The Titan attack on Trost District caused heavy military casualties in part because the elite Scout Regiment was not there. That morning, the Scout Regiment had set out on a mission beyond the wall.

     "Here they come! It's the main Scout Regiment!" "Commander Erwin! Please kick some Titan butt!" You heard people say. "Look! It's Top Sergeant Levi! I hear he has the strength of an entire brigade!" You heard the guy say in front of you. "Aw, shut up..." Levi said while looking at the people. He then saw you and his eyes widen. 'S-She's beautiful!' Levi thought to himself but just looked straight ahead so he won't get distracted. 'Pull yourself together. She's just another cadet! A very beautiful one.' Levi thought to himself. Hanji looked at him and smiled. "You got a crush on someone already?" She said to him. He didn't say anything and just glared at her. "Heh, I'm just teasing you. Also that envy in everyone's eyes will probably go away once they learn your a clean freak." Hanji said to Levi. He didn't say anything but looked forward.

     The Scouts then made it to the wall and waited for it to open. "Titans are out there. I wonder what kind we'll meet this time! Wouldn't it be awesome if we came across a unique variant?" Hanji said with sparkles in her eyes. "There's one of those right here." Levi said to her. "Huh?! Where?!" Hanji said looking around for the Titan. Levi then got closer to her and grabbed her hair to make her look at him. "Right here." Levi said to her. "Forward!" The Scouts were told.

Surveying the areas beyond the walls and establishing bases of forward operations are the duties of the Scout Regiment, the best and the brightest of humankind. The resourcefulness of these individuals greatly increased their survival rate. But even then, expeditions into Titan territory resulted in over 30 percent casualties. That was the enormous difference between humankind and the Titans.

     "You wait and see. One day, humankind will destroy you..." He said while still getting chewed by the Titan. "Humans will be the last ones standing!" He yelled out, then stabbed the Titan with his blade, into its cheek. The Titan looked at the cheek where he stabbed him and bit down harder. "He'll kill you bastards! Top Sergeant Levi will...!" He yelled out. Then Levi launched himself at the Titan and killed it in one hit. The Titan fell down with the guy still in its mouth.

     "One to the right...Two to the left." Levi said to himself. "Sarge! I called for reinforcements." Petra said to him. "Petra, tend to the soldiers below. The rest of you assist with the Titan to the right. I'll take care of the ones on the left." Levi informed his team. "Sarge!" Petra yelled out to him. Levi then rushed himself to kill the two Titans on the left.

With Hanji~

     The two soldiers moved out of the way when a Titan launched itself at them. "Watch out!" One of them yelled out.

     "Yahoo!" Hanji yelled out while going towards the Titan the two guys were fighting, landing on the roof in front of the Titan. "It's okay..." Hanji said while looking at it with her arms wide open lie she was gonna give it a hug. "This isn't going to hurt." She said to it. The Titan then raised its hand and tried to grab her but she easily dodged it in time. "Nice try! Now it's my turn! Oh yeah!" Hanji said killing the Titan, an landing on the ground with some blood on her cape. "Now that didn't hurt, did it?" She said as she landed.

With Levi~

     "A pair, eh?" Levi said, landing on the roof, and walking towards the two Titans he said he was gonna handle. "You guys sure are ugly." Levi said while using the gear to move around it when it tried to eat him. When Levi was in the air he twirled down to the Titan's back neck killing it instantly.

     He then jumped from the tower he was headed and got in the air once again and threw his blades at the other Titan's eyes. The Titan put its hands on its eyes while screaming in pain. Levi then landed on its head. "Hey, keep still... How am I supposed to lop off... a clean slice of you?" Levi said while getting out his new blades. He then jumped up in the air and twirled down at the Titan's neck, killing it.

     Levi then landed on the roof, he looked down at his blade seeing it covered in the Titan's blood. "Yuck... Gross." Levi said cleaning the blood from his blade.

     Levi then got down from the roof and walked towards where Petra was. He saw she was trying to stop the guy from bleeding too much. "Sarge... I can't stop the bleeding." Petra said with a shaken voice.

