Sydney and Nicky arrived the museum with Nicky's friends

"No one comes here anymore" One of his friends said as the four of them entered the museum

"Besides, I took this tour in second grade, Daley" he scoffed at Nicky. Sydney rolled her eyes as she followed them

"I told you, my dad is going to hook us up" Nicky sighed

"Mr.Daley" A voice called out, Sydney looked around and saw Larry who was standing at the end of the stairs and a man walking down stairs as he called Larry

"Yeah?" Larry replied

"Foam" The man pointed something to his right

"I know" Larry sighed

"In the Neanderthal Display"

"I know, I know, there was an incident last night with the fire extinguisher, I was literary was on my way to go clean it up" Larry quickly explained

"Okay, Don't bother. You're fired." The man said and walked away, Sydney felt her mouth agape as she watched Larry stood in shame

"I don't think we're getting a tour today." Nicky's friend said and smirked

"Your dad just got canned, dude" The other one chuckled before leaving. Sydney glared at Nicky's friend before turning to Nick

"Excuse me! Mr. McPhee!" Larry called out before following the man

Nick was staring at his dad with a blank expression, Sydney sighed and placed a hand on Nicky's shoulder

"Let's just leave." Sydney said, Nicky nodded and left with Sydney who was very disappointed at Larry

Sydney and Nicky was sitting by the window at Nicky's room reading a book

Sydney sighed and closed her book and placing it on her lap

"Hey, buddy. What's going on?" A voice said, Sydney looked at the door and saw Larry holding his jacket, she frowned at Larry before looking out of the window

"Sydney, are guys okay?" Larry stared at the two, Sydney didn't answer and acted like he wasn't there

"You got fired" Nicky said who didn't look up from his book

"What are you talking about? I didn't get fired." Larry said as he sat on Nicky's bed

"We came to the museum this morning." Sydney sighed while Nicky nodded

"We saw your boss yelling at you." Nicky added, Larry who stayed quiet stared at the two

"Why didn't you guys tell me? Everything's fine. We just had a little misunderstanding" Larry explained, Nicky looked up from his book and looked at his dad

"Why?" He asked

"It's hard to explain. I mean, you guys wouldn't bel--" Larry sighed again

"You know what? Let me show you guys" Sydney and Nicky stared at Larry weirdly

"Show us what?" Sydney questioned

"Come to work with me tonight" Larry smiled at the two

"Larry." Erica who stood by the door called, Larry sighed before standing up and following Erica out of Nicky's room

"I'll be in my room, Nick" Sydney said and walked of of his room and head towards her room, she removed her coat and boots and grabbed her laptop, she then continued to finish her essay.

Then suddenly someone knocked on her door, she stood up and answered, there stood Nicky and Larry all dressed up to go

"What?" Sydney said bluntly,

"You're coming with us." Larry smiled

Sydney thought for a moment before nodding, she quickly wore her boots and grabbed her coat

"Listen you guys are gonna hang out in the security office, and when everyone's gone I'll come and get you guys, Alright?" Larry said as they continued up the stairs of the museum

"Okay." Nicky and Sydney said in unison, Larry led them down the basement of the museum and left the two there waiting, Nicky sat on a table while Sydney just paced back and forth

The sound of her heels on her boots echoed through the room as she waited impatiently

"You okay?" Nicky suddenly asked, Sydney stopped pacing and looked at Nicky

"Yeah, Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking." Sydney sighed and continued her pacing.

Hours later it was already six o'clock, Sydney who is sprawled on the couch sighed loudly, the suddenly the door opened revealing Larry

"Let's go." He said and grabbed Nicky, Sydney rolled her eyes and stood up while removing her coat leaving her only in her jeans, shirt, and boots.

They went back to the entrance of the museum,

"Best seat in the house." Larry said and carried Nicky placing him on top of the counter while Sydney just stood up

"What's going on?" Nicky and Sydney both asked

"If I told you guys, you guys would think I'm crazy so I'm just gonna show you." He explained as he checked his watch

"What?" Sydney asked

"You'll see in about 20 seconds. Okay you like titanosaur rex?" Larry asked Nicky

"Yeah"

"Yeah? Well I call him Rexy, and he is about to come to life, Nicholas." Larry smiled cheekily

"In.... Five, four, three, two.." He said as he side stepped towards the dinosaur and knelt infront of it doing jazz hands, it didn't move.

Sydney can't believe Larry is doing so she scoffed and shook her head in disbelief

"Dad?" Nicky called but Larry put his finger out to stop him from talking

"Hang on a sec, say hello to, Rexy!" He did another jazz hands towards the t-rex.

"Dad, are you okay?" Nicky asked staring weirdly at his dad, Sydney shook her head as she also stared at Larry.

