After the whole court is done, Hange is treating Eren's wounds, while Levi and Y/n is just sitting, writing his journal.

Hange: Talk about harsh at those moments there. I bet it hurts.

Eren: A little...

Hange: So, how exactly does it hurt?

Eren: Huh?

Eren couldn't answer, but Erwin began to apologize.

Erwin: I'm sorry about that. But it did get you placed in our custody.

Eren: Yes...

Erwin: The pain was worth it.

Y/n: And the intimidation.

Erwin couldn't help but smirk at that sentence.  He tried to suppress his smile and chuckle in the courtroom when Hallelujah is going nuts. 

Erwin: Good point. It lets us play our trump cards when it would be most effective. *offers his hand* You have my admiration.

Eren couldn't believe it as he sees Erwin smiling.

Erwin: Eren, I also look forward to working with you.

Eren: R-Right! Thank you, sir!

Levi then sits beside Eren and asked him.

Levi: Tell me, Eren. 

Eren: Y-Yes?

Levi: Do you resent me?

Eren: N-No. I understand it was a necessary performance.

Y/n: Well, consider the fact that was the reason when I just woke up before getting out of the Gundam. *slightly chuckle*

Levi: *sighs* Good, then.

Hange: Still, you didn't have to go so far. You even knocked his tooth out! *shows the tooth* See?

Levi: Don't pick that up. It's disgusting.

Y/n: 'Well, I did pick my own removed baby tooths for my normal tooths to reveal themselves when I was a kid. In fact, I had a few in a jar back in my home. Well, it's not like everyone can relate to it.'

Levi: Don't pick that up. It's disgusting.

Hange: This is a precious sample of its own.

Levi: Eren. Be thankful you aren't getting dissected by people like her.

Y/n: Levi's right. I can already tell when I look at her.

Hange: Come on, don't compare me with them. I would never kill Eren. Hey, Eren. Let me see inside your mouth.

Y/n: Oh, great... That's the stupidest idea.

Hange: Oh, it already grew back.

Y/n: Told ya.

Y/n sighs and continues writing. But he thought of someone.

Y/n: 'Rico Brzenska... Why do you look so familiar to me?'

Old Scout Regiment HQ

Oluo: The old Scout Regiment headquarters. Just as you'd expected from a renovated old castle, it looks fancy and all.

They are now riding back to the old HQ with the Levi Squad and their escorts, Y/n and Eren.

Oluo: But being so far form the wall and the river it wound up being totally useless for the Scouts. That was back in the early days. when everyone had high hopes. Still, to think that this oversized decoration would end up as the perfect holding place for the both of you now...

Y/n: Sir. I'm just grateful that this thing is enough to store the Gundam.

Eren looks behind to see Levi glaring, so he just minds his own business. Until Oluo gets close to Eren and Y/n. Eren flinched but Y/n didn't care about him.

Oluo: Don't get cocky, rookies

Eren: Come again?!

Oluo: I don't know if you're all a Titan or what, but don't assume Captain Levi's gonna stick with some-

Y/n: *neutral* Uhm, sir. Please watch the road or else-

Oluo: What do you mean watch the-?!

Suddenly his horse tripped to a big rock and he bitten his tongue in the process.

Y/n: 'That's what I'm trying to say...'

Inside HQ

Petra: Talking on a horse is a guaranteed way to bite your tongue. 

Oluo: First impressions are important. I had those rookies scared stiff.

Petra: Well, you didn't even scared the cute one.

Oluo: Cute?

Y/n: *quietly sneezes* 'Someone's talking about me again, I think?'

Petra: Actually, I think they're just surprised at how dumb you are.

Oluo: Whatever the case, it went exactly as planned.

Petra: Hey. You didn't used to talk like that, you know. If, by some chance, you're trying to imitate Captain Levi... could you cut it out? You're nothing like him at all, actually.

Oluo: Are you trying to nag me, Petra? If you wanna act like you're my wife, there's more you need to do first.

Petra: I wish you had bitten your tongue off and died, bragging all about how many Titans you've killed...

Oluo: Don't worry. I bragged about you too, while I was at it.

