The Old Scouts Headquarters

Clouds of dust surrounded Clayde's face as he coughed out loudly and swung his arms around wildly. His hand clutched a broom tightly as he continued to sweep the room he was in as he grumbled angrily to himself.

"Those fuckers gave me the worst room to sweep!" Clayde growled out.

As he continued to sweep, the sun glared at the room through the window as the particles of dust revealed themselves in the light.

Captain Levi gave them orders to get this place cleaned up as soon as possible since this was going to be their headquarters. Having no other option other than to have his nuts crushed again, Clayde swept and tried his very best to get the place clean.

Let's just say it wasn't going as planned.

Everytime he swept up the dust, it just went right back to where it was originally as he swept harder and with more aggression but still made little to no progress at all.

"That's it!" Clayde yelled as he grabbed the broom with both hands and cracked it in half angrily as he panted in frustration before looking at the door and he saw Petra standing there with a nervous look on her face.

"Y-You look like you need help."

"Noooo, really?" Clayde asked sarcastically before taking the broken end of the broom and he began sweeping it as he had to hunch his back in order to start digging into it.

Petra shook her head and helped him dust down the room as she looked at him from the corner of her eyes.

"Sure he's built well enough to take on titans in ODM Gear but... why him specifically? I know Eren Yeager is coming as well since he can turn into a titan but what can Clayde do exactly?" Petra thought curiously.

"So... Clayde?"

"What?"

"I heard you have a high titan kill count from Trost." Petra commented with a smile.

"Oh yeah, I do." Clayde replied in agreement.

"What made Commander Erwin take an interest in you?" Petra asked curiously.

"I... don't know."

"Hmm?" Petra replied in confusion.

"He says that we met before but I don't remember it at all. He said all these things about me like he knew me but I don't know him at all. I don't know what the fuck is going on but I'm gonna find out what the hell is happening." Clayde said with resolve as Petra smiled at that and the both of them continued sweeping.

After another ten minutes of cleaning, the room was finally sparkly clean as Clayde wiped the sweat off of his forehead as he clutched his broken broom and raised it high in victory.

"Yeah! We did it!" Clayde cheered as Petra laughed.

"Sometimes teamwork helps us to complete assignments quicker." Petra commented as Clayde looked at her before shrugging.

"Whatever."

At that moment, Captain Levi entered the room and scanned the room as Petra straightened and saluted, "Captain!"

Clayde looked at her posture before copying it as he stood straight as best as he could while the Captain just glared at him, "Both of you outside now, four eyes is here."

Outside

The rest of Squad Levi stood by Hange who was currently analyzing Eren who looked extremely uncomfortable as the scientist was tugging his hair, looking in his mouth and opening his eyes while asking lots and lots of questions.

"How do you have control over your titan?! How is this regeneration so fast?! How do you turn into a titan?! How strong are you in your titan form?!" Hange asked Eren in a rapid fire notion.

"Uhhh..." Eren stuttered before he noticed Clayde coming outside as he looked at him in shock.

"Clayde?!" Eren said in bewilderment.

"Hey Eren! What are you doing here?" Clayde asked as he draped an arm over his best friend.

"The judge put me with the Scouts due to my titan abilities. I knew you were coming but I didn't think you were here already." Eren explained as Clayde rubbed his chin.

"That makes sense. Now what's all this titan talk? What is that?" Clayde asked.

"You don't know what a titan is?!" Hange yelled in shock as she got up right in his face.

"Uhhhh.... No?" Clayde replied with uncertainty before continuing, "Are those the big human looking things?"

"Yes! I knew Erwin said that you lost your memory but I didn't think it was that bad." Hange analyzed as she poked at Clayde's body and circled him as she looked at his body.

"Lady, what the hell are you doing?" Clayde asked.

"Muscular structure, strong biceps, scar on the side of head, good leg muscles... perfect for a scout!" Hange approved before grabbing Clayde's hand and shaking it wildly.

