Author's Note: I KNOW I KNOW, THIS IS WAY OVERDUE! IM SORRY! Just have alot going on in school and then I got too interested in the RWBY X Titan Shifter Reader book I just finished. But now that it's done, I'm putting much more focus into this book, and this chapter is basically two episodes worth of AOT. 7500 words to make up for not updating this sooner, I hope you enjoy this chapter, now then INTO THE FRAY! Y/N: ADVANCE!

You and the rest of the Survey Corps were riding out of the gates and had to pass through an old village before taking on Erwin's scouting formation. You rode ahead with Levi, your sister was behind you. As you were passing along, you heard loud footsteps on your left, others heard this as well.

Hanji: Ahead to the left! A 10-meter class! I'm very interested in seeing what's inside the stomach....but I'll leave it to the support team!

You watched as two scouts engaged the target to defend the formation, but soon refocused and continued to ride through the village. You heard Sasha let out a small cry of fear, you fell behind and turned her head forward.

Y/N: Stay strong! Leave it to the support team, and keep going!

Squad Leader: Onward! Onward!

While riding throughout the village, you heard Eren talking to Oluo.

Eren: Sir, can they....can my classmates beat the titans?

Oluo: Huh? What have you been doing the past month? Listen brat...the most crucial part of an expedition is in how you avoid fighting titans-

He was cut off by biting down on his tongue.

Y/N Thoughts: It was bound to happen, never talk too much while riding a horse.

You all finally made your way out of the village and into a wide open clearing of the land, Erwin stuck his hand out and ordered to everyone.

Erwin: Go into the long-range scouting formation!

Soon, everyone started to disperse, moving left and right to fill in the formation, you and Levi squad dropped back to the center rear of the formation. It's been a few minutes of riding without problem, but then you heard flares being fired into the sky, you looked right and saw a relay of red flares from the right indicating titans have been spotted. You looked forward and saw a green smoke flare fired to the left, meaning the formation would all shift that direction. In this formation, fighting titans would be unnecessary and keep most of us safe. You've all been riding in the same direction now for quite some time, and it was starting to make you feel uneasy.

Y/N Thoughts: When was the last smoke flare fired? Why hasn't anyone shot? Surely there's still titans around, what's going on?

As if on cue, you saw black smoke rounds being fired into the air, indicating an aberrant is ignoring the nearby humans and continuing into the formation.

Y/N Thoughts: Armin and some of the cadets are there, please be okay.

Armin's POV:

While positioned on the right flank, I saw a black flare shot meaning there was an aberrant in the area, in the tree line I saw Squad Leader Ness, and Sys come out and they were followed by the aberrant. It looked as if it were just speed walking, but fast enough to be at a good speed to keep up with our horses. It's only necessary to fight the aberrant because it ignores the nearby humans and will go into a larger populated spot, in our case the center formation. I looked at Ness and Sys and sw they drew their blades meaning they were going to use their gear, but on flat ground our gear almost never works. They jumped off their horses and sped off towards the titan, Ness cut off the ankle support making it fall, then Sys jumped on top and sliced its nape cleanly.

Armin: You did it, Squad Leader Ness!

As I began to look away, I noticed another titan in the distance, but it looked different, something didn't seem right. When Ness and Sys got on their horses, they turned around and saw it too, it was moving faster than a normal titan.

Ness: Again? What is the right flank recon squad doing?

Sys: If it ignored them, and came this way, it must be another aberrant.

Ness: Ohh fine...Sys, we do it again.

Sys: Right.

Ness: But we've got the worst luck doing this twice in a row...at least I think a fourteen meter class. This one will be tough.

I saw the aberrant speed up all of a sudden, catching up to both of them, the sight petrified me with fear, this was definitely different from an aberrant. I shot a black smoke round while still staring in horror of what that titan was, Ness saw me as well.

Armin: What is that? It's too fast..

Ness: Don't let it reach Arlert! Sys!

Sys: Right!

They both jumped off and attempted to do the same plan again, but instead, the titan grabbed Sys in its hand and crushed him, then grabbed Ness wire and slammed him on the ground, making his body explode blood, and crushed Sys, and tossed his body away. It stopped and I finally got a good look at it, the titan had no skin, blonce hair, and a feminine body type of figure, then it began to run towards me, I turned in the other direction, and I began to think, I don't think this is just an aberrant.

Armin's thoughts: No...No. That's no aberrant. It's intelligent! Like the armored, Colossal, Eren, and Y/N.....a human in the body of a titan!

Armin: B-But who!? Why?! This is bad! What do I do!? I/m going to die to, too. I'll be killed!

I released the second lead I had on the other horse.

Armin: Go! Run!

I saw her step over me, and it felt like time slowed down.

Armin's thoughts: What does it...No, what do they...What do they want?

