Jack ran away from his house and towards Nate's. He then turned a corner and saw Nate being beaten up by some annoying bullies.

Nate was slammed against a wall.
"Why don't you punch me if you want to prove me wrong?" The bully said. Nate grabbed the bully's arm.
"Why would I do that?" He questioned, "I won't stoop so low."
"Say that again!" The bully exclaimed.
"You're beating me up because you know I'm right and you can't prove me wrong." Nate said. The bullies were surprised.
"Doesn't that mean you've admitted that you're wrong?" Nate said.
"Enough with your crappy arguments!" The bully exclaimed, lifting his fist to punch Nate but was interrupted by a shout.
"STOP!!" Jack shouted as he ran towards them.
"It's Jack." A bully said, "what a moron he's back again." All three bullies balled up their fists.
"Does he want to get his ass handed to him?"
"We'll teach him a lesson." They said.
Then they noticed something.
"M-Mark's with him!" One shouted.
"Shit! Run!" Another shouted and the bullies retreated.
     Jack ran over to Nate then looked at the bullies.
"Hey, they ran away after seeing me!" He said.
"No, they ran away after seeing Mark.." Nate said as he tried to stand up, "Ow.."
"Hey, you okay, Nate?" Jack asked, offering to help him up. Nate looked at his hand for a moment then clenched his eyes shut.
"I can stand up by myself.." Nate slid himself up the wall, standing successfully.
"Oh, sorry." Jack said.
"Come on," Mark said, "let's go to the river and relax. I think we could all use it."

"I usually tend to miss out on the cool stuff," Nate said, "for once I wanna be around when something exciting happens, you know?" Jack nodded when suddenly an orange bolt of lightning pierced the sky outside the wall. A big cloud of smoke appeared and the large face of a skinless Titan loomed over the town.
"Me and my stupid mouth-" Nate started.
     The colossal Titan lifted its leg then kicked a hole in the wall, sending people and rocks flying and making a new entrance for Titans to enter the town.