"I'm Hange Zoe, Section Commander of the Fourth Squad! Nice to meet you, Clayde!" Hange greeted him energetically.

"Err, yes, nice to meet you as well." Clayde said in uncomfortable manner.

"Enough already, both of you will be living with us and there are two rules to ensure that I don't kill you; first, follow all orders you are given and second, do not transform unless I give explicit permission to do so... otherwise, we will be your worst enemies." Levi said in a serious tone as her eyes were cold and unreadable.

"Oh lighten up girl! By the way, what did you mean 'transform' for Clayde?" Hange asked before gasping loudly and getting right in front of his face which made him flinch, "You can turn into a titan too?!"

"Uh, maybe?" Clayde replied with an unsure smile.

"Show me!"

"No." Levi answered forcefully as she glared at the two of them which made Clayde gulp.

"Damn, she's intense!" Clayde thought.

"The sun's getting low, get inside and wash up for dinner than catch some rest." Levi ordered as everyone nodded as they began heading inside as Clayde and Eren looked at each other with worry. If anything happened to the two of them that resulted in them going wild, these were the people that were going to kill them.

After a couple of hours, Clayde and Eren found themselves sitting at a table in the dark with the only light being a candle in the middle of the table as the squad ate together and it was silent as the rest of the squad were mainly keeping an eye on the two of them but preferably Clayde for some reason which was secretly annoying him.

Soon, Hange came into the room with a bright smile as Clayde was secretly glad she was the one that broke the silent atmosphere.

"I'm here~!" Hange sang out as Levi groaned and closed her eyes.

"You ruined the silence." Levi complained.

"Oh come on! The mood was boring and depressing here, it needs to be lightened with one of my stories!" Hange suggested and immediately the rest of the squad started getting up to leave besides Eren and Clayde.

"Well that stinks." Clayde commented as everyone else left.

"Your stories are not that bad, right?" Eren asked as Hange waved it off.

"Meh, its overexaggerated but its fun... but nobody wants to hear it." Hange said sadly.

"Can you... tell us?" Clayde asked curiously as Hange looked at him with sparkles in her eyes.

"Really?!"

"Really." Clayde affirmed as Hange sat in a chair and as soon as she opened her mouth, he immediately regretted it.

Let's just say, she was talking all night long.... Literally, and now it was morning.

"And then a titan doesn't feel pain so I keep stabbing them over and over again to try and get a reaction but nothing ever happens. Sawney and Bean show no sign of affection towards me and it is sad but that's the way it is... are you sleeping?" Hange asked as she finally noticed Clayde's head was down and he was snoring as Eren drowsily looked at her with weary eyes.

"He fell asleep three hours ago." Eren said tiredly.

"Well... at least he heard the important parts." Hange deduced before the door to the room opened to reveal Oruo.

"Hange, the captured titans have been slain." He reported as Hange looked at him with wide eyes as Clayde sat up and yawned tiredly.

"What happened?"

Hange's Experiment Courtyard

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, MY BABIES!!!!!" Hange screamed in horror as she fell to her knees before two steaming corpses that were once wrapped in chains, collars and nails. Clayde looked at the two steaming corpses silently as he wondered why was Hange making a big deal out of it.

"Who did this?!" Hange screamed hysterically.

"We don't know but it is likely that the suspect used ODM Gear to escape, in that case we'll have to inspect the new cadets in order to see who was the culprit." One soldier replied as Hange bawled over her two pets loudly as everyone looked at her like she was crazy.

Under his hood, Eren silently looked at the scene with shock as he didn't exactly know what to think before a hand grabbed his shoulder and suddenly Erwin was right beside him.

"Take a good look." Erwin said as Eren looked at him with surprise before looking at the scene again before the commander continued.

"Who do you think the enemy is?"

Eren looked at him in confusion, "What?"

Erwin sighed before releasing his hold on Eren's shoulder, "Never mind, don't worry about it." He said before walking away as Eren stared after him with confusion in his eyes.

