Scrapped Hermit Alters Story
Wrote this about a year ago, about the time I came up with "He's Not Me". All the art for it is OLD X3
Enjoy <3
Nothing had changed about the server around him. The bland terra-cotta landscape was exactly how he remembered it. Except now there was someone else. Hels, as he had called himself, was around 6 foot. He wore a set of dark grey armor, and on his helmet was a never ending swirling tail of fire. The man had now collapsed next to the hole of his prison, for his helmet hadn't yet filtered the air around him. Hels's red eyes stared at the newly freed hermit, and a smile fell across his face.
"So you are the great and powerful Evil Xisuma? The destructor and corrupter of the Hermitcraft Server?" Hels leaned against a withered tree and smiled. Ex looked up at him and rolled his eyes, propping himself up with his arms.
"Suddenly decided to go evil WelsKnight," Ex said, now easing into the change in surroundings. Hels scowled at Ex.
"Do not compare me to that weakling of a knight." Hels pushed himself off the tree and walked over to Ex. "I am merely a clone, the pure embodiment of all of his evil. And 10 times better" Hels scoffed. Ex stood up next to him and brushed the terra-cotta dust off his pants. Ex then turned to face the knight in confusion.
"Is it still season 6?" Ex asked. Hels returned a confused look to the red armored man. He then pushed past Ex and towards the center of the season 5 servers shopping district.
"We are wasting time." Hels grunted as he pulled out a flint and steel and walked up to a portal that wasn't there the last time Ex remembered. Ex meet Hels at the portal as Hels began to try to ignite it.
"You didn't answer my question. Is it still season 6," Ex said now getting slightly pissed at the knight. Hels gave no answer as the portal ignited, the hypnotizing purple swirls now spinning.
"You want me to answer your question, fine," Hels glanced at Ex. Before Ex could react Hels fell backwards, swallowed by the purple swirls. Ex stopped freaking out as soon as he realized he was meant to follow Hels. Ex groaned.
"Stupid Clones."
Hels stepped out of the portal, his boots clanking against him as they set foot on the grass. The large diamond trees loomed over the path in front of him. Oh how Scar loved to flaunt his wealth. Hels turned around as Ex appeared behind him. Hels smirked at the Void man as he stared in confusion.
"You really like pissing me off don't you," Ex said. Hels put on a mischievous grin and shrugged. Hels was about to respond when the two heard rockets sound above them. Ex quickly grabbed the knight by the shoulder and pulled in back into the nether portal. Hels let out a noise of protest, but it was swallowed up by the violent swirling of the portal, the two disappearing as soon as the hermit landed where they were previously standing.
Hels fell backwards, crashing onto the coarse blackstone of the nether hub. Ex wobbled out, barely maintaining his balance beside Hels. Ex frowned as he maintained his balance.
"We were out in the open, and someone could have easily seen us." He said. "If Xisuma knows we are here then it's all over." Hels looked at him confused.
"Shouldn't your name have showed up on comms?" Hels said as he held up a communicator(which he probably stole from Wels). Hels's glitched name shown in chat.
"Oh I glitched my name out of the system a long time ago," Ex said. "Being an admin then had its perks." Ex grinned, possibly remembering all of the destruction he caused before his brother took away his admin abilities. Hels rolled his eyes as the older man gloated. Ex began to walk further into the nether hub. "We need to find a good place to lay low. Until I can get my admin powers back."
"You're getting your admin powers back?" Hels asked in confusion. Ex spun around to face the knight, he flashed a smile through his helmet.
"Well of course, Can't destroy an entire SERVER without it!"
Hels grinned at the Void man's enthusiasm, but it quickly ended as Ex frowned through his helmet. He looked at Hels, expecting something from him.
"Right-" Hels said, turning to walk down a hall. "I know a place we can lay low for a while, VintageBeef abandoned his starter base so it will be the perfect place." Hels began to walk ahead of the void man. Ex nodded and began to follow him. If Hels had been a normal hermit, the heat of the nether would have slowly killed him, but unlike the hermits, Hels was a nether knight and was used to the heat. He wasn't sure how Ex would handle it, but seeing as he had been rotting in a lava pit for almost 3 seasons he was sure he would be fine. "Are you sure Xisuma will be able to give you your admin abilities back?" Ex turned around and looked at the knight. Ex stops for a second, before continuing forward.
