SHIVAAN'S POV

" Naira... Naira... Are even you listening?" I asked. When I didn't get any reply, I turned and saw the space beside me empty. Awesome, she's gone. 

" Naira...." I shouted and turned around. I saw someone drag her from behind. Her eyes were already shutting. I ran towards them.

" Rian... Call Dane and others. They are already here." I yelled.

" Shivaan, nice to meet you. It's been a long time." He stopped. Naira was still struggling in his hand. I had beads of sweat dripping despite the cold atmosphere of the club. I knew this was coming and I was prepared for it but Naira wasn't and I don't want her to panic. There were a few steps between us and in the dark, I could see her blue eyes reflecting fear. 

" Zach... I know it's you." I walked closer. 

" Good for you. But I'm taking her with me." He went on moving back. His voice was different from what I remembered. He sounded rusted. 

" You're surrounded. You can't go anywhere." I informed still going closer to them.

" Don't act smart. Do you think that I have come unprepared? Don't move. Or else..." He said putting a knife on Naira's neck and letting go of his hold on her mouth. He pulled her hand behind to trap her.

" S-Shivaan... Please..." I heard her faint voice.

" Oh!! I see you've made friends with your kidnapper, Naira. Huh! No doubt Shivaan, you are such a charmer. Just like how you were in high school." He said bringing the knife closer to her neck.

" Zach, she isn't aware of who you are. But I am."

" So.. What? I ain't afraid of anything now. I have come here to get what is mine and I intend to do that. " I could see a drop of blood tricking down her neck.

" You can't hurt her, Zach." My voice was becoming hoarse. I knew Zach and Kabir Bakshi had a feud but I also knew that he would never hurt Naira. She was too precious. There is something else that I wasn't aware of. But, one thing is true. This person is insane.

At once Rian went behind them. Zach realized his presence behind him and turned around. Taking advantage of the situation I ran towards them and before he would realize I pulled his hand away from Naira's neck. Naira was about to collapse when I held her in my hands.

" Shit!" Zach cursed removing his gun from his pocket. We were also surrounded by his people now. They were in black too. Fuck, what the hell.  I shouldn't have brought her here. I knew it was a mistake and foolishly, I keep on repeating them. 

" You did it on purpose, right?" I heard him say as I pointed my gun toward him.

" Of course, I wanted to meet you in person," I shouted pulling Naira with me. He in turn showed his gun to me. I heard some random gunshots from behind. Zach turned and I had to carry Naira with me. She was unconscious now. 

" Naira... Naira..." I called but she seemed too traumatized to respond.

" Boss... The car is waiting." I heard Rian say. I carried Naira in my arms and had my gun in the other hand.

" Shivaan... Are you running away like a coward again?" I heard him yell. I turned and fired some random shots at him.

Naira's hands were wrapped around me. Her dress was very short indeed, I noticed. It was going way up her thighs and I don't know why that made me furious. I thought I had a plan but I wasn't planning to get ambushed as we did. I should've prepared well. 

The car was waiting for us. I got in.

" Dane! You're here? Is Rian alone there? "

" No... There are others with him. Don't worry boss. Home?"

" Yes..." 

Naira was still closely wrapped around me. Her eyes were closed. I could see a small cut on her neck. There was blood around the thin creases of her neck. It wasn't a massive cut. I removed my kerchief and gently wiped it.

" Ah!! " She moaned.

" Naira... Are you alright? " I asked holding her chin. She looked at me and I could see tears in her eyes. At once she threw her hands behind my neck and pulled me into a tight hug. She was still crying.

" Naira... It's fine... Nothing happened to you. " I assured but my heart was beating unabashedly loudly.

She looked at me and I noticed that she was angry with me but then she didn't say anything. We reached home and I carried her to her room. I was surprised that she didn't resist any of that. No doubt that she looked gorgeous in the navy blue dress she wore. One can't blame me for not worrying about what happened. 

I made her sit on the bed and handed her a glass of water. She was still in gaze and I know for sure I'm going to hell for my deeds. I brought the first aid kit. The cut wasn't deep but couldn't be neglected though. As I was about to nurse her she pushed my hand.

I gave her a 'What' look.

" Naira... Don't be stupid. Let me do it." I said.

" No. Why do you care? You were aware of it. This was gonna happen. You knew it. Right?" She looked into my eyes and I was undone.

I nodded.

At once she started hitting me.

" Why? Why? Why didn't you tell me then? Why would you take me with you?" She shouted her hand still on my chest. I held it firmly and she looked at me. Her eyes were red. It was a rare amalgam of ocean blue and scarlet red that one can ever witness. 

" I did warn you. Don't you remember? " I defended my actions but I knew it was weak. She was looking at me attentively.

" You don't have an answer now. You're so obstinate that you still don't realize the peril you are in. It was good that I was ready in case they came."

" You knew it and you still did this to me. Why? If you want to kill me then kill me now." She pulled my hand.

