Yeah, Jungkook was drunk, alright.
It took a hell of a lot of patience and time to even get him to his car, but Seokjin somehow made it. Jimin seemed just as drunk, and maybe even a bit more reckless. Seokjin felt even worse for Taehyung, who had to take him home.
But it was Jimin's birthday and they had decided to go out and drink. Seokjin knew that Jungkook was going to go celebrate with his friend, but not like this.
He wasn't expecting to be driving Jungkook back to his place in the middle of the night like this, the younger in his passenger seat whining about the awful music on the radio.
"Hyung~" Jungkook pouted at him.
Seokjin kept his eyes on the road, but still, "I already told you, I can't make the DJ play better music—"
"No!" Jungkook pouted even more, leaning over into the car. "I wanna hold hands~"
But Seokjin was already pulling into a parking spot, wondering how he was going to get this drunk man into his apartment.
"I'll hold your hand," Seokjin said as he unbuckled his seatbelt. "We can hold hands when we get inside, okay?"
Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows as Seokjin reached over and unbuckled him as well.
"Not your hand," Jungkook huffed, then tried to pull the door handle, but he was locked inside the car. "Let me out~" he dragged on.
"What do you mean, not my hand?" Seokjin furrowed his eyebrows right back at him as the younger struggled to find how to unlock the door.
When Jungkook finally found it, he opened the door. "You 'on't lov'me."
Seokjin sighed as Jungkook stepped out of the car. He hurried out of his own door and rushed to Jungkook to keep him from wandering away.
"Baby, please."
Jungkook tried to push him away the moment Seokjin tried to hold his stumbling boyfriend up.
"Baby," Seokjin repeated, "I don't want to talk about this while you're drunk. Let's get you inside and I'll tell you how much I love you in the morning, okay?"
The younger looked up at him, eyes sparkling with the nearby lamppost lights shining into his eyes.
"Y' love me?"
Seokjin chuckled as Jungkook perked up at him with those wide eyes as if he couldn't believe what Jin was saying.
He finally let Seokjin take him to his apartment. They both struggled, but they still ended up in Seokjin's bedroom, thankfully before sunrise, so that's a win.
Seokjin helped him onto his bed and tried to give Jungkook a pair of pajamas, but as soon as Jungkook stripped off his clothes, he curled up into Seokjin's bed and snatched all the pillows for himself.
"Baby, you can't just take all the pillows."
"Mhmm," Jungkook nodded as if to say 'yes, I can'.
Seokjin was still in his pajamas— he rushed to get Jungkook, though it was embarrassing to show up like that.
He went to his kitchen and took some medicine out from a drawer and a bottle of water for Jungkook, and by the time he got back into the bedroom, Jungkook was sitting up in the bed, looking around.
"Thought you'd never come back," Jungkook complained.
Seokjin set the water and medicine next to Jungkook on the bedside table for him tomorrow.
"Were you waiting for me?" he asked. "Bun, just go to sleep, okay?"
And as Seokjin got into the bed, Jungkook pushed the pillows back and pulled his boyfriend into him, immediately snuggling into him.
"It's so hot~" he complained more.
"You're under the blankets," Seokjin laughed, shaking his head. "And you're cuddling me. You don't even have clothes on—"
"I meant to say cold!" Jungkook groaned to himself.
Seokjin pulled him in closer. He smelled like alcohol, but not as much as he did when he had his clothes on.
"Sorry. I keep it cold in here most of the time," he admitted.
But Jungkook didn't reply to him. Judging by the soft breathing and slightly gentle hold on his body, Seokjin assumed he wouldn't be getting any more responses tonight.
His boyfriend is an absolute handful when he's drunk.
"Goodnight, baby." He brushed Jungkook's hair out of his face and pressed a kiss to his forehead. "And for the record, I do love you."
He knew Jungkook couldn't hear him.
