When they were kids, they went to the summer festival together, bertholt was doing die cutting, since it was the thing he liked and was good at, he just finished an umbrella he made " all done" he smiled at his completion " whoa. Wow, bertholt that's pretty neat" Reiner says amazed " it's amazing" Annie adds, carrying a bag with two goldfish

"It's nothing that big of a deal, just the one thing I'm good at" he smiled, looking down

Flashback/memory end

In reality he was sleeping peacefully on his desk but wasn't lying his head on it like normal, his body is more upright in a weird pose

" Bertholdt? Bertholt!" Reiner was calling out his name so he could help him with his situation, but got no response " how does he sleep like that?" He sweat dropped " hey, good for him. I don't get, why he has to be all artsy about it though" jean comments " Uh. I think it means the Sun will come out tomorrow?" Connie guesses " I stopped making sense of things long ago, I just hurts the brain trying" Grayson adds

" BERTHOLT , WAKE THE HELL UP!" Reiner shouted, so loudly He immediately woke up with a fright, causing him to lose balance and fall backwards " Uh sorry" " okay, that stung A little bit" A little bit he rubbed his side before his eyes " morning Reiner, hows it going?"

"Fine, listen I've got a favour to ask"

" oh, yeah"

"It's-it's important, look I need your help, I was thinking about asking Christa to the summer festival " Reiner explained, bertholt looked surprised, before yawning" that's nice, good luck"

" you're coming along for the ride! I need a wingman!!!" Reiner exclaimed " what do you mean, I just be a third wheel. It's all cramp your style"

"Look in an ideal world of course here, I want the girl to be all to myself. The thing is-"

" go on"

" i'm to embarrassed..." Reiner says while poking his two fingers together

" ohhh."

" I bare my soul to you, and that's all you have to say" Reiner then noticed he was looking at a certain redhead reading next to Annie, his mischievous mark appeared on his face, Grayson seemed to be catching on and joined in

"To be clear what Reiner's saying this has to be a double date" Grayson smirked, along with Reiner " Wait, I gotta asked someone out. Who?" Bertholt asked "  Latina seems to be A good choice" the two said in unison, his face Turned red and immediately stuttered " don't be ridiculous! Why would I go out with Latina?! Talk About outta left field! It's not like I have a secret feelings-"

' this guy is an open book' the two sweat dropped

With Christa, Ymir and Lizzy

" you know what'd be great, the four of us stopping At that crêpe place by your house!" Christa says smiling

" Sure. You'll get fat" Ymir grinned "Oh my God do I look like I'm getting weight?! be honest!" Lizzy let out a giggle while the blond girl freaked out

" got to minute, Christa?" She turned her attention to Reiner, Ymir glaring at him while kanna just stared out of curiosity, he turned his head scratching the back of his neck blushing  "I was wondering if you'd like to go to the summer festival with me on Saturday, or whatever. I mean. If you want" he turned back

" I'd love to!" She smiled brightly " seriously?!" " the hell!? The festival is supposed to be you me Latina thing! plus lizzy now!" Ymir exclaimed

" don't be silly! It's more fun if we all go together!" Christa smiled, Ymir couldn't handle the extreme cuteness" Who else d'you think we should ask along?" Christa says, while she continued talking, Ymir turned to bertholt "Hey! Don't just stand there like an idiot! Say something!"

"Hm?" They both looked in the directing he was looking in, along with Lizzy and Grayson and noticed he was staring at Latina reading again

" I vote we make it a big group! Party! hm... oh, yeah! And I'll bet they have a crêpe store! I'm totally going to stuff my face!"

