A few months ago, i thought it would be really fun to get a whole bunch of Hermits and put them into the AI Dungeon quest things to see what I would get. This evolved into me trying to mix all of their different stories into one! I never really got to write it out but I did get a full timeline laid out!

(The world template I used was "Alarathos" and the main world building for that belongs to AI Dungeon and the templates creator <3)

Ok here we go. Let's just start out with who is in this and what their descriptions are. You can skip this if you just want to go in seeing the timeline only. 

All of these are done by the AI, all I did was put their names in. This is gonna be a lot of words-

-There was a war in the past of good and evil, where Ren(a knight) sacrificed himself to contain the Nightmare Tyrant. The two were trapped for a very long time in the Tyrant's realm.(He is now like a dark werewolf, due to the combining of his human body and the nightmare tyrants large wolf form)

-Now in the present, Ren is threatening to escape his eternal prison. Using a specific knight to try and get him out.

-The Dark Order, a power ruling authority in the main realm, has learned about the Nightmare Tyrant and have sent a team of knights to find the prison gate to the realm and make sure it can never be opened.

-Xisuma, co-commander of a division of the Dark Order, is sent on this quest

-With him are Zedaph(A sorcerer who was brought from a small town to join the team for said quest), Grian(A Dark Order knight plagued by the Nightmare Tyrant), Keralis(A very persuasive and flirty knight of the Dark Order)

-Bdubs, a small dwarf knight, tries to convince his commander, Xisuma, to let him go too. He wants to prove himself after a terrible uprising with a bad father and deceased mother. He is a dwarf with something to prove <3

-Bdubs is denied. But that won't stop him.

-The group's quest is to find and stop/find the Nightmare Tyrant.

-Xisuma decides that in order to do this, they'll need a bit more help

-The team enters a town, Xisuma, hoping that who he is looking for is here.

-They ask around and learn from a man named Impulse(A variously talented craftsman) that there is a man who lives on the outskirts of town by himself. That man arrived a few years before and isolated himself, working as a goblin killer for the town.

-Xisuma asks Impulse to lead them there

-Impulse Joins the Party!

-They walk up on the man(Alex) at his isolated home(A dark order member who left the group due to suspected corruption of the order and Xisuma's brother)

-Alex tries attacking the 5 but Zed casts a protection spell

- Try and convince him to come with them

-It takes a bit but the end deal is "I'll help you just once. But promise me I'll NEVER have to deal with or see you again." "...Deal."

-Alex Joins the Party!

-Alex brings up a person who also used to work for the Dark Order who left around the same time he did. He thinks she'll know about the Tyrant(It is Pearl)

-No one knows where Pearl is exactly but Alex does know of her old assistant. Malus(Aka BadTimes)-The team leaves for Malus's town

-Grian keeps hearing voices(Ren's Voice)

-Once they get there, they learn that Malus had been murdered, the suspected murderer being his brother Scar.

-Scar is being put to death soon(He didn't kill Malus)

-The team thinks that if they can free Scar then he may know where Pearl is, with the hope that Malus would have told him.

-Xisuma manages to get Scar free, the reason being that he would take care of the suspected murderer(authority baby-)

-Scar joins the party!

-Scar tells them that he might know where Pearl is

-They start moving!

-Leaving the town, the group is jumped by a thief(Doc)

-Numbered 1 to 6 and Doc is a literal menace

-Doc is about to win when Bdubs shows up and completely wrecks him(lucky chance)

-Surprise at Bdubs showing up

-Learn the dwarf has been following in order to try and help(he just managed to catch up with them)

-Bdubs Joins the Party! FOR REAL

-Team keeps moving and Doc is kept as a sort of prisoner(not really bc later he becomes more of a team member). Doc is asked to help guide them because he seems to know the area pretty well

-Doc is Forced to join the party!

-Travel shenanigans

-Bdoc banter

-Encounter Pearl finally

-Pearl is happy to see Scar, not so much Alex or Xisuma

-Pearl: "Heyyy Alice! *taunting*" Impulse:"Alice?" Alex: "Don't. Even. start."

-Asking about the Nightmare Tyrant

-Pearl shows what she found, revealing something that the team was not told.

-Learn the gate and host of the Nightmare Tyrant is growing weaker

-Uncomfortable Grian

-Team decides to rest for the night(more pearl shenanigans)

-Grian has terrible nightmares about the Nightmare tyrant, screaming to be let out and trying to coax Grian into getting up and leaving without the others

-Grian almost does, but then gets stopped by Xisuma

-The two talk for a bit, Grian finally telling Xisuma everything about how the Nightmare Tyrant has been torturing him in his dreams.

-Xisuma reassures Grian and stay awake together till morning when the others get up

-Everyone's awake and get ready to journey to the gate thats containing the Nightmare tyrant(Pearl tells them where it is)

-Ask Pearl to join them but she declines

-Journey there is about a day's walk

-Soon they make it and find the gate. It's an incredibly large steel gate that's dug deep into a cliff side. It has a strong energy force around it of red and dark magic(that can be assumed is not supposed to be that strong)

-Grian feels immensely uncomfortable, having the urge to go and open the gate no matter what. Stops himself the best he can

-They look at it for a bit and while doing so, Keralis ends up getting seriously hurt.

-Keralis got way too close to the gate and the magic around it pulled him to it. The second he touched it a huge wave of pain went through him, causing red magic to dig into his arm and damage it very badly(and painfully)

-The team tries their best to help the fallen knight but all decide to make the journey back to Pearl as fast as they can

-Zedaph helps stabilize Keralis as the team hurries back

-Soon they make it and find that Pearl's place has been completely ransacked and destroyed.

-Find Pearl slightly injured but ok

-She explains that a group of knights wearing Dark Order emblems came in and took everything about the Nightmare tyrant they could find and left

-Xisuma is confused and realizes that the other team must have been sent because they weren't fast enough.

-Pearl and Zedaph stay to aid Keralis and everyone else rushes to return to the gate

-Xisuma tells Grian to stay there so he isn't tempted to do anything

-Grian gets mad but ends up staying

-The knights get there and find the other dark order knights.

-Leading them is Xisuma's co-commander. Wels. and he is trying to get the gate open. But he looks different(Hels)

-Xisuma demands to know what he is doing, noticing instantly that his friend and co-commander has changed

-Hels explains that he intends on opening the gate and releasing the Nightmare tyrant. It's been a revenge plan since the Dark order killed his demon mother while he was at a very young age and forced him to live in dark mines because he was half demon.(Wels is the human part, Hels is the demon part.)

-While all that is going on, the voice plagues Grain's mind again(the Nightmare tyrant can tell there are a ton of people close and needs the gate to be opened)

-Its so painful that Grian has to leave and go to the gate just to try to get it to stop.

-Grian soon gets there and sees his friends fighting and feels compelled to help them for a split second.

-Hels learns he can't open the gate.

-Grian can

-Everyone's fighting and distracted while Grian is trying to help but can hear the voice calling to him to open the gate.

-All fighting stops as Xisuma turns to see Grian pulling open the heavy gate. The small knight is screaming as the second he touches it his entire body is infused with red magic and forced to pull the gate open and he can't stop.

-A huge shreek escapes the gate, throwing everyone back

-Xisuma scrambles to his feet, followed by Hels who is overjoyed and laughing like a maniac

-Standing in the clearing with a now open black and red vortex behind it, is a huge werewolf looking man, almost looking ethereal in a way (idk how to describe him). He's semi transparent with these deep red eyes.

-The Nightmare Tyrant has been released.
