The Next Day

On top of Wall Rose, Eren can be seen cleaning a cannon as he wielded an iron bar and cleaned the inside of the cannon so that it was prepared to fire at the Titans at will. As he cleaned it, he couldn't help but wonder why Commander Shadis wanted to talk to Clayde after the ceremony since his friend didn't show up for the afterparty.

He and Armin relayed this information to the other cadets and while some of were or rather most of them were worried for Clayde's wellbeing, some of them muttered that he was finally going to be put into an asylum. That sparked conflict between Eren, Mikasa, Krista, Sasha, Mina and Marco against the other cadets but they had to keep quiet about everything.

Soon after that, Thomas asked Eren what regiment he was going for and he replied with The Scouts as the lad was shocked and belated him that humanity couldn't win against the Titans.

"We can't win against them! Everytime we try to fight, we die! We can't win!" Thomas argued as everyone in the room was now looking at the exchange between the two of them.

"So what? You're just gonna give up?! All those deaths that occured five years ago meant nothing to you guys?! Those titans killed my mother and they are all going to pay for it!" Eren yelled out angrily.

Everyone looked down at that until Eren continued, "Clayde said the same thing as well."

At that statement, everyone looked at him in surprise.

"Three years ago, he asked me if I had the chance to make a difference and save everyone, would I take it. I answered obviously but then he specified if that chance presented itself to me already but I didn't take it and that resulted in death... well it did, I lost my mother because I made the wrong choice." Eren spoke bitterly as Krista's eyes widened as she remembered that she asked that same question to Clayde.

"Clayde also made the wrong choice when he chose to face off against the Titan that tried to kill him, his mother and his dog when he could've escaped and gotten both of them out alive. He made the wrong choice and that resulted in both of them dead, me and him promised that we will join the Scouts and make that chance present itself to us again and we're damn well gonna make the choice this time!!!" Eren yelled with fury in his eyes.

All the graduated cadets looked at him in shock before Eren walked and went outside to get some air.

He shook his head as he found himself still cleaning the same cannon for about three minutes before he moved to another one and that was when he noticed someone cleaning the cannon as his eyes widened when he recognized who it was.

"Connie?!" Eren yelled in disbelief, "I thought you were going to join the MP, that was your whole thing?!"

"Relax, a guy's allowed to change his mind, alright?" Connie muttered.

"I think your speech yesterday lit a fire in him." Mina said as she walked up to them with her hands behind her back.

"Ain't nobody talking to you!" Connie retorted.

"Well he's not the only one." Thomas said as he walked up to them as Eren looked at him shock.

"You too?"

"Eren, what you said last night sparked some doubt in our choices but it was ultimately when you brought up your talk with Clayde on how you two want the chance to save everyone and you two are going to make it happen, that put the nail on the coffin for me." Thomas said as he scratched his head.

"What he's trying to say is that a lot of cadets are reconsidering their choices." Connie summarized.

"Well it was mainly because most cadets don't want to look weak next to a handicapped cadet." Thomas thought as Connie poked his metal rod at him.

"Watch it." Connie warned him.

"He's not handicapped!" Mina yelled defensively as all the cadets jumped in surprise but calmed down before Sasha walked up to them.

"Can you guys keep a secret? Because I totally just raided the officer's pantry." Sasha said happily as she pulled out a chunk of meat on hook and it was steaming as she drooled with red face.

"Are you crazy, Sasha?!" Connie yelled in fear.

"You're going to get your ass thrown in a dungeon for that!" Eren added.

"Relax guys, just think about it... once we take back what's ours, we can start a farm and have plenty of meat to eat." Sasha said as she put the meat in a chest before gaining a blissful look on her face, "Just think of the sandwiches!"

Soon enough, Thomas began to crack before he spoke, "If I may say, I would like some of that meat!"

"Me too!" Connie added.

"I would like some as well!" Mina pitched in before Eren looked at everyone in disbelief but he began to smile.

"Alright now come on, we better get back to work before someone notices us!" Connie said as he went back to his cannon.

"See you guys at lunch!" Mina said before walking off as Eren looked over the town of Trost with a determined gaze.