It stomped in front of me and made my horse jump back and throw me off, I landed in the fetal position and put my hood on. When I tried to get up I struggled and was only able to go on all fours. I heard the female squat down next to me and froze. I was captivated by fear, waiting for the moment when it would grab me and eat me, but instead I felt my hood come off. I looked up to see it staring at me, and it had a terrifying smile as well, that put even more fear in me. Once it was done looking at me, she got up and began to run in a different direction. I was confused and scared and many more kinds of emotions.

Armin: It's not going to kill me? Why? It removed my hood...to...to look at my face?

???: Armin!

I turned around and saw Reiner with another horse.

Armin: Reiner!

Reiner: Hey, can you stand? You won't last outside the walls unless your on horseback, hurry!

Armin: Right!

I got on the horse and we began to chase the female, and slowly caught up.

Reiner: I saw the smoke round signalling an aberrant. Was it that one there with a nice ass?

Armin: That's no aberrant...it's a human in a titan body!

Reiner: What was that!?

Armin: Wait a minute. We need to fire a smoke round first. H-hurry, there's an emergency over there.

I heard a smoke round fired behind me and turned to see Jean behind us.

Reiner: Wait...I think Jean fired it.

We heard more smoke flares being fired and they were yellow.

Reiner: It came from the right flank. Does that mean we're so compromised that we can't continue the mission?

Jean: Looks like the right flank recon squad was partially wiped out...Titans, tons of them. I don't know why, but there are lots of fast ones. For now, we're holding them back, but recon is no longer possible...we've taken heavy losses, and if we aren't careful, we'll be destroyed!

Armin: That Titan came from the same direction. No way...was it leading the titans?

Jean: It? Why is a titan over there? An aberrant?

Armin: No, it's a human in a titan body...someone with the same ability as Eren.

Jean: What?

Reiner: Why do you think that, Armin?

Armin: The Titans only eat us. We're just killed in the process, killing us isn't ever specifically their goal. But when Sys aimed for its weak spot, its crushed him and smashed him into the ground. It killed him to kill, rather than to eat him. Its nature is different from the others. When the Colossal and Armored Titan destroyed the walls, it must've been the one that brought that army of Titans. Their goal has consistently been to attack humanity!

After saying that, something came to mind, something I just realized.

Armin: No, maybe not. It felt like it was looking for someone...if that's the case, could it be looking for...could it be looking for Eren, and Y/N?

Reiner: Eren and Y/N? They're both with Squad Levi, which is in charge of the right flank.

Jean: The right flank? The plans I got had them to the rear of left flank.

Armin: Mine said the were near the front of the right...Wait, there's no way they'd be on the front lines.

Reiner: So where are they?

Armin: Probably the safest place in the formation, which means in the center and towards the rear.

Jean: Armin, there's no time to think. Smoke rounds can't possibly indicate how much of a threat it poses! At this rate, it'll wipe out command. Then the formation will fall apart, and that'll be the end.

Reiner: What are you trying to say?

Jean: In other words, at this range, we may still be able to draw its attention. We may be able to buy time to withdraw. Maybe...maybe...

Armin: But it's really intelligent.To it, were nothing but insignificant insects. It'll just crush us...

Jean: Seriously? That's scary...

Reiner: Hey, are you really Jean? The Jean I know never thinks of anyone but himself.

Jean: Don't be an ass...I just don't want those charred bones I saw to be disappointed in me! I...I know what I have to do now! And this is the job we chose, Help me!

Armin: Put on your hood, as far forward as you can...so that your face is hidden from it. I don't think it will kill us until it knows who we are!

Reiner: Ohh...you believe if it thinks we might be Eren, it won't kill us? If nothing else, it'll make me feel better. Lets just hope it has poor eyesight!

Jean: Armin, I always thought it was creepy how you clung to Eren, but I've always thought you had it in you.

Armin: Uh, thanks. But "creepy" that's really mean...

We drew our blades and caught up behind the titan, and spread ourselves out. I noticed it slowed its pace.

Armin's thoughts: It's going much more slowly than when I first saw it. Is it tired? If it runs at that speed again, we'll be too late! Now's our chance...we have to do it now!

I remembered our plan to distract it for as long as we could, and wait for Jean to cut the Achilles tendon.

Armin's thoughts: It's aware of the weak spot on its neck. It's totally different than other titans...it is impossible to kill. At least not by any normal human being. However...if it's those two, Mikasa, and Levi...Maybe...

I saw Jean ready himself and jump off his horse, but the titan looked back at me and turned, making his wire bounce off her foot. It came down at me and swatted my horse away, sending me flying and throwing off my gear. I felt blood come down from my head and begin to slightly cover my face, it knelt down next to me and looked at me.

Jean: Armin!

