ATTICUS DE SILVA IS A SEARCHER, A WANDERER, AND A CREATOR.

He maps towns and cities in his spare time, creating worlds within worlds on parchment while he's supposed to be in class, throwing all the expectations that come with being a Ravenclaw out the window. Most of the time, Atticus is alone with nothing but his maps and his pencils. Other times, he wanders the halls of Hogwarts with his best friend (or maybe more), Eden Courtlandt.

But no matter what, Atticus just can't seem to escape the prying eyes of his teachers, who insist he stop testing the limits of their patience with his reckless behavior and impetuous stunts. For years, this teasing dance continues—pranks followed by empty threats and letters from home and pissed-off professors.

In the beginning of his fourth year at Hogwarts, however, Atticus is introduced to two unfamiliar concepts. The first: a teacher who actually seems to like him, which is baffling in itself, because Remus Lupin just can't seem to lose his patience, no matter how many times Atticus tries to test it. The second, and slightly more interesting: a magical piece of parchment, found during one of Atticus' midnight walks about the castle, protected by rather impolite enchantments and more unpredictable magic than anyone could imagine.

Atticus isn't a thief. He's a prankster, sure, and maybe a bit of a short-tempered arse, but never a thief—or at least, that's how he likes to think of himself. Unfortunately, Atticus' risky find and his own poor judgment lead to the beginning of another dangerous cycle, full of unanswered questions, unlucky situations, and maybe a little bit of teenage drama.

The art of cartographic crime is a risky one, but unbeknownst to Atticus de Silva, that's exactly what helped him find Marauder's Map in the first place—and along with it, secrets about himself he never knew would find him.

hi everyone!! you might recognize the title and plot of this book from the previous version of atlas hands, but i'm warning you that this is VERY different from the first version. namely, eden is no longer the main character (that doesn't diminish my love for her tho!) and silas doesn't exist. atticus is very different from eden, but together they're so adorable—and i love oc x oc fics, so humour me. this fic will feature many canon characters, i promise! 

also, atticus has some ✨anger issues✨ so don't judge him because our trauma doesn't define us. everyone, even fictional characters, has their flaws. don't hate on my baby!!