"A lot has changed since five years ago, we're ready this time and we will fight to protect everyone within these walls!" Eren thought as he clenched his fists and smirked before the winds picked up suspiciously and stopped suddenly before a massive yellow lightning bolt struck from the heavens and hit the ground behind Eren as it illuminated the area yellow for a second a monstrous figure appeared behind the wall.

The massive head of Colossal Titan was glowering at them as Eren turned around and his eyes widened in shock along with everyone else on top of the wall. Nobody moved for about five seconds before the titan released a hot blast of steam that gushed and swept all of the cadets off their feet and they all fell off the wall.

Using their ODM gear, they all caught themselves and swung onto the side of the wall but one cadet was falling from the sky and was not doing anything as he was unconscious.

"Samuel!" Sasha yelled before she gave herself slack on the wire and chased after him with her hook still in the wall.

"Sasha!" Mina cried out.

Sasha ran down the wall before using her hook and fired it with precision based accuracy as it stabbed itself straight into Samuel's shin and he dangled in the air dangerously as Sasha made sure he didn't fall.

"Try not to move around too much!" She called out to him, hoping he can hear her.

Eren looked at the steam in shock before a loud BOOM! Snapped him out of it as he looked down below and saw that the titan kicked a hole through the hole, which meant Titans were going to come through any second.

His eyes narrowed angrily and he yelled out, "This is it people! Prepare yourselves and attack the Colossal Titan! This is what we trained for!!!"

Eren swung himself upwards and spun in the air before landing back on top of the wall as he glared at the Colossal with fierce eyes as he saw that it was looking at him from the corner of its eyes.

"It's been awhile.... BUT IT ENDS HERE!!!" Eren yelled angrily as he catapulted himself towards the Titan as it swung its massive arm in a powerful but slow manner as Eren jumped over it with his gear easily but the arm knocked off the cannons.

"It knocked the cannons off the wall! Which means we can't shoot the Titans down easily, this thing has intelligence?!" Eren thought in disbelief as it turned to look at him as he was in midair before swinging its other arm.

Attaching a hook to its shoulder, Eren jumped through the fingers before running along with its arm with his blades ready in his hand as he jumped and fired a hook at the nape before swinging his way over quickly and reared his blades back as he prepared to slash it deeply enough to kill it.

Before he got close, the Titan emitted a powerful gust of steam which stopped Eren dead in his tracks as he strained against the gust before he clicked a button on his gear and it reeled his wire in as he got close to the nape as he roared and slashed.... Nothing?

"I missed?!" Eren thought in disbelief as the Colossal Titan completely disappeared with the only proof that it was there was the two massive footprints in the ground near the wall. Landing on the wall, Eren looked at the spot in confusion before Thomas called down to him.

"Eren, what happened?! Did you kill it?!" He yelled.

"No! It was the same as five years ago, it kicked a hole in the wall before disappearing like it wasn't even there!" Eren yelled back.

"How the hell did it disappear into thin air? No Titan can do that, especially not one of that size!" Eren thought as he looked down and saw Titans were beginning to make their way to the hole in the wall.

Returning to the top, Eren looked down in shame as Thomas looked at him while Connie peered down at the oncoming horde.

"I'm sorry, I should've killed it." Eren apologized.

"Dude, no apology needed. Look at the rest of us, we were frozen in fear and we couldn't do anything." Thomas replied before Connie turned to the two of them.

"Hey! Cry on your own time! If we don't hurry then the Titans are going to invade Trost!" Connie yelled which shook Eren out of his grief before a ranking officer of the Garrison landed on top of the wall.

"Cadets! Report back to HQ immediately for instructions, anyone who got close to the damn thing, report what you saw!" He ordered as the three cadets saluted valiantly.

"Sir!!!" Eren, Thomas and Connie replied.

"The advance team will handle the Titans, under no circumstances that any Titans enter Trost District!" He yelled before he ran over and jumped to the other side.

"Yes sir! We pray that the advance team is successful sir!" Connie hoped before all three cadets began to make their way to HQ.

Thirty Minutes Earlier

Clayde yawned as he woke up from his bed before a knock came from his room door. Last night, Erwin told him that they would leave for The Scouts HQ tomorrow morning and that it was best for him to get some sleep... and that's what he did so he rented a room nearby and flopped down on the soft bed.

