and when

• Tessa's grown from losing her brother. What sucked the most was that she lost him on his birthday TT^TT. But that convinced her to work at DancerTech, believe it or not. She needed to get her mind away from it and that was how she did it.

• Her lil bros old school still has a little seat that is saved for the "flower boy". That was her little brothers nickname, because on his first day of school he gave all the girls, boys and teachers- even the principle and the janitors- flowers unique to them. Tessa helped, because at that time she worked at the flower shop. She told her brother it was free for his new friends, then had it taken out of her salary and took another job to make up for it.

• Tessa worked a lot cause even though her dad made plenty she always wanted to get something special for him and her brother for their birthdays and needed extra for it. Not to mention Christmas- which they celebrated because her family was Christian (though she herself is agnostic)

• Just. CALY GET OVER HER AND HUG HER RIGHT NOW
