Cadet Training Camp

Keith: You, there!

Armin is now nervous because he's the one who'd been called out first.

Armin: Sir!

Keith: Tell me who you are!

Armin: I'm Armin Arlert, from Shiganshina!

Keith: Really?! What a stupid name. Your parents give you that?!

Armin: My grandfather gave it to me!

Keith: Arlert, why did you came here?

Armin: To aid humanity's victory!

Keith: That is indeed wonderful... I'll feed you to the Titans! *holds his head* Row 3, above face!

And they followed, accordingly. He moves on to a blonde boy

Keith: Tell me who you are!

Thomas: I'm Thomas Wagner, from Trost!

Keith: Repeat! I can't hear you!

Thomas: Thomas Wagner, from-

Keith: Too soft! Go practice in the cattle shed!

But then, one of the high ranks from the Cadet Corps who's with a recent graduated high-rank Cadet, who's now observing the whole 104th. Keit6h moves on to the next one.

Elite: There they goes... You had the same thing during your first day as well, don't you?

Elite: It brings back memories, sir.

Keith intimidates a girl named Mina Carolina.

Keith: Wrong! You are from the pig shed, worth less than cattle.

Mina fights back by agreeing to what he said.

Mina: Yes, sir! I am less than a cattle!

Keith: No, you're a fly, swarming around the pig's crap shed!

-Elite: What's the point in intimidating them?

Elite: It's a rite of passage. We force them to abandon who they are, then raise them from nothing as pure soldiers. It's a necessary process.

Keith is now intimidating another cadet.

Keith: What a horrible name! Change it now! What are you doing here?!

Cadet: Sacrificing myself for humanity!

Keith: Row 4, about face!

Row 4 in which that's where Eren's and Y/n's location is. Has followed it's instructions. The Cadet noticed the rest of them are different.

Elite: It seems not all of them are being subjected to that, why?

Elite: There's no need for those who have already undergone the rite of passage. If I were to guess, they're those who lived through hell from two years ago. You can see it in their eyes. Now. let's go.

Elite: Yes, sir.

Keith now is on the other row where he intimidated someone who has a eyes of cocky attitude.

Keith: Tell me who you are!

Jean: I'm Jean Kirschstein, from Trost!

Keith: What are you doing here?

Jean: *cocky* To join the Military Police and lead a life within the walls.

Eren turns his eyes to him. Y/n just laughs himself inside.

Y/n: 'Now you're getting it, idiot.'

Y/n has a secret camera device embedded to his eye contact lens and it scans all of the person within a kilometer.

Keith: Oh, I see... *scoffs* You want access to the Interior?

Jean: Yes.

Keith head butts him so hard, he dropped to the ground.

Keith: Who said you could sit down?! Anyone who can't handle this will never make to the Military Police!

He moves on to the other.

Keith: Tell me who you are! What are you doing here?

Marco:  I'm Marco Bott, Jinae City, Wall Rose South District! I want to join the Military Police to offer my body and serve the King!

Keith: *sarcasm* Really. I'm glad to hear that. Good luck. *intimidates* However. *pulls his shirt closer to his face* The king doesn't want your body.

Keith let's go of him and continues.

Keith: Next! You! Tell me who you are!

Connie: *wrong salute* Connie Springer, Ragako Village, Wall Rose South District!

Keith grabs his head and lifted it. Other has their mouths open wide when they see this. 

Keith: You're doing it wrong, Connie Springer. I explained it to you already. This salute demonstrates your resolve to devote your entire heart to the people. Is your heart on the right side?

*Crunch*

Keith just looked at who did that. Sasha Braus, aka, Potato-Girl. Keith drops Connie and looked at the girl.

Keith: Hey, you... What are you doing?

She ate with a little more pace, and Keith begins to shout it out.

Sasha: *gulps* I'm Sasha Braus, Dauper Village, Wall Rose South District!

Sasha gets a punishment, is by running through the whole camp.

Marco: He's still making that potato girl run.

Eren: Wow, 5 straight hours? But she looked more devastated when told she wouldn't get dinner than when told she must be run to verge of dying.

Connie: If I'm not mistaken. Dauper Village is a tiny hunting village, deep in the mountains right?

Eren looks to the other side where there's a carriage leaving the camp.

Eren: Hm. What's that?

Mina: The dropouts. They requested to be transferred back to the fields.

Armin: What? But it's only the first day.

Eren: It can't be helped. If you aren't strong enough, you have to leave.

They are surprised about this statement except Armin who knows what had they've been through. Including Y/n.