Jean hooked his cable to her back, and she turned quickly trying to swat at him but missed, he swung around to her back and shot another anchor into her, but she covered her neck.

Reiner: Jean!

He was caught by her and couldn't get away and it readied her hand for another swipe, but I decided to try something, a wild guess, but maybe...just maybe it would work.

Armin: Jean! Avenge the suicidal bastard!

Her strike stopped and she seemed to have frozen.

Armin: That's the one...That's the one that killed my friend him! He rushed to his death on the right flank! Avenge him! It crushed my friend! I saw his body under its foot!

I saw Reiner jump off his horse and shoot a wire that would take him straight to the nape, attempting to try and kill it while it was distracted, but it saw him and caught him in its hand. I saw it place its thumb and his face and squeeze, blood splattered out, I felt sick to my stomach and my heart dropped. But then, I saw Reiner spiral out of its hand cutting off some fingers and escape, he landed near me and picked me up while running away.

Reiner: We've bought enough time, right?! Lets get the hell away from it! If it isn't a man-eater, it won't follow us!

The titan looked at its hand before running off again, in another direction..towards the center..

Reiner: Look...that big bitch got scared and decided to go home!

Armin's thoughts: No...why? That's towards the center rear, is it, heading for Eren and Y/N?

Timeskip a few hours, Armin's POV:

After running we stopped to rest and so I could get patched up, my gear wasn't looking too bad, but the worst part is we only have one horse. Jean was trying to call back another one, but so far nothing.

Reiner: How's your 3D maneuver gear looking, Armin?

Armin: It's okay...the clasp released as intended, so it seems it's not broken.

Reiner: I see...I'm glad to hear it. But what do we do? We only have one horse. If Jean's horse comes back, the three of us can move, but...

If we only have one horse, it means one of us has to stay, but I wasn't really thinking about that right now, all I could think about was that titan, and the way it acted....the way it looked...it was...familiar...

Reiner: Armin...Hey, Armin! Are you still out of it?

I was snapped out of my thoughts by Reiner.

Armin: Yeah, my head's still a bit fuzzy...

Reiner: I see...But we must decide. It's a hard choice, but someone will have to stay behind.

Armin: Wait! First lets fire a smoke round, if the formation continued straight ahead, the row 4-3 team should be nearby.

Jean pulled out a purple smoke round and shot it into the air.

Jean: That's the signal for an emergency, but I can't imagine they'll understand our intentions just from that.

Reiner: Armin, we can wait another 3 minutes, by then we must decide-

He was cut off by me.

Armin: I'll stay. But there's something I want you to tell them for me, preferably to Commander Erwin alone-

Jean: No, Armin. You should tell him yourself. Looks like someone's here...and with two horses.

We turned to look where he was looking and saw someone coming with two horses.

Jean: That's...Krista!

Krista: Is everyone okay?!

She stopped in front of us and handed the reigns over.

Jean: That's my horse...whoa, whoa, calm down Buchwald.

Krista: He ran towards me terrified...did you engage the titans? Armin, what happened to you?! Are you okay?!

Armin: Yeah, I think so.

Reiner: I can't believe that smoke round brought you here.

Krista: I was nearby, and I already had Jean's horse.

Reiner: Even horses like you, it seems you have a strange charisma. You saved our lives.

Krista: But I'm so glad, that the worst didn't happen to you. I'm really glad.

The sun shined down on her and her eyes and skin seemed to sparkle, her warm smile was too much.

Armin's thoughts: God....

Jean's thoughts: A goddess...

Reiner's thoughts: I want to marry her.

Krista: Well, we should rejoin the formation as soon as possible.

Jean: Yeah, there should be orders to retreat.

We rode off to join back and get into our positions, it's been a while since the attack on the right.

Jean: To think we've been pushed back, less than an hour out of the walls, things are even bleaker than I imagined....and for some reason, it went in the opposite direction of the vanguard command team,...

Krista: It?

We heard smoke rounds fired to our left and saw they were green rounds signaling for the formation to move again.

Jean: A green round?

Armin: Looks like they're continuing the operation, only changing course...

Krista: What? That wasn't a retreat command?

Jean: What is Commander Erwin thinking?

Reiner: In theory, any soldier has the authority to determine when mission completion is no longer possible. Did command not see our smoke round somehow?

Armin: Even if we don't know what's going on, there's still only one things for us to do...Follow the order!

I followed up with another ground smoke round and changed course, along with the others.

Back with you:

Levi: Smoke round. Green, Sarah, you fire it.

Sarah: Roger.

Y/N Thoughts: For now, it all seems fine, but is it really? We could already have casualties on the front lines.

Scout: Reporting! Message to pass along! Right Flank Recon has been destroyed! Our recon system is partially inoperative. Pass this onto the left!

Levi: Did you hear that Petra? Go.

Petra: Yes, Captain.