'Smirk!' The three other than kanna thought" so Ymir jumps in, wrapping an arm round the guys shoulder "Here's the deal Berthie, i'm pretty much going to shadow Christa The entire time so she doesn't get mauled by a gorilla or something" she says, grinning

"A gorilla?" Bertholt said confused "Im not up for grabs in the scenario. Best bet is to ask Latina" Ymir finishes with a smirk, he immediately went red and stuttering mode again "don't be ridiculous! Why would I go out with Latina?! Talk About outta left field! It's not like I have a secret feelings-"

'Worst poker face ever.' The three thought in unison"Hey latina! Got a minute? Bertholt has A question he'd like to ask you" Reiner calls out to the redhead, gaining her attention

"Reiner! ugh! Seriously?! Now?! Right now!?" Bertholt exclaimed

"Yes! Do you not wuss out! This is your chance!"he exclaimed back

Meanwhile

" I thought Reiner also liked Latina" Zane whispered to Grayson" he does, but he's giving bertholt a chance" he answered " ohh" zane nods understanding " that's actually generous"

"Hey what's up?" She walks over with Annie, Grayson walks over to her  pulls her to the side, whispering something, in her ear, bertholt stutters at first" d-do y-you m-maybe wanna..." he shuddered" come with all of us to the summer festival this Saturday!?" He asked very quickly, still giving the sentence out " the summer festival? Umm I don't know..." Latina looked away for a second

"Ooooo! I wanna go!" Everyone turned to see the others" sounds like it'd be a blast!" Eren says" Wherever eren goes I go" mikasa says" Ooo. Festival! I'm in!" Armin adds "Yakisoba, Cotton candy, shaved ice, grilled squid, octopus dumplings!" Of course the only thing on Sasha's mind was food "Cool! Think they'll have fried chicken?" Along with Connie

"Heh. Stick with me and I'll teach you all how to enjoy the summer festival like a boss" followed by jean " I don't know about that but I'll happily come along to" and drake finishes

"Alright! This will be so much fun! See? D'aw! You're going love it!" Christa cheered, by Latina, hugging her" I wasn't planning..." she tries to finished her sentence but didn't bother in the end

' wow. That escalated quickly...' the other four thought

On the roof

The four left the class room to get away from everyone inside and for bertholt to calm down, Ymir aginst the wall while the other three leaned on the railing" yeah, yeah, I know. We've got some stragglers now. But look on the bright side, you did technically ask her out" Reiner says, easing the tension "I guess. Sort of" bertholt sighs

"C'mon get off it, look, what's done is done, okay." Grayson says "It's Time for you to man up, The festivals a golden opportunity. Follow the truth, she's not gonna bite" Reiner adds

"Uh. Uh... truth about what?" Bertholt asks, slight red on his cheeks "Nice try. We all see the way you look at her" Reiner says, surprising the guy

"Really hope you weren't trying to be sneaky, because painfully obvious" Ymir comments, sweat dropping "Huh?!" He exclaimed "We should call you stare- tholdt!" He immediately freaks out while Ymir snickers to herself

"Don't come apart on us, dude accept and move on. This is your chance to tell her how you really feel. Take it" Reiner encourages "Don't be an idiot. How was he supposed to spill the beans with the jacka**-brigade in tow?" Ymir asks  "If he doesn't come clean now, he never will. And it's not like we have the option of un-inviting everyone" Reiner reminds "Duh, I know. Guess your boys up a creek. Sorry" she shrugs

"Nah. No worries. I've got a plan" Reiner smirks "Uh oh. Is it stupid?" Ymir asks wary " if ya need help, I've got Annie's help" Grayson says as the three walk away " how?" Ymir asked " Never mind that right now, now I have to go and talk to Zane, try and get him to ask lizzy out" They leave the tall boy pondering to himself

Saturday!

"Look at me. Stick to the plan and will lock this down, I've got it?" Reiner lectured bertholt, it was only him, Grayson Reiner waiting for everyone else" Yeah, sure" he nods "Moving into phase 1. At first, tell her she looks adorable!" Reiner exclaimed

"Wow, latina. Love the candy coating. You look adorable" banana bertholt with reiners voice compliments

" oh, bertholt. Kiss!" Reiner made the candy apple and chocolate banana kiss

Out of fantasyland

"The key is to focus on something specific" he instructed "Right" bertholt nods"Thanks for waiting!" They turned to see the girls, Ymir wasn't wearing a yukata, but Christa, Annie, lizzy and latinawere, she even had her hair down again "Hm?"