"Xisuma won't give them to me willingly," Ex clenched his fists, unsheathing one large sharp dagger from the inside of his glove. "but I'm sure he will come around,"
Xisuma couldn't decide. The bee man sat on top of one of his many looming trees, looking down over the jungle. Since no one was around, he had his helmet off, His brown hair drifted back and forth in the wind. It wasn't often that X took the helmet off for he couldn't really breathe the overworld air for long, but every once in a while he felt like talking it off. X had so many things that had to be done. After a minute of staring out at the vast jungle, X decided finally it was time to do something. He placed his hand against the trunk of the large tree he was perched on and began to lift himself up. His bee wings began to buzz a little as he did. He stopped when he felt his foot knock his helmet, which sent it over the side of the branch and plummeting to the ground.
"Dᔑᒲリ ╎ℸ ̣" X cursed, his freckles glowed as the words slipped from his mouth. He dove down from the tree just as the helmet crashed onto the jungle floor. His boots hit the ground with a thud, echoing the crash of X's helmet. X picked up the helmet, turning it over to reveal a large dent in the side. He slipped it on to see the damages. "Comms are out." X sighed. Annoyed at his clumsy actions, X took off and landed up at his storage tower. He grabbed a leather bag that sat on top of a shulker box, the bag full of X's various personal items. X swung the bag over his shoulder and stepped into the nether portal in front of him. As he stepped out, the heat of the nether hit him hard. His suit thankfully protected him from the intense heat, something he was always grateful for. As he began to head towards the shopping district portal, he began to notice there were deep footprints in the netherrack. His gaze followed the prints towards the array of tunnels before him. He clicked the side of his helmet to try to get a scan. The helmet screen glitched for a second, flickering in and out. X sighed and just clicked off his helmet. He needed to get this fixed soon.
The nauseating nether portal blurred X's vision as he stepped out into the shopping district. He blinked for a second and looked up to see two hermits gathered around a pumpkin stand. xB was standing on the ground smiling as Keralis stood on top of the cart shouting 'Free pumpkins'. The younger hermit turned to see X and grinned as X approached the two.
"Hi X-" xB was about to continue but Keralis jumped down in between the two, his googly eye glasses almost falling off his face.
"Ahhh! SHASHWAMY! Want some free poopkins?" He shouted. X laughed at the man's enthusiasm, xB also giving Keralis a weak smile.
"He's been trying to sell me these for the past 5 minutes." xB said warning X that Keralis might try to do the same.
"I would love some pumpkins Keralis!" X said and climbed onto the cart to grab a shulker box full of pumpkins he was sure he would never use. It didn't hurt to be prepared though. Keralis thanked X for being supportive of the pumpkin trade, glancing at xB with an annoyed smile. xB laughed nervously as Keralis began to laugh as well. xB soon gave in, taking one of the pumpkin boxes.
"Is your helmet ok Shashwamy?" Keralis asked, pointing to the large dent in the side.
"I dropped it, no big deal," X assured him. Keralis's concerned expression faded back into a big smile. X said goodbye to the two and walked off towards the 'Red Zone'. As he walked he heard Keralis continuing to draw more hermits in for some free orange goodness. X walked into the Red Zone, the observers under the door being set off at the sudden movement. All X needed was a few redstone components and tools to hopefully try to fix his ruined helmet. He pulled out a few diamonds from his bag and began to shop.
By the time Xisuma returned to his base it was very close to being night. His bee wings buzzed behind him as they carried the hermit to his destination. His feet hit the quartz floor of the storage tower with a clank. He set all of his newly purchased redstone components down on a table and pulled over a chair. He took off his helmet, the air hit his face as a draft of wind blew through the open walled structure. He rubbed his gloved hands through his messy hair and sat down in the chair. He pushed a keypad on his arm that pulled up different commands and other admin things. He pulled up the blueprints of his helmet and picked up a few tools. Once the comms in his helmet were fixed X would continue with the plans for his base. He just hoped nothing happened while his comms were out.
Ex stood outside one of the entrances of VintageBeef's sandstone village, Hels standing behind him. Ex kicked open one of the rugged spruce doors, his helmet scanned the room, revealing no life inside.