"I'm guessing this is a pretty big deal?" Clayde asked after silently watching the exchange.

"This is a blow to humanity since we practically captured those titans to learn more about them." Eren explained as both of them continued to watch Hange scream, cry and throw things.

Timeskip

"Wake up, sleepyhead!"

Clayde jumped out of bed and fell on the floor as he groaned and rubbed his eyes before he felt a weight on top of him as he looked and saw that Hange was there with a hungry look on her face.

"He finally gave permission! We can finally do it! Come on, get up! Get up!" Hange said as she practically yanked his arm and dragged him downstairs as Clayde struggled to stop.

"Hey you crazy bitch, let me go! Ow, goddamn it!" Clayde yelled angrily as his head hit the stairs as he was dragged outside.

Hange dragged Clayde outside to the others as the rest of Squad Levi along with Eren were there waiting as the scientist dropped his arm and he laid there with wide eyes as he blinked twice.

Suddenly a sharp kick slammed into his ribs painfully as he snapped out of it and he sat up abruptly as he clutched his side. Looking up, he saw Levi was there with her usual stoic face.

"You're late, get up." She ordered as the cadet steadily got up and rubbed his side.

"As most of you already heard, Erwin gave Eren and Clayde permission to transform so we can train them and to better understand them. Beware you two that just because you're given this opportunity doesn't mean you're going to abuse it... I will personally see to it." Levi said coldly as both Eren and Clayde nodded nervously.

"Now we'll start with Eren, climb into that well over their and I will shoot a green signal flare. At the sight of the flare, transform. Now get to it." Levi ordered as Eren nodded and began making his way to the well as the others walked away to gain some distance.

"I don't trust him." Gunther said seriously as he clenched his fists.

"Give him a chance." Petra replied as Oruo looked at her.

"He's a titan, he doesn't stand a chance against us. This other lad is probably just another titan waiting to come out and kill us but don't worry, if anything happens, I'll defend us." Oruo said smugly as Petra looked at him with a puzzled look.

"If you're trying to sound like Levinia than stop please." Petra replied with a raised eyebrow as Clayde looked at her.

"Who's Levinia?"

"That's Captain Levi's full name, don't know why she chose to shorten it but that doesn't give you permission to call her th-" Oruo snapped before he bit his tongue painfully as Clayde smirked.

"Dumbass." He replied as Oruo wanted to punch him but than Levi fired a green flare into the air as it shot into the sky and left a trail of smoke.

"Transform, Eren!" She ordered as the well remained quiet as about thirty seconds passed before it turned into two minutes as Gunther looked at his captain.

"Is he blind or something?"

"Possibly." Levi replied angrily as she walked over to the well along with Clayde as they both peered into the darkness to see Eren with bloody hands and blood smeared around his mouth.

"I-I can't transform."

Five Minutes Later

Now sitting at a table, Clayde looked at Eren curiously as the former's hands were now bandaged as he had a cup of tea. Gunther, Oruo and Eld were sitting at the table also while Levi and Petra remained standing.

"I-I don't know, I know I have to injure myself but I don't understand why its not working." Eren said in a thoughtful tone.

"Whatever it is, it makes you useless unless you figure it out soon." Levi replied while sipping some tea.

"Stop staring at the tea, man. Stir it up." Clayde said as he threw a spoon at Eren who tried to catch it but it bounced off his injury as Eren winced as it fell to the ground.

"Goddamn it, Clayde." Eren muttered as he reached down to pick the spoon up as his hand gripped it but then lightning sparked as Eren widened his eyes in horror.

Lightning struck Eren from the sky as the shockwave destroyed the table and blew Clayde right off his feet and was knocked away into the ground. Pain enveloped Clayde's back but he managed to get as he groaned and looked at the sight with wide eyes.

Where Eren was, a massive muscular arm was on the ground and on top it was Eren as he was trying to pull his arm out.

"I'm sorry, Captain! I don't know what happ-!" Eren yelled out to defend himself but Levi wasn't facing him.

