The woman was woken from her deadly slumber by a sudden jolt of pain in her abdomen.

Choking haggardly, her body convulsed automatically when it felt it's air pipe was clogged, and momentarily afterwards, she was spewing a thick trail of blood and mucus.

Cracking one of her (E/C) eyes open with difficulty, she gurgled softly at the dark pit she was seemingly trapped in- with only a few rays of light peeking through stray gaps found in between the boulders caving above her like a dome or cradle.

Willing her body to move, she choked softly when her legs failed to respond, laying helplessly on the ground, feeling just as cold as that of a dead person's.

Was this the end..?

From somewhere she could hear a plethora of voices,most hushed, some upset, and few hysterical- namely two.

My Alphas..

The shouts of desperation grew louder, and as they did, from the rays of light that shined down on her, they suddenly darkened as shadows snuffed the light out.

Though right before she fell back into unconsciousness, a sudden glow engulfed her body in a stellar light, and she drifted off peacefully.

She was running.

That was all she could think right now, even if she tried to think of something else her mind would come up fruitless, she was so driven to get away, so frightened to keep on moving, she couldn't even remember anything else in that moment, not her destination, not her goal, not even her own name was important at this time, all she needed, was to flee.

The beast roared behind her, gaining on her every trip and stumble, red, bloodshot eyes filled with the need for her bloodshed, growling as it's stomach painfully rumbled once again for nourishment, making the beast run even faster for it's next meal, it's ribs showed from under all of the stained fur, but to the small child that only made it more imposing and deadly.

It was so monstrous, so evil, so horrific.

But...

The child- now woman, came to an abrupt stop, standing dully at the mouth of a thorny tunnel.

(Y/N) stared down the hole with a blank expression, appraising it with a different perspective and feeling the old fear begin to waver.

"You know.." turning back to the bloodied and starving hound, she watched as saliva dripped from it's maw, staring her down as if she has become oh so delicious.

It was smaller than she remembered.

Eyes trailing down to her wrists, her fingertips brushed against the rugged laceration scars and curled gently, lovingly tender against her own skin.

"If it weren't for you.. I'd never have met my Alphas.. or even knew about the rebels and the nobles in the first place.." turning back to the hound, she calmly walked towards the gigantic, starved monster and held her arms out wide in a welcoming gesture.

"Thank you.. I'm not going to run away from you anymore.." (Y/N)'s voice was gentle and open, the smile on her face was accepting as she hugged the wolf's foreleg, giving it a brisk hush when it growled.

"Thank you.. and goodbye"

Opening her eyes, the (H/C) was greeted by a tiny black puppy, who in turn gave her a short, happy bark before returning into the shadows of the barren forest.

Jerking back to life in the- what seemed to have been a makeshift tent at first glance, (Y/N) let out a startled groan when her stomach screamed in agony at her reawakening.

"(Y/N)!" Turning to the shout, the (H/C) brightened up at the sight of her favorite redhead and fought against her medical bindings, "Kiddo!"

Happily accepting the hug he dragged her into, this was when the carved up woman analyzed her surroundings with greater detail and blinked the sand from her eyes.

In orderly rows, there were dozens of other people, all big and small alike, laying on separate beds, most attached to some sort of noble medical machinery, while few were luckily only bound by bandages and casts.

She was abruptly brought out of her curious observations by a lighthearted swipe to the back of her head, "the fuck're you doing?! Do ya know how pissed scared I was when you dropped with that dingle-dongle?!"

(Y/N) refrained from bursting in laughter- not to be polite of course, just to keep herself from starting anymore pain from resurfacing, "you- you mean, the bell..?"

Catching onto the humor in her voice, the rebel flushed a deep red and huffed angrily, "sh-shut up! I knew that!"

Allowing a short giggle to pass, the hellraiser watched the larger man fume silently before palming his chest absentmindedly.

This, stirred the redhead from his angry thoughts, causing him to stiffen under the sudden affection as the female rubbed his shoulders fondly, "(Y-Y/N).." he was shocked into a stupor when (Y/N) suddenly dragged him closer to her.

Paralyzed by the obviously romantic intentions being sent his way, Kidd squeaked when his lips were gently greeted by hers.

The kiss was innocent and simple, only giving the man a few seconds to bask in it's warmth before (Y/N) reclined backwards and snuggled into her bed with a smirk.

"Thank you Alpha.." Kidd jerked at the title and blushed bashfully, "y-yeah.." turning his head shyly to avoid eye contact, Kidd looked at everything in the room but his long time love interest.

"What happened?" (Y/N) pouted at the people around her, only now noticing that everyone were wearing clothes similar to the style Law would fashion her with, nowhere in sight were ragged slip-ons or extravagant goofy monstrosities.

In fact, she couldn't even tell who in the room were nobles and who were rebels.

"Ah.." understanding her confusion, Kidd leaned back and scratched his head, causing his bangs to scatter and slightly droop, "some major changes were made while ya were sleeping.."

A small poke of nervousness crept into the girl's heart, "how long was I out?" She asked anxiously.

Kidd waved her off with a shake of his arm, "few hours- around half'a day" she relaxed at that, sighing in relief.

"Where is Law?"

Kidd suddenly jerked and his eyes flew open, as if he just remembered something important- which he did, as he clutched onto his scalp and shouted, (Y/N) cringed and hoped he didn't wake anyone else up.