Now he was awake and it was time to go as he got on his clothes and made his way downstairs as he was greeted with Erwin sitting in a wagon pulled by two horses.

"Morning cadet, are you ready?" Erwin asked as Clayde hopped into the wagon and propped his legs up in a comfortable position.

"I'll take that as a yes." Erwin replied before ushering the horses to begin moving.

About twenty-five minutes into the trip, they were nearly there when a large yellow lightning bolt arched through the sky near Wall Rose as Clayde saw it and looked in the direction of it as Erwin turned around sharply and knew what it had to mean.

"Oh shit... TITAN KILLING TIME!!!" Clayde yelled as he readied his ODM gear and was about to swing but Erwin shouted.

"We need to regroup with the scouts!"

"It'll be too late."

"Clayde, trust me! We'll make it back in time!" Erwin tried to convince him but Clayde shook his head.

"I don't fucking believe you." Was his reply before he launched himself off the wagon and began making his way to the wall as fast as he could. Erwin wanted to yell at him but stopped himself, the scouts help will be required either way and the best move he could do right now is to keep going.

"Goddamn it Clayde... don't make me regret this." Erwin muttered angrily as he forced the horses to run faster.

Present

Clayde swung through the city as the metal bell gonged and rang loudly as he looked down below and saw that people were evacuating Trost. Swinging with renewed vigor, Clayde expertly ran across the rooftops before jumping to another one with powerful jumps and swinging when he had to.

He saw the smoke which meant the Colossal Titan had busted another hole there and Titans were probably coming through by the dozens. Although he wanted to kill the Titans, he needed to conserve gas otherwise he wasn't going to be able to kill the Titans.

"Fuck man... wait, I got an idea!" Clayde yelled excitingly before he changed direction towards HQ.

Meanwhile

The graduated cadets were lined up and were listening to the orders of Captain Woermann who had an oval shaped face and a lot of facial hair along with a paranoid but angry look on his face.

"Just use what you learned in training. Split into groups! I am here to tell you that the advance team has failed and Titans are now swarming the city!" He reported as some cadets muttered to each other in fear before he yelled, "SILENCE!!!"

"All of you will be backup to the Vanguard who will confront the Titans head on as the first line of defense! The Middle Guard will be the second line of defense in case any Titans slipped through the Vanguard and the Rearguard will house our most elite soldiers to protect the civilians from any Titans!"

"Remember, you're goal is to hold off the Titans until the evacuation is complete, dismissed!" Woermann finished as the cadets went to their respective positions.

Most of the cadets sat down and began praying as some were shivering in fear as Jean passed them as he muttered to himself worriedly, "Why did this had to happen now? Just one more day and I'll be in the interior."

As he was walking he didn't notice Eren until he bumped into him before shoving him out the way.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Eren said in anger.

"Well I don't wanna die but I bet you're loving this you psychotic lunatic!" Jean retorted.

"Jean, get a grip!" Eren shouted.

"I was about to be in the interior and live a normal life until this shit had to happen, the Titans just had to invade Trost!" Jean complained angrily before Eren grabbed the collar of his uniform and shoved him against a pillar.

"Look, what about all that training we went through, huh?! We've been through hell before... we can do it again for just one more day and then tomorrow you'll go to the interior. You can do this, Jean, for god's sake, pull yourself together!" Eren ordered as he released Jean's collar as the cadet looked at him before walking off.

"Eren." Mikasa called to him as he turned to look at her.

"Yeah?"

"When the fighting happens, I want you to come find me."

"What? Why?! You'll be in a whole different group?!" Eren asked in disbelief.

"Plans fall apart in battle, you need to come find me so I can protect you." Mikasa replied as Eren looked at her angrily.

"Who do you think I am?!" He demanded angrily before the captain of the Reaguard called out to her.

"Ackerman, you're with me. We should get into position now and help out with the evacuation efforts." He ordered but Mikasa began to protest.

"But sir, I'll just slow them down!" Mikasa replied as Eren looked at her in disbelief.