"Stand down, now." She said calmly as Eren and Clayde's eyes widened as they saw Gunther, Petra, Oruo and Eld had their blades ready and were intent on killing Eren.

"Eren, why did you transform without permission?!" Gunther yelled angrily but with a bit of fear as he clenched his blades tightly.

"Did you think you could catch us off-guard?!" Oruo shouted.

"Captain, you need to step away from him now!" Petra yelled with concern.

"No, you all need to step away." Levi replied.

"Answer me, Eren! Why did you transform?! You think you can kill us off-guard!" Erd yelled hysterically.

Suddenly, Clayde ran into the mix and he faced Levi's Squad, "Whoa, Whoa! Relax guys, Eren didn't mean to transform!"

"You don't defend him! You're probably waiting for the right moment to kill us! That's why you tossed him the spoon, it was both of your signals!" Oruo cried out.

"Is that true, Clayde?! Did you and Eren plan to kill us?!" Petra cried out in betrayal.

"N-no we di-" Clayde tried to say but Gunther pointed his blade at him.

"Gunther, stand down!" Levi practically yelled in anger.

"No Captain, they mean to kill us all! I knew we couldn't trust the two of them, they wanted to wipe out humanity from the start!" Gunther yelled as Clayde raised an eyebrow.

"What?" He said in disbelief before the scout slashed Clayde's stomach as he fell onto his back as Eren yelled in anger.

"Clayde!"

"You think you can kill us, Eren?! Well think twice because you can't kill u-!" Oruo yelled before Clayde's hand moved and grabbed the cord in his chest before he pulled it hard as a long chainsaw blade erupted from his head as it split his head in two as blood gushed all over Gunther who was standing over the corpse. 

Clayde's body rose up creepily without the help of his arms as two long chainsaw blades erupted from his forearms as he whipped his tongue out wildly.

"This is more like it! Now.... What were you saying about you can't kill me?" Clayde said darkly with a whirring edge in his voice.

"W-what?" Gunther said in fear as he backed away as Clayde revved his chainsaws loudly as he laughed insanely. Walking forward, Clayde saw Gunther swing his blades but he raised his arm and blocked the strike with his chainsaw. Using his strength, he kicked Gunther square in the chest as he went flying into the dirt and bounced away as he carved up chunks of earth along the way.

"COME KILL ME, BITCHES!!!" Clayde challenged Levi's squad as he turned to face them.

Oruo fired his ODM Hook at Clayde to catch him off guard but he sliced the hook like it was paper and roared loudly before running forward wildly. Hearing an incoming sound, Clayde made no move to dodge as two blades bounced off his armored head which only made his head move a little as Levi landed to the right of him.

Taking advantage of the distraction, Oruo fired his other harpoon into the steaming arm behind Clayde and pulled himself towards him as he yelled and swung his blades. Opening his mouth, Clayde bit down on the swinging blades and shattered them before clenching his fist and uppercutting Oruo.

Luckily his chainsaw retracted whenever he curled his fist so Oruo got a superhuman punch to the chin as he went flying up into the air. Levi rushed at him with blinding speed as she swung her blades which caused the chainsaw to burst out of his forearm with a gush of blood as he blocked the strike easily.

Going on the offensive, Clayde began slashing wildly at Levi who tried her best to block them but she was out of her strength class as each hit made her arms hurt before one more strike shattered both her blades and she fell to the ground.

Raising his chainsaw blade, Clayde prepared to cut her head off before that arm was suddenly severed as Petra sliced the arm off as it fell to the ground. Screaming in rage, Petra whipped back around and sliced off Clayde's other arm as blood splurted out of their as both his arms were on the ground.

"Get away from her!" Petra yelled as Clayde looked at her before he spoke.

"I still got one on my head, dumbass!" Clayde roared as he ran at her while swinging his head wildly as he tried to slice her as Petra tried her best to dodge as the revving got louder as the blade got faster. Petra tried to jump back but Clayde got her with a clean slice to her stomach as it didn't go too deep thankfully.

