Erwin: FIRE!!

You listened as the cannons were firing and the sound of flesh being pierced. The anchors lock the titan in place and Levi jumped off his horse to head back and assist in capturing the human inside.

You and the rest of the squad were riding away from the area where the female had been captured. You still had a shaky feeling about this whole thing, and was on edge about who was inside the titan. Eren was looking back while moving forward.

Eren: An Aberrant? Or is it like the colossal? Did commander Erwin..

Oluo: Hey, snap out of it!

Petra: Eren, think later. We need to get farther in and stand by!

Eren: Right!

While they were still grouped together, you and your sister were behind them a little ways.

Y/N: What do you think of this whole situation? Capturing this "Female" titan.

Sarah: I don't know, it's a huge mess, all those lives lost to this titan. They better give us what we want, or all this is for nothing.

Y/N: It's a complete shit show, and it's because of me and Eren. What do they want? The armored, colossal, and this female, what are they after by destroying the walls and attacking humanity?

Sarah: I don't know, but we're going to find out once they pull that person out.

You and Sarah looked back at the titan and you saw them firing more and more anchors into it relentlessly.

Y/N: Must be to guarantee her capture, completely restrain her while Levi slices away at her.

Sarah: Yeah, maybe, we might be hearing the cannon fire for a while.

Eld: Hey! You two! Keep up, lets go!

You and Sarah caught up with the rest of the squad, and soon found an area to tie down the horses and hide in the trees. The sound of cannon fire filled the forest, and seemed to be endless.

Third Person POV:

The Scouts continue to fire away at the female titan, preventing it from escaping. The ones who are stationed along the perimeter of the forest could hear it from deep inside, and were wondering what they were doing, why were they there? What's going on? Jean and Armin were together trying to figure out what the current situation was, and just moved from a titan who was climbing the tree that they were just on, leaving it there to be stuck looking at them.

Jean: They've started to figure it out, they seem to be getting better and better at climbing.

Armin: That means, scary as it sounds, they can learn. Although, some are better than others, I'm sure.

Jean: Armin...sounds like something's going on deeper in the forest. I think I have some idea what. They lured the Female Titan all the way here in order to capture it. More precisely...to capture whoever is inside of it. That was Commander Erwin's goal.

Back with you:

You were all resting on top of a tree, you were sat next to your sister while everyone else was spread out.

Eren: That was his plan from the very start! Right? I can see why he wouldn't have told the new troops, but why wouldn't he tell you when you've all been with the Survey Corps for a long time?

Oluo: Shut up!

Petra: Are you saying the commander and the captain don't trust us?

Y/N: You all better watch your tones before I get angry.

Oluo: Your not the one in charge, Eld is.

Y/N: I'll kill him if that's what it takes to make you all shut up, now watch the way you talk from now on.

You glared at Petra, and she looked away with a saddened.

Eren: That's what this means...

Eld: Eren's right. I think there was a reason why the commander couldn't trust us.

Gunther: Like what?

Y/N: There's only one reason why he wouldn't trust his fellow soldiers. There's someone who can become a titan, or a spy helping them, in the Survey Corps.

Back with Jean and Armin:

Jean: You think so, too, right? It has to be one of us.

Armin: Yeah, I think so.

They watched as the titan climbing was at eye level across from them.

Jean: A spy?

Back with you:

Gunther: Is that possible?

Eld: At any rate, the commander is certain. I'd imagine the only soldiers who were told of the plan were those who've stayed alive for the past five years.

Gunther: I see...so that's it.

Oluo: Must be. Understand Eren? That's why.

Petra: Yeah, if that's the reason, I understand. He's assuming that five years ago, when the first wall fell, a spy infiltrated our ranks, and that's how he narrowed down the possibilities.

Eld: Then, the spy killed Sawney and Bean?

Petra: Back then, the commander asked me about that.

Eren: That's what the question meant?

Eld: If we could've answered it, maybe we could've participated in this plan. I doubt anyone could've back then, though.

Oluo: I knew, but I didn't say anything do you know why?

Sarah: Why?

Oluo: What, you can't tell? Well, I shouldn't expect that much from the likes of you. You have yet to reach my level.

You whispered to your sister.

Y/N: Can I please rip his tongue out?

Sarah: As much as I want you to, unfortunately no.

Y/N: Not even cut a piece off?

Sarah: No Y/N, not yet at least.

Y/N: Fine.

Sarah: Ohh, I forgot, here.

She handed you a necklace that had the wings of freedom on it.

