"It isn't necessarily nice to be a genius. Geniuses don't understand the feelings of people who aren't able to do something."

'Three...Four...Five men...three more in the alleyway and one on the roof.' Raizel mentally counted, his expression not changing as he sensed the enemy's presence.
'Hmph. Looks like they're not such big idiots. I wonder if my looks really are that special to make these slave traders take caution to make sure that nothing goes wrong in front of there customers.' Raizel thought with a small mental smirk.
He looked around, instantly categorizing each spectator as either a normal bystander or someone he would probably have to take care of.
'There's nineteen...no, twenty-one men that are probably the customers of these guys. Tch, Mother sure had a big reputation.' Despite the easy-going attitude, Raizel felt anything but calm.
More like ready to send these slave-traders back to hell before bringing them back just to kill them again and then doing it all over again, each time with a different torture method.
Raizel's hand moved so it was hidden behind his back before he swiftly flicked his wrist, three throwing knives that he was hiding in his sleeves appeared between his fingers. This wasn't a psychic trick, just swift movement. Anyone could do it with enough practice.
The sapphire-eyed boy's expression did not change when everyone regained sense as his appearance affect started to fade. He mentally noted that my appearances could stun someone for a total of 2 minutes, but only if they never seen him before. He briefly wondered if the time limit would change when he grows older.
Raizel crouched slightly, preparing to attack when the men suddenly grinned with disgusting lust-filled eyes, as if possessed, the slave-traders tried to grab him with perverted smiles and insane eyes.
'Mixture of shock for my appearance and stress from living underground, huh..' Raizel thought with slight horror that because of his looks, such beasts were unleashed. 'Sei and mother were right. I should really hide my face, or at least bring down the looks affect a little.'
Raizel prepared to jump and aim to kill with his knives when the men lunged at him.
.
.
.
He never got the chance.
Raizel's eyes widened in shock as he felt himself being tackled to the ground by the one and only Levi Ackerman.
'What? I thought he left by now.' Raizel thought in surprise as he tried to access the unexpected situation. Knowing Levi's character, surely he wouldn't cared for such a thing as a slave-traders...Well, he does care, he isn't that cruel, but Levi knows better then anyone that to live in the underground, its kill or be killed, everyone for themselves.
Raizel felt his child body being pulled up and into Levi's arms as Humanity's future strongest soldier began to run away from the crowd and heading towards the alleyway.
Through practised breathing, Raizel quickly calmed himself before lightly flicking his wrist once more, concealing the throwing knives back into his sleeve.
He was suppose to be a normal bishonen brat who just lost his mother after all.
'Wait....Mother!' Raizel thought with inner panic as he immediately glanced at the corpse of the woman who raised him for the past five years.
He already failed to kill her himself, the least he could do was at least bury her body properly. Preferably not underground or in a cheap coffin.
'Don't worry, I'll take care of it. Just focus on your situation.' A voice echoed in Raizel's head. 'Sei...' Raizel immediately recognized as he experienced this telepathic communication with his teacher before.
'Then I'll leave it to you.' Raizel communicated back before trying to figure out what to do now. He was still being carried by Levi, who wasn't looking at him just running, Raizel noticed that the future soldier seemed deep in thought, as if he was reacting by instinct alone.
SWOOSH!
PLING!
"Ugh!" Levi let out a grunt of pain, Raizel looking with slight surprise (and a little worry) at Levi's new injury. A knife in his thigh.
Raizel cringed slightly at the injury. His respect and admiration for Levi went up another notch when Levi kept running, though releasing curses every so often.
'Still, if he keeps running with a knife in his thigh, its probably going to be infected with all the germs around here. Not to mention it must hurt like bitch. There's also an alarming amount of blood pouring out. There's not point in running if Levi's going to faint of dizziness because of blood loss, and the blood dripping must have left a trail...'
Raizel ignored the guilt creeping up in his stomach. It was partly his fault after all. But then again, if Levi just left the situation alone like the cold-hearted man he's suppose to be, everything would have turned out....well...not good, its still going to get pretty messy but at least Levi's not injured.
'I can just hear all the curses those crazy Levi fans are sending me...' Raizel sighed.
Well, time to fix this problem that he partly caused.

"Children may be naive, but we can see something you adults can't. Yet almost every child would never realize that they are seeing something different from everyone else..."
"Something different. Something unique."
"What's sad is that its not their choice when to let that ability go. Its the choice of the world which we know as reality."
- Raizel Di Kaliastrine

'Shit...' Levi mentally cursed as his vision blurred.
Levi focused on running, ignoring the pain in his thigh, he wondered just what he was doing.
'This certainly isn't the first time I've come across a situation like this, but I don't do anything. To live in the underground, its killed or be killed. The only person you can trust is yourself....Yet...'
'Why?' Levi cast a quick glance at the brat in his arms, he was oddly quiet, Levi felt no wetness on his body so the brat wasn't crying at least. Unable to twist his body to see the brat's expression, he looked ahead. While he did saw this situation many times, this was the first time he saw it happen to a child. Perhaps that's why?
'Am I getting soft..? Impossible.'
White spots appeared in Levi's vision as everything started spinning. "Damn it.." Levi cursed as his body hit its limit, falling to the ground, blood splashing everywhere from his wound.
THUMP
Levi's eyes widened in shock of the sudden attack to his neck as he fell, vision slowly turning black.
"Your in pain. Sleep for a while. I'll be here when you wake up. Trust me. Those who protect me, I shall protect them the same. That's a promise.." An angelic yet commanding voice whispered in his ear.
Levi looked up and wondered if he already died as he slowly fell unconscious.
The brat's gentle smile sure made it convincing that he was really an angel.

"The heart is a fickle thing. It affects decisions that could change your life forever, yet I don't think anyone who did ever regretted it."
"Do you?"
