"Introduction" No. 8

Every day and every night
When the time is around nine
I go outside, smile at the dark
As the wind makes a remark
And as I look up at the stars I see
All the sheen that we could be
Such a pleasure to imagine
Every moment that could happen

I've been alone for a long time
And I can't say that I've been fine
But there's somebody I hold onto
When I forget that there's love
And she might never feel the same
But I would take a little pain
If that would mean that in the morning
She will be the first to call me

I haven't seen her for a while
And I miss every single smile
All the strength she's given me
As her eyes connect with mine
And every time she's teasing me
Her face just tells what I believe
The next time I'm gonna see her
Forever I'll treasure the view

I sit back down right on the ground
There's nothing here that makes a sound
So I can hear as my heart beats
Faster than it's ever done
'Cause I know that when tomorrow comes
From loneliness, pure love'll become
As for myself, I'll reassure
