I didn't mean to fall asleep but gasped when a ringing woke me up.

I popped up but was restricted by a large arm. I spooned Kace and Augustus spooned me. I saw Augustus's phone ringing and panicked when I saw it was Kace's mom. I wiggled around and was shocked to see neither of them stirred. Those Bain boys slept like rocks.

I quickly rolled over the kid and wrapped Auggie's arms around him. I grabbed the phone and quickly answered it while walking towards the door.

"Gus? You know Kace has a doctors appointment in the morning and-"

"I-I'm so sorry. This is Esme, the boys are sleeping right now and I know Auggie worked really late last night. I'm so sorry I could drop him off if you want-"

"Oh sweetie! You're Esme! Nice to meet the girl the boys won't shut up about."

I quirked a smile, "sorry about that. Kace is a very well behaved boy, we get along great."

"It's not just him that talks about you all the time. Augustus mentioned you sophomore year when you moved here. I hear about you all the time." My breath hitched at the revelation and I glanced to said man.

He was still sleeping, "I'm Lauren by the way. Do you mind sending me your address so I can get Kace?"

"Of course again I'm sorry this was an inconvenience."

"Oh it's no biggie. Kace having a new friend is a big deal," I texted her the address and quickly went to say goodbye.

"I'll see you soon Lauren," I glanced up to see Auggie running his hand through his hair while staring at me. It was dimly lit in the room but I could clearly see his eyes. They looked tired.

"I'm sorry," I quickly handed his phone back.

"It's fine Esme. Rather you answer it than Lauren freak out. You can go on my phone whenever."

I sent him a smile before sitting down next to him. "She'll be here soon but..." I paused. It wouldn't be terrible if he stayed here. I couldn't send him on the road so exhausted.

"But you can stay here if you want."

He smiled smally while resting his head against the cushions, "You're too kind princess."

"I don't think I should, alone with you in a house is temptation I won't even try to fight."

I pursed my lips at his words and blushed lightly.

"I-I don't want you going out while you're so tired. Besides I haven't had someone stay with me in a while, I wouldn't mind company at all."

He turned his head lazily to meet my gaze. I gave an encouraging smile he leaned over and kissed the corner of my mouth.

"Can't say no to you," He rasped. I smiled and leaned against his chest. It was Friday anyways, so we wouldn't have to go to school. Kace didn't have to go to his first grade little field trip that got canceled due to weather.

"Football practice starts tomorrow," he groaned into my hair.

"That's fun." The way Augustus was skyrocketed through the social hierarchy besides his infamous temper was his talents on the football field. He was the star wide receiver of the Falcons offense. He was on varsity freshman year.

He grumbled quietly. Even though he was the most valuable player, that does not mean he enjoyed being around so many people. He tolerated his team more than anyone else but it was hell for their opponents. Even when he didn't have the most contact in his position, he always managed to cause some damage. Considering he was chiseled by god himself and humongous in stature it wasn't hard.

"You know the past two years you've only come to one game per season," I glanced up in shock. How did he notice that. In reality I came  to see him.

"I always made sure we won those games." It was true, Augustus always made a ridiculous amount of touchdowns when I went.

"How kind. Thanks to you I've seen two fights on the field." He winced sheepishly and I kissed his cheek once again.

"I'll go to more games this season if you want," he nodded with his eyes closed.

He ran his hands through my tangled hair.

"I have softball practice to coach for a traveling team near your field. Maybe I can visit you when I'm done." He peaked an eye open at me.

"You coach for the minors team?" I nodded before telling him we're doing sliding drills.

I jumped when someone knocked and quickly got up with Augustus. He pulled a tired Kace into his arms and I opened the door for him. I smiled at the woman on the other side. She was a few years older than us and had a wide grin.

She quickly grabbed Kace from Auggie and glanced between us. Augustus leaned tiredly against the door frame as I stood, tucked against his side.

"Have fun guys. Don't end up with Kace like I did at your age." Kace looked up tiredly with a confused expression.

"I love you baby," she cooed with a smirk. My ears went red but I still smiled at them and waved bye.

I closed the door and turned to see Auggie half asleep on the couch already. I would be leaving earlier than him to set up the fields but I couldn't bring myself to go upstairs. As I stood there thinking I saw Augustus opening his arms. I smiled and jumped at the opportunity. I set my alarm and kneeled over him before snuggling up against him.

I shot up quickly when the alarm went off. I turned off my alarm as I gathered myself. I glanced under me to see Augustus snoring. I placed my hands on his chest as I straddled him. I hummed as I got up slowly and went to get dressed.

I pulled on navy blue softball pants with a pink belt. I gripped a t-shirt and tied it back quickly. I packed my bag quickly and gripped my sunglasses.

I hopped down the steps just catching Augustus who was waking up. I grabbed an apple and my keys before leaning over the couch.

"Auggie I'm leaving I'll see you at your practice." When I pulled away he gripped my neck and I gasped when he gripped my neck and yanked me back down against his lips.

His lips moved quick against my plump ones. I moaned accidentally and flushed. I felt him smirk as he nipped at my bottom lip before pulling away.

I stuttered my way out the door before scrambling to my Jeep.

I made it to the fields on record time and looked across the street to see where the Falcons would be practicing soon.

I looked at the young girls gathering and got ready to fine tune their sliding and planned on going to the cages later.

I slid on my glasses and started instructing.