Y/n: I still find it hard to believe they'd rather go back to weed whacking and rock mining.

Marco: *stands up* Come to think of it, Eren. He didn't ask where you were from, right?

Eren: I'm from Shiganshina, the same as him and Y/n.

Connie, Mina and Marco realized that they're survivors of the fall.

Marco: I see... That's...

Connie: Then you were there on that day?

Marco: O-Oi.

Connie: Did you see the Colossal Titan?

Eren: Y-Yeah...

Inside the cafeteria

Eren: I already told you I saw it.

Some cadets are around Eren and Y/n. After what they heard that the 3 have seen the fall, they started to bombard the question.

Thomas: Really?

Cadet (B): How big was it?

Eren: Big enough to take a look over the walls.

A guy named Daz said a false claim about how it breached the wall.

Daz: What? I heard it steppe right over it.

Cadet (G): Me too.

Cadet: (B): That's what they said in my village.

Eren: No, it wasn't that tall.

Mina: What did it look like?

Eren: It had no skin at all, but for sure it has a huge mouth.

Cadet (B): What about the Armored Titan that broke Wall Maria?

Eren: That's what they call it? It looked like a normal Titan to me.

Cadet (B): T-Then what's a normal Titan look like?

Eren suddenly remembers that her mom almost got eaten. But it stopped when Y/n taps his shoulder.

Y/n: Eren, you want me to do the talking next?

Eren: It's not that. *goes vengeful mode* The Titans aren't all big of a deal! If we can master the ODM gear, they won't stand a chance! I'm finally able to train as a soldier... I was just got too excited, that's all. I'll join the Survey Corps and wipe all the Titans  from existence! I'll kill them all with my bare hands if I have to!

The silence is filling the room because of what Eren said. Until it was broke by a girl Cadet.

Cadet (G): Wait, but what about that Titan who looks like a mechanical?

Y/n: Mechanical?

Mina: Ahh, that one.

Marco: You mean, that thing?

Connie: I have no idea who you're preferring to as.

Y/n realized they're talking about his Gundam

Eren: Oh, you mean the 00?

Then a girl named Krista Lenz suddenly perks her ear up when she heard that name. That memory of meeting that Gundam felt like her heart has been set on the righteous path.

Mina: Yeah! I remember when I saw it. 

Connie: Wait... You mean that one who carried a 250 people in a container of some kind and they're saved by that?

Cadet (B): Wait... I think it has those stars that's releasing on his shoulder?

Cadet (G): I also heard in my village that it has the same equipment like the ODM gear.

Cadet (G): What's it look like, did you see it?

Eren suddenly spoke about it.

Eren: Well, I barely could see any of it. 

They just sighed in defeat because he can't answer it.

Eren: However though, there's one thing I need to figure it out.

All of them are confused on what he meant. but he proceeds.

Eren: What's their purpose? Why did it saved the lives of us humans? Why are they here? Why defend us when we're weak back then? And finally, what're those stars that disperses on his shoulders?

This statement made the cadets also wonder about the same questions looping inside their heads. Who made that ginormous mech? What's it look like? And a lot more. Y/n decided to reveal the looks of it as he sighs it off his chest.

Y/n: I think I know what you're talking about. I'll get something, hold on.

Y/n left the hall and goes outside and activates his menu screen. There he materialized the book of the Gundam, labeled "Machine Ideas".

Y/n: Hey, I'm back. *puts the book down*

Connie: Eh, what's that?

Y/n: Oh, it's about the mechanical you're talking about. Origins, size, strength, weakness and more.

The cadets wondered what the title of the book means. Y/n opens the book and flips the page on where he designs his first armor, the seven sword combined with his favorite anime he watched and many more ideas he planned for his 00 Core Gundam.  

Y/n: Is this the one?

Eren: Yes, that's him.

Y/n: Well, what do you think when you see him in that day.

Eren: I...

Eren can still remember about the wings of light it gave from it's twin GN drives and dashes through the battle field.

Eren: I think it gives me freedom. 

Y/n: Hmm. I see.

Y/n turned another page to see the original form of 00.

They're shocked about the 00 Gundam. The one who resolved the conflict in Anno Domini era. 

Y/n: Well, that's his original look. The one who changed the world it lives in. 

The cadets are confused about this but they just shrugged it and continued to listen to him if there's more about him.

Y/n: The one you saw at the last page, it was his arsenal. The Seven Sword TN.

They're stared in awestruck at this part of the page. It's also shocking that it gives the origin and every detail of it.

Eren: That machine...

Mina: He's beautiful.

Connie: How could he use those two heavy swords?