Petra broke off to inform the left of what's going, but you remembered some people who were stationed on the left and grew worried.

Y/N Thoughts: The Right Flank, Armin's stationed there, but they should still be in position, near the center. Titans couldn't have made it this far in.

You heard smoke rounds and saw three black rounds in the air, very close by.

Eren: A black round? Aberrants?

Levi: Eren, you fire it.

Eren: R-Right!

Levi: What a mess. We let it penetrate deep into our formation.

Y/N:...it?

You looked at Levi unsure and worried by what he meant. Eren shot the smoke round moments after.

Y/N Thoughts: The titans are close, under those rounds, fighting is occurring there.

Third Person POV:

While riding out, scouts had been taking on and fighting the Female Titan in an attempt to slow it down, but all failed miserably, and words had spread throughout the whole formation that the right flank had fallen. People were wondering why the commander wasn't pulling out, why not retreat while they still can and prevent more deaths? While riding out, the formation came closer and closer to a collision point, an area big and crowded, the Forest of Giant Trees. The commander saw the road was clear on the path through the center of the forest, and that it was big enough to get the carts through, he ordered two scouts to relay an order that the center rear carts would be going through, while the others would go around and station themselves in the trees. It's been some time, and not a single titan had appeared yet. The one titan appeared near Armin's position, but in the mean time, the female is on hot pursuit for Eren and Y/N.

Back with you:

You and Levi squad were riding through the center of the forest, and a lot of you had unsure faces about what you all were even doing here. Eren was the most nervous of you all.

Eren: Captain...Captain Levi!

Levi: What?

Eren: Well...we're in the middle of the woods! If the center enters alone, we won't know if titans are approaching! It seems something is approaching us from the right...How are we suppose to dodge the Titans or protect the carts?

Levi: Don't go on and about the obvious, we can't do that anymore of course.

Eren: Th-then why?

Levi: Look around Eren, at all these big-ass trees. It's perfect environment for 3D Maneuver Gear. And try to use that tiny brain of yours if you don't want to die, think.

Eren: Yes sir!

You knew this was something else though, it wasn't just for that, something was coming, and no one knows about. Everyone had unsure faces about all this, why the hell are we in this place, Commander, what are you up to?...Eren soon saw everyone's face, and when he saw you nervous, he felt overwhelmed with nervousness. Something's after you and him, and we have no clue what it is. Then you heard a smoke round fired from behind you and saw a black smoke round.

Eren: A black smoke round?

Eld: It's from directly behind us! It's whatever was coming towards us on the right.

Levi: Draw your blades. If we see it, it'll only be for a second.

You turned around and saw a scout using his maneuver gear, and he was looking back at something, what the hell is behind us? A few moments later a titan appeared and smacked him away like a bug, and began to chase you.

Levi: Go!

It caught up and tried to grab Eren, but it came up short and began to run again.

Y/N: What the hell is that thing!?

Gunther: It's fast!

Eld: In these tree, there's no way to foresee and evade its attacks! It'll catch us!

Sarah: Captain! Let's switch to maneuver gear! Captain!

Scouts: You won't escape!

Petra: Reinforcements from the rear!

You turned around to see two scouts behind the titan. One tried to latch onto it, but it dodged and grabbed his wire and smashed him into a tree. Then it grabbed the other persons wire and pulled it, then crushed him in its hand.

Petra: CAPTAIN, YOUR ORDERS!?

Y/N: MY GOD WHAT IS THAT THING!?

Oluo: Lets go for it! Its dangerous...we should kill it!

Eld: At this rate, it will catch up with us!

Gunther: We kill it here! That's why we came to this forest! Right Captain!?

Eren: Captain! Your orders!?

Levi:...Everyone, cover your ears.

He raised his gun and shot a round that was ear piercing.

Eren: A noise grenade!?

Y/N: AGHHH!!

You flailed from your ears ringing and fell off your horse. It stopped and looked down at you with a creep smile.

Sarah: Y/N!!!

Y/N: GO! I'LL LEAD IT THERE! JUST GO NOW!!!!!!

You jumped and zipped away before it could snag you and the chase began again, them on their horses, you on your gear. It kept trying to catch you, but you were able to keep moving.

Y/N Thoughts: What the hell is this!? Why are we here!? This titan is different, it's not even eating the people it kills, it's just killing! What is that-....no....could it be....a person?...That's it! That's why we're here! To capture it! Someone is in that titan, just like me and Eren, they can transform into a titan. Is this the same for the colossal and armored?... What ever this is, I don't like how many people we're losing just for this.

Levi: What is your job? To just let yourself be swayed by whatever your feeling at the moment?

You whistled and tried calling for your horse, and by surprise it came back next to the group.

Y/N: Awesome!

You landed on your horse and caught up with your sister, riding closely.