Sarah: This is what Sarah asked me to give you, her father was apparently a scout as well.

You looked at it and put it around your neck and held onto the wings.

Y/N: I miss her, I need to find her right after we're done.

You held it close and closed your eyes, starting to think of Sarah while the others continued their conversation.

Petra: Hey, are you copying Captain Levi again?  The Captain wouldn't say anything like that.

Eld: Do you think the commander was wrong?

Back with Jean and Armin:   

Jean: I can't say he was right. If we'd known there was a titan informed of our operations, we would've dealt with this in a different way. Your team's squad leader and the other would've too.

Armin: No, it wasn't wrong.

Jean: What wasn't wrong? How many do you think died for no reason?

Armin: Jean, after the fact, it's easy to say, " We should've done something else." However, no one knows how things will turn out. And even so, you have to make a choice. You must. The lives of a hundred fellow soldiers or the lives of all the humans in the walls. The commander made his choice. He chose to let those hundred die.

Back with you:

Eld: Eren, you don't know it yet, but you will soon. The reason that Erwin Smith is entrusted with humanity's hope, the Survey Corps.

Petra: Just look at how much Captain Levi trust him!

Oluo: If you live that long...

Back with Armin and Jean:

Armin: I haven't lived that long, but I'm certain of one thing. If there's anyone who can bring change, it will be someone willing to sacrifice what they care for. It will be someone who can throw aside their humanity in order to defeat monsters. Someone who can't sacrifice anything, can't ever change anything.

With Erwin and Levi:

Ewrin: FIRE!

The last of the cannons were fired, ensuring the titan couldn't move a single inch.

Hanji: How do you like that? You won't even be able to scratch an itch now. You won't be able to make a single move probably for the rest of your life. They're designed so that the more you heal your wounds, the more immobilized your joints become. Hehehehehehe~ But they still can't draw out whoever is inside? What are Levi and Mike doing?

Levi and Mike attempt to strike and cut off the hands protecting the nape, but they harden and protect her from the attack.

Erwin's thoughts: It can selectively harden its skin to protect specific body parts? It's similar to what I've heard of the armored titan. If we continue using maneuver gear and blades, will it weaken?...we don't have time to find out. In that case.

He called upon one of the scouts.

Scout: Yes, sir?

Erwin: Prepare the explosives, blow its hands off. 

Scout: Yes, sir....but there's a chance that the amount we carry has enough fire power to also blow up what's inside.

Erwin: Then set them to amputate the wrists. Set them all off at once at my signal.

Scout: Roger.

They began to ready the explosives while Levi was standing on top of the titans head.

Levi: Hey...why not just come out? We don't have time to waste. So...what do you think will happen to you now? Do you believe you can escape? I wish you'd consider all the trouble were going through...As I recall, you killed my troops in various ways. Did you find it fun? Right now, I'm having fun. Well, so are you, right? I think you can understand me. Oh, right...I wanted to ask you something. Is it okay if we cut off your hands and legs? They'll grow back, right? I'm talking your  limbs, not the titan's. We need you alive after all...

The Female slightly jerked it's head, and opened it's mouth. It let out a spine shivering scream that would put fear into the strongest of men, and it filled the entire forest, and went on. Scouts everywhere heard the screams of the female, making everyone cover their ears. After a few more moments, it stopped.

Levi: Well, that was a surprise.

Moblit: Were those her dying screams?

Mike landed on the branch Erwin was standing on.

Mike: Erwin, it stinks.

Erwin: What direction?

Mike: Multiple sources, from all directions at once.

In the forest, all the titans inside and outside began to sprint towards the center, where the female was captured, the perimeter titans ignored all of the scouts and began to run, multiple titans coming in from all directions. The first three titans began to come into view, Erwin began to make haste.

Erwin: Ready those explosives, now!

Mike: Erwin...the first wave will come from the east. They're almost here.

Erwin: Cart Guard team, intercept! 

They went to intercept, but titans ran right past them.

Scout: They ignored us!? Are they aberrants!?

Scout 2: Three are breaking through!

Scout 3: Captain Levi!

Levi was stomping on the head of the female in irritation.

Levi: You just did something, didn't you, bitch?

He leaped towards the three, killing them in seconds, then a smaller titan appeared at the females legs and began to eat her.

Erwin thoughts: So they're after the Female Titan?

Soon, multiple titans, too many to count began to surround the female, hoards after hoards began to swarm her, ignoring all the scouts, and were ready to devour the female.