Eren began to observe the Levi's Squad.

Eren: 'They're the members of the Scout Regiment's Special Operations Squad... Also known as the Levi Squad.'

Petra: Sheesh, you're so disgraceful!

Eren: 'Petra Rall, 10 kills and 48 assists. Oruo Bozad, 39 kills, and 9 assists. They're as elite as they become.'

Eren then saw the other members.

Eren: 'Eld Gin. 14 kills, and 32 assists. Gunther Schultz. 7 kills, and 40 assists. Each is an accomplished Scout personally handpicked by Captain Levi. And, also, they're the people who'll end up killing me if I ever go out of control.' '

But Eren doubts something that horrifies him... Not just him but everyone. Their greatest horrifying doubt that places in their hearts like a nail in a coffin; a doubt that's more than just Titans eating them or invading the Walls. 

Eren: 'However... they can't reach Y/n's level.'

Eren sees him, doing writing on his journal and observes.

Eren: 'Y/n L/n, aliases Vidar and 00. Mostly named himself 00; uncountable kills and assists. He's a soldier who holds nothing back when in combat whether in his Gundam or not. He's also able to easily take me out as well if I get out of control or if all of the people, even close to him don't trust him anymore... That includes me.'

Eld and Gunther stops to look at their old HQ who's in ruins after a battle.

Gunther: There are weeds everywhere.

Eld: This place has gone to hell and back...

Gunther: It hasn't been used in a long time. I bet it's plenty of dust on the inside too.

Levi: That's a serious problem. Let's get to work at once.

Few minutes later 

They begun their HQ clean up, starting to the offices then the windows outside and then the rest are on the floors and stairs.

Eren: I've finished cleaning upstairs. Where in this facility am I to sleep, sir? 

Levi: You room's in the basement. Y/n's is nearby my squad, except it has traps when he tries to do somethign funny..

Eren: The basement... again?

Levi: Of course. You don't have full control of yourself. Should you turn into a Titan in your sleep, we can keep you restrained right there in the basement. That was one of the conditions I was given when I took custody of you two. It's a rule we have to follow. Y/n is in full control so however he likes but he still needed to be secured just to make sure. I'll go check your work. You take over here, Eren.

Eren: Yes, sir.

Eren has a frown on his face after saying that they will be in the basement. Petra suddenly sees Eren and consults him.

Petra: You look disappointed, Eren. 

Eren: *startled* Huh?!

Petra: Oh, I hope you don't mind if I call you "Eren" like Captain Levi does. He sets the rules here.

Eren: I see. I don't mind but did I look disappointed just now?

Petra: It's not an unusual reaction.  He's not quite the great, perfect hero society makes him out to be, huh? The real Captain Levi is shorter than you'd expect, temperamental, crude, and unsociable.

Eren: No, what surprises me is how serious he is about adhering to the higher-ups' arrangement. I can't compare him to Y/n though.

Petra: You thought that because he's strong and skilled he didn't follow the rules like everyone else and Y/n? 

Eren: Right. I thought that he didn't take orders from anyone...  

Petra: I don't know the details myself, but I think he might've been like that at one time. They say before he joined the Scouts, Captain Levi was an infamous rogue in the capital's underground market.

Eren: So how did he...?

Petra: Beats me. I don't know what happened, but I hear he wound up being dragged into the Scouts after giving it to Commander Erwin. 

Eren: The commander?

Levi suddenly returns with Y/n at his side looks sweating.

Levi: Hey, Eren!

Eren: Y-Yes?!

Petra just returns back to cleaning. Levi's face is seriously mad at Eren.

Levi: This is completely unacceptable. Do it all over again. I'll let Y/n take over this one.

Y/n: Yes, sir.

Levi left and Eren complains on how.

Y/n: Just do what he says, besides now you'll get to know what is cleaning really is.

Later

Afternoon sets, Miche and Erwin started to talk about their upcoming expedition soon.

Miche: An expedition 30 days from now to establish a logistic base outside the wall... and newly-graduated rookies will be participating too? 

Erwin is outlining about their plans.

Erwin: Assuming any rookies do join us. 