" Naira... If I wanted you dead don't you think I'd have already done that? "

" Do you know how it feels when someone is holding a knife against your neck? That too when you aren't aware of why is all that happening to you. "

" No, I don't know. But it was an ambush. I might not have anticipated the extremity of it but now you realize that your life is in danger. "

" Of course, it has to be. I am being kidnapped. "

" And you are so stubborn that I am sure you must have thought that I was trying to scare you. That's why it's for the best that this happened. Now, you know. "

" You did it twice. And what if they actually kidnapped me then? " She said looking at me.

" Then what? You are already experienced. "

" Fuck you, Shivaan. What if I was killed tonight? That would've made you happy, right?" She was in a rage but I had no explanation. There is no way I'd ever even imagine that but she's too furious to comprehend my words.

" I'm sorry. " It's the best I could do.

" It's a pity," She looked away and I know she's hiding those tears. "But... If they really did something bad to me. Everyone is not as... " She stopped midway as if trying to tread carefully.

"... As good as me. Right? So you agree that you are safe with me. " I winked. 

" Whatever... "

" But still you need to thank me. " I said trying to distract her and lighten the situation. 

" And pray, tell why? " she asked folding her hands.

" You got rid of your cheater boyfriend thanks to me. " I smiled and I could see that she was trying hard to not return that back.

" Haha!! That I could have done without your help. Also, I don't look forward to experiencing that dreadful situation again. Do you get that... " She expressed pointing right at me.

" Fine!! I'm sorry... Again. Now let me nurse that."

" No... You can't touch me. Get out now. I don't want to see your face ever. " She shouted.

God!! This woman is so difficult.

" Mind what you say, Dear... "

" I can say whatever I wish to. You can't control that. I don't want a person like you near me. You're crazy. " She said in a furious tone and looked away. I sighed. I can't blame her. A part of me knew this could happen and I did it anyway. 

I put the kit beside her and gave her a last look as I left her room. I did that on purpose so that she doesn't try to escape in my absence. She is more difficult to handle than I thought.

I went straight to the study and opened my laptop. I had to attend a very important dealership meeting in Hong Kong. It was getting difficult to concentrate due to some reason. 

" Boss..." Just then Rian and Dane entered.

" Are you guys fine?"

" Yes... Better. But they are prepared fully this time."

" They have to be. Any of our men injured?" I asked.

" None. But I don't understand why they retreated so easily," Rian asked.

" I think they are not just after the black disc. That Zach guy is not an easy person. He has a history that we are oblivious to. "

" What is the next step? " I looked at Dane as he asked me.

" They aren't going to stay quiet for long since Naira is with us. "

" How is Naira " Rian asked me before I could complete myself.

" Stubborn like always. She has been greatly affected because of the incident. I need both of you to stay here with her. "

" But boss we were accompanying you to Hong Kong. "

" I know Dane. But we can't trust Zach and his people. And I'm sure there is someone supporting him. And I have a deep feeling that he knows a lot about us already. "

" But you can't travel alone. It can be dangerous. "

" I'll take someone else with me. I can't trust everyone with Naira. "

" But 3 weeks is a long time boss. "

" I'm aware. That's why I want you two to stay here and ensure that she is safe. Zach will do anything if he knows I'm not around. I have a meeting with the Casino dealers and then I have to look at the plan which we have made for the construction of the new hotel in Hong Kong. I even have a meeting with the authorities there. A lot of pending work needs to be completed and it will take me about 3 weeks. "

" Yes, boss. We will handle everything here. You take care. "

" You guys need to keep me updated about whatever is happening here. And please don't make Naira any more upset than she already is. We need her to cooperate."

They were grinning now.

" Did you hear me? "

" Y-Yes... Boss.... "

They left soon after that. I called Nina and informed her about the situation. She knows what to do and I don't doubt her ever.

Till 4 am, I was juggling with my pending files and then I did my packing. I slowly crept into Naira's room and saw her sleeping peacefully. Her duvet wasn't even covering her. She asked me not to show my face again and I was sure she must be happy in the morning. She didn't even change and her cut was unattended.

Careless like always. 

I quickly applied an antiseptic to her already-dried wound and covered her up in the blanket.

Bye, Naira. Stay good. Don't miss me much.

Saying so I left. Dane was waiting for me in the car. He was going to drop me off at the airport.

NAIRA'S POV

When I woke up in the morning I was still in my dress from the night. It brought last night's memories flooding back. It was the worst experience I ever had. I don't know why I had such a weird vibe that Shivaan will definitely come to rescue me, although he is the only reason why all this happening to me. My escape plan was horribly ruined. I was upset with Shivaan as he was aware of the danger and still didn't protest against me for going along with him.

The cut was already nursed when I checked it. A faint smile appeared on my face. It has to be him. I quickly had a good much-needed shower. I was also starving. I got into a tank top and denim and went downstairs. Maybe I should apologize for behaving like a brat last night. I can be at least grateful that he's making sure I'm comfortable. 

As I descended the stairs the fruity smell of pancakes surrounded me. It made me realize that my stomach was growling. Rian was sitting in the living room with a newspaper. I expected to see Shivaan there but he wasn't missing in action. Perhaps he is still sleeping. We had a rough night. 

" Morning Naira...."