"I didn't ask for your opinion on your skills, an order is an order." He stated before walking away.

"Sir! With due resp-!" Mikasa tried to call out but Eren headbutted her which made her stop and rub it as her eyes watered a bit as he glared at her.

"Hey! Get a grip, that was a direct order! Pull yourself together and stop worrying about me! I don't need you to protect me so stop worrying about me and worry about all those people you have to protect!" Eren commanded.

Mikasa sniffled a bit before she composed herself, "You're right, I'm sorry, I let my emotions get ahead of me... but Eren, promise me one thing... Don't die."

Eren didn't say anything but he pulled away from her and walked off as Mikasa looked at him worriedly before an image of Clayde flashed in her mind as she widened her eyes.

"Clayde, I hope you're safe."

Ten Minutes Later

Eren and Armin stood on a rooftop as they looked at the wall where the hole was as Armin was sweating drastically with nervousness and fear enveloping his entire body.

"Just think about it Armin." Eren said as the blond looked at him, "Once we do this and join the scouts, we'll rise high in the ranks of the Scouts, probably high enough to lead our own regiment!"

Eren looked at Armin with determination and excitement on his face as he widened his eyes at the statement and closed them before looking at his friend with determination.

"Sounds good." Armin replied.

"Now now boys, save some of the glory for us." Mina chided as Thomas Wagner, Mylius Zeramuski and Nac Tias were behind her.

"You got a one up last time but not this time, how about a little challenge?" Thomas proposed as everyone looked at him curiously.

"The cadet to get the most titan kills gets bragging rights." Thomas gloated as Eren grinned.

"Oh its on!" Eren accepted before one of the Garrison lookouts called to their group.

"Middle Guard Group 1! The Vanguard needs assistance!" He called out as Eren looked at his team and unsheathed his blades before raising them up high.

"TO VICTORY!!!" Eren yelled as the team took up his war cry before they charged to the frontlines as they used their ODM gear and began making their way across the city as they swung through the air at high speeds while running on the rooftops to conserve gas.

As they got closer to where the Vanguard were, they began to see dead bodies and blood stains along with many titans towering over the tallest of buildings.

"The Titans are everywhere!" Mina yelled in shock.

"At this rate, they'll take over Trost!" Mylius agreed.

Eren kept on swinging before he noticed a blond titan was staring at them before it jumped at them.

"Aberrant! Pull back!" He shouted as the Titan slammed into the tower they just passed as Eren landed on a roof and almost fell off but he grabbed the ledge in time as the rest of the team landed on the same roof and looked at the Titan.

Its arms and legs were wrapped around the tower before its head leaned and looked at them as it had Thomas's lower body in his mouth as the cadet's eyes were wide with fear. The team looked on in shock as the Titan swallowed him whole before jumping off the tower and began walking away.

Eren looked at the sight in shock and horror before his face turned to one of anger as he yelled, "IM GONNA KILL YOU!!!" before firing his ODM gear and swinging after the Aberrant.

"Eren wait!" Armin cried out before following him. Mina looked at the other nervously before following also along with the rest of the team.

Eren swung and gassed up his speed as he closed the distance between him and the Titan as he prepared to slash its nape but he didn't notice a smaller titan jumping up from below and biting his leg clean off as he stumbled and crashed into a roof painfully and did not stir.

"Eren!" Armin yelled as he went to save his friend but then a whole group of titans appeared in the block that the team were swinging through as a titan slapped Nac out of the air as blood splurted beside Mina as she screamed in horror.

"No!!!" She screamed out before a wide eyed short titan grabbed her wire and pulled her as she lost balance in the air and slammed into a wall as she groaned in pain before she shook it off and her eyes widened as the titan was now staring at her creepily.

Armin was looking at all of this in shock as he watched Mylius struggle in the hands of a Titan as he cried out, "I don't wanna die! Please, don't! Please! GAAAA-!"

A loud SQUELCH! Sound was heard as Armin fell to his knees before another scream drew his attention as he saw a Titan pick up Mina in it's hands as she struggled to break free as she cried out to him.

"Armin! Please help me! Please!" Mina begged as the Titan opened its mouth but Armin didn't move as he watched the scene in horror.