"This is weird." Larry whispered to himself as he looked around the museum

"Guys, come on! Sun down!"He called, he then ran towards Theodore Roosevelt, he then started to whisper and tap the statue

"Come on, my kid and his friend is here" He said loudly enough for Nicky and Sydney hear

"Texas! Texas! Come on! Get on Texas! Woo! Get on Texas! Get up!" He slapped the horse's butt repeatedly but still didn't move

"Just stop okay?" Sydney scoffed, Larry looked at the two and walked towards them

"No, Syd, Nicky, I'm telling you guys, there's this tablet, it's called the Tablet of Ahkmenrah and every night at sun down, it brings--"

"The tablet does nothing, Larry." Sydney rolled her eyes, Larry opened her mouth to protest but quickly closed it

"Just follow me, come on" He said and ran towards the stairs, Sydney and Nicky followed behind as they head towards the Egyptian Department

They entered the Temple of Ahkmenrah and Larry turned on his flashlight flashing the wall where the tablet should be, but tablet wasn't there

"It's gone." Larry said as he walked towards the where the tablet should be.

"What's gone?" Nicky asked

"The tablet, I think somebody stole it." Larry said as he went around the tomb

"Yeah, right." Nicky sighed, Sydney rolled her eyes and turned to leave, Nicky followed her as they quickly left the Egyptian department.

Sydney's heels clicked on the marbled floor as she and Nicky turned to the right and walked down the wooden stairs.

"Hey! Nicky! Syd!" Larry called out as he followed them down the stairs, Sydney ignored him and continued her way down the stairs

"Where are you guys going, huh?" Larry asked

"Home." Sydney replied

"What, wait a minute." Larry stopped at the middle at the stairs and stared something out of the window, Nicky also looked.

Sydney stopped and turned to the both of them

"Nicky, let's go" Sydney called, Larry put his hand up signaling her to be quiet

"Come on." Larry quickly ran down the stairs and passed Sydney

"Seriously?" She scoffed and followed them, they went to the basement where some of the exhibits were, Sydney looked around as she held Nicky's shoulder

"What are we doing here?" Sydney whispered to Nicky, Nicky shrugged, Sydney saw a crate full of gold artifacts, Sydney walked towards it and stared at it, she saw the tablet and grabbed it as she ran her fingers through the drawings

"You guys shouldn't be here" A familiar voice said, Sydney turned around and saw Cecil along with two other old men

"Give us the tablet, young lady." The tall one said as he glared at her, Nicky hid behind Sydney

"Wait a minute, Syd." He said and stopped Sydney from moving forward

"What are you guys doing?" Larry asked the three old men,

"We're not gonna hurt ya, give us the tablet." The short one said to Sydney, she stared at them as she held on the tablet

"I'm sorry to tell you two but Larry doesn't work here anymore. Got fired this morning, couldn't hack it." Cecil smirked

"Larry?" Sydney said in disbelief, Larry turned around and looked at two worriedly

"I thought you said you weren't fired." Nicky said with a look of disappointment on his face

"I did, Syd, Nicky, They're lying. They are trying to steal that thing, just turn the middle piece, and see what I was talking about" Larry said to Sydney

"That is museum property, young lady, give it back!" Cecil glared at her

"Sydney, trust me, just turn it." Larry stared at her

"Give us the tablet!" The short one growled which made Sydney and Nicky flinch

"Sydney, trust me" Larry whispered to Sydney with eyes begging her to turn it, Sydney looked down at the tablet and ran her finger through the piece before turning it

Suddenly the tablet glowed as she sucked in a breath, her eyes slowly turned gold as she watched the tablet glow brighter

"What's this?" She asked, Ahkmenrah smiled as he placed his hand on the tablet.

"My father gave this to me when I was born, so that my family may 'live on past death together.' It is one of my most prized possession" Ahkmenrah said proudly, she smiled and kissed his cheeks

Sydney's eyes slowly turned back to normal as the tablet stopped glowing

"Syd, Nick. Run. Now." Larry said, Sydney and Nicky quickly ran

"Get back here!" The short one growled as he chased them.

Sydney and Nicky quickly ran upstairs and quickly ran inside the temple of ahkmenrah, until Cecil came infront of them and punched Sydney dropping the tablet, Cecil picked it up

"Thank you very much, we'll take it from here." Cecil said and turned to leave, Nicky quickly kneeled down to Sydney who was holding her bruised lip

"Sydney! Nicky!" Larry quickly ran towards them but Cecil flipped him backwards and took the keys, the three old men walked out the temple

"Just in time, Larry. We were just locking up." Cecil smirked and showed him the keys and closed the gate locking it.