Miche: Whatever the case, this all seems a bit too hasty if you ask me. 

Erwin: Eren and Y/n's treatment is only temporary. We need to demonstrate to the central powers as quickly as possible that their existence is beneficial for humankind. Otherwise, the Military Police or someone else will interfere again-

Miche: Are you using rhetoric on me too, Erwin?

Erwin looks at Miche and raises his brow.

Erwin: I see your nose is as sharp as ever, Miche.

Miche: Not as sharp as yours, though.

Erwin: *breathes* I'll fill you in when the time is right. 

Night

Everyone is drinking their tea after a long clean-up duty.

Eld: I assume our orders to remain on standby will last for a few more days, but I hear they're planning a major expedition beyond the wall 30 days from now.

Y/n: 'One month left, huh?'

Y/n secretly looks at his watch what date it is in real life.

October 2, 2026

Eld: And that fresh graduates are going to participate right off the bat too.

Gunther: Is that true, Eld? That seems pretty sudden to me, especially since rookies already had to endure this latest Titan attack.

Oruo: I bet those brats were scared out of their wits.

Petra: Is this true, Sir?

Levi: I;m not in charge of coming up with missions. Y/n, what do you think of this?

Y/n simply takes another gulp of tea and speaks.

Y/n: Not really sure whether it's true or not, but if I know Commander Erwin very well, he's putting more thoughts into this carefully and the outcomes of it.

Eld: Indeed, there's never been a situation like this before. So many lives were lost establishing a route to reclaim Wall Maria. Just when it seemed like it went up in smoke, suddenly a different hope has presented itself.

He looks at Eren and Y/n. Eren just gasped at his gaze and everyone else, but Y/n simply looks at them.

Eld: It's still hard to believe, but how does this "changing into a Titan" thing work anyway, Eren?

Eren answers it with all honesty 

Eren: My memories of it aren't very clear, but it's like being in a trance... I set it off by inflicting self-harm, though. I take my hand like so and...

But then he thought about how did he set it off.

Eren: 'Come to think of it, why is this the only thing I know?'

Petra then asked Y/n about his Gundam.

Petra: Speaking of changing into a Titan. Y/n?

Y/n: Hm?

Petra: How did you even try to transform and control that Gundam of yours? Did you like bite your hand or something else?

Y/n: Hm. It's complicated. 

Levi: You guys know you can't get any more info out of them than what's in the reports. Not that she won't try, of course. *sips and puts it back on the table* Better hope you two don't end up dead when she tinkers with you both.

Eren: Huh? Who's "she"?!

Y/n: Oh... *clicks his tongue* her.

Suddenly a loud bang came to the doors and almost loosening the plank that's locking it.

Petra just unlocks it and an exhausted Hange came inside.

Hange: Good evening, members of the Levi Squad! How is castle life treating you?

Levi: You're early.

Hange: I just couldn't help myself!

Eren: Section Commander Hange... 

Y/n: Yep, she's the one.

Hange: Sorry for the wait, you guys! I'm actually in charge of examining 2 Titans we caught in town. I'd like you two to help with my experiments tomorrow, so I came to get your permissions.

Eren: Experiments? What would I have to do?

Hange: Why... *fingers twitching and blushes* the most exhilarating thing of all, of course!

Hange's face tells it all. She wanted to know everything not just Eren's Titan but Y/n's titan as well.

Eren: U-Umm, I'm not in a position to give permission myself. I don't have authority over myself, you see...

Hange asked Levi then to solve this issue.

Hange: Levi! What are Eren's and Y/n's plans for tomorrow?

Levi: Eren, cleaning the garden. Y/n, polishing the blades.

Hange: Great! It's decided!

Hange grabbed their hands and had a dedicated smile.

Hange: Eren, Y/n! I look forward to tomorrow!

Eren: Uh... right.

Y/n: Just... if you do on me. Please learn to control.

Eren: By the way, what kind of Titan experiments are we talking about here?

Hange: Hmm?

Eren is startled by this and Y/n knows what this means.

Y/n: 'Eren... don't try that-' 

Eren: Err... As I said, what kind of experiments are we...