Mina struggled and screamed as her legs flailed as her head was put against the Titan's lower jaw and she felt the upper jaw press against her bare neck as pressure began to apply before it suddenly slackened and a loud groan emitted from its throat as spit and saliva covered her face before the Titan fell over and released Mina as she scrambled away from it. Mina saw that the nape of the Titan was sliced wide open and looked at Armin but he hasn't moved... so who did it?

"COME AND GET SOME!!!" Clayde yelled out psychotically as he zipped through the air with his blades shining as a small seven meter Titan jumped to catch him. Meeting the Titan head on, Clayde swung both his blades in an X-Shape as he sliced the arms along with its upper jaw clean off as blood splurted all over him before slicing the nape.

He landed beside Mina who looked at him in shock as he smirked at her, "Looks like I got here just in the nick of time, eh?"

"Thank you!" Mina cried out as she hugged him tightly as Clayde felt the Titan spit stain his clothes but didn't say anything before he looked and saw a bald titan was about to eat Armin. Thinking quickly, Clayde ripped his Garrison coat off and handed it to Mina before zipping to the Titan as it held Armin in its hand.

"DIE YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!" Clayde yelled as he sliced the nape of the Titan before it could eat Armin as the blond fell to the ground as Clayde landed on his feet.

"You good, Armin?" He asked as Armin looked up at him and than at something behind him before he screamed and rushed forward.

"EREN, NOOO!!!" Armin yelled as Clayde turned around to see Eren trying to prevent a Titan from closing its jaw on him and he made eye contact with Clayde one last time before it chomped down on him as his arm sprayed and shot forward before landing at Clayde's feet.

The Titan was ugly before it began to scramble away from the scene and down the empty block as Clayde's mind flooded with anger and madness as he yelled and pulled his hair hard which made Armin and Mina look at him in fear.

From where the Titan fled, about seven more titans came into view before they saw the three humans and began making there way towards them with two of them running.

"You two get the fuck out of here." Clayde said darkly as he walked towards the Titans with both blades in his hands.

"No Clayde! You'll die!" Mina yelled as she grabbed one of his arms while Armin grabbed the other.

"We need to get out of here!" Armin yelled but Clayde used his strength and threw them off as he glowered at them, Mina shook off the impact and froze when she saw Clayde's face as Titan blood steamed on it but he had the look of a madman on his face with a wide smile to add to it.

"This city is mine, these streets are mine and I am going to stain it with Titan Blood to prove who owns it!!!" Clayde shouted psychotically before he launched himself towards the Titan horde as he raised his blades and sliced the two charging Titans' napes.

Utilizing his gas, Clayde charged towards the other four titans with a wide smile on his face, "FOR THE LOVE OF THE HUNT!!!"

Mina prepared to go after him but Armin pulled her arm to prevent her from leaving as she looked at him in disbelief.

"Mina, we need to regroup with the others!" Armin pleaded as Mina pulled her arm away from him before glaring at him angrily.

"Why didn't help me or anyone else in the team?! Now they're all dead!" Mina yelled in anger as Armin had tears pouring out of his eyes as he fell to his knees and sobbed out loudly.

"I couldn't move at all! All my life, I had people fighting my battles and I promised myself that I would fight alongside them but I can't do it! The chance to make a difference and save lives came to me and I made the wrong choice!" Armin cried out as Mina looked down at him before looking in Clayde's direction.

Armin cried before he heard the sound of Mina's ODM gear going off as he looked up and saw her zipping after Clayde. He widened his eyes and reached out his hand towards her.

"WAIT, MINA DON'T LEAVE ME, PLEASE!!! DON'T LEAVE MEEEEE!!!!"

The cry echoed throughout the block as Mina heard it but ignored it as she focused chasing after Clayde as the cadet sliced through the napes of the oncoming Titans as Mina dodged the falling bodies as Clayde continued to chase after the Titan that took Eren.

As she continued to swing, a Titan came out from the side and swung its hand to grab her as her eyes widened. Making a deep right turn, she swung out of range before swinging back at the Titan and slicing the nape before it fell down to the ground as she looked back at Clayde but he was long gone.