Marco: This is the one rumored who saved Shiganshina civilians.

Cadet: Pfft, that look tough to me...

Y/n: 'Well good luck slicing its head and nape clean with your small blades'

Krista now seen it's form, gets out of the cabin and left.

Thomas: Well who's side he is, anyway?

Y/n: He's on his own. 

Cadet (G): So he's on no one's side?

Y/n: You could say that. *closes the book and hides it under the table and back to his inventory, secretly* 'The reason is the legendary pilot uses this to eradicate the war and conflict in his world.'

Eren: Well, that's all I need to know. If what you say is true, then I'll make that thing help us if I have too, if we want to reclaim what's ours.

But then someone cocky intervened.

Jean: Hey, are you sane? Did you just say you want to join the Survey Corps?

Eren: Yeah, I did. I believe you wanted to join the Military Police and take it easy, right?

Jean: I'm a honest person, okay. I think it's much better than a guy acting tough when he's about to piss himself

Eren suddenly stand up as if he's triggered at what Jean said.

Eren: Are you talking about me?

Marco: S-Stop it.

Jean: *cocky laugh* Hey, come on...

They face to face until the bell rang indicating dinner time is over.

Jean: *sigh* Well, I'm sorry. It's not like I wanted to deny with your way of thinking. *lifts out a hand* Peace?

Eren: Yeah. I'm sorry, too. *high-fived Jean's hand*

Jean seemed a little pissed about it, until his thoughts drifted when he saw Mikasa passing by and time slowed down for him.

Jean: *blushing* Hey, you... W-W-Well, uh... It's just that you look quite rare around here... I'm s-sorry. Your black hair is pretty.

Mikasa: Thank you.

And she left, Y/n followed by. Jean snapped back to reality and he rushes outside to find her. He saw her with Eren and Y/n.

Eren: I'm fine, leave me alone.

Mikasa: You're always so impulsive when you're heated up.

Eren: That again?

Y/n: I know one thing about that. Triggered or embarrassed.

Eren: Well, anyway. Isn't your hair a little too long? It could cause an accident when you're practicing with the ODM.

Mikasa checks her hair and realized he's right. 

Mikasa: Very well.

Y/n: Well, if you wanna do it; it's either you cut your hair or just tie it with a knot.

Jean, watching the 3, his face got dark becaus he thought someone got to her first. Oh, how wrong he was when he's gonna preferred to Y/n.

Mikasa: Hmm. I'll cut it. But how short should it be?

Y/n: Well...

Connie pass from behind Jean, humming. Jean wipes his hand on Connie's back.

Connie: H-Hey. It's my shirt! What did you wipe off with it?

Jean: My trust... towards human...

In the forest near the cabin, Krista is silently sitting there, sad. Thinking about the 00. Krista thoughts to herself.

Krista: 'Why am I... sad? Why is it related to the dream I keep seeing inside my head'

Krista didn't felt that she just dropped a tear from her eyes.

Timeskip

10 PM

Y/n is now writing on his journal about the status in his first day at Cadet Corps and how it went, then he hears a loud exhausted breathing so he puts the pen and journal down and go outside silently to see who's doing that kind of sound. 

He saw Sasha, now exhausted and limping from running returns to cabin.

Sasha: I'm finally done... *drops to the ground*

She's sweating, exhausted, feeling her body run out of energy to go inside and to her bed.

Y/n: *sighs and mutters* Low battery. *hears footsteps on his right* Hm?

Then he could see someone came to see her. It was Krista. But then, Sasha smells something, she awakens like a wild beast who has injected by adrenaline shot and bites out something from Krista. 

Krista: *yells*

Krista is sweating bullets, she's scared and saw Sasha's position. She's like a wild beast hungry for some food it needed. But when she snapped back to reality.

Sasha: This is... Bread!

Krista: *nervous* T-that's all I could get, but I saved one for you. But you should drink some water first.

Y/n: Well, lucky you Sasha. 'Someone's still has envy for you when you're hungry already while running. Otherwise you'll really gonna die at exhaustion, heat stroke, or hunger'

Then Sasha is imagining things and gets near to them both.

Sasha: Are you god and goddess?!

Krista: Huh?

Y/n: Okay... just take it easy now.

Sasha: Blessings by the Gods!!

Y/n: Okay... we need to run.

Then a woman came to see them. Her name is Ymir.

Ymir: What are you three doing?

They looked at her well, except Sasha who just ate the bread like a wild animal.

Krista: Um, she spent the whole day running...

Ymir: So you're trying to do a good deed?