"Sorry, took me longer than to get dressed" Christa says

Ymir asked with a grin "Heh. You're sweet." Christa smiled, Reiner growling at Ymir while she stuck her tongue out at him"Oh, Latina's looks pretty swank, too, wouldn't ya sa, Bertie?" Grayson smirked turning to him

"Oh, Uh, oh, I-Uh!" Ymir moved behind him and pushed him foward "We're waiting!" He stopped next to latina who turned to Acknowledge him " hey"

"oh, Uh! You, look. Uh..." Reiner, Grayson and Ymir appears behind him

" I'll give you a little hint: It has to do with her yukata~" she sang, while Latina stared in confusion "You. Uh, I mean. Violet." He was soo! So Close!

' now! Say it!' The three exclaimed in thought "I'm really liking that knot you have on your geta strap." He rubbed the back of his head with a goofy looking smile

"Hey guys!" They looked up and saw the others approaching "What is this where we were supposed to meet up?" Eren asked, Sasha gasped and rushed to latina

" Oh, hey guys. What'cha got goin' on down there?" Sasha noticed Grayson, Reiner and Ymir Lying on the ground" Whaddya Think we ought to do first?" Eren asked "Meh. I dunno. Be sure to not blow through this months allowance, your mum asked me to remind you" mikasa said

"i'm craving octopus dumplings!" Armin smiles" I love the yukata on you, too, Christa! Yours too Annie!" Sasha rushed over to them

" it was a present from my dad" Annie says "How Come you're not wearing one?" Christa asked" I went Jinbei. A yukata's too tight around my tummy" Sasha says  "Fine! Onto phase 2! Show her your manly side...at the shooting gallery!" Reiner exclaimed" I'm tellin' you, there is nothing macho The festival then a sharpshooter stall" he says as the group, so happened to be walking past it

"This booth looks kind of cool come I wanna give it a try?" Berthold asked" Sure I'm game" jean grins "Hey kiddos! The names Ness. I am the proprietor of this stall. This here is my pet hamster, Charette. She has thought of a thing for chewing on folks's hair, So be careful less you figure on going bald-" nesses hamster jumps on his head and starts attacking his hair, distracting him

Banana bertholt was holding a gun and shoots at his prize, then had an it to candy apple Latina" here you go Latina, I won it. Just For you." banana bertholt with reiners voice hands her a teddy bear with a love heart on it "oh, bertholt. Kiss!" He makes the two kiss again

Fantasy world ends

'Woah....' berthold felt a little uneasy, just Connie caught their attention" Check out the aim! Mikasa Just bagged the biggest prize in the booth on her first shot" connie exclaimed

she walks over to drake, who was patting erens back since the only prize he got was a small red dice and was gritting his teeth "eren. This is for you" She handed over to him" Uh sorry what?" He asks while confused "You look hungry. Pork fillet cutlet hungry"

"What kind of look is that?" Eren asks confused, just then mikasa and Annie's eyes met, Annie's eyes turned irritated, so she walked over to the stall, picked up the gun and shit at one of the prizes

"No away! Another on the first try!" Connie exclaimed, she turns to mikasa and delivers the same look

" hey. So, Uh... no one is going to eat that, maybe..." Sasha says on the side lines, the two girls smack their hands on the stall table, making the man Ness sweat drop when they said" Mister, one more time please.' In unison, it was more than one try, making the three boys sweat drop

"Could you not run me out of business, please?"  The man begged bowing with the hamster following his owners moves

' well, this clearly was on the way to go' the three thought in unison" Don't worry, my plan still has a trump card that all completely turns around!" The group continued walking throughout the festival

"Trust me it's fool proof!" Reiner says"anyone else hot? I could go for some shaved ice right now" bertholt says " Yeah, good idea" jean agrees "Want some Latina?" Bertholt asked "Yeah sure" she nodded smiling

"Sounds brilliant! Tell you what, let me buy some for everybody, my treat!" Sasha says surprising them" I'll help carry!" Connie adds as the two run off

"No wait! Guys!" Reiner exclaimed but the two were already gone "Ugh. Fine! Shouldn't affect the outcome, moving to phase 3 operation " look out, your yukata'll get stained!"

