Deandra Serano

I just landed back in Paris and I decided to stop by the office to grab some files before going back to my apartment. It's already late but I still need that file. I went up by myself and turned on the lights of my office floor.

As I was just checking my files, my phone rang and it's Kai again. He's been calling me non-stop today. I deleted his name from my contact but I know his number.

After grabbing my files and my laptop, I turned off all the lights and went down. I walked out from the building and took out my phone to call my driver to come to the lobby. Before I could call my driver, Kai called again.

I was about to press red, "Is it so hard to talk?" I was so shocked that my phone and my files went straight to the floor. I turned to see Kai walking towards me from the dark and his eyes were not happy at all. He was holding his phone to his ear and he put it back to his pocket.

I was still in shock to see him here in Paris and in my office. How did he even manage to get in?

"I wonder why.. you've been ignoring my calls.. my messages and even running away from me? It's been 3 weeks 4 hours and 13 minutes since you left the hotel.. with Alice." He said it in a cold tone as he walked closer to me. 

"Then you proceed to come to my office building, waiting at the lobby.. and saw me with Grace. Is that why you're running away? Is that why you're not answering my call?" He asked as he stood in front of me towering me with his height. I looked at him completely not liking the way he tries to corner me.

"You don't even bother to ask? To slap me? To punch me?" He asked as he leaned closer to me.

"That was your last chance, Kai. I don't want to waste my time to ask or to slap or to punch you. I rather just go back and find someone else to fuck. It's not like the world stops." I said it in a sarcastic tone and he raised his eyebrows.

"Ah.. you already find someone else?"

"What? Do you think that I will cry for you? That's so stupid." I chuckled sarcasticly and he was not having it. I could see that his eyes darkened and he took a step back.

"I guess Deandra Serano loves to assume things now. I thought someone like you loves to be logical." He said and I grabbed my phone along with my files from the ground.

"I don't have time to hear your bullshits. Find someone else to fuck and just never comeback." I said as I glared at him. I walked past him.

"So you really don't want to hear me out?" He asked and I turned to him. Before I could answer him, he walked towards me again.

"For someone like you, you really can't tell that Alice and Grace were hand in hand to make you leave." What? I looked at him straight into his eyes but I don't want to show it to him that I just got fooled by Alice and Grace. I can't even believe Kai too.

"I know you don't trust me with that but you should try to think about it. Pushing me away will never give you answers." He said but my ego got the best of me.

"You've lost your chance, just go back to New York and find other woman." I glared at him so hard.

"Did I tell you that I really like you? I'm pretty sure we're on a same page, Deandra, or else why would you slam Alice to the ground after she's trying to kiss me." He said confidently and he's not wrong but I will not going to admit that.

"So you really don't want to talk to me about this? Don't make me use the hard way."

"No." I said and Kai smirked.

"Do you forget that I'm a part of ILLICIT? I could kill you." I said and he raised his eyebrows.

"I'm not scared of ILLICIT at all. You can put a gun to my head but that doesn't change that I'm obsessed with you. I know you feel the same way and it's either you and me settle this one nicely.. or I have to do it my way to get you in on this." He said in a possessive tone and I was taken back by it because I never thought he would be someone who can say things like this.

This is my first time to see someone who is brave enough to go against me. He even said it without flinching or even break our eye contact. He was serious and I knew that.

"Just a reminder.. we both can't make each other jealous because someone will get hurt. I know you're not seeing someone, Deandra. You can't fool me and if you do.. you really should becareful. I never showed you my jealous side yet." He said as he stood in front of me. He leaned his face closer to mine.

He crashed his lips to mine and kissed me slowly. I was completely frozen like an idiot. I missed his touch so much that I just gave in.

"So are we going to talk or not? I don't mind talking in bed while naked." He smirked as he pulled away.

"Yeah you can dream, Kai. You and I are not going to talk anymore. Go back to New York and never come back again, I'm over you." I said as I dialed my driver's number and put my phone to my ear.

"I'm at the lobby."

"I guess.. we're going to the hard way then." He smirked.

"Yeah, keep trying. Good luck, Kai." I said in a sarcastic tone and pretty much mocking him into thinking that I would talk to him again.

"Very well."