Krista just gasps about the fact that Ymir was right. Y/n is just minding his own business while looking at Sasha who just shoved the 2nd half of the bread she take a bite out of, inside her mouth. She passed out after eating the whole bread and lied down on her lap.

Ymir: Did you do that for the potato girl? Was the effort worth what you guys got out of it?

Krista just hesitates to answer while Y/n stands up and picks up Sasha.

Y/n: Well, whatever it is, just help me pick Sasha up.  

Ymir: *sigh* Well, it doesn't matter. *helps Y/n* Anyway, we're carrying her to bed.

They lift her up and Krista asks.

Krista: Are you doing a good deed, too?

Ymir: I'm just doing her a favor so she'll owe me. I'm looking forward to a lot of fun form this idiot, and this boy here.

When they went inside and gently puts Sasha on her bed and let her self go to sleep.

Y/n: *breathes* Thanks.

Ymir: No problem. Just as long as she's still kicking. What's your name?

Y/n before he left heard the question and answers her.

Y/n: Y/n. Kyoya Y/n.

Day 5 Cadet Corp

This is day where they will master all about the ODM gear balancing.

Keith: First, we'll evaluate what you have! Anyone who can't do this, can't even serve as a decoy! They will be sent to back to the fields.

Many are now on the aptitude test. Many are trying their best to balance while some struggled.

One of the elites who are also instructors are observing the test as well.

Elite: It's still on fundamental level, but you can see their potential with the ODM with this.

They see many are training at it, he saw that it caught his eyes. It was Mikasa who cut her hair short.

Elite: She's steady as a rock. She knows exactly what needs to be done.

The rest like Connie, Sasha and Jean are getting used to it.

Elite: Looks like we have a lot of talent this year.

Elite 2: Um, what about him?

Elite: That is a quality by itself. You may have the willpower, but it doesn't necessarily mean you can do better than average.

Eren is upside-down, because he can't keep himself balance.

Keith: What are you doing, Eren Jaeger?! Pick yourself up!

Eren: 'What is this? How am I supposed to do this? This can't be happening...'

Keith: Put him down. You're next, Kyoya Y/n!

Y/n: Yes, sir.

Eren puts down and Y/n goes next. Mikasa picks up Eren and they talked about what happened recently. 

Then when Y/n is about to attach his, he felt something off about it.

Y/n: 'Hmm, the belt feels off on this one. Keith Shadis, are you testing Eren?'

Keith: Cadet Y/n, is there a problem?!

Y/n: Nothing, sir!

When its done Keith made it difficult by having some weird motions on the testing gear.

Y/n: Whoa. 'Okay, this is different, he's now testing me.'

Y/n concentrates and remembers the maneuvers that the Gundam did before. So he did and finally did the impossible move maneuvering.

All of them including Eren are jaw-dropped how even though he's at the crazy malfunctioning gear he's still balancing, as if, he goes with the flow of somebody without being taught. Keith is just surprised that Y/n seen through his purpose of why is it malfunctioning and amazed deep inside him.

Keith: Put him down. Next!

Afternoon

3 PM

Mikasa, Armin and Eren are now trying it again. While Y/n is watching from the cabin.

Mikasa: You should be able to do it if you stick to the basics of it. Don't think about doing it well. Watch your balance and position, then slowly rest your weight on the belts attached to your hips.

Armin: Stay calm, and you can do it. Even I can do it. 

Eren: Then how did Y/n do it, even though its getting crazy?

Mikasa: I don't know, but knowing him, he might've prepared about that in case if it ever happens.

Eren: Okay, I think I can do it this time. Raise me, Armin!

Eren ended up faceplant to the ground. Y/n just winced about it silently.

Y/n: That's gonna leave a mark. 'Never a good feeling having a faceplant to the hard dirt for the first time'

Night

9 PM

They just bullied him, and in the dead night. Eren just begged for help about how did they do it. He finally came to Bertholdt and Reiner who are apparently passed at it.

Eren: Please! I've heard you two are really good! Bertholdt, Reiner!

Reiner thinks hard about how did he really do it back there. But come up with nothing.

Reiner: Sorry, but I can't imagine any trick to just hanging there. I only balanced myself is all I got. I don't think I can give you the advice you're looking for.

Eren sighs with no luck at all, aiming for the key. When he didn't know that he was testing by Keith.

Eren: I see...

Armin: We'll just have to hope for the best tomorrow.

But then Bertholdt asked them.

Bertholdt: You two are from Shiganshina, right?

Armin: Yes... Why?

Bertholdt: Then you should know how terrifying the Titans are. So then why are you aiming to be a soldier?