Scout 2: Titans from all directions!

Erwin: All men, engage. Defend the Female Titan, even if it means your lives!

It was an all out blood bath, titan after titan would fall, but the female was completely engulfed and surrounded by them, and they began to devour her, chunk after chunk would fly off of her, limbs being torn apart. The napes and blood of titans flying all over the place, scouts engaging in the all out titan massacre in an attempt to defend the female, but it was futile, she was being consumed, and soon, reduced to just bone and skeleton, steam filled the air, making it difficult to see anything. Erwin watch the entire thing unfold, until finally, he had enough.

Erwin: Retreat, men! Back into formation! Return to Karanes!

The scout watched as all their efforts were being eaten away right in front of them, tired, and exhausted from battle, they all sat and watched as the operation failed.

Erwin: We've been had.

Levi: Just look at you, don't tell me...

Erwin: The enemy was willing to sacrifice everything.  didn't expect the enemy to destroy itself along with the evidence.

Levi: All our talk at the court martial, and this is what happens. If we return empty-handed, who knows what will happen to Eren, Y/N or us.

Erwin: We can think about that after we return. Our priority nowis getting home without additional casualties. For now...

Erwin's thoughts: The steam from the corpse is limiting visibility.It could interfere with our signal flare message relay system.

Levi: I'll call my team.

Erwin: Wait, Levi...Refill your gas and blades.

Levi: There isn't time, I think I have plenty. Why?

Erwin: That's an order. Follow it.

Levi: Roger, Erwin. I trust your decision.

Third Person POV:

A blue signal flare was shot into the air, and soon, other blue flares were shot into the air as well, signaling to withdraw and get back into the formation. Some were confused at how fast it was over, it had been only a day, and they were heading back already, while few were glad.

Back to you:

Gunther: Looks like it's over. Back to the horses, prepare to retreat!

Oluo: You heard the man, lets go see what the bastard inside looks like.

You all began to get ready and checked your equipment to make sure you had enough fuel and that it was working properly.

Eren: Will we really find out who it is?

Petra: It's thanks to you and Y/N.

Eren: I didn't really do anything.

Y/N: I didn't do shit.

Petra: You had faith in us. This is the result of your choice to trust us back then. Making the right choice isn't easy.

Oluo: Hey, don't spoil him Petra...what did he do, anyway? He was pathetic, he just kept whining. Well, coming back alive on your first excursion is pretty good. But it doesn't count until the mission's  over. Listen kiddo, the expedition lasts until you're at home in bed...

Eren: Jeez, I know that!

You all took off using your gear, and Eld turned around to look at you guys.

Eld: Oluo! Petra! You guys pissed your pants and cried on your first mission. Your all grown up now!

Petra and Oluo looked angered and embarrassed by his comment, you and Sarah snickered hearing this while Eren was shocked.

Petra: Stop saying that! What if he stops respecting me!? Or what if Y/N never accepts me or my-, aghh!!!

Y/N: Your what?

Eren: It's true?

Eld: It sure it. And I didn't, by the way, Eren, Y/N.

Oluo: Idiot! I've killed more of them than you! More of them than you, idiot!

Eld: Kill count isn't all thaty makes a soldier.

Oluo: Shut up, Idiot!

Eren: Petra...does that mean you sprayed it everywhere while mid-air!?

Y/N&Sarah: HAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PFFFTTT!HHAHAHAHHHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

Gunther: Shut up! Do you think your on a picnic?! We're outside the walls! I didn't piss my pants, either, Y/N, Eren.

While riding, you all saw a green smoke flare fired in the air.

Gunther: Oh, I'm sure that's the signal from Captain Levi. We'll rendezvous with the Captain! Cut the chatter til we get back.

He stopped and fired a smoke flare alerting Levi where you all were, but you had a bad feeling about something.

Y/N Thoughts: Why do I have a bad feeling something bad is gonna happen?

With Erwin:

Erwin and the rest of the front center were all on their horses and were making their way out of the forest.

Hanji: Erwin...why did you order Levi to resupply? There's no time to waste.

Erwin: The Female Titan was eaten. But did you see the person inside get eaten? I didn't.

Hanji: You cant mean...

Erwin: Yes...if your original hypothesis was correct, and they can still move to a degree after regaining human form, and if they'd equipped maneuver gear in advance...The one with the Female Titan is wearing our uniform right now.

Back to you:

You all were still flying through the trees, then you saw a scout on your left appear, they had their hood on, and you were getting a bad vibe from this person.

