~Elias POV~

I was really trying to get to Mikasa and it looked like she wasn't hurt, which was a huge relief. Eren's Titan looked like it he wanted to attack me again, so I jumped out of the way before it hit me.

Mikasa: ELIAS!!!

Mikasa flew towards me, but she moved quickly before she could get hit as I fired my anchor onto Eren's Titan's head so I can talk to him.

Right now, we gotta get his head out of his ass and get him moving. We don't have time for him to dick around!

Ian: Hey! Heinrich! Stand down! Now! Get away from him, that's an order!

Elias: Eren! Listen to me! I know you're in there somewhere. I know you can recognize me! Come on, man! Get your shit together, let's move this thing, and seal the wall the hell up! You're human!

Mikasa: LOOK OUT!!!

I saw his fist coming, but I moved just in time before I could get crushed. However, he hit himself as he went down back first onto the boulder.

I landed back onto the roof with the others as I knew something was off, but I couldn't put my finger on it.

Mitabi: What the hell? You tellin' me the kid was a regular Titan all along?

Mikasa: Eren!

?????: Captain!

We looked to see someone coming towards us as he landed right next to us.

Elite E: We've got two Titans bearing down on us from the front; a 10 meter and a 6 meter.

Elite F: Heads up! There's a 12 meter closing in on us from the rear!

We looked over and there those titans, and I had to say this...

Elias: You gotta be freaking kidding me..

Mitabi: Ian, that's it. Please. Just look at him. We need to get out of here; the plan's a bust.

Rico: Agreed. Full withdrawal. We have to leave him as he is.

Elias: Oh no! We are not gonna leave my brother behind!

Mitabi: Ian! Snap out of it! What are you waiting for?

Waiting for you to shut up, you cunt.

Mitabi: Give the order! Hey, it's not like this is your fault! Come on! Look, this plan was doomed from the start! We all get that. Was it worth a shot? Sure, whatever! We did the best with what we had! But all we got left now is going back over the wall.

Mikasa and I nodded at each other as soon and Mitabi and Rico looked to get back to the Wall, but Ian had to stop us from fighting them.

Ian: Stop! Easy. Now's not the time.

Elias: You're right, it's later on instead.

Ian: Team Rico, take out the 12 meter approaching from behind. Team Mitabi and I will handle the two front runners.

Rico: Are you nuts?!

Ian: In case you've forgotten, I'm the one in charge! Now do as you're ordered, soldier! We are not leaving Jaeger defenseless, period. It's a change of plans. Our job now is to keep the others off him until he can be recovered. Whether we like it or not, he's still our best chance. We're not to abandon him. We're expendable; he isn't. He can't just be replaced.

Rico: Please! Don't talk to me about our last best chance! He's a failure countless soldiers have died because of! Just look at him, Ian! Are you saying you want more of us to die saving that?

Ian: That's right. Down to the last man. If that's what it takes, so be it!

Rico: Ian, you can't be serious!

Ian: What other against the titans do we have? You know something I don't? This is it. This is all we've got, and you damn well know it! I am making a judgement call here. If you have a better plan, speak up! How else are we going to get out from under their feet? I'm all ears here!

Rico: If you're asking me how else we'll defeat the Titans, obviously I have no idea.

Ian: See? That's why we can't afford to beat a retreat. Not just yet. We may not know what else is in there, but there's hope. And as long as that's the case, we're gonna fight to the bitter end. Look at us. Always scraping by. Always on the run. Don't you-- Don't you want it to be over? Don't you wanna make a stand? Well, this is how it's done!

I can really appreciate Ian being aware about the situation in regards to Eren and how this is more important than we realize.

I mean, I weren't a soldier, I'm running until the cows come home, but since I am, we gotta protect Eren and get that boulder in place of the gate that's been destroyed.

And from what I know, this was the first time Rico has seen light and now she probably wishes she saw darkness forever.

Rico: This is just-- This is madness.

Ian: Hey!

Rico: I think you're right. If we're to stand, this is the only way. Just this once. Let's fight a fight that's not just a battle of attrition. Let the bastards taste humanity's wrath. Right. My team will address the 12 meter Titan coming from the rear.

She walked off before Mitabi decided to do the same thing, but on the other side.

Mitabi: Well? We got the two in the front, or don't we?

Ian: Right.

I let Mikasa tend to Eren as I spoke to Ian, lest we stay here for much longer and let Eren stay where he is.

Elias: Thank you, Captain. It's very kind of you.

Ian: No, it wasn't. There's no thanks needed. Fact of the matter is I was petrified of the mess you two were about to get into. But you're free now. Do your thing. Make use of that inborn skill.

He brandished his sword and then said this, catching me off-guard...

Elias: Yes sir.

Ian: And go save your brother with the woman you love.

