——

Anticipation couldn't have been any more of an issue as Jungkook straightened his tie for the millionth time.

"Come on," his escort, Jimin, called out to him.

The mirror was Jungkook's home all morning long. He couldn't find it in himself to look away, scared he'd accidentally mess up his appearance and look like a joke.

"Hyung," he smoothed his suit out for the tenth time that hour, "do I look okay?"

Jimin rolled his eyes as he walked up behind him, appearing in the mirror as well. "You look amazing," he told him as he patted his tense arms.

Jungkook had on a normal tux. Black, white dress shirt on underneath, and a black tie. He liked to look simple.

His hair was cut and styled to look more presentable for the wedding, and he had been taking extra care of his skin to look good.

But he hasn't seen Seokjin since yesterday afternoon. Jimin and Taehyung stole Jungkook from his home, telling them how it's bad luck to see each other the night before and the day of.

The day of their wedding.

Jungkook shuddered at the memo.

He's about to get married.

Eventually, he followed Jimin to the entrance of the venue, legs like noodles and throat dry despite taking sips of water before they got there.

There was soft music playing, but he could barely even notice it because the door was opening, and oh lord, was he terrified as the lights came through.

——

On the other side of that door was Seokjin.

White aisle runway, a wintery arch at the end with pretty fairy lights and white flowers hanging all over the ceiling like— like a winter wonderland. The place was gorgeous, just as Seokjin had imagined.

He had walked down that aisle first, all mostly familiar eyes on him.

His parents, who had lived out of the country for a few years now, had made it to the wedding. It was crazy, their first time meeting Jungkook being just before the wedding, but they had actually talked through Skype a few times— that's another story.

They escorted him down the aisle because he wanted them to, and, well, he didn't want to walk alone.

It was calm and fine until things started to sink in for him. Things started to sink in the moment he saw Sarang walk through the venue door, throwing white petals and wintery confetti out of a white basket.

Things started to sink in even more as everyone was escorted towards the arch with him. Yoongi was his best man, escorted by Taehyung, who just so happened to be crying now.

Seokjin couldn't not grin to himself at the sight.

As much as he tried to calm his nerves, though, it doesn't help. No amount of making fun of his friend can stop his breath from hitching as he realized that it's all gone.

Nobody else is on the aisle.

Everyone has been escorted now. It happened before he could even blink. All that's left is...

——

Tears immediately formed in Jungkook's eyes as the door opened, revealing what wonderful wonderland was behind. But most importantly, it revealed Seokjin.

Seokjin, dressed from head to toe, hair slicked back, arms rested over his abdomen, and hands clamped together. Either the pretty lights were making Jin's eyes glisten or maybe he had tears of his own.

But he was standing like a knight in shining armor, just waiting for Jungkook. Waiting for him to be escorted into his arms, up there under that arch.

With every step Jimin took, Jungkook followed, swallowing tight as he held onto Jimin's arm for emotional support.

All the other people in the venue weren't even a part of Jungkook's worries. All he cared about was how he's actually about to marry that man in front of him. The man who was presented so well. Like he's the only man there.

As he gets to Seokjin, he gulps. Either the lights were making him hot or he was really, really in need of some damn water. Or a fan.

As Seokjin took his hands, he was pulled back in from his daze. Seokjin squeezed his hands as if to comfort him, or maybe to get his attention.

Gazing into Seokjin's eyes was so hard to do, though. The joy and soft look in his eyes made Jungkook want to cry. Made him want to look away and say "stop it! I'm shy!" like usual.

Obviously, he can't do that. So, he holds tight onto Seokjin's hands and hopes he never lets go.

——

Seokjin took a long time to write his vows. But as he's signaled to speak them out, he thinks he's forgotten how to speak at all.

"Um," he began, voice sort of small even though he had a microphone to speak into.

"Jungkook... Baby. First, I'd like to say how incredibly stunning you look. You always look amazing, but there's something a little bit different about seeing you standing under this arbor, dressed so nicely compared to your usual baggy sweats and dinner growing cold so you can play 'just one last game' of Overwatch."

It's true. Jungkook, in his eyes, is absolutely gorgeous today. Big smile shining up at him, shy look in his eyes despite being together so long.

"It's different because after this day, I get to have the joy of scolding you for letting your dinners get cold for the rest of my life.

For the rest of my life, I get to wake up next to you. We'll get to always play Just Dance in the living room and watch romcoms because I know you like watching them. I get to care and be there for you for the rest of our lives. For the rest of our lives, I get to show you just how much I love you."

Seokjin loves him more than he can imagine loving anyone else. His love goes deep enough to hurt his heart even thinking about having anyone other than Jungkook standing in front of him.

"We went from bad beginnings to new beginnings, from making mistakes to forgiving and healing, from being in health to even in sickness, and I promise to always take care of you, even in sickness.

You've always been my little bunny. Always a brat, but never as bothersome as you think. Not once have I thought that way, and I plan to show you that every single day. You'll never be a bother to me."

Jungkook let his head fall in shame. He's always apologized for being a bother. He never has been, though.

