"Armin!" You grab onto his jacket sleeve, "Please, you don't have to go! Eren can take care of himself! Just please stay with me!" Armin's eyes softened as he saw your crying face. "(Y/N), you know I have to. I'll come back, I promise you. And when I do come back, we're one step closer to seeing the ocean together." He reassured you. He gave you one last hug, then gave you a kiss. "I love you, (Y/N)." He turned to look at you one last time and flew off towards the wall. "I love you, too, Armin." You looked down to your hand, seeing the ring he gave you, he has one, too. You smiled softly. "Don't worry, (Y/N)," You look up and see Mikasa's hand on your shoulder, "Armin will come back, he may not seem like it but he's the bravest one out of all of us. Now come on, we have to take down Reiner." You smiled at Mikasa's words and followed her pursuit.

Armin made it to the top of Wall Maria where Eren was. "Eren, I have a plan, but you have to promise that you'll do it no matter what, even if one of us dies." Eren nods, his Titan body is still a bit weak, though. Bertholdt stood in front of the two, towering above the wall. "Eren, if I die, please, continue to live life to the fullest, and-" A tear fell from Armin's eye, "Go and see the ocean for me." Eren shook his head, "A-Armin, you're not gonna die, we'll see the ocean together liked we planned." Eren said shakily. Armin chuckled slightly and brushed his blonde locks out of his face, "Eren, you know I'm not gonna make it," Armin tossed Eren a silver ring, "Give that to (Y/N), please." Eren nodded, "Oh and one more thing before we do this," "Anything for you, Armin." The blonde smiled and continued, "Remember me as a hero to humanity. Now go!" Eren's Titan shell fell to the ground. Bertholdt saw this as a chance, so he swung his lanky arm across the wall, causing a mess. Armin hooked on to the Colossal Titan's teeth. The heat coming off of Bertholdt's body heat started to burn off Armin's skin and hair. Since Bertholdt was distracted, Eren came from behind and cut the Colossal's nape, causing two lifeless bodies to fall on a rooftop. Eren's eyes started to water, knowing that his best friend laid down his life just to save him. "You saved us all, Armin." He clutched the ring tight to his chest and flew off to the others.

Eren saw that they took down Reiner and he's also dead. He saw that Hanji is alive, (OOOOOH I AM SO GLAD THAT SHE ISN'T DEAD, I THOUGHT SHE WAS GONE FOR THE LONGEST) and Sasha was severely injured. "Eren! You're safe!" Mikasa hugged him, but he pushed her away, "I'm glad you're alright, too, mother." You ran up to the German boy, asking the same question over and over again, "Where's Armin?"

(Eren's reaction)

"(Y/N)... here." Eren handed you the matching promise ring that the one you love owns. "E-Eren, i-is he..." "Armin Arlert gave his whole heart to humanity, more than I'll ever give, he sacrificed himself for me because he knows that I'm Humanity's Last Hope to live in a Titan-free world, he is truly a hero to humanity. He wants me to carry on for him, including his dream of seeing the ocean. Humankind is one step closer to freedom because of his sacrifice. May he rest in peace." You fell to the ground and cried your eyed out, "I'll forever love you, Armin, and your sacrifice will never be forgotten. I can't wait to see you again, until then," You looked up to the sky, "I'm on my way to the ocean."

well time to kms bc this chapter legit killed me, i swear Isayama probably enjoys receiving death threats in the morning, drinking a nice warm cup of fan tears. like im emotionally unstable bc of chapter 82 and im on summer break which means updates for all my books