Fantasy world, how Times we enter the fantasy world?!

"First Ymir will hand Latina her shaved ice" a hand held a Ymir faced printed on cup with shaved ice in it "Uh- oh!" Just then she pretends to accidentally spill it" just when it's about to plop smack- dab on her nice outfit, Sploosh!" Candy apple Latina flinched, but realised nothing got on her, she looked up and saw choc-banana bertholt covered in shaved ice "You okay? Sorry 'bout that" choc-banana berthold apologised

" It's alright. I prefer a chocolate coated banana anyway. Ahh. Love- love- love!" Reiner once again made the two kiss

Out of fantasyland

"What'd I tell ya? It's your ace in the hole! Uh...just..." Reiner looked down the path along with Ymir Christa and Lizzy, Sasha and Connie went down, to not see them coming back" Huh. Sure is taking them a long time to get back" Christa says

" I think we left the wrong people in charge of reconnaissance" Reiner sweatdropped "I wouldn't be surprised if they got lost"

"My pleasure miss!" Bertholt turned his attention latina, who was picking up a bag with two goldfish in it, along with Annie " Latina?" She noticed a small drop of water and brushed it off her clothes, then turning to Annie continuing their conversation

"Damn! Phase threes a bust at this rate!" Reiner exclaimed" So? Just tweak your stupid plan already" Ymir says "Or, we could just forget about it" berthold says being completely serious "Okay. Great. And now he's backing out" Ymir says arms crossed

"What?! Dude! We're trying to help!" Reiner exclaimed "Look, I know you mean well. But seriously, putting Latina in this position isn't cool" bertholt says clearly wanting everyone going on to end, with a serious face, just then Sasha and Connie appeared from the bushes

"We made it back!" Connie says "Huh. See? That's what we get for taking one of your shortcuts" Sasha technically scoulds him " Where were you?" Jean asked "Don't worry about it, enjoy your shaved ice!" She held out two cups of shaved ice, that had practically melted "It's Basically flavoured water now!" He complained"If you don't want it I'll take it" Sasha offered "Hey hands off!" Jean snapped, taking his drink

' smirk' Ymir sneaks to the side, as Sasha tries to reach she appears behind jeans and gives a gentle shove, knocking the cup of of his hand" Uh oh!" The drink spewd, heading straight for Latina

" Latina! Look out!" Bertholt exclaimed, she gasped when seeing it heading towards her, the liquid splashed, everyone else stood in shock, she flinched but felt nothing, Latina eyes opened and gasped when she saw bertholt standing in front of her, taking the hit" Bertholt..."

"You okay? Nothing on your clothes?" He asked while smiling "N-no I'm fine." She shakes her head

" Good" he smiled" Nice save! Good thing bertholt was around, huh?" Reiner says still sweat dropping "Yeah! I'll say! Those were some cat like reflexes!" Ymir adds

"Are you okay though?  you got drenched"Latina asked worried "No worries, I'll just go wash up. Scuse me. I'm going to need a minute" he said as he passed Reiner "Uh, sure thing..." the group watched as he walked away

Somewhere

Berthold pours water over himself, then Sighs, looking down

"Look at me...all this bs cause I don't know how to talk to her..." he stared down at his reflection sadly"Come on come all! Step right up and enjoy some first-rate diecutting!" His attention turned to some man yelling at a table

Back with a group

"You find him?" Reiner asked "He wasn't by the rest rooms" jean answered" Where did he go? I thought he was coming back" Sasha said" Crap. He totally freaked out. We got too carried away" Ymir scolded herself "Got to be somewhere. I say we scatter." Reiner said, Latina remembered something from a conversation she had with bertholt a few days ago, she knew where he'd be