     "Sergeant..." The guy said. Levi then walked towards him and bend down to him. "What is it?" Levi asked. "Did...Did I help mankind?" He asked while breathing weakly. "Am I going to die without being of any service?" He asked while holding his hand up and with tears in his eyes. Levi didn't say anything at first and grabbed his hand. "You served well. And from now on... your commitment will give me strength. I promise you. I will destroy every last Titan without fail!" Levi said to him.

     "Sarge...He's gone..." Petra said sadly, looking away with tears in her eyes. Levi was shocked and looked at him, then back at Petra. "Do you think he heard me until the end?" Levi asked. Petra looked up at Levi with her tears streaming down her face. "Yes, I'm sure he did. Look at him...He looks peaceful in death." She said to Levi. "That's good." Levi said while getting up.

     "Levi!" Erwin called out. "We're pulling back!" Erwin said. "Huh?" Petra said confused at what Erwin said. "Pulling back? But we haven't advanced as far as we can go. You're going to let my men die in vain?" Levi said to Erwin. "The Titans have begun heading north as a group." Erwin replied. "What?!" Petra said shocked at Erwin's response. "It's a repeat of five years ago. Something's wrong in town. The wall may have been destroyed." Erwin said.

Back At The Town~

     'Damn...' Eren thought to himself while seeing Armin and (Y/N) reaching out for him, also screaming in shock. Eren reached out to, but the Titan bit down already and caused his arm to break off.

Inside The Titan's Stomach~

     Eren looked around seeing nothing but red. He then looked down and saw a lot of people's dead bodies. Eren was shocked and scared at seeing this. He screamed and looked all around him seeing lifeless bodies just floating around the big pool of blood. "It... It wasn't supposed to be like this. We're different from five years ago. We trained as hard as we could...We thought as hard as we could... About how to win against these bastards...' Eren thought to himself while remembering the people who trained hard to get to where they are now. 'About how to keep them from taking us...' Eren thought to himself while imagining Armin's and (Y/N)'s expression of seeing him getting eaten alive.

     "I'm burning...It's so hot..." Eren heard a women saying and turning around to look at her. "Help me...Mother...Mother..." She kept repeating. Eren thought about his own mother.

Small Flashback~

     Carla was hanging up sheets and little Eren popped out making a cute face at her. She smiled and laughed. Eren smiled at her.

End Of Flashback~

     'Mother...Mother...' Eren thought to himself. "Help me..." The women said while she was sinking down into the blood. Eren just looked at her. 'Why does this happen? Why must they take from us...? Our lives.' Eren remembered his mom's death. 'Our dreams.' He then remembered when Armin was talking to him about the outside world. "Why...?!" Eren said to himself while crying. "Damn, damn, dammit! I'm not giving up!" Eren said while raising his bitten off arm up. "I'm gonna wipe them out... Every last one of 'em! I will! I swear it!" Eren yelled out.

Outside Of The Titan~

     The Titan felt something coming out and it was Eren's hand. The Titan then fell down and Eren was breaking out of the Titan from its back. That caused an explosion, blood, and lots of smoke to come out.

     Eren roared and it caused another Titan but smaller then him to go towards him. Eren looked over at the small Titan and he stomped his way towards it. 'I'm gonna wipe 'em out...from this world.' Eren thought to himself. The Titan then launched itself at Eren and Eren just punched it, causing it to fall down with a broken jaw. 'Every last one of 'em!' Eren thought to himself.

     He then kept stomping at the Titan's body 'Another...More... I'm gonna kill more! I wanna kill!' Eren thought to himself as he stopped stomping on the Titan's body. 'More... much more...!'

Back To Reality~

     "I'll kill 'em." Eren said, causing Armin to make a shocked face.

     "Eren?" Armin said to him. Eren then opened his eyes more and looked up, he then gasped in shock to see a bunch of soldiers surrounding him, Armin, Mikasa, and (Y/N).

    "Eren!" Mikasa said turning her head around to look at him. "Eren, thank God you're awake!" You said to him. "Eren! Can you move your body? Can you think straight? Tell them everything you know. I'm sure they'll understand!" Armin said to Eren. "Armin?!" Eren said. "Did you hear that? He wants to kill..." "Yeah, I heard him. He wants to eat us alive..." Eren heard them talking. 'What're they talking about? Are those swords pointed at us? Those weapons are for killing Titans...! Why are they looking at me like that? What's going on?!' Eren thought to himself, confused.