"I promise to hold onto you for the rest of our lives, to always love and adore you, and to offer as much as I can to be strong for you in moments that you feel weak."

Seokjin smiled at him to burn away the nervous pull in his stomach.

"Oh, uh, wait," he chuckled nervously into the mic. "I also promise to always ask for exactly three cherries on your milkshakes for the rest of our lives. You've always deserved the best of the best. All the cherries."

Jungkook chuckled as well, his body becoming less stiff.

"So, for the rest of our lives, I vow to always, always be sure you've got the best of the best."

And with that, he turned the mic towards Jungkook, the pull in his stomach loosening as Jungkook's giggle echoed through the venue.

It was loud, surprising the younger and everyone sitting in there.

Seokjin laughed at Jungkook's wide eyes, trying not to smile like an idiot in love, but he couldn't stop from smiling at Jungkook.

He's just too damn cute.

"Gosh, okay." Jungkook let out a dry laugh as he stepped away from the too-sensitive microphone. "Don't know how I'm meant to top that."

He cleared his throat.

"Kim Seokjin." He was reading from a piece of paper, just like Seokjin's, which was being put back into his pocket by then.

"I still remember the day I first met you. It was after I left my agency and needed a new one. Though I was desperate for a job, I was scared to work under the same roof as you."

Jungkook quickly tilted his head, a habit of his.

"It's quite funny, how nervous I was when I first saw you come through the door. So handsome, yet fierce, and s-somewhat terrifying. Never did I think I would fall in love with you.

But... I did.

And I always will be in love with you.

From the moment of our first date, you made me so giddy. I wanted to learn so much and I wanted to always be with you or talk to you. Anything, really.

I got so attached to you a-and I didn't even know it was happening.

Even now— no, especially now, I will always love you. I promise I will. B-Because even in a room full of people, I feel safe with you. I always have.

And if our days may end tomorrow... I believe I'd leave Earth happier than I've ever been, because of you, Kim Seokjin."

His lips tightened into a thin smile as he glanced up at Seokjin, who had his eyes on him the whole time.

Jungkook gulped before looking back at his paper.

"So, I- I vow to let you have my heart for the rest of time. I promise to be with you for better or worse, richer or poorer, in sickness or in health.

And I vow to always support you. I vow to love and cherish, to support and take care of any... future additions of our family."

He peeked up again. The older had his brows creased, tears prickling at his eyes. And just before Jungkook looked back at the paper, he saw the tears roll down Seokjin's cheek.

"T-Through parenthood, through good and bad, throughout our future years spent together, I promise to love you until death parts us."

He began to fold the paper while trying to blink away the water in his eyes. But he looked up at Seokjin, who was wiping his tears away. They were both nearly crying, trying not to. Trying their best to keep it in.

Namjoon, who had been ordained to marry the two, smiled at them. "So," he started, "Jungkook, do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

Jungkook nodded at him. "I do."

Seokjin's lips curved up as Namjoon turned to him. "Seokjin, do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

He nodded as well. "I do."

"Great," Namjoon let out, then gestured for Yoongi to come forward. "Shall we have the rings?"

Yoongi brought the rings up to them, winking at Jungkook, who almost wanted to playfully roll his eyes in return. He stopped himself.

"With these rings," Namjoon continued, "will be a reminder of your words. These rings will symbolize your marriage."

Each second that went by was so, so fast— but it felt the opposite. It was quick; yet, when Seokjin took the ring from the white pillow and took Jungkook's hand, everything felt so slow.

What lasted a minute felt like it lasted an hour.

Tears were dried on his cheek as they exchanged rings. But tears started to form again as they took each other's hands, holding onto each other with the rings now resting on their fingers.

Jungkook felt like he was touching, feeling for the first time again as Seokjin squeezed his hand.

Namjoon closed the black folder he was holding and smiled at the two of them. "Any objections?" he asked.

Silence.

Thankfully, there was silence.

"Okay," Namjoon said as he clasped his hands over his abdomen. "I now pronounce you husband," he looked at Seokjin, then turned to Jungkook, "and husband."

The two laughed a bit, seeming to find it amusing that they're being called husbands.

Namjoon was grinning as well. "You may now kiss."

Jungkook was pulled towards him, the older immediately cupping his cheeks and bringing him into a sweet, warm kiss.

He put his hands on Seokjin's shoulders and softened into his hold, smiling against his lips as he heard the first cheers, which were from Hoseok and Jimin, of course.

Soon, the whole room was cheering and clapping— even whistling all just for them. Just for their marriage.

Jungkook had never felt so alive, having Seokjin pull away and smile, the two taking in the moment as they rested their foreheads together.

"I'll always love you," Seokjin whispered. "My husband."

He pulled Jungkook into a hug and Jungkook relaxed in his arms, tears completely pouring now as he clasped onto him.

"Me too," he cried. "Love you so much."

He didn't care about the bright flash of photos being taken or the encouraging cheers anymore. All he cared about was being held by his husband.

His husband.