Y/n: 'again...'

Oruo: Hey, stop! Don't ask that!

Hange had released a different aura around her.

Y/n: 'Uh oh...'

Hange: Ah... I knew it... I thought you might be curious enough to ask...

The others left him including Y/n. For the rest of the night Hange just fed everything she know about Titans.

2 hours later

Y/n is writing in his journal and watching at the night sky when suddenly he sees Eren walking back to the room.

Y/n: Looks like he's tired after all that explanation. I just hope Hange isn't unconscious after getting too hype.

Next day

They heard the news about the test subjects. They immediately rushed over there to see what happened. Hange is over there screaming in panic. They were muttering about the test subjects. But Survey Corps has other thoughts about it.

Gunther: Did on of the soldiers do it?

Eld: Yeah, we don't know who yet. They were both killed at the same time before dawn. By the time the watchmen noticed, they'd used their Maneuver Gear to get away.

Gunther: So, this was a deliberate plan, involving 2 or more people...

Eren and Y/n are hiding in their coats and hoodie to see what happened.

Y/n: 'Someone is clearly not letting them know about the Titans. It's as if someone doesn't want to see the mystery.'

Oruo: Look... Squad Leader Hange's gone nuts.

Petra shouldered him to the guts for not taking any sympathy to Hange's state at all.

Eren: What is this?

Levi: Let's go. It's up to the Military Police now.

Eren: R-Right.

Levi left to go and return to base. But suddenly, Erwin creeps behind the two.

Erwin: What do you see? 

Eren slightly gasped at Erwin's sudden intervene.

Erwin: Who do you think the enemy is?

Eren is getting scared at this point on and Erwin apologizes.

Erwin: I'm sorry to ask something so odd.

Eren felt ominous and odd at Erwin's presence. As the wind blows to them.

All of the squad is standing near the tent where his machine resides.

Hange: I-I... I can't wait to do this!

Hange is just bursting with joy as she's excited to see the Gundam for the first time which in consideration, the Military decided to put the Gundam nearby the Scouts' HQ, orders from Nile who's still scared after what happened at the trial.

Hange and the others are standing near the tarp covered Gundam.

Hange: Can you feel the anticipation, Moblit?! Within a few seconds, we'll be stepping in and seeing the Gundam firsthand! 

Moblit is holding his sides after Hange pulled him while running to the tarp.

Moblit: I'm sorry, Captain... but all I feel is my sides hurt from all that running.

Hange just simply laughs and slaps his back which it didn't help Moblit at all as he just kneeled down form that slap.

Hange: Don't be such a baby!

The squad began to just look at the tarp, with Y/n who's now in front of it with a smile on his face. 

Petra: Is this it? 

Y/n: Yep.

Y/n began to pull off the tarp only to see that it's nothing. They just gasped at the view, there's literally nothing.

Oruo: Huh? Where is it?

Y/n: Oh... I forgot.

Y/n rolled his sleeves and they saw what's that at his arm. Y/n simply tapped it and it began to slowly disengage the optical camouflage.

Eld: Is that-

Y/n: Yep.

Hange: Is it really-

Y/n: Yep.

It then disengages the optical camouflage and it finally showed the Gundam in full glory.

Moblit: W-Whoa...

Levi: So... this is your Gundam? 

They're finally standing in front of the Gundam 00 Core. Thought they have seen it in more than one occasion, neither of them were able to properly view the thing up close properly due to various issues. 

The only time it appeared is during the failed expedition nearly half a decade ago, and it was covered in shadows the whole time, next is when the Fall of Maria occurred, it has the Seven Sword armor managed to knock out the Armoured Titan with a GN Buster Sword and rescued the civilians at a strange container.

Finally, more recently, during the Trost incident, though it's moving fast even though the sun striking at the Gundam to see it's details.

To see it cloaked and it's system is off at their eye sights... It was enough to forget about the doubts of the elite squad for a short while except for Levi and Hange. They simply looked at the being that inspired so many tales, myths, legends and rumors to have been created.

Hange began to touch it

Hange: A-Amazing *smiling with lust for knowledge* This is the full look of it, I'M WANT TO KNOW MORE!!!!