Meanwhile

She walked into an forestry area, she then noticed him at a table, he was die-cutting, she walked over and saw him finishing an umbrella"Uh? All done." He said" Nice job. Can that's be it for now? C'mon kid. I'm a workin' man. Keep this pace up, you're going to drive me outta business, How bout some bonus prizes?" He pulled out too masks, one looked like the colossal titan, and one a blue Phoenix

"Both of them?"he questioned "Yeah why not? one for you one for your girlfriend" he said referring to latina, making him turn and See her "Oh! My what?! She's not my girlfriend!" While she looked confused

The two sat alone on the benches, waiting for the others

"This is where we all planned to meet up with someone found, everyone else should be here soon" Latina said as the two sat down" Sorry. You must've looked everywhere" bertholt apologised

"No not really, I remembered from our discussion ages ago about when you used to go to the festival with Annie and Reiner, and how much you like diecutting" she said which surprised him "You remembered?

"Course I did, thanks to that I had a fairly good idea where you might be" she smiles" Makes Sense" he turned his attention back forward "Still though I can't remember the last time I've been to the summer festival"

"Sorry. I shouldn't of asked you, but I hope you're having a little fun" bertholt hoped "It's not that just haven't been to a festival with so many people, lizzy and I used to never hang out as much since we went to different schools,  before junior high, so I was always alone...plus my parents were always to busy...and I didn't have many friends until drake and Grayson" she said moving a strand of hair out of her face, the comment was sad and shocking

"Im sorry!" He apologised "Don't be, bring me up the best thing actually, because I'm here with you and everyone else, I used to shut people out before, but when I'm around you, I can be myself, mainly... because I don't have to make small talk" she finishes

"They put me in the friend zone or somewhere even worse?" He shuddered" Really I think if you like, like air" Latina said "That's way worse!" He exclaimed

She could hold her laughed, bertholt just looked in awe blushing, she hadn't laughed like that before, the two didn't realise the groups presents not to far away, everyone was remaining quiet but one opened her mouth

"Hey guys! Over here!-" Reiner covered sasha's mouth before they could hear "Shh! Shut. Up." Ymir scoulded

"Sorry that was mean" Latina giggled, this was it, question time

"I shouldn't-" " latina, would-" they cut each other off

"Latina ...How do I say this? Would you..?"

Just then the fireworks went off, the others didn't hear the him ask the question but saw his looks move, and the look on Latina face, they all stared intensely, except eren, mikasa, armin, Connie and drake

"Sure." She answered which surprised bertholt with a blush" Yes!" Reiner cheered, but they all yelped as they fell forward, except Lizzy and Christa

"What are you doing?" Bertholt sat up in surprise as did violet " You did it, man! I'm proud of ya!" Reiner cheered "I knew you'd work around it eventually, it was only a matter of time" Ymir smiled proudly " you finally did it" Grayson gave a thumbs up

"Aw, thanks. It's no big deal. Hey! Why don't we all do some diecutting!" The three's poker face

"Huh?!"

The whole group, except  Ymir, Reiner and Grayson participated in diecutting, Zane and drake did have to stop Sasha from eating hers

"Fantastic. All the trouble and she said yes to die-cutting" ymir muttered "Perfect moment was staring him in the face" Grayson muttered

"It keeps breaking!" Eren growled pulling at his hair "You're good at this, bertholt. Wow, look at that!" Sasha compliments" Thanks. It takes patience, the secrets not to rush things. See if you're in a hurry, you always press too hard and wind up damaging it especially if you're not super careful..."

"It's a start" Reiner sighed with a small smile, just then the fireworks went off again, this time more and different coloured ones

"Woah! Awesome!" Connie says

"They're beautiful!" Sasha adds

"Wow! incredible!" Eren exclaimed

"Beautiful" Latina muttered while staring in awe with a smile, bertholt looking at her before smiling and staring up at the sky" They certainly are..."
