Part 8

Arabella's POV

iMessage

Me: Where are you guys sitting?

Tom: Turn around

Me: There's no one there and now I look like some lost puppy.

Mackenzie :usual place.

Adley: Come quick!

Me: Why, what's wrong

Adley: Nothing :)

I walked into the middle of the cafeteria slowly, until I spot them. I walk up to the table but obviously had to trip over something. If you fall aren't you supposed to hit the floor.

I realize that instead of my hands steadying me on the floor, they're steadied on someone, who just so happens to be Harry.

I just can't seem to not embarrass myself in front of him. Please. Help. Me.

"Thank you." I say softly looking at him, moving my hair behind my ear, standing up straight.

"You should be more careful love." He says giving me that smile that he knows all too well is perfect.

I think it's a good time to mention love is definitely the best thing a guy could call me. My heart just squeezes and I get a million butterflies in my stomach. Anyone else?

"I'm sorry." I say blushing, I just don't seem to know when it's enough when it comes to embarrassing myself.

"It's alright, I'd catch you anytime." He says smirking, our gaze locked only to be interrupted by a clearing throat, which obviously belonged to the one and only Chloe.

I turn to look at her to see her looking quite pissed off, most probably because Harry is talking to the one girl who she despises for no reason. Suddenly I look down to see her leg is pushed out into the pathway, where she had obviously tripped me on purpose.

She just smirked evilly at me and turned back around to bring her foot in, while forcing Harry to sit next to her. I just silently give him a small smile and walk towards my friends.

I sit down and look up to see them all staring at me, waiting for me to say something.

"Hi?" I question their stares.

"Harry Styles?" Mackenzie asks smirking.

"What about him?" I asked, not sure where she's getting at.

"Since when do you speak to him?" Adley asks laughing.

"He just so happened to be there to catch me after Chloe tripped me." I told them what honestly happened.

"Yeah but that wasn't the first time you spoke." Tom said quietly looking down. Why did he look upset?

"What do you mean?" Adley said looking at him, then at me waiting for an explanation.

"Arabella Mae Mendes, how could you not tell us that you spoke to one of the hottest guys in the entire school." Mackenzie exaggerates, causing Tom to roll his eyes.

"He's still my brother, not some god." He says, still irritated for some reason.

"Well while at the party, you guys were caught up in your own world and drinking, I needed a lift home." I start telling them, their eyes grew wider starting to catch on. Tom knew because he asked how I got home safe and I told him.

"I went to ask Shawn and he said he didn't drive there and Harry offered me a lift." I say simply. There's nothing more to it.

"Someone's got an admirer." Adley wiggles her eyebrows.

"It was literally just a lift, don't overthink any of it." I say shaking my head at them.

"Yeah sure, you want us to think that you having a human interaction with a boy that's not Tom, your brother or dad is not a big deal? Of course it's a big deal." Mackenzie says.

"I'll catch up with you guys later." Tom says walking away.

"Okay and then?" Adley asks

"Well I mean he just dropped me home, he also gave me his jacket and told me to keep it because it gives him another reason to see me again." I say slightly blushing.

"No ways." Mackenzie says, "that's not nothing."

I turn my gaze for a split second to Harry, only to meet icy eyes of Chloe, while she full on makes out with Harry while smirking at me. I immediately look down.

"I told you guys it was nothing." I say to the girls, referring to Harry already having his tongue down Chloe's throat in the middle of the cafeteria.

After a million questions and me trying to avoid every one of them, soon lunch ended and the rest of the day flew past quickly.

"Tom wait up." I say as I catch him walking away from his locker. "What's wrong Tom."

"Nothing's wrong." He tries to make out that he wasn't upset or whatever he was feeling.

"I know you and I can tell that you're upset. You know you can talk to me, we're best friends." I tell him looking into his sad eyes.

"It's stupid, let's just leave. Do you need a lift to ballet today?" He dismisses my previous question.

"Not so loud please. I don't want anyone to know." I say to him, but still nod accepting his lift.

I decide not to push him, he'll tell me in his own time. Whom I kidding, I'll get him to tell me in the car.

Chloe's POV
Lunch

"I'll catch ya later." Harry said to Shawn as he walks towards our lunch table. Finally, I've been waiting for ages. The bell rang 5 minutes ago, what takes him so long.

In the meantime, I turn to see Arabella walking from the entrance of the cafeteria to her weird friends, looking like a lost idiot. Shame poor thing.

As she comes closer to our table, I stretch my leg out to the side, catching her just in time to make her trip and fall over, however there was no sound of her falling.

I turn my smirked gaze away from my girls to the side to see Arabella all over Harry.

Who does she think she is, that's my boyfriend. I roll my eyes and clear my throat to catch Harry's attention, making sure to leave my foot out, making it known to Arabella who she's messing with.

Once her eyes follow my foot to the floor, she meets my smirk and drops her head low. He is mine. Why is he still looking at her, I'm right here.

I call Harry to come sit next to me, ignoring Arabella. As soon as he sits I lean into him trying to give him a kiss.

"Why'd you trip her Chloe." He asks leaning away from my kiss.

"I didn't babe, I'd never! I was just buckling my shoe because it came undone." I say. He doesn't really seem to think I was lying and as I lean in, making sure to lock eyes with Arabella kissing Harry while he responds back morning softly, I smirk at his reaction while Arabella looks down immediately.

"I'll see you later." I say, getting up from our lunch table, squeezing Harry's arm and walking away to my locker where I heard two people having a conversation.

"I know you, and I can tell you're upset. You know you can talk to me, we're best friends." I hear Arabella say to Harry's brother.

"It's stupid, let's just leave. Do you need a lift to ballet today?" He asks her.

"Not so loud please. I don't want anyone to know."

I mean I do ballet but she's probably some nobody who can't really dance.

Why is she hiding the fact that she's a ballerina, if you could even call someone like her that.

The day went by very slowly, maths was by far the worst and I huff, walking to my locker to put all my books away.

Toms POV

Bella and I get into the car silently. I know it's immature but I can't help it. I'm not going to tell her because it's not her problem, well I mean it kind of is but I can live with it if it makes her happy.

"Tom." Arabella says looking at me.

"Bella." I say back.

"Tom." She says sterner and I know she's trying to get an explanation out of me.

"I'm okay Bella, just slightly under the weather, that's all." I say hoping she'll just accept that as my reason.

"Okay then." She says softly and for the rest of the drive, it remains silent, the only noise that could be heard was the radio playing in the background.

I arrive at her studio and pull outside the entrance.

"Are you staying?" She asks once she's out the car, leaning onto the door.

"Maybe next week." I say smiling at her. "Enjoy class." Was all I said before locking the car and driving off.