"No..." Mina muttered before feeling Clayde's cadet coat that he gave her as she looked back where Armin was.

She couldn't leave him there even if he didn't help her, she just had to hope that Clayde will make it back alive. Turning around, Mina began to swing her way back to Armin but not before glancing behind her in the direction Clayde has gone.

"Clayde come back to us... please." Mina prayed to herself.

Meanwhile

"Get back here and play!!!" Clayde yelled at the running Titan who was jumping from building to building as it moved at fast speeds on its two legs while using its hands to grasp ledges and jump to the next one.

Clayde utilized his gas and pushed himself to go even faster as his eyes darted to a tower that the Titan was about to pass. Hanging from the ledge of the tower was two cylinders along with a new set of blades and they were gleaming right at him as he grinned. His gas was getting low and he could feel it wheezing on him.

Before he hit the battlefield, Clayde raided the Armory and snatched a bunch of gas and blades without anyone noticing before scattering them around Trost to where he can easily access them.

The Titan ran past the tower and continued onward before Clayde swung downward and propelled himself upward and used all the gas he had left to slingshot into the air where the backup gear was. Releasing his empty canisters and dull blades, Clayde grabbed the blades and the canisters as he slingshotted pass them as he worked furiously to attach them appropriately.

Sliding in the canisters, he quickly pressured the tubes and connected them as he reached the peak of his flight before he began falling back down to the ground. If he didn't hurry up then he will hit the ground and die.

"A little more..." Clayde murmured as he nearly finished connecting the second canister before the proper CLICK! Was heard as he grinned before unsheathing new blades and pressing the trigger as his grapple hook shot out and he swung before he hit the ground as his empty canisters and his dull blades hit the ground and he continued the pursuit.

"HOLD ON EREN!!!" Clayde yelled as he poured on the speed as he began closing the distance on the Titan as it looked at him before continuing forward before it roared loudly as it echoed throughout Trost as other cadets from different areas froze in fear of the roar.

Clayde was confused as to why the Titan roared like that but continued swinging after it as he won't give up on Eren. He couldn't be dead but if he was, than he will kill Titan that ate him.

As the Titan approached a wide area with a fountain in the middle, four other titans appeared; one of them was crawling on four legs, another was blond and fat, another was skinny and had a big nose, another was small and wrinkly. The Titan Clayde was chasing spat something out of his mouth and Clayde's eyes widened when he saw what it was... it was Eren's unconscious body, flailing in the air before the four legged titan caught him in his mouth before leading the way forward as the four titans followed it.

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!" Clayde yelled in disbelief and in anger before increasing his speed as he chased down the five titans.

"Intelligent or not, they're not getting away with my friend!!!" Clayde thought angrily as he swung past buildings and ran on the rooftops before swinging again.

Suddenly, the four legged titan along with three other Titans took different directions, left, right, right, left while the fourth one turned around and leapt at Clayde with its mouth open. Using more gas, Clayde roared before leaping into the Titan's mouth and swinging his body along with his blades in circles as he hit the back of its mouth and sliced through the nape clean as he decapitated the Titan's head before swinging high into the air.

Getting an aerial view, he saw the four legged Titan heading to the left and immediately gave chase. Swinging from the buildings and going at speeds of over 50 mph, Clayde felt the wind push against him but he kept going as he chased the Titan down but something nagged at the back of his mind, why did they chose to split up?

After about a minute, Clayde was now about sixty feet from the running Titan before a commotion to his right drew his attention as he looked. The fat blonde Titan was running on a street that parallel to the one they were running on as the buildings they passed obscured each other from the other's vision for a split second as it was looking directly at him.

When both of them passed another building, the Titan jumped over to the street Clayde was on and landed in front of him before running away from him. This feat of intelligence was starting to piss Clayde off immensely and he went faster before shooting his hook as it attached to the Titan's nape before he swiftly cut into it deeply and got it out of his way before his eyes widened.

The four legged Titan... was gone.

Meanwhile

The squads that the graduated Cadets were apart of were now together as they were on a rooftop with very little gas as they were in fear and didn't know what to do exactly as the refueling team never came at all.

