Vacation was already going quite okay, at least for Jungkook.

Sure, he was nervous about it all, but he soon felt comfortable when he realized that his friends would be there with him for once.

So— Jungkook, Taehyung, and Jimin rode in one vehicle. Yoongi and Hoseok rode together in Yoongi's vehicle, and Seokjin and Namjoon rode together in Seokjin's.

Three cars, seven people, one trip.

There are three bedrooms, and somehow Jungkook ended up in the bedroom that only has one queen-sized bed. He ended up having to share a room with Seokjin.

It should be fine. That's what he told himself, at least.

But it's very much not fine. He and Seokjin have only been on three dates. They aren't officially boyfriends. They don't know each other as much as Jungkook wishes they did. It felt so odd, unpacking his stuff as quickly as possible (before Seokjin even arrived).

He relaxed in the pool, though, and decided to try and dismiss all of his worries. This is vacation, after all.

So he roams on his floaty in the pool and closes his eyes, listening to Taehyung's music through the speaker and his and Jimin's laughter filling his ears.

  Tries to relax.

"Your boyfriend is here to swim," he could hear Jimin's mischievous voice ringing in his ears again.

He knew that Jimin was talking to him. Jimin and Taehyung had been joking about him and Jin being boyfriends the whole ride to the beach.

Jungkook opened his eyes and searched for Seokjin, eyes immediately landing on the older. He was wearing a blue shirt and black swim shorts— making his way to the edge of the pool.

  "Having fun?" Seokjin asked.

He watched as Seokjin dipped his toe in the water, noticing how quickly he retracted his foot after feeling how cold the water is.

"You should get in with him!" Jimin called out from his beach chair (those chairs surround the pool), smirking as Jungkook glanced at him. "It's like, really hot out here. Perfect to swim."

Yeah, it's very hot today. Sun blazing on the concrete surrounding the pool, sweat dripping down Jungkook's neck, cold ice cream in Taehyung's mouth, who was simply watching with twinkling eyes.

But the pool is still cold. Seokjin didn't look too fond of the water, but he still sat on the edge of the pool and dipped his legs in.

"Where are the others?" Taehyung asked.

He was asking Seokjin, who was distracted by watching Jungkook as he paddled into the water, trying to push his float towards the older.

"Namjoon is setting himself up in the smaller living room," Seokjin started, a smile forming as Jungkook started struggling to move himself in the water. "Yoongi and Hoseok are unpacking in their room."

  Right.

Yoongi and Hoseok are sharing a room, Taehyung and Jimin are sharing a room, Jungkook and Seokjin are sharing, and Namjoon is sleeping on the couch (he asked to).

"Are they coming to swim?" Jimin's turn to ask.

"Don't know," Seokjin tried not to chuckle as Jungkook finally arrived to him, smiling up in victory. He wrapped his feet around the float so Jungkook wouldn't float away. "Hey, bun."

Jungkook smiled wider at him. "Hi." Then he pulled his wet hand out of the water and placed it on Seokjin's bare knee, making him gasp at the cold water.

"You brat," he grumbled as he pulled his knee away. "That's cold."

"Come on," Jungkook then lightly splashed his hands in the water, still nearly completely dry because he was sitting on the float. "Just jump in. It's not too cold." Lie.

Seokjin huffed. "Not too cold," he repeated, muttering.

"Come on! Get in with me!"

"Okay," Seokjin hardly laughed. "Can you swim, bun?"

"Yeah," Jungkook nodded. Yeah, he can swim. Of course. He's great at it, really.

  "Great."

Seokjin pushed his foot under Jungkook's round float and flipped the younger over, splashing right into the water with nothing to hold onto; nothing to save him.

He could hear Seokjin's and his own friends' laughter as he rose from the water, gasping for air, and harsh, cold water really ruining his relaxed vibes.

"You-" Jungkook huffed. "You're the brat." He then shook all the water off of himself, hair going from soaked to at least a little less wet.

A small splash came from beside him, and as he looked up, he noticed that Seokjin had gotten into the pool now.

"God, here they go again," Yoongi, who was closing the back door, spoke up as he came outside.

"They're cute, at least." Jimin stuck his tongue out as Jungkook eyed him.

It was nice, though. Jungkook's friends and Seokjin's friends meeting. Jungkook meeting Hoseok. His friends meeting Seokjin. It felt like a step closer. This whole trip already felt like a big step closer.

"My floaty," Jungkook pouted as his float drifted off to the other end of the pool. Seokjin laughed as he swam up to him, the deep end of the pool nearly swallowing them both.

  "Come here, you big baby."

Seokjin took action before Jungkook could process. He turned around and picked up Jungkook by his legs, forcing him onto his back.

Jungkook held on, wrapped fingers around his shoulders, being sure to not choke Seokjin on accident by holding his neck instead. His shoulders are broad enough to hold onto anyways.

He took them to the more shallow end, just so he could stand, but he kept Jungkook on his back.

Jungkook nuzzled into the back of his neck. This is way better than the float. It's warm and holds onto him!

"Aren't you going to swim?" Taehyung asked him.

"No." Jungkook shook his head. "Wanna stay like this for a while."

Seokjin held onto him tighter. "You can stay like this all day if you want to, bun." Jungkook smiled against his skin, but he could see Yoongi and Jimin both grimace at them.

They're just jealous. Or they're actually just sickened by cuteness. Either way, Jungkook doesn't care at this point. This feels nice.