Levi: No, it's not. Our squad's job is to keep the brat from getting a single scratch on him, Y/N's the only exception. Even if it cost our lives. We keep going on our horses.

Petra: Roger!

Eren: Keep going? For how long? And it's right on top of us...Again! The reinforcements! If we don't help, they'll be wiped out again!

You saw two more scouts engage the titan, coming from behind it.

Gunther: Eren, eyes on the road!

Eren: Sir!

Eld: Keep your pace up...stay at top speed!

Eren: But, sir...why!? If Levi squad doesn't defeat it, who will!?

The titan smashed another scout into a tree with its hand.

Eren: Another one's dead! And maybe we could've saved him!

The last one was barely keeping up and dodging the grabs.

Y/N Thoughts: Damn, this is a shit show, whatever you have planned better work, or I'm going to kill you and the commander, Levi for sending these people to their deaths.

Eren: One's still fighting...we can still make it!

Petra: Eren, eyes back on the road, keep going!

Eren: Are you telling me to look away!? To abandon my comrades and run!?

Petra: Yes, that's right! Obey the captains orders!

Eren: I don't understand why we're leaving them to die! Or why he won't explain! Why!?

Oluo: That's because the captain decided the reason should not be explained! You just don't understand because your still green! If you get it, then shut up and obey!

You saw Eren put a blade away and look at his hand. Your grabbed his hand and stopped him. He looked at you, but you didn't say anything.

Petra: What are you doing, Eren!? Your only allowed to do that if your life is in danger. You promised us!

He was about to bite down again, but Petra stopped him.

Petra: Eren!

Levi: You aren't wrong. If you want to, do it. I can tell, he's a real monster. And it has nothing to do with his power, no matter what power you use to suppress him, no matter what cage you put him in, he will never submit to anyone. Eren, the difference between your decision and ours is experience. But you don't have to rely on that. Choose. Believe in yourself, or believe in the Survey Corps and me. I don't know...I never have. I can believe in my own abilities, or the companions I trust. But no one ever knows how it will turn out. So choose for yourself which ever decision you'll regret the least.

He looked back at the last scout fighting off the titan, and looked back at his hand and was about to bite again.

Petra: Eren! Have faith!

Y/N Thoughts:...Faith...

Flashback

You were in a room with squad Levi and Hanji discussing on how Eren's titan power would be kept in check.

Levi: I came up with a way that'd only half-kill you.

Eren: Sir?

Levi: I said I'd only be able to stop you as a titan if I killed you. But this method would only badly wound you. Of course it relies on the squad's skill. The idea is to cut you right out of the titans neck, we'd end up cutting the ends of your arms and legs off, but they'd just grow back like lizard's..creepy, really.

Eren: Wait, I don't know how they grow back. Is there some other way...

Levi: So your saying you don't want there to be any danger or sacrifice?

Eren; N-No...

Levi: Then just resolve yourself. We will to...the danger for us is that you might kill us. So don't worry.

Eren: Yes...understood.

Hanji: Th-Then can I do experiments?

Levi: It's very risky. But that doesn't mean we can't use him to investigate.

Hanji: I can be in charge of planning this, right? Eren, if there's something you don't understand, learn to understand it. It's well worth any risk to our lives.

timeskip to outside the base:

You, Eren, Levi, and Hanji all were outside and were about to begin testing.

Hanji: Okay, Y/N, will you go first, seeing as your aware of what your doing in your titan form?

Y/N: Yes, of course.

You went a certain distance away and bit down on your arm. The same flash of lightning appeared and you came out in your titan. You looked down and saw the three staring up at you.

Hanji: Y/N, can you understand me!?

You nodded and it looked like she was going to flip out.

Hanji: OH THIS AMAZING!!!!! A TITAN CAN ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND ME!! AND IT DOESN'T WANNA EAT ME! Y/N, LIFT ME UP PLEASE!

You lowered your hand to the ground and let Hanji climb into your palm. You lifted her up to your face and began to examine you.

Hanji: Wow, up close looks so awesome! Tell me, do you feel this!?

She stabbed your cheek, but you shook your head "No."

Hanji: Hmm, okay, can you speak?

You opened your mouth but all that came out were weird noises and growls. You shook your head again.

Hanji: Hmmm, okay, put me down, then stand on one leg.

You set her down and balanced on one leg. Unfortunately some of your clumsiness was still in you and you fell backwards.

Hanji: Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!

Levi: Tch, what a dumb brat.

You got up again, and Hanji asked one more time.

Hanji: Okay, can you harden your body? I remember hearing that your able to harden parts of your body into some type of metal, can you do that?

You nodded and concentrated on hardening your hands, and moments later, your hands were slowly hardening and turning to metal, you lowered them for her to examine them.