Jean was sitting by himself as he couldn't think at all as the Titans were devouring his comrades and he couldn't do anything about it at all. He just wanted to have a life in the interior, was that so much to ask?

The sound of an ODM gear drew his attention as Mikasa landed on the rooftop and looked around wildly before looking at Jean.

"Jean, where's Eren's unit?" She asked.

"I don't know, they didn't show up." Jean muttered bitterly as Mikasa looked around wildly before walking towards Annie.

"Annie, have you seen Eren's unit?" She asked.

"Haven't seen them." Annie replied as Mikasa looked at Reiner and Bertholdt and they shook their heads in confirmation, Eren's Unit hasn't showed up yet.

Controlling her breathing, Mikasa tried to relax as she made Eren promise that he was going to survive this. Perhaps they were on a different rooftop and were out of gas? Yeah, that had to be it.

These thoughts flooded her head before cadets began shouting and pointed at something as Mikasa looked and saw Armin and... Mina, was it? Swinging towards them before they landed on the rooftop with Armin collapsing to his knees in horror as he saw Mikasa walking towards him.

"Armin, are you alright? Where's Eren?" Mikasa questioned as Mina looked as if she wanted to say something but she walked away instead, leaving her full attention to Armin. Steeling his nerves, Armin spoke loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Of the unit I was apart of, Thomas Wagner, Mylius Zaramuski, Nac Tias... and Eren Jaeger all died valiantly in the line of duty!" Armin cried out as hot tears poured out of his eyes as Mikasa's eyes widened in shock as the other cadets looked at Armin in shock.

"Eren's dead?" Krista muttered in disbelief as Ymir shook her head but her eyes flickered sadly, 'Another one bites the dust.' She thought.

"No, you're joking right?" Connie asked in an attempt to give everyone hope but he lost it himself as he clenched his fists.

"What about Clayde?" Mikasa asked in an emotionless tone.

"Clayde went after the Titan that killed Eren." Mina spoke quietly as Mikasa looked at her before she helped Armin up and looked at everyone else.

"We need to infiltrate the Armory!" Mikasa announced as everyone looked at her like she was mad.

"We can't infiltrate it!" A cadet cried out.

"There's too many Titans and not enough gas!"

"Then you are all cowards! I am stronger than all of you and I will slay the Titans with or without your help and if I die... so be it." Mikasa spoke with confidence before a loud roar drew everyone's attention as it came from down the street of them.

A four legged Titan was coming towards them as it relentlessly came towards their direction.

"Titan!!!" A cadet screamed in horror as everyone got on their feet and readied their blades but most of their legs were shaking in fear. Mikasa readied herself before a familiar voice yelled out in anger.

"GET BACK HERE YOU FUCKING FUCK!!!"

Her eyes widened as Clayde was chasing the Titan down as he swung after it at high speeds as his face was contorted in anger as he glared at it with hatred and loath. His entire body was covered in blood as he swung after the Titan.

"What the hell is he doing?!" Jean yelled as Connie, Sasha, Krista, Reiner, Bertholdt, Annie, Armin, Mina, Marco and Mikasa went to the edge and looked as Clayde chased the Titan towards them.

"He's leading the Titan to us!" A cadet yelled in fear.

"No, the Titan's running towards us!" Armin deduced.

"But why?" Sasha asked.

"That's the question." Reiner replied as the Titan barreled past the building they were on before climbing to the side of another and jumped into the air.

"YOU'RE MINE!!!" Clayde yelled as he fired his hook at its nape and propelled himself towards it with his blades reared back and ready to swing.

From the corner of Armin's eye, another Titan that was skinny came into view and had his arms in the form of a catch as Armin's eyes widened.

"What...?" Armin thought in confusion before everyone's eyes widened as the four legged Titan spat out the unconscious body of Eren Jaeger as he was coated in spit as Clayde slashed the nape of the four legger before turning abruptly to catch Eren but he was too late as the skinny Titan caught Eren and stuffed him in his mouth before running in the direction he came from.

"COME ON, GIVE ME A FAT FUCKING BREAK ALREADY!!!" Clayde roared in anger before giving chase once more as he soon zoomed out of view.

"What the fuck just happened?!" Jean shouted in terror.

