The Noble's Town
(Y/N) stood on the roof and stayed frozen in place, completely spellbound by the unbelievable sight that layed out below her once she was completely calm, the sun graciously began to peek up from the branches of the forest that surrounded them making the sight more appealing to her eyes, but it still made her speechless all the same.
The place was bustling with all sorts of signs of life near the center, buildings crowded almost every corner, outlining some strange rocky substance that the humans stayed away from, probably a no go zone she concluded, then the female turned her head to look at the inhabitants themselves, and just like she suspected, they were posh and vain.
Each woman had extravagant dresses and designs that hurt her eyes and her simple mind at the same time, quirking her head to the side when she noticed most of them talking into strange shiny rectangles, weird, (Y/N) furrowed her brows at the sight and just thought that all the makeup they were wearing made them crazy, that or either those guys, once again (Y/N) squinted her eyes to try and understand what she was looking at, each man who came into her vision all had stuffy or fancy clothes that reminded her of stuffed bears, these nobles were strange.
Finally snapping out of her shocked stupor, (Y/N) slapped her head in a panic, the royal meeting was freaking today! And here she was getting distracted by these weirdos, although, just when the (H/C) was about to hop down onto the ground and race towards the marble castle spotted not that far away she froze.
How was she going to get there without being spotted? (Y/N) looked down at her filthy white rags and cursed in such a colorful way, those guys would immediately pick her out like a bone laying amongst the mud if they saw her dressed like this.
Taking in a deep breath, (Y/N) mapped out the situation all in her head, 'okay let's think here, the meeting is in freaking like...what? Three-no two hours? I need to sneak in that shiny castle in the distance since that's obviously where it's gonna happen, which will probably take an hour or so to get to, and that's even if I run like the wind, but the people who are actually awake at this ungodly time would notice me, if these clothes don't first anyway...my first priority is to find a disguise, then find a way to get past all the security once I get there...yosh' she thought.
Once the girl got that out of the way, her eyes darted all around the buildings, looking for an empty looking home she could possibly raid as she ran unnoticed on the roofs, yet when she scanned each home, each and every one of them held shiny objects in the windows with more than a couple of people inside, making her frown seeing indecipherable scribbles over each door, just like the hieroglyphics they used back on the rebel side.
Kidd said that it was because she couldn't read, but she did know how to read, they were just using all the wrong letters in the wrong language, although it was sweet when he tried to comfort her about it by telling her he couldn't exactly read either...
(Y/N) suddenly stopped in her rush and ducked down onto her gut, looking like a sniper waiting for the right moment to strike, which she was in a way, because she finally found a place to rob.
In the building right in front of her, in the front of the building with the weird rocks, she couldn't see anything but a fortified building from the other side, but here where the (H/C) got a sideways glance, there was a window that stretched from the floor to ceiling that covered the whole side showing a dark, shadowy room, and thank all the gods, it was filled with noble clothing of all kinds.
With a giddy smile stuck on her lips, (Y/N) pulled out her grappling hook from her duffel bag and shot it out without thinking, grimacing when the hook loudly crashed through the silent, sleepy air when it came in contact with the glass, but once it stopped on something sturdy she immediately forgot about all of her problems and took a leap of faith off the building.
Landing near the bottom, she hissed at the sensation of her legs whining when they slammed right into the wall on direct impact, but being the unusually strong woman she was, (Y/N) payed them no mind as she walked up the wall all the way back up to the window, only barely being able to avoid scratching herself when she crawled over the sharp shards and edges.
Now finally being in the room, she was at the hardest part of her journey, which one of these stuffy, appalling, and absolutely terrifying pieces of fine clothes did she have to actually wear all the way to the shiny building? And looking around only made her grimace more at her choices.
The first one made her blink in worry and confusion, the whole gown looked as if someone stuffed paper all aroumd it to make it look as if it was made of roses...in (Y/N)'s opinion, it was kinda tacky, pretty in a strange way, but tacky and definitely stuffy.
The second one immediately forced her to do a double take, it was all plain and slim on the top which she liked very much, but then her gaze met the bottom of it, (Y/N) was quick to pause and deflate in disappointment, what kind of woman would like to wear that? One that probably didn't need to walk that's who.
Tearing her eyes off of the explosive monstrosity, the (H/C) pulled a (S/C) arm over her face and groaned while approaching the next one and took her idea back for the first dress, now this one here had to be the most tacky thing ever in history, it looked like it was freaking hit by one of those dangerous flashy things from the sky for Pete's sake.
Shaking her head at the thought of herself in it, (Y/N) strolled past it and didn't even bother to mull over the next one, it wasn't flashy in color, which she liked since it kinda looked old too, but in style it was definitely not something she wanted to succumb to wearing anywhere.
(Y/N) stopped at the next one and felt a bit of apprehension strike her in the gut, every moment she spent here was another one wasted for the castle, but by god she just couldn't bring herself to even think about wearing that shiny blue mess before her.
Bitting her bottom lip, (Y/N) clenched her eyes shut while approaching the last one, praying in her mind that this one would actually speak to her...but when she opened her eyes she practically fell apart.
It was black and rainbow, thankfully it didn't look crazy in poofy volume but it was encrusted in dozens of delicate looking jewels along with a strange veil flowing on the back on it attached to puffy looking sleeves with insane stipes and puffs, (Y/N) was just about to cry in disappointment when a crazy idea popped into her head.
Pausing for a moment, she went to the black dress and grabbed the veil before swiftly ripping it off along with the horrific puffs called sleeves, then the jewelry went soon after as it only took a good rubdown to make them come flying off and sent dancing around the floor, then once her handy work was complete, she slipped on the dress and smiled at herself in the mirror.
