Then you already know what really happened. Just focus on the goal that they told you to do. (If you're part of Levi Squad, then you know you have to focus on Eren)

If you're a Garrison or MP: Then you just await for their return. But, Erwin and some scouts trust you, so once they returned they immediately told you the results and next possible move.