Gunther: Captain Levi? No, it's not! WHO ARE YOU!?

All of a sudden the person turned and went straight for Gunther, you reacted on instinct and got in the way, blocking the blades with your own, and pushing you and the person down, falling to the ground.

Everyone: Y/N!

Y/N: AGH!

You broke away and zipped back up to the rest of them and you all began to move fast.

Gunther: Thanks Y/N.

Y/N: Forget that right now, all of you head back to the horses, I'll hold them off.

Eld: No Y/N! We can't risk it!

Y/N: What are you going to stop me? Levi said we all have to make choices we would regret the least, this is mine.

Petra: Don't you have faith in us?!

Y/N: ...No....I don't.

You turned around and charged back at the person and readied your blades. You and the person clashed and flew back. You and the assailant kept clashing and parrying each other's attacks. You gave one powerful slash which broke both yours and the person's blades, after pulling back, and equipping new blades, you two clashed again. From the corner of your eye you saw Eld coming in for a strike so you stepped in the way and blocked his attack, then kicked him away.

Y/N: I got this! Get Eren and get out of here!

Eld: We're not gonna leave you!

Y/N: DAMN IT IF YOU DON'T LEAVE WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE, GET OUT OF HERE NOW!

You slashed the persons blades sending her a few meters away.

Eren: Y/N! We can do this if we work together! Let us help!

Y/N: You don't get it! We have no clue what she's capable of, I'm the best out of you all, you'll just be in the way!

Oluo: What the hell, you idiot! Your not even close to the best! We're going to kill this bitch, and your going to get cleaning duty forever!

Petra: Y/N! Trust us!

Y/N: I WON'T RISK THE LIVES OF THE PEOPLE I CARE ABOUT, GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!

You charged at the person again, and continued to counter her attacks as she countered yours. Your sister was set up above on a branch, waiting for the perfect moment. She saw an opening and took it, boosting herself downwards towards the person, but she blocked the attack, and slashed your sister's arm, giving her a deep cut.

Sarah: AGHHHHHH!!!!

Y/N: SARAH!!!!

You jumped and caught your sister, and landed on a branch as everyone gathered around you, and the assailant jumped on a nearby branch.

Y/N: Sarah! Ohh god!

You saw as the blood was coming out of the deep wound on her arm. You took off your cloak and wrapped it around the wound.

Sarah: I'll be okay, just won't be able to use my gear for a while.

Y/N: Eld, get her to safety...please...

Eld: Right...

They took off as you turned around enraged at the person for hurting your sister.

Y/N: Get out of here, it's about to get ugly.

Eren: But Y/N we can-

You turned around and glared at him gritting your teeth, steam was coming off of your body.

Y/N: I said leave.

Eren: Guys, lets go.

Petra: But he-

Eren: Petra! You asked us to have faith in you, have faith in him now!

Gunther: Lets go, Y/N can handle this. That's an order.

Petra/Oluo: Roger..

You watched as they all sped away, you watched your sister being carried, you were relieved she was going to be fine, but enraged when she had gotten hurt. You turned your attention back to the assailant, and raised your blades up. Then you saw here cut herself and lightning struck where she stood, and out of the smoke came the female titan, and she gave you the same spine tingling smile. You looked up while it looked down towards you.

Y/N: I'll kill you without my titan, this is for hurting Sarah.

You zipped up at high speeds and began to cut the female titan all over. And soon your intense battle began.

Eren's POV

After we left Y/N to fight off the female, we caught up with Eld who was carrying Sarah.

Eren: How is she?

Sarah: I'm alright, I'll live.

Eld: Why didn't you stay with Y/N?

Gunther: Y/N has it under control, he's holding it off while we get his sister back to safety.

Eren: We made the right choice, Y/N is capable of taking it down, we'll keep going, it's the right thing to do, I finally understand now!

Memory

Levi: I don't know....

I widened my eyes, this is what Levi was talking about...

Levi: I never have. Whether I believe in my own abilities, or in the abilities of the comrades I trust...no one ever knows how it will turn out..

Reality

I turned back terrified, and I was right, when I turned around I saw Y/N being hurled towards and passed us, crashing and going straight through a tree.

Everyone: Y/N!!

We all landed where he was, he was bleeding badly, and had a branch in his side. He was barely breathing, his sister got out of Eld's grasp and ran to Y/N.

Sarah: Y/N! Y/N! WAKE UP PLEASE! Y/N!!