"I forgot! We gotta get going!" Hoisting the girl from her bed without even thinking about her health first, the redhead rushed out of the tent- which looked larger than (Y/N) thought on the outside, with her jiggling in his grip, only slightly in pain as her bandages scuffled.

As her eyes adapted to the sudden burst of sunlight, and widened when she was greeted to miles of miles of debris, buildings reduced to smolders, and articles scattered throughout the entire valley- the destruction stretched right to the line of trees in the distance.

"Wow.." being left spellbound by the sudden clearness in the valley, the woman was carried to a large crowd of what seemed to have been everyone else left in the demolished rubble, rebel and noble alike, only just like in the tent, none wore any discriminatory clothing that shouted out which faction they belonged to.

There was a single monument standing, which she recognized as the few crumbling remnants of the royal's pristine castle- destroyed save for the single stained glass window with a depiction of a crown.

(Y/N) was set down just as a familiar raven stood in front of the monument, frowning down at the crowd with a heavy, tired frown.

"Everyone here has been at each other's throats for too long.." few people shuffled in guilt, and the woman blinked back at Kidd in confusion, only for the teen to gesture back to the other with a brisk huff.

"Royals.. Nobles.. Rebels.. Hellraisers.. these labels have been dominating us to the point it became all we ever were" watching as Penguin and Shachi came from behind the boy with a long sword, (Y/N) raised her brows as Law proceeded to grab it, and swing it directly into the last stained window- shattering the crown.

Now looking to everyone with a firm expression, (Y/N) felt an energy stir amongst the sombre crowd, "no more factions! From this moment on we're all together!" 

Both (Y/N) and Kidd were startled with the fervor that swept across the crowd, provoking a deafening roar as the spirits rose over the ashes of the two fallen kingdoms.

"Wow.." (Y/N) rushed over to her raven alpha, only seeing his silver eyes flash with recognition before she was able to hook him into a kiss.

"Law.. you've done such a great job" pulling away just in time to see his cheeks bleed a deep red, both were disrupted by the jealous whines of the hatted duo, Kidd cuddled her closely to his chest as both teens ragged on the older man with a tired look.

"Law.." giving the alpha a pouted look, the lean male gave his friends a strained look, as if he was begging for a moment and they actually complied, hesitantly leaving with some heated glares, ensuring to let the other know they weren't done with him.

"(Y/N).." returning to the woman's side, he gave her hands a gentle squeeze, smiling like a weight was lifted from him, "you're finally awake.."

The (H/C) just shrugged with a grin, "yeah, I just got up.. what's happening?" Law blinked at the question before pulling away, a jaded gleam over his eyes as he rubbed his shoulders stiffly.

"Oh, you know, just working my ass off with leading everyone peacefully.. somehow I was wrangled into becoming the guy in charge- for now at least"

(Y/N) frowned in worry, and was about to comfort him when a high pitched squeak sounded, soon followed by a pair of running feet.

"Law!" Suddenly the other was torn away and crushed in his mother's tight embrace, soon followed by his father- but the man accidentally tripped as he was running, and this ended in both his wife and his son following him to his trip to the ground.

Both (Y/N) and Kidd watched in an awkward spell as the family fought to untangle each other, have an idle chat, and argue all at once, though soon it turned out fine as both parents were apparently super proud with their son.

"Our baby boy is leading the new age of history! Roci this is monumental!" The blonde soon noticed the other people present and grinned toothily.

"Oh and (Y/N)! And you must be Kidd!" Lunging out to hug the two of them, she kissed both of their cheeks, leaving a slight shade of lipstick behind.

"It's good to see you up (Y/N).." Nodding at the gigantic man, (Y/N) refrained from hissing in pain, considering the hug was squeezing all the wrong places and she didn't want to make the older woman worry over her anymore.

As Chloe continued to embrace the two kids, she took this opportunity to analyze them and pout when she caught more bandages than she liked to see, a stray eye looked to her son, and she was greeted with a disappointed expression.

Oh..

Brightening up at the look, she stepped away from the two quickly and blushed, "oh well it looks like me and Roci should get going now!" Unfortunately, before her husband could put a word in, he was already being forcefully dragged away, much to everyone's disbelief.

Once Chloe gave them all a passionate thumbs up, the woman lugged her husband away and out of sight, leaving the teens alone again.

"Uh, sorry about that.." Law shyly turned away, remembering the kiss he was greeted with and flushed.

"It's okay.." (Y/N) stared at her two boys for a moment, turning back to the landscape of rubble and stood there, soaking everything in.

"What now?" Neither man knew how to respond, not quite knowing what to do with all the responsibility thrusted upon them either.

"Well, I guess I'll have to do what I can as a makeshift leader to keep the peace for awhile.." Law strode up to (Y/N)'s side, giving her arm a comforting rub- though if it was meant to comfort her or him neither knew.

"Yeah, and the old man has been ridin' my ass on taking his place as chief lately.." taking up the other side of the woman, Kidd shoved his nose into the air, sneering at the sky as he took the woman's hand in his, nobody dared to mention the red burning his face.

(Y/N) stayed silent, giving the forest one more breathless stare before pursing her lips to the ground, "do.. do you two want any help with that?"

Both men answered quickly, without any hesitance in their voices, "absolutely"