Sydney recovered and quickly ran towards Larry helping him up, he ran towards the gate and started shaking it

"Teddy! Teddy if you're out there, I need you pal!" Larry called out, suddenly they heard neighing and walked infront of them was Teddy riding a horse

"Someone called my name?" Teddy said proudly, Sydney stood there in shock

"Woah." Nicky said in awe, Teddy tipped his hat as he smiled at him and Sydney

"Theodore Roosevelt, at your service." He said

"Teddy can you get us out of here?" Larry quickly said

"Can't do it man, this is your moment!" Teddy grinned

"Will you save the lectures please! I'm not you okay? I didn't build the panaman canal! I wasn't president of the united states! I need some help!" Larry growled, Teddy's smile faded a bit and removed his glasses

"Actually... I never did any of those things, Teddy Roosevelt did. I was made in a mannequin factory at poughkeepsie, I never shot a wild beast, I am not even brave enough to tell that beautiful woman that I love her" Teddy's smile faded

"But you. You gotta finish the job, this job this time, you can't quit." He said as he stared at Larry

"I'm made of wax, Larry. What are you made of?" He questioned, before leaving

"Woah, woah, woah, wait a minute! That's all you got for me?!" Larry called,

"That's it!" Reddy replied as he turned to a corner, Sydney turned around and saw the jackals stomping towards them, She also saw the tomb moving and shaking

"Come on!" Larry grabbed Nicky and Sydney as they run under the Jackal's spear that almost killed them, Sydney pushed Nicky behind the pillar and hid with him

"Sydney, a little help here?!" Larry said as he tried to push the stone slab away, Sydney looked at Nicky who has a scared expression, she patted her back telling him to stay and went to help Larry

They both pushed the stone slab away, Larry quickly unlocked the tomb then suddenly the lid flew across the room hitting the wall, Sydney quickly ran towards Nicky

The mummy slowly sat up and turned his head to Larry

"Hey, Hi. How are you doing, um sorry to bother you, but uh your guys there, your jackal guys, do you think, you could actually, ask them to uh, back off please, they thought we were trying to hurt you and they think we are, I think you could possibly do it like, now?!"

The mummy snapped his head towards the jackals who were about to throw their spears towards them and ordered them to stop with an unknown language

The jackals bowed their heads and kneeled infront of the mummy

"Thank you!" Larry sighed in relief as he took a breath, but suddenly the mummy turned to them as he slowly stood up from his tomb, the mummy started to scream

"Dad!" Nicky quickly ran towards his dad and hugged him tightly, Sydney quickly hid behind Larry, he held the two protectively as the backed away, the mummy slowly removed the bandage around his head, Sydney closed her eyes bracing herself

Suddenly he heard the mummy cough, she opened her eyes and saw mummy's face

"You would not believe how stuffy it is in there" He said before jumping out of his tomb and walking towards his jackals.

"How can you speak english?" Nicky asked, Sydney stepped out from Larry's back and stared at the mummy

"I went to Cambridge University" He replied, Nicky looked at him confused

"You went to Cambridge?" Larry asked confused as he stared at the mummy oddly.

"I was in display in the Egyptology Department." He said before facing them

"I am Ahkmenrah, Fourth king of the fourth king, ruler of the land of my father's." He said proudly as he stared at them, Ahkmenrah froze as he saw Sydney staring at him

"Neferra?" He said

"W-What?" Sydney said confused, Ahkmenrah's face softened a bit, his heart started to beat wildly

"Uh, I am uh, Larry, son of Milton, and uh this is my son, Nick, uh and our dear friend, Sydney, we hail from Brooklyn" Larry said trying to sound formal as possible

"Well, I do, he comes out and stays with me in wednesdays and every other weekend, that was the uh custody, agreement that we had" He stopped explaining as he noticed the Pharaoh didn't understand anything he was saying

Ahkmenrah turned to Sydney who was still staring at him, Sydney quickly looked away blushing

He looks so familiar..

She thought

"Larry, Nick, Sydney, Gaurdians of Brooklyn, I am forever in your depth, now, bestow the tablet upon me so that I may resume command of my kingdom" He held out his hand waiting for them to hand him the tablet

"Oh, yes, okay the tablet, I would love to bestow it upon you but we don't actually have it" Larry said as he pointed at the wall where the tablet should be, Ahkmenrah clenched his jaw

"Where is it?" He asked calmly

"Someone stole it" Sydney replied, Ahkmenrah looked at her

"Then we must find and retrieve it." Ahkmenrah said, Larry nodded, and went to check the gate

"Could you please help me remove this?" Ahkemnrah said to Sydney and pointed at his bandaged body, Sydney nodded,

She then helped him remove the bandage. when she finally removed the upper part she blushed as she saw his bare chest

Ahkmenrah noticed Sydney staring at his chest, he took this moment to study her features.

Her features were as sharp as her brown piercing eyes, her plush lips slowly opened, Ahkmenrah gulped

She looks exactly like Neferra, but why doesn't she remember me..?

"Hey, um Ahkmenrah, could you like tell your jackal guys to throw somehing to the gate, so we can like get out?" Larry interrupted, Sydney quickly stepped away from Ahkmenrah.

Ahkmenrah tore his gaze on Sydney and nodded before following Larry to the gate