"All clear." Ex said, then stepping inside the large building. Ex was not surprised to find the base covered in gold. There were multiple hallways going in multiple directions, all though one went down towards a staircase. "Looks like no one has been here in awhile." he said, running a finger across the slightly dusty gold tile. Hels nodded and walked down towards the staircase. Ex followed down and he looked up to see a weird looking machine, it looked broken, way too broken to be fixed. "What is this." Ex asked, placing a hand on one of the walls of the contraption.
"It's a duplicator. It can create clones of anyone who steps inside. Too bad is broken." Hels said, annoyed at the state of the cloner.
"This is what brought you here, or separated you from Wels?" Ex asked. Hels nodded and spun on his heel back towards the stairs. Ex followed the knight back up the stairs and into a large gold dining room. Ex pulled out the main head chair and sat down, swinging his boots up onto the slick gold table. He clicked something on his arm and clicked the keypad, bringing up a screen. He began to scroll through as Hels leaned against the table across from him. After a few moments, Ex sprung up and began to head towards the exit. Hels stood up in confusion and turned to the red armored hermit.
"Where are you going??" He demanded. Ex gave no response as he disappeared into the old nether portal. Hels grunted in annoyance, as he realised that Ex wouldn't be telling him anything on his own. The knight trudged after Ex and into the portal. "Hey-" Hels said. "If we are going to be working together you-" Hels was cut off by the portal. He opened his eyes and continued to go after Ex as the two ran through the nether. "You are going to have to tell me things." Ex turned around to Hels.
"I am getting my admin powers back, you can go sit back at that gold dump and wait for me to get back." Ex demanded. Hels drew his sword. Hels had brought Ex here, so Ex would listen to him.
"No. It is because of me you even got out of that hell hole, you have no control over anything here. You need me! You have no idea where anything is or who is where. If anything you will end up waddling around like a helpless baby." Hels yelled. Ex's eyes lowered, his dark red pupils diming through his helmet.
"You will listen to me, and go back. Put your sword down or I will do much worse to you than a few cuts from a dinky sword." and with that Ex spun around and left the knight standing in the netherrack hall. Hels tightened his grip on his sword and shoved it back in its holster. Fine, he would wait. But Ex would be back, Ex needed him even if he doesn't realise it.
Ex stepped out of Xisuma's nether portal and quickly observed his surroundings. The portal was up on a high tower that loomed over a vast jungle biome. Multiple towers jutted out from the jungle floor. Across a large road was a construction and shipping container themed base and some city towers. He looked above him to see a bee statue with a Keralis face, confirming the base adjacent to X's was indeed Keralis's. Ex jumped to a branch, grabbing a hold of it and pulling himself up. If he knew his brother, the most central tower would be some sort of storage or living space, so that's where he headed. Ex parkoured from tree to tree, heading towards a large box shaped tower. Once he made it to the entrance of the tower, the void man was out of breath, his helmet filter not keeping up with his need for air. He lifted himself up and rolled onto the floor of the storage tower. No one was in sight as he stood up, relieved to not have to climb anymore. Ex began to look around, opening shulker boxes and trying to find anything that would be useful. He opened one and saw an elytra folded inside. He smiled and grabbed it from the box. 'This would be useful.' He took a few rockets, praying he hadn't lost his touch when it came to flying. All he needed to do now was get Xisuma's keypad. It was attached to his suit and allowed him to put in commands. If he could type in the right command, then he could get his admin powers back....and possibly take away Xisuma's. Ex jumped as he heard a few rockets go off in the distance. Ex equipped the stolen elytra and glided out one of the entrance zones, he landed on a ledge beneath it and poked his head up and into the base. Xisuma landed, his suit replaced by a bee themed one. Ex couldn't lie, he looked stupid. The bee man walked across the room and tiredly plopped down on a chair at a desk in the center of the room. X took off his helmet to reveal a face only him and his brother have seen, and shared. The two being twins was one of the things Ex hated the most about them. He set his helmet on the desk and took a deep breath. Xisuma, unlike Ex, had been out in the overworld air much more than Ex. So he had almost completely adjusted to the overworld surroundings, no longer needing to breathe void air. After a few minutes, X placed something on the table from off his suit and stood up, facing towards where Ex was hiding. Ex hid back below the ledge, hoping to not be seen. His brother's footsteps moved across the room. When Ex looked back up he saw that his brother had disappeared down a flight of stairs, Ex assumed that down there was his living quarters. Left on the table were various pieces of equipment and X's helmet, along with a certain disconnected keypad. Ex smiled and pulled himself up and back into the room. He silently ran over and picked up the keypad and pulled up the small holographic screen that shined from it. His fingers shook as he typed in one single command.