"Why did it just spit Eren out like that?!" Connie yelled.

"Why didn't they eat him?!" Sasha yelled.

"Why are they playing Monkey in the Middle with Eren?!" Marco asked in shock as Mikasa's eyes were wide open as she knew one thing from all this.... Eren was still alive.

Immediately, Mikasa jumped off the roof and swung after Clayde and the Titan as her eyes brimmed with rage and tears. She needed to help Clayde get Eren back and had to help him now.

"Wait Mikasa, your gas!!!" Armin shouted but the girl ignored him and continued to give chase.

"We need to get to the Armory." Jean said as Krista looked at him.

"We need to save Eren!" Krista protested.

"How can we do that when we have so little gas?!" Jean shouted at her as Ymir glared at him but took his side.

"He's right Krista, even if we wanted to help Clayde save Eren, we don't have the gas to afford it." Ymir replied.

"Mikasa is going to soon run out of gas and possibly Clayde too!" Sasha pointed out as Armin looked down thoughtfully before looking in the direction they've gone.

"I'll go after Mikasa and Clayde in case they run out of gas." Armin said, "The rest of you go for the Armory, without it, we won't last much longer."

"I'll come with you." Connie said as Armin nodded before both of them zipped after Mikasa and Clayde.

"Wait up!" Marco shouted before zipping after them as Mina followed as well.

"So what's it going to be?! Are we gonna die here like cowards or are we gonna give ourselves a chance for survival?!" Jean yelled before leading the charge towards the Armory as the cadets reluctantly followed his lead.

The rest of Clayde's friends looked at the direction their friends had gone before following Jean's lead and headed towards the Armory.

Hopefully they would meet their friends again.

Meanwhile

The skinny Titan ran like its life depended on it... because it did as an angry Clayde was chasing after him as he poured on the speed to get closer to the Titan to slash its nape. In regards to the other Titans that were apart of that little group, Clayde slaughtered all of them and now all that was left was this one and there was nowhere it could run after this.

Making sharp turns, the Titan tried to lose the Cadet that was chasing it but Clayde stayed hot on his tail as it kept Eren in its mouth before he felt him began to move on his tongue. Its eyes suddenly gained a yellow color to them for a split second before he swallowed Eren and he turned his head and roared at Clayde.

Clayde's eyes widened when he saw the Titan roaring at him and more importantly, Eren was nowhere to be seen... which meant the Titan swallowed him whole.

"You son of a bitch!!!" Clayde shouted before pouring on the speed before making a sharp right turn as the Titan turned to look at him again but didn't see him at all.

Now that it was clear, the Titan ran and jumped to the rooftops as he dodged buildings and ran through the streets as it was heading towards a specific destination as the location was embedded in its mind.

As it turned around to check and make sure it wasn't followed, it turned its head forward again before its eyes widened when it saw that Clayde was now swinging towards him and manuevered around to the back of its neck before slashing the nape deeply as the life left its eyes and it fell on its stomach as Clayde landed on its back as the body began to smoke.

"That's what I'm talking about!" Clayde grinned madly as he raised his blades up in victory and danced on the corpse. After his victory dance, Clayde stopped and looked down before he began slashing into the back of the Titan as blood splurted out and covered him but he didn't care, he had to get to Eren before he would be digested.

"Come on, I know you're still there!!!" Clayde shouted as the gash he slashed out grew deeper and deeper as the fumes from the wound grew hotter and more rancid before he stopped and panted as fatigue flooded into his muscles as he fell to his knees and was now using his bare hands to try and dig into the bloody flesh.

"Eren... come on, give me a sign that you're still alive, man." Clayde said tiredly as he reached down to peek into its stomach before a massive fist erupted from the hole and socked Clayde straight up into the air as the arm was muscular and huge.

All that Clayde felt was pain as he immediately lost consciousness and the last thing he heard was the roar of a Titan.

"One hell of a sign." Clayde thought before succumbing to the darkness and falling from the sky.

THIS WAS THE LONGEST CHAPTER OF THIS STORY SO FAR, THE ACTION TURNED OUT A LOT BETTER THAN I EXPECTED, HOPE YOU ENJOY!!!