Armin and Eren tries not to talk about it, but gives in anyway.

Armin: Unlike Eren, it's not like I saw the Titan up close... But when I thought about how the government forced into that insane plan to retake Titan territory, I couldn't stand still about it.

Bertholdt: I see...

Armin: Where are you two from?

Bertholdt: Reiner and I come from a small village in the mountains of the southeast of Wall Maria.

Armin: But... That means...

Bertholdt: Yeah. It isn't like the big towns by the rivers... The news was slow to reach us. In fact, the Titans reached us first.

[Flashback]

Bertholdt wakes up from his sleep in his village  who's having a nice long nap but it disturbed by noises he heard.

 *narrating*Bertholdt: It was dawn... The animals were unusually restless when I heard them on my sleep, and then we heard a rumbling we'd never heard before. Eventually, as it got louder, we realized it was the sound of footsteps. Then when I rushed to open the window...

That's when he saw it, a creepy ang ugly-looking Titan staring down at him at the window.

[Flashback end]

Armin gulps at the scenario that he imagined. 

Bertholdt: Beyond that, I don't really remember. Everyone was in panic.

Reiner: *worries* Why are you discussing this now?

Bertholdt: I'm sorry... In short, I meant to say is... you aren't like the others.

Armin: *confused* The others?

Bertholdt: Those here who don't understand how terrifying the Titans really are...

Reiner: *broke the conversation* Enough, Bertholdt. I don't want you remembering your trauma again.

The boys are just happily talking while Y/n is not. Y/n knows that a crisis is coming soon, and he needs to prepare for it.

Bertholdt, Reiner, Armin and Eren left the cabin secretly when its dark.

Y/n secretly left the cabin also, and goes somewhere.

Next Day

This is the day where Eren has his final chance whether he fails or proceeds.

Keith: Eren Jaeger , are you ready?

Eren: Yes! 'I'll do this! I can do this!'

Y/n: Wait, sir. May I change belts to him?

Keith: 'Hmm, it seems he isn't just a show-off squirt' Kyoya, change belts with Jaeger.

Y/n: Yes, sir.

After changing, they lift Eren up again and this time he completely balanced.

Keith: Your equipment was defective. The fitting on your belt was damaged. I've never heard of this part getting damaged. Looks like, I'll have to add it to the maintenance checklist. 

Cadets are all now surprised at the reason.

Cadet (B): So, he managed to stay upright for a bit, even with a broken belt?

Cadet (B): Amazing...

Eren: T-Then, how did I go?

Keith: You're fine.

Y/n: In simple terms... You passed.

Keith: Commence training.

Eren: *raises his arms up with a smile* I did it! I really did it! 'Did you see Mikasa? I can do this! I can fight the Titans! I don't need you taking care of me anymore!'

Mikasa and the rest have their mouths opened. Mikasa looks at Y/n who helped his brother. Reiner is beside Bertholdt who just complimented the result.

Reiner: I guess it all worked out.

Armin: He's looking at us, telling us to see him.

Mikasa: No... *the three looked at her* He's relieved because he thinks we won't have to be separated now.

Keith thought about Eren who has passed the test and remembers Grisha.

Keith: 'Grisha... Today, your son, has become a soldier.'

Dusk

Keith is now riding at horseback and grapple hooks passed by him. Eren, Mikasa and Armin are now swinging through trees themselves using the ODM gear he's using.

Eren: 'If you're watching this 00. We swore...'

Mikasa: 'we'll find you...'

Armin: 'and we'll meet again...'

The trio: 'We're sure of it!'

Y/n is inside a giant room, and opens his desk lamp. He calls someone.

Y/n: Hey, Karuna... Do you have it?

Karuna: Yep, just like you requested. It is currently being planned out by our buddy, Hiroto. Well, as of now.

Y/n: Welp, he's the Core Gundam Meister. So he knows the way around when it comes to docking ship customization. I'm inspired to his Gundam ability and system.

Emilia: Ah, duh, it was your ridiculous idea to make another one for you.

Karuna: Oh, c'mon now. Everyone knows him in our world as "the one who wields the mysterious GM System".

Y/n: Well, you're not wrong about that. Which in fact only Avalon, Game Master, Ms. Tori, the 2 Build Divers forces, and my brother are the only ones who know what it means. Anyways, are we doing it?

Hiroto: Yep, and you know it's gonna take months for me to do this but I think we can make this thing under 2 days if me and my team agrees to your plan. 

Y/n: Okay, that's good. *sighs* Project: 00 TN is now commencing.

Then it showed the project design he made.