At The Interior Of Wall Rose~

     "The Cadets will be fully armed and stand by!" The commander said. "Anyway, we managed to get gas and make it out of Trost District." Connie explained. "Is that what happened? Forgive me. I tried to volunteer many times to assist the Quartermasters, but..." Christa trailed off. "After all we went through to get that gas..." Ymir said. "Does that mean... the people who aren't here now are all...?" Christa trailed off, worried at what Connie's response is gonna be. "Yeah." Connie said sadly. Both Ymir and Christa were shocked at this. "Even Mikasa?" Ymir asked. "N-No. I thought Mikasa arrived later with Jean and the others. "Jean, don't tell me Mikasa was hurt?" Ymir asked him. Jean didn't say anything to her. "Hey, what the hell happened?" Connie asked. Jean just drank his water and scoffed, he then answered them. "We were ordered to maintain secrecy. I can't tell you." Jean explained. "Ordered to maintain secrecy?" Connie said. "What's that about?" Ymir asked. "Not that we could keep it a secret for long. All of humankind will know soon enough. If, that is, human beings are still around..." Jean said.

On Top Of The Wall~

     "A defensive wall comprised of Titans... That's quite an idea the Tech Unit came up with. But we can't let our guard down. This is the front line of humankind's battle with the Titans. Our backs are against the wall." Hannes said looking down at the Titans that are trying to get inside the walls. He then looked at the cadet next to him looking a bit worried. "What's the matter?" Hannes asked him. "It's nothing that interferes with our duties, but I'm worried about our comrades serving in the vanguard. Earlier, a messenger came back to HQ looking awfully pale." He said to him. "Well, just concentrate on intercepting the Titans. That's what we trained for." Hannes answered. "I understand that the four children you escaped with five years ago are training as cadets. Are they in the vanguard, as well?" The Cadet said to Hannes. "Yeah..." Hannes replied.  "Oh, I'm sorry for talking too much." The Cadet said. "They're ok." Hannes said. The cadet was surprised at his sudden action. "They're strong children. They each have survival skills. One possesses high-level fighting skills. Two posses indomitable spirit, one bigger then the other. And one possesses a brilliant mind. They're okay. They're still alive. I'm sure of it.

Back To Eren~

     "Cadets Yeager, Ackermann, Arlelt, and (L/N)! Your actions constitute treason! I'm conducting an inquiry to decide what to do with you!" The commander yelled out to them. "Huh?!" Eren said still confused at the situation right now. "If you don't tell the truth, or if you move from that spot, we will fire the cannon without hesitation!" The commander informed them. "Huh?!" Eren said looking at the cannons that are aimed for them.

     "Answer directly! What exactly are you?! Are you human? Or Titan?" The commander said to Eren.

     'What kind of question is that? Why's everyone looking at me that way? Like I'm some kind of monster. Is that what they think I am?!' Eren thoughtto himself while seeing the face expressions of different people.

     "I don't understand your question!" Eren yelled out. "He's feigning ignorance?! You monster! I dare you to say that again! We'll blow you to smithereens! We won't give you a chance to show your true form!" The commander yelled out to Eren. "True form?!" Eren said confused.

     "There are many witnesses! They saw you appear from inside a Titan! We allowed an unknown creature like you to pass through Wall Rose! You may be cadets of His Majesty's forces, but eliminating any risk swiftly is the appropriate action! I am not wrong! The Armored Titan that destroyed Wall Maria could appear at any time! Humankind is on the brink of extinction! So do you see?! We cannot spare the soldiers, or the time, to deal with you! I will fire a shell into you without hesitation!" He yelled out then pointing at them.

     "Their defiant attitude is clear to see. And it doesn't seem like we'll get useful information from them. As you say, it's a waste of soldiers and time." Rico said.

     "Captain! It would be easy to kill them now! If we blow him to bits while still pretending to be human..." The soldier trailed off.

     "My special talent...is slicing off flesh. If need be. I'd be happy to display that talent. If anyone wants a taste of my special skill, step forward now." Mikasa said getting ready to fight whoever wants to hurt Eren.