"This is the team that's gonna stop me?! This is fucking pathetic!!!" Clayde roared out loud as his chainsaw revved in agreement. From his stumps, chains shot out and attached themselves to the lopped off arms and reeled them in as they reconnected with the body.

"Eren didn't transform to kill you because if he doesn't than I fucking will and everyone within these fucking walls! But no, we chose not to because we're not like that at all, you threaten Eren than you threaten me... I don't care who I have to kill to stay true to my word, you hear me?!" Clayde yelled loudly as he glared at Petra and Levi.

The area was silent with the only sound being the chainsaws as Petra and Levi squared off wearily at Clayde's monstrous form as Eren finally yanked his arm out of his titan form and ran in between the three of them.

"Stop! Clayde, enough of this!" Eren yelled.

"There ain't no stopping until I run out of energy!" Clayde retorted.

"EREN!!!"

From the forest nearby, Hange came out for some unknown reason and her eyes lit up on Eren's titan's steaming arm as it was already dissolving as she ran towards wildly.

"You transformed without telling me! Its so cool, you have to let me samples!" Hange cried out wildly as she ran to the arm and touched it, only to get a hot surface.

"Owwwww!" Hange yelled painfully as she clutched her hand before she noticed that the massive hand had a tiny little spoon in its fingertips. A revving noise drew her attention forward as her eyes widened drastically in fascination at Clayde's monstrous form.

"CLAYDE!!!!!" Hange yelled as she completely forgot her burning hand and rushed towards him as he turned and looked at her.

"What the fu-?" Clayde began to say before Hange was right in front of him and poking him all over as she touched his chainsaws with fascination. Luckily he stopped revving them so she doesn't get cut.

"These are so sharp! Sharper than the blades we use to cut titan napes, these most likely don't get dull! Your face is incredible! What is this material?! Its so tough and you have another one of these things coming out of your head! Why is Levi's Squad on the ground?!" Hange asked in rapid fire but Clayde answered the last one.

"They were gonna attack Eren so I attacked first." He answered plainly.

"Oh that makes sense. You guys are idiots for provoking the both of them." Hange scolded the team as Petra looked at her like she was mad.

"Hange, get away from him! He'll kill you!" She screamed.

"Keep talking and you'll never see this day to the end." Clayde threatened darkly as he revved his chainsaws intimidatingly as Hange squealed in excitement.

"Oh we have to do tests right now! Forget titans, this can be a discovery for the history books!"

Eren got rejected look on his face but Hange than turned to him, "You too Eren! Come with me!"

"Alright." Eren said as he brightened up.

"I wanna see how good Clayde is against you!" Hange proposed excitingly as Eren's face paled.

"Oh shi-" Eren said before Clayde grinned at him as he raised his blades.

"I'm gonna gut you up this time, Eren!" Clayde said.

"W-Wait hold on!" Eren said as Hange dragged him along as Clayde followed behind them before he stopped and looked at the two ladies.

"I don't want to kill you but I will if you threaten to kill us... if you think I'm gonna roll over and die than you thought wrong... if you thought I was actually trying in this fight than you better start getting better." Clayde said darkly before walking away from the squad.

Petra and Levi looked at each other and than back at Clayde's retreating figure with weary expressions on their faces.

Timeskip

In the mess hall, Levi and her squad were waiting for the others to show up as Oruo's face was bandaged completely. Gunther's chest was bare and bandaged as it was agonizing for him to breathe properly. Petra's stomach was bandaged and Levi's arms ached a bit from the blows she blocked.

The only who wasn't injured was Erd who didn't attack Clayde at all as he sat at the table with a thoughtful expression on his face before the door opened and the three expected guests walked in.

"That was so wonderful! You should've seen Clayde and his chainsaws! They were so sharp and they cut through wood easily! His strength and speed are impeccable! While Eren couldn't turn into a titan, I found out a reason as to why but... I wanted to wait until we were all here together!" Hange said excitingly as the squad had no expression but they were silently glaring at Clayde who gulped before breaking the ice.

