19.2: Fear The Reaper
I woke up, my red satin sheets sprawling over my pale body. I hear a faint singing coming from the baby monitor, causing me to sit up. I toss on my red satin robe, not wanting to make the same mistake as last night.
My feet carry me to Tori's room, where I see a shirtless Archie Andrews pacing the room, singing a song to the baby in his arms. I smile, watching as he stared at her, with more love for her than anything in the world.
As he finishes the tune, I slowly clap my hands. He looks back at me, a read tint spreading across his cheeks. "Should have known that you'd be performing a private concert for a baby." I tease.
He sets the sleeping infant into her crip, walking over to me. "Are you making fun of me?"
I smile, "So what if I am?" I shrug.
The two of us stare at each other before his arms latch around my waist, carrying me out of Tori's room. I squeal, covering my mouth in attempt not to wake up my daughter, laughing as he throws me on to the couch, play wrestling me.
I eventually end up on top of him, both of us out of breath. He breathes heavily before looking up at me. "Wanna come with me to El Royale today?"
I hum, looking up at my ceiling. "What do I get out of it?"
"Me." He gestures.
I roll my eyes. "I guess it's a no brainer." I grin.
I sit on the edge of the boxing ring, chewing my gum as Archie puts some stuff away.
"Slow day?"
I look over to see Elio and his henchmen. I hop off my spot, standing next to Archie with my arms crossed.
Archie sighs. "What the hell are you doing here, Elio?" He snaps.
"We have some unfinished business." Elio says nonchalant. He looks over at me, his eyes trailing over my body. Archie notices this, and stands in front of me, standing up straighter. We watch as Elio pulls out a yellow envelope. "$50,000, courtesy of the Gilded Gloves. Despite what happened to poor Randy, you did win." He tells us. "It's yours."
"I don't want your blood-money." Archie says.
Elio sighs. "Don't be a fool, Archie. You went 12 rounds in your first fight. You're a winner. I could take you all the way to Vegas." I grip Archie's hand as Elio steps closer. "I'd call you the Riverdale Reaper. People'll pay a lot of money to see you in the ring. After all, you're a killer now."
Archie goes after Elio, but his henchmen step forward. "Three against one. Bad odds, even for you." Says Elio.
"Archie." I call out.
"Get the hell out of my gym." Archie snaps.
"Consider my offer, Reaper." The brunette says, waving the envelope before walking out.
I look up at Archie, rubbing his back soothingly. "Don't listen to him, Arch. He's trying to get into your head." I coo.
Archie sighs, turning towards me "I know." He hums before wrapping his arms around my waist.
Later that day, I sit at Pops, waiting for Hermione to pick up Tori when Sweet Pea walks in. His eyes find me, and he walks over. "Em, hey."
"What do you want, Sweet Pea?" I glare.
"I wanted to fix things. Between you and me."
I look up at him, all the anger I had boiled up trying to escape. "There's nothing to fix." I snap. "You broke us. You. Not me. You."
He shakes his head. "Emmy, please. Don't let Tori grow up in a broken home-"
"A broken home? She has a mom, she has uncles and aunts galore, and so many grand parents it's hard to keep track. She's spoiled beyond belief and she's happy. Tell me, how is she growing up in a broken home." I retort.
Sweet Pea says nothing and I scoff. "Don't even bother contacting me." Is all I say before walking out of Pops.
Archie calls me, saying he had a plan for the money. We watch as Elio walks out of the boxing gym, alone.
"Where you going at this hour?" Archie asks.
Elio looks at us. "The Reaper himself." Elio's dark eyes gaze at me. "And his Aphrodite, the seductive Goddess of love." He hums. I roll my eyes, knowing he's teasing me for my back and forth with Sweet Pea. "Finally come to your senses and reconsidered my offer?" He chuckles.
"No." Archie replies. "But I will be taking that prize money after all."
The rich suitor chuckles. "I thought it was 'blood-money'." He retorts.
"You made a promise to the Ronson family." Archie says. "That money is theirs. So give me that check, and I'll let you leave here in one piece."
My eyes widen. "Archie? What are you doing?" I hiss.
Elio clicks his tongue. "Yeah, I'm not gonna do that." He says, beginning to step into his car.
In a sudden moment, Archie swings Elio around, slamming the car door back shut. Elio's body pressed against the car, Archie's arm at his throat. "Still wanna call me the Reaper?" He growls out. I watch as Archie pulls out the envelope from Elio's suit. "You should be paying the Ronson's ten times this." Archie snaps. He pushes off Elio, storming off. "Let's go, Em." I quickly follow behind Archie, looking back at Elio. He watched me carefully. I turn back around and rush after Archie.
Archie steps into the red car, letting out a loud breath. "How'd it go?" I ask.
He nods. "Good." He sighs. The brown eyes bulldog looks at me, his hand connecting with mine. "Thank you for being here for me." He tells me.
"There's no need, Arch. You've been here for me since we were kids. I gotta catch up somehow." I laugh. We both look at each other, and I clear my throat. "I'll drive you home, okay?"
He nods. "Yeah, okay."
Veronica and I walk into the El Royale, watching Archie sweep up. "Archie, you need to get back on the horse soon, or you never will." Veronica says.
"Yeah, well, maybe that's exactly the way it should be." Archie snaps. "I don't want to be known as the Riverdale Reaper."
"Archie," I coo, walking over. "You made amends with the Ronsons the best way you could. Boxing is what you love. You're not Riverdales Reaper." I hum. "If anything, you're more like it's Red Hope." I giggle. "Come on, Bubs, you know you wanna."
"For T." Veronica chirps, holding up a giggling Victoria.
Archie chuckles. "Thanks, guys."
We watch as Archie gets into the ring. "So, you and Archie are bonding." V hums.
I look at her, "Oh, yeah, I guess." I shrug.
"Are you two going to prom together?" She asks me.
My eyes widen. "Oh, I don't know. That sounds a little-"
"Amazing." She bumps my shoulder, and I roll my eyes.
Prom with Archie Andrews.
A dream that would only come true for a princess.

i'm listening to the carrie episode soundtrack, and i kinda wish i had that incorporated more in Emilia.
anywho, tonight's the season 3 finale meaning we are close to the end of this book.
until book 3!
i have decided that Emilia's story will continue into season 4, and yes the order will get mixed up because i'm going to be working on book 1 aka season 1. so season 4 might be book 4 who knows.
but not the point
thank you all for joining me on this journey. i honestly didn't think emilia's story would get all the love it has. it was originally a story that i wrote when i was bored in the span of a month, but now it's a piece of my daily life. i'm constantly thinking of new ideas and how i'm going to incorporate her in Riverdale. she's my first character that has gained popularity and i'm so thankful. she's very important to me and i think important to some of you:))
thank you, once again.
see you soon:))