Hanji: Wow, this is truly incredible, alright, that's all I'll need, you can come out now, or do we have to cut you out?

You took a knee and concentrated on exposing your nape, you felt a gust of wind hit your back and steam was all around you, you were able to pull your face out of the muscles and the rest of your limbs and land back to the ground to join back up with them.

Hanji: Good work, alright Eren, since your not too sure on how to control your power, we need you to go in that well, okay?

Eren: R-Right.

You watched as he climbed down and you all looked down at him.

Hanji: Ready, Eren? When it's prepared, I'll use the smoke round to notify you. After that, any decisions are up to you.

Eren: Roger!

Hanji: This dried-up well could hold even a mindless titan...Probably!

Y/N: Did you just say probably?

You all stepped back a few meters and got on your horses, and Hanji fired the smoke round for Eren. You all waited patiently for him, but so far nothing happened, and a few more minutes went by, still nothing.

Hanji: Hmm, did he not see the signal?

Levi: No...His ability just isn't as reliable, not like Y/N's.

You all rode forward and got off your horses to see the problem.

Levi: Hey, Eren! We're calling it quits for now.

You all walked up to the well and looked down.

Hanji: Did something happen?

You all were shocked at the sight, Eren had bite marks all over his hands and they were bleeding badly, blood all around his mouth.

Eren: Hanji...I can't become a titan.

Y/N Thoughts: What? He was able to before, why not now?

You all left and patched Eren up, you and the rest of Levi squad were sitting eating some food, Levi was standing to the side.

Levi: So your self-inflicted bite wounds on your hands aren't healing, either?

He felt around the bandages and responded.

Eren: No.

Levi: If you can't transform into a titan, our main goal of sealing wall Maria will be even more difficult with just Y/N. This is an order...make it happen.

Eren: Yes sir.

Eld: Yeah.

Eren: But...

Oluo: Well, it just means your more human than I thought.

Eld: Better than rushing into something and getting yourself killed, this isn't meaningless.

Gunther: Yeah...we can't be too careful.

You watched as Eren tried to use his spoon, but his hand hurt and made him drop it on the ground.

Y/N: Are you okay?

Eren: Yes...

You watched as Eren tried to grab his spoon, and when he touched it, sparks formed around his hand and his pupils dilated.

Y/N Thoughts: Well...this is gonna hurt.

A small explosion happened that blew you all a few feet away, when you looked up you saw Eren's hand stuck in a titan's arm without the skin on it.

Scout: Hey...what's that?

Scout 2: What was that explosion?

Eren: Why now!?

Levi: Calm down.

Sarah: Guys, relax please.

Eren: Captain Levi! This is...

You looked pass him and saw Oluo, Petra, Gunther, and Eld have their blades drawn towards Eren. You stepped closer to Eren to make sure he wasn't hurt.

Levi: I said calm down, all of you.

Eld: Eren...what's the meaning of this!?

Eren: Sir?

Eld: Why now? Without permission? Answer me!

Levi: Eld, wait.

Oluo: Answer him, Eren! What are you thinking?

Gunther: No, that can wait...prove your not our enemy, humanity's enemy! Prove it now! That is your responsibility!

You watched as they all got closer with their blades, your blood was boiling seeing them act like this.

Y/N Thoughts: This was just an accident you idiot! You take one more step, I'll end you all...I'll show you true fear.

Oluo: I dare you to make a single move with that arm! I'll cut off your head! I can do it...I'm serious! Want to try me!?

Sarah: Oluo, calm down!

Petra: Captain, Sarah, Y/N, get away from Eren! You're too close!

Levi saw your and your fist were clenched, your teeth gritted, your eyes full of anger.

Levi: No, you the ones who should back away. Get back.

Petra: Why!?

Levi: My intuition.

Eld: What's wrong, Eren!? Say something!?

Eren: Like I said...

Oluo: No sudden movements!

Gunther: Prove it to me, Eren!

Eren was freaking out, no knowing what to do.

Eld: Answer us, you think we can't kill you?!

Y/N: You can try to kill him, but you'll have to get passed me, now say one more word any of you and I will obliterate you all for trying to harm Eren.

Oluo: Shut up! I'm serious!

Y/N: That's it then.

You unhooked your equipment and drew your father knife, and placed the blade in your hand ready to cut yourself.

Y/N: You wanna kill him? KILL ME FIRST!

You cut your hand and a huge lightning bolt struck down sending everyone flying away. From the smoke emerged your titan looking down at everyone with anger, you let out a menacing growl and stood in front of Eren. They looked up at you with glares, and Oluo decided to be the one who would attack first, he shot an anchor into you and swung around to your back, you spun around and caught his wire and pulled him towards you. You had him restrained in your hand and he looked like he was going to shit himself.

Oluo: Damn it, let go! Now!