"Soo... what we eating today?" Clayde said as he plopped down on a chair without a care in the world.

Eren took a seat across from him as Hange remained standing with an excited look on her face as she stared at Levi expectantly before the captain sighed.

"After Clayde's little tantrum, we debated as to whether or not we should report this to Erwin and have it marked as insubordination but... my squad was were in the wrong here." Levi said calmly before looking at Clayde.

"However, what you said cannot be overlooked, would you kill everyone within the walls to protect Eren?" Levi asked darkly as Clayde scratched his head.

"I said that? Guess that's another thing my powers does." Clayde said nervously as Oruo looked at him.

"Huh?"

"I think my other form brings out a more sadistic and dangerous side to me. I still have control over my body but my attitude changes. Hange noticed this as she was having me do multiple tests." Clayde explained as the scientist nodded.

"We did sooooo much tests! I got so much information from this and it really helps! Clayde's mindset is bent on making his opponents die swiftly or sometimes in the worst way possible! It explains his attitude against you all when you fought him." Hange explained.

"It was a bit scary, to be honest. To titans, Clayde is their worst nightmare come to life." Eren added with a shudder.

"We'll talk later now... how does Eren transform exactly?" Levi asked as Eren looked at Hange curiously.

"Yeah, how does it work?"

"When Eren semi-transformed, I found this little spoon in its grasp. Eren told us that he had to bite his hand to transform when he first did it but there might be more to it. Think about it, to protect your friends from a cannon? To lift a boulder? To pick up a spoon? I think Eren will have to injure himself with a specific goal in mind in order for the transformation to happen." Hange said seriously as Eren looked at her with wide eyes.

"I can turn into a titan to pickup a spoon?" Eren said in incredulously as Clayde looked at him in confusion.

"Protect your friends from a cannon? Who the hell was shooting at you?" Clayde asked in confusion.

"I'll tell you later."

"So... you didn't transform willingly?" Gunther clarified.

"I didn't even know I needed a goal to transform." Eren confirmed as the members of the squad nodded to each other before raising their hands to their mouths and biting down hard before some of them yelled in pain from it as the rest of the group looked at them with confusion.

"Damn, Eren! How the hell do you even do this?" Oruo complained as his hand ached.

"In other ways, this is our way of apologizing, Eren." Petra said as she looked at him, "We just wanted to make sure that nothing bad would happen to anyone else."

"We thought that you went rogue and we were basically doing what we were assigned to do." Gunther plainly explained.

"Except you got your asses handed to you." Clayde innocently added as Gunther gritted his teeth.

"Yes... we got our asses handed to us by a lazy ass cadet." Gunther admitted as Clayde looked at him.

"Who wasn't even trying?" Clayde added.

"Shut the fuck up!" Gunther yelled at him, "It's your fault that I'm like this!"

"Oh suck it up, you fat bitch!"

"Why should I?!"

"You slashed me, you prick!"

....

"That's what I thought."

"Enough!" Levi demanded as both of them quieted immediately as she looked at Clayde, "Even though you attacked us, you were defending Eren who did nothing wrong... I'll overlook this incident but don't ever make this happen again."

"Don't give me a reason to and we'll be fine." Clayde promised.

"The main reason we did it was that we trusted you guys to walk among us and let you guys be so close to us because we trusted you two wouldn't turn on us." Petra explained with a warm smile.

"Now that trust has returned to the group, who wants to hear what happened today?!" Hange yelled in excitement as Clayde groaned out loud.

"Here she fucking goes." Clayde muttered. 

PHEW! THIS CHAPTER TOOK AWHILE BUT IT'S FINALLY HERE! THE NEXT CHAPTER IS GONNA START THE FEMALE TITAN ARC AND IT'S GONNA HAVE A FEW DEVILISH SURPRISES!!!
