VIVIETTE AND REMI sat together in the library, while Queenie was in her Arithmancy class. They sat in a mutual silence, both doing their potions essay assigned the period before, the silence broken only when asking each other a question about the subject matter. They both looked up from their essays, however, when a great crash was heard in the back of the library, and a raucous laughter immediately followed. The two girls rolled their eyes simultaneously. "Hey, Viviette!" Viviette stopped writing mid-sentence, and Remi turned around to see who was calling for her, even though Viviette already knew too well who it was. Viviette lifted her head to find Sirius Black and all of his friends walking towards their table. "You're in a library, ass-munch." Viviette whisper-yelled. "Right, my bad. Hey, Viviette!" He whispered back.

"I swear to Helga, if I had laser eyes there would be a giant hole right in the middle of your head, but unfortunately, not all wishes come true." Viviette held her head in her hands. "Good one." Remi smiled, sarcastically.

Sirius ignored her comment and walked over to the shelf beside her, picking out a random book and looking through it. "You know," he started, "I've been reading up on some of the most important dates in history," he sat on the table that Remi and Viviette were writing on, nearly knocking over both of their ink pots, and continued, "and I was wondering if you would like to go on one with me?" Both girls could hear Sirius' friends snickering behind them, and Viviette covered her face with her hands to hide the tiny smile that formed from how stupid of a line that was. "I hate you and everything you stand for, so... I think there's your answer."

"Perfect, how about I pick you up around eight?" He smirked. Viviette stood up and gathered all of her things, motioning for Remi to do the same. She rolled her eyes, but started to pack her things as well. Once the two of them were almost out of the library, Sirius yelled "That wasn't a no!" Viviette turned around and shushed him.

"Are we gonna have to leave every time he asks you out?" Remi whines, once the two of them were in the hallway. "Probably." Viviette sighed, adjusting the books in her arms. "Can't you just say yes and get it over with?"

"Absolutely not. Sorry."

Viviette sat, intensely taking notes while Professor Sprout, her favorite teacher and also the head of her house, went on and on about Venomous Tentacula. Which apparently was one of the most dangerous plants they were dealing with that year. Viviette was the only one out of her friends who made it into N.E.W.T. level Herbology, and if she were to tell the truth (which she always did) she had no idea how Sirius Black managed to get into the class as well.

Viviette, minding her own business, felt something soft hit the back of her head, and heard the soft patter of that thing falling onto the floor. She resisted the urge to turn around and face the thrower of what she found out to be a tiny wad of paper, as she assumed it was Sirius. She twisted her head side to side, cracking her neck, and pretended as though she didn't notice that anything hit her at all. She thought that Sirius had given up, as nothing else was thrown at her for a couple of minutes, or that maybe it was an accident, but she was proven wrong when an even bigger wad hit her head and fell to the floor. She heard someone clear their throat behind her, and without thinking, she looked.

Sirius was stood, with his arms crossed and a huge smirk on his face, pretending to pay attention to what the professor was saying. With a sigh, Viviette leaned down and picked up the bigger wad of paper and unfolded it. There was an incredibly detailed drawing of an eye, and next to it the words 'want to go out with you.' Eye 'want to go out with you.' She took another second marveling at the eye, then drew in a little arrow with the word 'don't' attached to it, folded it up neatly, and asked the person behind her to hand it to him. She watched him unfold it, and watched his infuriating smile rise as he read what she added. He looked up at her, and she sharply turned her head back around, hoping to Helga that he hadn't seen her looking at him.

"What'll it be ladies? I'm in the baking kind of mood." Queenie announced to Remi and Viviette as all three of them entered the kitchens. "Depends on what you want to bake. How about cookies?" Remi suggested, taking a seat at the small island in the middle. "I wonder why cookies are called cookies even
though you don't cook them." Viviette wondered out-loud, pulling at her fingers. "What are you nervous about?" Queenie asked, gesturing to Viviette's hands and then grabbing various ingredients that Viviette didn't even know existed. "I don't know. I didn't even realize I was doing that." She separated her hands and put them under her thighs. Remi put a hand on Viviette's shoulder and squeezed it.

"Do you think cookies will make you feel better?" Asked Queenie, smirking. "I'm a stereotypical Hufflepuff, Queenie. Cookies will always make me feel better." Viviette smirked in return.

"What a surprise!" Came a voice that Viviette and her friends didn't want to hear. "Viv, you know I support you and everything you do, but we can't leave this time. We can't." Remi whispered, as the three girls eyed down Sirius Black and they rest of his friends that they hadn't bothered to remember the names of. "There's cookies this time." She whined, her bottom lip actually quivering. "I'd like to take back my previous statement," Viviette began, turning back around to face Remi and Queenie. She pointed harshly at the boys that were standing by the entrance of the kitchen. "They are the one thing that cookies can't fix."

"I think that's the strangest insult I've ever heard. Can we have some of those when you're done making them?" One of the boys asked, folding his arms. "Sure." Queenie responded, lightly shrugging. "What?" Viviette nearly shrieked. "I second that," Remi pointed to dumbfounded friend. "Oh, come on, don't tell me your not at least a little interested. Plus, I make a mean sugar cookie." Queenie whispered to Remi, looking back and forth between Viviette and the person she hated most.

"Face it Viv, you're stuck with us!" Sirius exclaimed, sitting on the island in front of her. "If you ever call me Viv again... I probably won't do anything, but pretend like I said something threatening, please."

"Right, sure, anything for you, Viv."