You brought him to your face and roared in his face making him scream and shiver. Your sister zipped up to your face.

Sarah: Y/N, that's enough, I think they get it.

You looked down and saw all the scouts around you were scared to death and turned pale. You put down a terrified Oluo and knelt down and exited your titan. You walked back next to Levi and Sarah to stand in front of Eren.

Y/N: Next time you threaten him, I really will kill you all and devour you like a real titan would.

???: EEEEREEEENNNNN!!!!!!!!

You all turned your heads to see Hanji running with excitement.

Hanji: CAN I TOUCH THAT ARM!? IT'S OKAY, RIGHT? RIGHT!?

She was drooling to touch the arm.

Y/N: God your weird.

Levi: Say something we don't know kid.

Hanji: JUST LET ME TOUCH IT!

Eren: Hanji...wait a second!

She ignored him and touched it anyway. Steam came off the hand when she touched it and she pulled away instantly.

Hanji: It's...hot! Without the skin its really damn hot! Unbelievably hot!

Moblit: Squad Leader! You're too reckless!

Hanji: Hey, don't you feel it's hot, Eren? How does it feel when the right hand is connects? I really wanna see!

You saw Eren look at his hand and start to pull on it trying to separate from the arm.

Eren: Stupid thing!

Oluo: Hey Eren...don't do anything rash!

Y/N: Wanna meet my titan again Oluo!?

He froze in fear hearing you say that. Eren was finally able to get it out, and the arm began to dissolve. Hanji was sad and freaking out.

Hani: WHAT!? WAIT EREN...THAT WAS TOO FAST! I STILL WANTED TO INVESTIGATE SOMETHINGS...

You walked up to Eren with Levi. He was panting and looked to his side.

Eren: Captain..

Levi: How do you feel?

Eren:....Not....Not so good...

Y/N: Come on, lets go Eren.

You slung his arm around you and helped him onto your horse, and made your way back to HQ. You set him in his room and left him to rest. While leaving, down the hall you saw the four from Levi squad heading in your direction, you glared at them and tried to walk the opposite way, but Petra called out to you.

Petra: Y/N, wait!

Y/N: What do you want?

Petra: We're sorry...

You turned around and glared at them again.

Y/N: Sorry? Your sorry for wanting to kill one of my childhood friends? Someone who's practically like my little brother to me, someone I care about, and all you have to say is sorry?

Eld: Listen, we we're shocked and nervous when it happened and we couldn't think straight. We didn't know what to think.

Gunther: Please, forgive our arrogance.

Y/N:...You threaten him again, your all dead. Move out of my way.

Oluo: Hey, we're just trying to-

He was cut off by you hardening your hand and punching the stone wall, cracking it and breaking the bricks.

Y/N: Out. Of. My. Way. That's an order. I am still a Corporal in the military, and you will follow my instruction to the letter. Now MOVE!

They moved cleared the way and looked down ashamed of themselves. You walked by to get some rest, and when you reached your room, you collapsed on the floor.

Y/N Thoughts: Damn, turning into a titan twice like that really takes its toll. I shouldn't do that again unless I have to.

You let sleep take you over, and rested for sometime.

Timeskip to night:

You were in a dining room with Levi and Eren. Eren was still shaken up from what happened today.

Eren: Until I saw that they were actually ready to kill me, I didn't understand...that they doubted me so much.

Levi: Of course they do, that's why I chose them. People say you only truly become a member of the Survey corps after making it back alive after a mission. But whenever you fight the titans, you never have enough information. There are too many situations you just can't anticipate, no matter what. They've had to cultivate the ability to take quick action, and make ruthless decisions by assuming the worst case scenario. But that doesn't mean they've become heartless.It's not like they felt nothing when they turned their swords on you.

Moblit walked into the room to in form Levi.

Noblit: Captain Levi, Hanji would like to see you.

You all walked out and followed Moblit to where Hanji was, you entered another room and Hanji and the rest of squad Levi was there. You glared at them while taking a seat next to your sister, and gave Petra a menacing look which made her look down in shame.

Levi: Take a long crap?

Hanji: Actually, it was pleasantly quick. I wasn't sure what to tell the brass. Well, for now...look at this.

She placed a cloth down that had the spoon that Eren was reaching for inside of it.

Eren: A teaspoon?

Hanji: Yes, the right titan hand Eren created was holding this. Like this between its index finger and thumb. It's hard to imagine that was an accident....and for some reason, the heat and pressure didn't warp the spoon at all. Anything come to mind?

Eren: I was trying to pick it up...I transformed right after.

Hanji: I see...That may explain why you couldn't transform earlier. "Kill The Titans" "Block The Cannon Shell" "Lift The Boulder" In each case, Y/N had a clear goal before transforming.