     "What?!" The commander said surprised. "Captain... Mikasa Ackermann served with our Elite Troops, protecting the rear. Her contribution equals that of a hundred ordinary soldiers. Losing her would be a huge loss for humankind." The Cadet informed him.

     "Hey Mikasa, Armin, (Y/N)... What the hell's going on here?" Eren asked. Armin then stood up quickly. "Mikasa! What good will fighting other humans do?! Where are we going to hide inside these walls?" Armin asked. "I will take on anyone to keep Eren from being killed. I don't need any other reason." Mikasa said. "Talk with them!" Armin said. "Yes Mikasa, please! No one understands the situation! That's why fear is spreading like an epidemic!" You said to her. "I thought you were gonna keep your promise (Y/N). Right now it seems like your not keeping your word anymore. Were you lying to me this whole time?" Mikasa said looking at you with dark eyes. "N-No, Mikasa. It's just now isn't really the best time to try to protect Eren. We need to reason with them. Remind them that we're all still human!" You said to Mikasa.

     'Am I the only one who thinks I'm not a Titan?!' Eren asked himself. 'Damn! I don't have any memory of how I got this way... I feel weak, and can't stand up... And if I say something, they might kill us... Killed by humans? That's so absurd! So how did this all start? I came out of a Titan's body? What the hell are they talking about? What kind of nonsense is that?! Wasn't that all just a dream?'

     Eren then looked at his arm. 'If that's the case, then... This part, where my sleeve is gone...is where my arm grew back?! That makes me just like a Titan!' Eren thought to himself as he looked at his well arm. 'That can't be... Why am I...? Why me?' Eren asked himself.

     "I'm going to ask you once more! What exactly are you?!" The commander yelled out. (Y/N), Mikasa, and Armin looked back at Eren.

     'No matter what, I can't give the wrong answer. Or I won't be the only one who dies.' Eren then thought of you guys as kids. 'That's right. I am...aren't always was, just like you!' Eren thought to himself. "I'm a human being!" Eren yelled out.

     Everyone was silent at first, then the commander spoke up. "I see... Don't hate me." The commander said while slowly raising his hand up.

     'Wait, what?!' You thought to yourself shocked at the commander's actions.

     "I'm have no choice. Since no one can prove... that you aren't evil." The commander said as his hand raised all the way up.

     "Eren! (Y/N)! Armin! Escape upwards!" Mikasa said. She dropped her swords and grabbed your wrist. "Don't!" Eren said. Mikasa ignored him and carried him over her shoulder. Eren then saw the key his dad gave him was still around his neck.

Small Flashbacks~

     "Eren. When I get back, I'll show you the basement that I've kept secret all this time." Eren's dad said lifting up hehe key to him before he left.

     "Don't ever let go of this key. And every time you look at it, remember... Remember that one day, you must go to the basement." He said to Eren.

     "This injection will block your memory from this point on. That's why explaining things now won't do any good." He said looking at Eren with tears coming down his eyes. "Listen to me. Retake Wall Maria and make your way to the basement! This key's power will be useful at that time. Their memories will teach you how to use this." He said about to inject the serum into him. "Eren!" He yelled out.

End Of Flashbacks~

     Eren then escaped from Mikasa's grasp and grabbed her and your's wrists and running towards Armin. "One day, when you make it to the basement, you'll learn the truth. It will be a painful and difficult path, but you must be sure to get there!" Eren's dad said to Eren. The commander then gave the signal to release fire. "If you want to save Mikasa, Armin, (Y/N), and the others... you must control the power that this possesses!" Eren's dad said. Eren then grabbed on to all three of you in a protective manner. He bit down on his hand.

     Eren then transformed himself to quick version of his Titan self and stopped the cannon ball from hitting any of you. It caused a loud explosion and made everyone around and in town to hear the big explosion.

     "Now they've done it..." The commander said. When the smoke cleared off more, everyone saw something unbelievable. "That's..." The commander trailed off. Everyone seeing that it was a half Titan with you, Mikasa, and Armin in the ribcage. Everyone was screaming in horror of what they see.