I turned red as he started running as I was really embarrassed by what he just said, but am I really falling in love with Mikasa after all these years?

I looked at Eren's Titan and it didn't look good.

Elias: What the hell? Why haven't his injuries repaired themselves? Did the earlier damage compromise him? What is this doing to you, Eren? What if you won't be able to change back?

Okay, I'm overthinking and I gotta stop with that right now. We gotta focus on what we gotta do.

I joined up with taking out Titans left, right, up, down, front, back to the moon's ass crack, and just being absolutely merciless on the Titans.

I was doing my own thing like Ian had said while Mikasa was keeping an eye on Eren.

I want to see Eren get back up to his feet and help us plug that freaking hole in the wall with that boulder.

As a precaution, I checked my tubes, making sure that I have enough for a few more hours.

And sure enough, I feared it to be that: I'm halfway empty.

I didn't want to leave the teams because if I do, they'd be a man short.

However, with Ian understanding Mikasa, Armin, and yours truly for some time now, I think he would be okay with me replacing my gas tubes, but the way things are going right now, not the best time, so I'm gonna push through.

Ian: Son of a bitch, behind us!

Elite E: It's a 13 meter! And from the looks of it, he's about to pounce on Jaeger!

Elite F: Heads up! We got four more coming through the gate! All of them 10 meters at least!

Ian: Right. Rear! Ackerman! Heinrich! Yours!

Elias: Yes sir!

Mikasa: Sir!

Ian: Keep it away from him at all costs!

As we ran, I had to tell Mikasa this and I think it's what she's thinking right now.

Elias: Mikasa, from what it seems, elite or not, those two teams can't take on four Titans at once.

We immediately zoomed at a Titan targeting Eren, dodged its attempt at grabbing us, went behind the thing and sliced the nape together, just before it could launch itself onto Eren.

Elias: You wanna kill Eren? You gotta go through us!

We stood on top of the dead Titan's head as we kept looking around, just curious about what's going on.

Mikasa: What's going on? Where are they coming from all of a sudden?

Elias: You're right. There aren't enough of us to attract this many.

Mikasa: Unless they're coming for Eren!

Elias: Looks like we gotta hold them off until we get him back up.

?????: MIKASA! ELIAS!

Then, I saw Armin of all people on the top of Eren.

Armin: Why'd the plan go belly-up? Why on earth is he slumped here like this?

Elias: Get outta there, man! It's too dangerous! Something went wrong. He lost control and wound up like that! I tried getting his head out of his ass, but I could get him to respond.

Mikasa: It's true! He's been out like this for the past few minutes.

Armin: But the plan?

Mikasa: We've had to shift tac. Right now all we can do is protect him. He's defenseless. And there's just so many! We don't know how much longer we can keep this up!

Elias: You think? I'm halfway empty with these goddamn things! This has gotta end sooner than later!

In the corner of my eye, I saw Armin attempting something that I thought I would never see.

He was going to stab Eren in the nape.

Elias: Armin! What the hell are you doing?

Armin: I'm pulling him out of here! You just hold off the other Titans as long as you can. When Eren first emerged from this form, it was from the weak spot!

He then fired cables on each side, but I really hated what he was going to do.

Armin: I dunno, but something tells me that's a big part of the picture. How these damn things work. It'll be alright, as long as I don't hit the center. This won't kill him, but, well, it is going to hurt, a lot.

Just as he stabbed Eren, the Titan was thrashing back and forth as I had to try to tell him to...

Elias: Stop it! You'll get yourself killed!

Armin: I'm fine! Just do what you can to keep the rest at bay! Trust me, there's tons other people you should be worried about! No lw leave Eren to me and go do what you do best!

I then put my sword away, then pulled the piece of concrete out of my shoulder, even though I was wincing in pain, and threw it away from me.

Elias: If this what it takes to get Eren to come back to reality, then we might as well hold these assholes off.

Mikasa: If your father were here, Elias, he'd be very upset!

Elias: I thought you were my father!

We ran off to kill as many Titans as we can find until we found Ian and the others.

Elias: You go to Team Mitabi! I'll go find the others!

Mikasa: Don't get killed!

Elias: No promises!

I flew away as I saw Annie, Connie, and Shitstain, I mean, Jean, running from three Titans and I had to get to them!

Once I fired an anchor into one of their napes, I lunged and sliced all of them out before landing on the roof.

Elias: Stay down, assholes!

Conny: Elias?!

Jean: The hell are you doing here!

Elias: Saw you guys in trouble, thought I might swing by.

Annie: That was good timing, you know!

I saw that a Titan was going to grab Shitstain, but I swung in and took it down in a second.

Elias: If we don't get outta here, we're dead! Come on!

Annie and Conny flew to the walls, but Shitstain's gear wasn't working and a huge-ass Titan was coming our way.

Little did I know, hope was to come.