Y/N: Yeah, it's all I focused on, nothing else. Eren must have thought that as well when he transformed a second time to clear the way for me to seal the hole, he wanted to help me complete the mission and keep me safe.

Hanji: My theory is, that your self-inflicted injury probably isn't the sole trigger. You may need some goal as well, like Y/N does when he transforms.

Y/N: When you asked me to change, it's all that I had focused on, I blocked out any other thoughts or goals or objectives, nothing else was in my mind besides turning into a titan.

Eren: It's true when I turned into a titan this time, it was like when I tired to help Y/N, but...I turned into a titan to pick up a spoon? What the hell is this?

Gunther: In other words, you didn't deliberately change without permission?

Eren: Yes sir.

The four all looked at each other and nodded. After doing so, they raised their hands and bit down on their thumbs.

Hanji: Huh? Eh?

Eren: Wait! What are you doing?

Gunther: That hurt...

Eld: This ins't easy, I'm amazed you can bite through Eren, Y/N.

Gunther: We made the wrong decision. This is a small price to pay. Not that it makes a difference.

Oluo: Keeping you under control is our job, and there's nothing wrong with that. So don't get cocky!

Petra: I'm sorry, Eren...We've been so jumpy, you must be disappointed in our stupidity.

Y/N Thoughts: He probably isn't, but I am.....but I have to admit to, this is a noble thing of them...

Petra: However, even so...we're going to rely on you. And we want you to rely on us.

There was a slight moment of silence, everyone was looking towards Eren.

Petra: So...have faith in us...

End of flashback

You all kept riding from the titan and you looked at everyone hand, they still had the bite marks there as a reminder of that night.

Y/N Thoughts: I promise you all...you won't die out here, and those who have, it will not be in vein.

Levi: Eren! Your taking too long! Decide!

Eren:..I'LL GO FORWARD!

Y/N Thoughts:...good job Eren...

Scout: Help! Let me go!

You kept riding along as you heard the titan smash him into a tree. You gritted your teeth in rage, but kept looking forward.

Y/N Thoughts: I'm sorry....I'm so sorry...

You looked back and saw the titan begin to pick up even more speed.

Eld: Target is accelerating!

Levi: Go! We will outrun it!

You all kept riding along, you knew at this rate, it would catch up and stomp you all to death, but you all chose to go on, even if it meant abandoning your comrades.

Y/N thoughts: Levi has been looking forward the whole time, and all of them believe in him, and put their trust in him. Fine then, I'll believe in you as well, I will follow you as well, Captain Levi!

You looked back and the titan was reaching out trying to grab you, just mere inches away from getting you and Eren. While riding, you passed scouts who were hidden in the sides of the rode and trees, they had anchor launchers that would shoot into the titan and retrain it. You rode as fast as you could.

Y/N: MOVE OUT THE WAY NOW! FASTER!

You all got away as the titan had no time to react, then you heard the order from the one voice you were glad to hear it from.

Erwin: FIIIIRRRREEEE!

You heard the cannons fire multiple wires into the titan, making it stop and cover its nape to protect itself. The firing wouldn't stop, it sounded like it was endless. Finally, after the last shot, everything calmed down, and you looked back to see the titan fully immobilized.

Y/N: They got it!

You all kept riding along down the rode away from the area. Then Levi broke the silence.

Levi: Advance a bit farther, tether the horses, and switch to maneuver gear. You guys will be off on your own for a while. Eld, lead the squad. Once your a good distance away from the titan, hide Eren and Y/N. Take my horse.

He jumped off his horse and made his way back to the titan. You all looked back as he went back to the rest of the scouts.

Eren: He can't intend, to take that titan alive?

Gunther: Well, Eren, you see that? We caught that titan!

Oluo: This is the power of the survey corps! Don't underestimate us, fool! Well, do you get it now!?

He looked forward with smile and new beliefs.

Eren: Yes!

You rode up to your sister and you both were a good distance away from them.

Y/N: This is a mess. Eren almost changing, Scouts dying left and right, whoever is inside that thing, better give us answers.

Sarah: Yeah, it has been crazy, I almost lost you back there.

Y/N: I'm okay, just shaken up is all.

Sarah: When we stop I need to give you something.

Y/N: What is it?

Sarah: It's something from Sarah, she gave it to me to give to you because you were too busy, and no one would let her see you.

Y/N: Yeah, I wanted to see her as well, but with the experiments and work, just couldn't find the time....I miss her.

Sarah: She's doing okay, right now she's staying with a nice family inside of Wall Sina, I've met them and they mean well, and are a very nice family.

Y/N: That's good to know.

Sarah: Well, no point in wasting time, lets ride a bit longer before we tether down.

Y/N: Right.

You kept riding along with the others, but you couldn't get that look of the titans face out of your head.

Y/N: Who's inside that titan?....and why do I have the shaking feeling I know them?....