" Good Morning Rian..." I said trying not to show any sort of emotion.

Just then Nina came.

" Hi! Naira. Should I bring the breakfast here itself? You must be starving."

" Hey! Actually, I'm starving. I'll accompany you." I said.

" And Rian? " Nina asked her.

" Sure, I was waiting for Naira's company. You know I've been here since last night. "

" Yes. Come in then. "

I wonder what was going on in the house. Rian had stayed the night in the house itself. But where was Shivaan? I didn't see him since morning.

We went into the dining and I sat down with my plate. Although I was starving I wasn't able to find peace. If Rian was here then Shivaan had to be somewhere around. They are inseparable. Always together. I wonder where was he. I actually did want to thank him as well as apologize for whatever happened last night. He had saved me twice.

" Naira... Are you expecting someone to join?"

" Huh?" I was startled suddenly and looked at Rian.

" Are you waiting for someone?"

Yes...

" Noo... I ain't waiting for Shivaan."

" When did I say you are waiting for him."

Shit...

" Nothing Rian. I'm famished now. Don't disturb me. " I said quickly digging into my bowl of cereal.

" Well... Are you alright after yesterday night? " He asked.

" Of course... What will happen to me?" I replied casually.

" After watching your fear-struck face last night I thought you must be in some trauma."

I was coughing instantly when I heard that.

" It was traumatic but I think I'm becoming a pro at getting kidnapped. It's rubbing on me. I'm brave. I don't get scared by such things anymore. " I shrugged. 

" Well, but Boss told me something else. "

" What did he tell you? " I asked curiously. Did he tell everyone that I was actually very scared?

" Nothing. It ain't your business anyways. " I shook my head at his answer. This house a weird set of boys under it. 

I was about to argue more when someone else too joined us.

" Morning Guys... Nina, Can I also get a plate? "

" Of course Dane...." Nina replied.

So now Dane was also present.

" How could anyone miss Nina's pancakes? Right, Rian? " He expressed with excitement.

" They are awesome. Thanks, Nina for treating us. "

" You are welcome always. Naira, didn't you like them?"

" Huh!! What?? I loved them. They are delicious. " I was so bad at hiding my state of confusion.

The back of my mind was still working on where is he. He must be asleep since it was a long tiring night. After breakfast the two were still sitting in the living.

Rian was playing PlayStation while Dane was reading the newspaper now. I wonder what happened to the two. They were acting a bit peculiar. I went to my room to have another shower for no reason. I looked towards Shivaan's room and it was close.

After the second shower when I returned the reversal of roles had happened. Rian was reading a magazine while Dane was playing. I decided to go to the library to read some books. There was nothing else to do.

About 3 hours later, my eyes were hurting and I took a short nap in the library. When I woke it was already lunchtime. I went downstairs to find the house empty. It indeed was a very dull day. I think they have left already.

" Hey! Naira. Where were you? We went to call you for lunch in your room but it happened to be vacant."

" Rian... I thought you left already. I was in the library." I replied in a monotonous tone.

Rian, Dane, and I had lunch together. Shivaan wasn't present still.

" Wanna play? "Both asked me after lunch.

" No. " I said and stormed to my makeshift room again.

I was really frustrated now. Where was he? I could have asked them too but still, I don't want them to make wrong assumptions about me. I couldn't even rest properly.

An hour passed and I was still restless. I wanted to know where did that person go. I went to the living to find both of the guys snoring.

Wow!! Two bodyguards who didn't leave Shivaan's side for a second are having a good time. I wonder why?

I went to the garden to take a stroll. I was so bored that I didn't have anything to do except for eating and sleep. I swear I'll get so fat if I stay like this. I don't even know what is going on and what time I will be able to go back home and live my life again.

Putting the thoughts aside I went for a long jog. It felt good and refreshing to loosen up. When I was back the two were already wide awake.

I went straight to the shower ignoring them. This might be the first time that I'm having three showers in a day. 

" Hey, Naira..." I ignored that and climbed the stairs toward my room. 

" I didn't know that someone is so arrogant here. Can't even talk properly."

" I heard that Rian," I shouted before vanishing in and getting into the shower to free myself of the sweat.

When I returned I thought of peaking into Shivaan's room.

" Naira... Are you searching for someone? " I heard someone from behind.

" Dane!! No... Not at all. "I replied running back to the kitchen. I helped Nina prepare the dinner but I dare not ask about Shivaan even though I really wanted to ask. Actually, I was dying to know now. 

After dinner, I was frustrated and I got up from the sofa where Rian, Dane, and I were watching some Hollywood Thriller.

" Naira. Aren't you enjoying the movie?"

" No... Dane. I ain't. It's the most stupid movie ever..." I shouted.

" Why are you so cranky today?" Rian asked.

" God!! Can anyone for god's sake tell me what the hell is going on here and where the hell is Shivaan?" I yelled in a frustrated tone.

" That's what is bothering you? Why didn't you say so? He went to Hong Kong... " Rian replied and I would say that my jaw had nearly dropped.

"Hong Kong."

WHY?

After being almost kidnapped again he chooses to run to Hong Kong.

WHY?