He wasn't responding, in his hand he was holding what looked like a necklace, it had the Wings of Freedom on it.

Petra: Y/N!! Please! Please get up!

I watched as Petra and Sarah were over his body, crying. I felt sad at first, but then, a burning rage engulfed my entire body, I turned around and glared with tears in my eyes towards the Female.

Eren: I will...

Eld, Oluo, and Gunther turned to me.

Eld: Eren?

Eren: I will...

Oluo: Hey, Eren, calm down..

I ran off the branch.

Eren: KILL IT!

I bit down on my hand and felt a surge of energy flow through my body, and lightning struck where I was falling. I opened my eyes and saw I was falling in my titan and I let out a threatening roar that filled the forest as I slid across the ground, the female stared at me and I saw she was really wounded, her arms were cut and just dangling meaning Y/N did a number on her, I was sprinting while screaming at her. I readied a punch and went for an upper cut,  she back stepped and kicked me in the gut making me spit up, but I recovered and punched her away making her crash back into a tree. I took a stance as she stepped in front of me. I was panting from making such sudden attacks, but I didn't care. I moved in and began to try to punch her, but she kept dodging and moving away, when one of my punches got close, it forced her to roll back, and when she got back up, she started to run, and I chased her down. Once she stopped, we we're in a small open area of the forest. I pushed her back, and when I tried punching her, she kept back stepping, but lost balance and fell. She tried to get up, but I got on top of her and pinned her down while raising my fist screaming. 

Eren's thoughts: I made the wrong choice...I wanted to believe in my friend...because of that, he got hurt! 

I sent my punch down, but she moved her head, so I punched the ground so hard my arm broke. I raised it back up, glaring at her.

Eren's thoughts: If I had believed in myself from the start and fought...IF ONLY I HAD KILLED IT FROM THE START!

I sent another punch with my good hand, but she dodged again, making me punch the ground, when I pulled back, I roared in anger as my hand was dangling from its wrist. I was just staring at her, while she stared at me. 

Eren's thoughts: Back then, if I'd turned into a titan...No....If I'd fought, even before that...Captain Levi was there too. We would've won, maybe we could've captured it!

Levi memory: You aren't wrong. If you want to, do it.

Eren's thoughts:....I...I made a choice...and it almost got my best friend killed....it's my fault he's hurt....but despite all that..it's still YOUR FAULT! 

I couldn't speak no matter how hard I tried, so I roared my anger out in her face, making her look away. I pulled away, and felt my hands almost healed.

Eren's thoughts: I'll tear you apart...once my hands heal, I'll rip you apart...tear you TO SHREDS....RIP YOU INTO TINY PIECES....AND EAT YOU! 

Her left eye opened and her arms were healed, she grabbed my arm and pushed out from the position under me, I tried grabbing onto her, but she kicked me away sending me into a tree. But I got back up instantly and when she turned around, she was met with an uppercut, cutting her cheek. I tried to punch again, but she rolled away and I lost balance and rolled the opposite way. She sat up and saw me coming, and when I stomped in front of her it made her fall back down. She looked up as I let out my loudest roar I could while my fist was cocked back ready to punch. As I threw it, she barely dodged it and got back up, I kept pushing, using all my rage to fight, trying to punch her but she kept dodging them, as I tried for a big swing, she ducked under it, hardened her fist and punched me in the jaw, destroying it. But I didn't stop, and scraped my teeth on her arm as I punched her in her arms and sent her high in the air, making her crash against a tree, she struggled to get up, so I charged at her, and she was barely able to run before my knee met the tree.I leaned on the tree catching my breath, and I heard her stop running, I felt my mouth trying to heal, as the steam came out. When I got off the tree I looked towards the titan as she turned around and looked at me. I put my fist up and let out a growl, but when she took her stance....that stance....I was too shocked to see the strike coming, cutting my head in half, and I couldn't see anymore.

Third Person POV

The female Titan had just struck Eren down, and his body sat on the ground while the head rolled away. She approached his body and began to open her mouth farther than it should, breaking strings of flesh. She bit down into the nape and ripped it off, exposing Eren, while in the distance, Mikasa saw her rip it open.

Mikasa: EREN!!!

She zipped passed the tree, but came to a stop when she saw the Female bite down on Eren, and pick him up, placing him in her mouth. She watched in shock and horror as she got up and began to run away into the forest. 

Mikasa: W-Wait...Eren....Don't go....

Her shock expression turned to one of anger, as she went in pursuit of the female.
