In the days followed by The Rumbling, the humans that survived slowly started on their road to recovery, including the members of the 104th. Now that the Powers of the Titans no longer exist, a life of normalcy can finally begin, but it can't start yet before you finally get closure from Reiner, the man whose had your heart since your training days.

'I just can't believe all this has happened...'  You think as you lie in bed, staring at the ceiling, truly digesting what happened. You're currently inside Mitras, the capital of Eldia, which was formerly inside Wall Sina. You finally find the courage to hop out of bed, heading towards the door, still contemplating what happened a couple days ago and what's going to happen in the future. You open your door to reveal Reiner, standing in front of you with a serious yet nervous look on his face. "Hey, (Y/N)..." he began to trail off, "May I come inside?" You stare at him in disbelief, then quickly nod in agreement without saying a word. "I was just about to go searching for you, Reiner." You say with a dead stare, ushering Reiner inside, closing the door behind you. Reiner just stood there awkwardly, not knowing what to say. "Well, take a seat." You say to him bluntly, trying to cover up your nerves with a stoic attitude. He quickly takes a seat on your bed and you take a seat across from him at your desk chair. An uncomfortable silence quickly takes over the room. Uneasy at the grueling silence, you clear your throat to break the tension. "Reiner, why did you come here?" You say, staring directly into his eyes. He takes a deep sigh and begins, "You've ignored me the entire time we've been working together. We literally fought the Nine Titans and their inheritors and you still haven't paid me any mind, (Y/N). What's going on?" Reiner finishes, slightly pained. You scoff, taken aback at the fact he asked such a question. " 'Whats going on?'  Reiner, you did all the things you've done and you have the gaul to ask that," Reiner sighs then places his head in hands in shame. "You nearly killed me in Shinganshina..." You began to trail off as you look at Reiner, seemingly heartbroken. "And yet I haven't been able to get you out of my mind for the past 4 years." He lifts his head up, his eyes meeting yours with a glint of hope. "You have done atrocious things, things that not even God should forgive you for, but every time I see you my heart skips a beat, Reiner. I think back to our trainee days and how we would sneak out of our cabins and spend the night together on the training grounds talking about any and everything..." You start to trail off again with tears brimming in your eyes as Reiner walks over to you and lifts your head up to look at him. Your eyes meet his and you begin to cry, "It was supposed to be us, Reiner. You convinced yourself that you were doing the right, that you hurt the one you swore you cared about," You took a breath as he pulled you into a deep hug, "Me." Reiner lets go of you and leads you both to the bed to take a seat. "(Y/N)," he said to you while looking into your puffy eyes, "My actions are inexcusable, I don't even deserve to live. You mean absolutely everything to me and it took everything in me just to not bring everything to an end because how I feel about you. (Y/N) (L/N), I'm just as in love with you as I was when we were kids." Reiner looks down, as tears fall onto his pants, "Just please say you'll forgive me?" He says, barely above a whisper. You take hold of his hand and moves his face towards you, "Reiner, how could I not?" The space between you two closes as you share a passionate kiss with each other. As you both pull away, Reiner places his chin onto your head and says, "I'm staying with you till the end of time, (Y/N)."