/op EvilXi_
Ex was about to finish the command when he heard his brother coming back up from below the room. Ex cursed under his breath and quickly deleted the code. He dropped the keypad, ran and dove out the exit. His elytra activated as his feet left the floor. Ex glided into the darkness, turning back to see his brother's silhouette in the light casually sitting back down at the table, completely unaware Ex had only just been there.
Ex landed back outside the gold abomination and slammed open the door. He threw off the stolen elytra and stormed down the hall into the dinning room. Ex saw Hels sitting at the head of the table. Hels chuckled as Ex entered the room, his mouth forming into a shitty grin.
"Well, ready to destroy the server Mr. Admin?" Hels said, completely aware that Ex had failed. Ex growled between his teeth and sat down at the table. His fist collided with the gold table in anger as he pushed himself up. Hels's eyebrows raised as Ex made his way across the room and towards him. "You don't seem so happy to have successfully gotten your WORLD ENDING abilities back?" Hels taunted. Ex glared at Hels and unsheathed his glove dagger.
"Don't rub it in clone. I get it." Ex said, his anger settling. He flicked his hand to set the dagger back in its place. There were a few long minutes of silence until Ex turned towards Hels. "We need more members." Ex said placing both hands on the table. Hels looked up in confusion.
"What?"
"We need more...help." Ex said, the word made him cringe as he said it. Hels stood up.
"Help?"
"Yes. Help, and I think I know who to ask," Ex smiled as he told Hels what to do. The two stepped into the nether portal and went off to go recrute two "Hermits" Ex was sure would assist him.
NPC Grian sat alone. The only light in his small, tight room coming in through the cracks in the door. NPC Grian sighed and drew his legs closer to his chest. He knew he was never going to get out, the spark in his eyes from years ago had almost completely faded. There was no hope for him. NPC Grian's face turns to anger as his brain floods with pure jealousy. Grian was outside, with a life, while he was just stuck here rotting like a piece of scrap metal. NPC Grian flung his legs outward in anger, crashing them hard into the wooden door. The force suddenly caused the door to budge. NPC Grian's eyes widened. 'That had never happened...' NPC pushed his metal hands up against the wall and used as much force he could manage to kick the door. Over and over again, until the force caused the door to smash outwards. NPC Grian stood up in amazement.
"I did it! Im free!" NPC Grian exclaimed as he stepped out of his closet prison for the first time in years. He felt stupid for never having done that in the first place but yet again, you dont think straight when your in trapped in a closet for over 5 years. He pushed open the large front door of the house, he stepped out in front of it to admire the rustic house he had been trapped inside for so long. The spruce structure was now covered in vines and moss. He smiled as it made it look even more rustic and beautiful. NPC Grian jumped as he heard something behind him. There was movement near the path that led from the rustic house and out into the forest. Suddenly a figure emerged from the trees, his dark red armor suddenly very vibrant against the dark trees. NPC Grian backed up, closer to the house. The figure looked to be a man, around 6'3. He was covered in dark and red armor plates and had his face covered by a darkly colored helmet. Two curved horns stuck out of the sides of the helmet, and through the man's helmet NPC Grian could see two dark piercing eyes. Suddenly the man spoke, his rough british voice loud in the silent forest.
"That's quite a good structure. Did you build it?" The man asked, his boots sinking into the dirt as he walked closer. NPC Grian, still shocked to see another person, stumbled forward.
"Y-Yes, But it was a long time ago." NPC Grian stammered. "I couldn't do much better now however."
"Well you can't really practice while being trapped. Believe me I know." The man said, staring down at the small NPC. NPC Grian looked up at him surprised.
"How did you-"
"You really think you got out of that closet on your own?" The man said as he held a small metal door hinge in his hands. "Now why don't you tell me why you were locked up in a closet for so long NPC Grian." NPC Grian jumped as he heard his name, he was positive he hadn't said it this entire time. He realised this guy didn't just come to free him. He wanted something.
"My creator..trapped me in there." NPC Grian said. The man spun to stand behind NPC Grian.
