Our date was indeed
The start of something great.
We went to an art museum
And then she showed me the art she had create.

She created abstract art.
Her work was colorful and expressed feelings in some way.
She asked me what I thought about it,
I was blown away.

She said that art helped her express her emotions.
I said I felt the same about writing.
I then realized we all have demons
That we are fighting.

She opened up to me
About how her parents were never there.
I opened up about
How my parents never cared.

I think we bonded
Over the feeling of being neglected.
Our relationship turned out better
Than any of us had expected.

After several dates
We decided to become exclusive.
I was a bit frightened about committing,
Because in my life I was never inclusive.

Roland washed all of those worries away.
I would do anything to make her smile.
I knew all good things end,
But I hoped she would stay for a while.

My school became increasingly difficult
But I managed to stay on top.
I had an internship at a magazine.
Soon I'd graduate and my classes would stop.

After graduation Rolanda planned to find a job,
Preferably in with art.
She wanted to get her work out there
So putting together a collection was the start.

After graduation
We are thinking about getting an apartment.

I will try to get a job in the journalist department.

For once in my life,
I felt that things were going right.