Moblit: Please be careful, Hange!

Y/n: Calm down. It's not powered on until I was inside it.

Hange just started to take notes of the 00 CORE. Though it was visually stunning, she found the true beauty of the Gundam part which it was not so easily seen. One of them is the GN-Sword 3, which the blade is on the underside of the unit's right forearm. 

Examining it closely, she noticed how several parts seemed to be able to move in conjunction to one another, including the Twin Drives. It also seemed capable of changing from a mid-range combat to a CQC, all thanks to a transformation mechanism is adopted to reduce as much as possible the number of equipment carried by the Gundam, increasing its flexibility.

Hange suddenly climbed at the top of it's shoulder and called out to Y/n.

Hange: I wanna see how this works! Get over here!

Hange said that with hyper-addiction of getting to know the Gundam. Y/n simply sighs and presses the button on his wristwatch to open the cockpit.

Hange: Not bad for a rookie.

Y/n began tugged on the gear attached to his waist. Everyone present felt rather confused at first, though after a few seconds, Hange felt a light bulb turned on in her head.

Hange: Hey is that really a-

Y/n detaches the gear and shoved it inside the cockpit before Hange could even finish.

Hange: -smart thing to do.

Y/n: You want to see how this works. I can't get in with these massive gear getting the cockpit wall scratched.

Then he simply gets inside the cockpit. Hange follows up with him. When they get inside she saw the cockpit design.

Green colors and grids everywhere. 3 monitors black, and two floating controllers for the controls of the Gundam.

Hange: A-Amazing... so this is what you see whenever you pilot the Gundam?

Y/n: Yep. It's always like this when I'm inside it.

Then she heard a roaring sound, indicating it's now powered on. She then saw the monitor turned on.

Meanwhile outside the Scouts are inspecting the Gundam's weaponry and frame.

Gunther: This thing is made from some form of high strength metal. If anything, it's probably stronger than the Super Hard Steel Alloy we use to make our blades.

Petra is brushing her hand against the side of the Gundam's GN-Sword III. 

Petra: Judging from it's appearance, it looks as though that whatever reason the blade is green is capable of cutting through anything.

Oruo: An Anti-Titan blade with a green-colored blade? Sounds dangerous. Sign me up.

Oruo said it  with sarcasm, not believing the capability of the weapon. But before Petra could chastise him, they heard something loud, to say the least. 

The sound of shifting metal was unmistakable, and considering how loud it was, everyone at the area couldn't help but turn and stare at it's source. The 00 CORE, with Petra rushing out of the sword's blade. They see the cockpit shut  itself.

Levi: *sighs* What did Hange do this time?

Eren: Sir, I don't think Hange did anything this time.

Suddenly they heard a loud rushing noise.

This caught them off guard, despite it still being rather bright out, the blue glow on it's optics was not mistaken to everyone who could see it, prompting them to step back in shock. Seconds later they saw it's GN Drives, running in power, emitting GN Particles.

They can't help but feel relief when they looked at it's particles. Before Petra could do anything. Levi stops her.

Levi: Hold.

After that, nothing happened.

Inside the cockpit, Hange has a face of awe how there's particles appearing inside the cockpit.

Hange: Don't you mind if I have a look.

Y/n just let her be by moving aside to let Hange see the controls. Hange smirks as she flexed her fingers and reached for the left control. She then moved the stick and the arm raises i the monitor view.

Hange: Convenient...

Hange tried the next one and it had the same result.

Hange: Amazing! To control something so advanced in a simple way...

Hange took sometime to get used to moving the arm. When suddenly she saw the button on the right.

Hange: What's this...

Before she could even interact with it. Y/n shot his hand forward to stop her form making a terrible mistake.

Y/n: Don't touch that. It connects to the main weapon, the sword itself.

But suddenly she accidentally presses the button for external comms.

Y/n: Not that, Hange.

Outside they can hear Y/n who's mad at Hange and they argued until he finally presses the button to make it stop.

Y/n: *sigh* You done?

Hange: Nope.

Y/n just sits there and groans.

Y/n: This is gonna be a long one.