"Did you do anything wrong?" He asked, looking down NPC Grian. NPC Grian's eyes narrowed.
"No. No I didn't. But why do you care-" NPC Grian questioned as he walked away from the looming man. "I stared at the same 4 walls for 5 years! While Grian ran off like nothing was wrong. Do you know how hard it is to rot somewhere, KNOWING that someone knows you are there but wont let you out because they DON'T CARE?! He should have been the one to rot for what he did to me. He needs to feel the same pain I have!" NPC Grian screamed. The man gave no reaction at NPC Grians outburst. He just stood there. NPC Grian couldn't see his frown, but he knew he was. His eyes were frowning for him.
"You think you have gone through pain, I can show you pain. I have seen and experienced things that you couldn't even imagine. Things I could do to you right now if I wanted. Oh how pleasing it would be to hear you scream." The man said, tightening his hand that now rested on NPC Grian's shoulder. "However, I feel that we can inflict much more pain on....Grian." The man's eyes smiled as he pulled out 5 bracelets from his pocket. Each one shined with a different color, power illuminating from each one. "I can allow you to hurt all of those who have wronged you. If you come with me." The man said, tossing the bracelets into NPC Grian's hands. NPC Grian stood in awe as the 5 bracelets clutched to his wrists, forming together into a golden gauntlet. NPC Grian looked up at the man and smiled.
"Where to Mr. Red guy?"
Hels stood under the diamonds trees in the shopping district. It was night so all of the hermits were asleep, and he was sure no one would be around. Badtime's stood next to Hels admiring his alter ego's fine tree work. Hels figured out on his journey to find the alter ego, that Badtimes is a horrible builder. Almost 10 times worse than Hels. Badtimes was dressed in GoodtimewithScar's normal outfit, just the colors were a lot more faded, and on the shoulders were multiple small spikes. Hels also learned that Badtimes had a small iguana, named Jam. The reptile currently sat on top of Badtimes cowboy hat, trying to lick one of the diamond fruits. Hels faced away from the man and his lizard and looked back towards the nether portal.
"Where is he." Hels said. BadTimes turned towards Hels and shrugged.
"Don't ask me buddy, Though im sure they are fine-" Badtimes waved an arm at the portal. Jam reached down as BadTimes waved his hand up and bit it. BadTimes growled and angrily pointed at the scaled beast. "Hey- Do I look like a diamond to you? Greedy lizard." The lizard stuck out its tongue and raised itself back onto the hermit's hat. Hels rolled his eyes at the two and stared back towards the nauseating portal. Hels's eyes widened as he saw a dark red boot step through and into the overworld. Ex emerged from the portal, followed by a small weird looking Grian. The gremlin look alike and was flexing and messing around with a weird gauntlet that was on his left hand. Each of its 5 colored gems emitting a small light. He was a bit shorter than Grian, and his eyes were a piercing blue, unlike Grian's more dim gray ones. Ex walked away from the Grian look alike and towards Hels and Badtimes. Badtimes turned to face both Ex and Hels and put his hands on his hips
"Well isn't this a surprise, I had no idea I would be meeting face to face with the great Evil Xisuma!" Badtimes grinned. Hels gave a confused look to Badtimes, announcing that he had literally told him that Ex would meet them here not but 10 minutes ago. Badtimes shrugged. "Well I thought that it would sound cooler if I didn't know." Ex watched the Grian look alike run around like a child. The thing ran around, looking at every little detail of every building, block and piece of grass. Hels was glad that he wasn't the one to drag that thing here. Ex called it or NPC Grian over and the four all stepped into the nether portal.
Hels began to walk in the direction of the sandy town base but stopped as Ex turned in the opposite direction. Hels and Badtimes(who had followed him) looked at the void man in confusion.
"Now where the hell are you going?" Hels asked. Ex waved a hand back at him, and continued forward.
"I think it is about time we all go pay my dear brother a visit." Ex walked on leaving Hels and Badtimes standing in the hall. Hels scoffed, he now officially didn't like how Ex acted, even if he was the main way Hels will destroy this server.
And thats all I ever wrote for it X3 I gave BadTimes an Iguana and its my favorite thing ever, I love Jam so much. Also that was the only time I've ever been able to draw an iguana, I haven't been able to since :P
