(Name) had ran to the library first since it was the closest. Opening the door she was surprised to see a few bodies lying around "J-Johan?" (Name) called out only to get no answer from the blonde scripture. The Queen walked out of the room as string arms grabbed her making her gasp and turn around to see one of the bandits "I got you!" The bandit shouted with pride. (Name) bit the bandit's hand making his grip loosen as she stabbed him in the arm making the bandit fully let go; finally, (name) had stabbed him on the side of the neck before running off again. (Name)'s adrenaline pumped and her blood became cold with fear but she had continued running until she had made t to the Throne Room shocked to see Akefia.

"(Name)?"

Atem questioned noticing his wife's presence. With Atem's guard down Akefia took out his sword slashing at the Pharaoh who had barely dodged the sharp blade causing is top to gain a small rip "don't let your guard down, Pharaoh. I'll take it as an opportunity"  Akefia threatens. Atem glared at the man before him "the same goes for you" Atem warned with a deep tone. (Name) could just watch as the men fight. Turning her gaze she noticed the woman in purple "who are you?" (Name) went up to her quickly making the sorceress stand up from her kneeling position turning away as if ready to run. (Name) was quick to notice this "in the name of the Queen, I demand you to stop" and the sorceress stopped in her tracks "now tell me, who are you?" (Name) asked once again. The purple cloaked sorceress slowly turned around with a smile both happiness and sadness and tears in her eyes "you are indeed, a great Queen. I am deeply sorry for your loss" and with that the sorceress ran away confusing (name). A loud thump was heard making (name) rotate her body once more to see Akefia about to strike Atem, who was on the ground, with his long blade.

Time had slowed down. (Name)'s feet began to move. Akefia's blade grew closer. Atem held his breath, closed his eyes, and clenched his teeth. The seconds began to feel like minutes as if time looked down at them with a pityingly sad face.

The sound of the blade slicing through skin was heard as a cough of pain soon followed. Finally Time had closed his eyes while shaking his head in sorrow as the noble had lost their other. 

Blood dripped onto the floor. A choke was heard as more blood colored the floor. Another thump was heard and the one to come back to reality first... 

Was Atem.

Atem opened his eyes and gasped in shock.

"No."

He said with a cracking voice. Tears began to block his vision as if wanting to hide the scene in front of him.

"No... No! NO! (NAME)!!"

Atem called out. Atem's body wouldn't move. He couldn't move. He was shocked. Paralyzed. AS his blood ran cold, Atem finally gained the feeling of his legs as he crawled to his wife who had taken the blow for him. The blade had stabbed (name) through the chest from behind as the wound let blood continuously pour out "(n-name)" Atem said weakly holding (name) close to his chest. (Name) opened her eyes that filled with tears from the pain "A-Atem..." (Name)'s voice faltered as she looked at the blade sticking out of her chest with her tears flowing down her cheeks "i-it hurts" she squeaked out. Atem panted heavily on the verge of hyperventilation "hold on, (name) I'll-" Atem started to speak while his voice cracked "please, send medical attention for Mahad" (name) interrupted before coughing out crimson blood.

"Well... That was unexpected. Ooh but I do love it when people's hearts turn dark as an after effect. For Pharaoh, I didn't win the throne but I did win the fortune of killing a noble."

Akefia chuckled as he shouted "MEN! RETREAT! WE HAVE DONE ENOUGH!" And soon Akefia and his men had disappeared leaving Akefia and (name) alone in the throne room. 

Atem felt his whole world fall down seeing the love of his life on the brink of death as his tears started off small just like every other problem before growing bigger and bigger. Atem's tears had blocked his vision as they flowed like waterfalls creating an ocean of hurt in his chest.

(Name) placed her bloodied hand on Atem's crying face "please... Don't c-cry Atem. It makes m-me s-sad" (name) smiled softly but Atem could only cry harder "I-I-I c-can't! Th-the thought of you-you l-leaving me hurts me s-so much!" Atem exclaimed as his emotions were going crazy. Atem's body shook with his sobs while he tried to stop his cries but couldn't. 

"Atem."

(Name) spoke out leaning upwards so she could sit up "I want you to be strong Atem. I want you to continue ruling Egypt with the courage and strength you've always had" (name) speaks as tears of her own pricked her eyes. She didn't want to leave Atem and she didn't want to tell Atem about the baby that she had lost but she knew she had too.

"Atem, I have to tell you something." (Name) said with her voice cracking from the tears that leaked from her (e/c) eyes "wh-what is i-it?" Atem sniffled and choked on his sobs "c-congratulations Atem, you're a father" Atem's eyes widen as the tears continued "I-I'm a what?" Atem question feeling as if he didn't hear his wife correctly "you're a father Atem. I've been pregnant all this time" (name) said with a smile. How could she smile in a time like this?

Atem smiled a proud smile as he wiped his tears away "I'm so happy (name). You've dealt with the pain for so long that it puts my pain to shame. Thank you for bearing our child (name)" Atem's tears started to flow from his eyes.

"I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you and the baby. I'm so sorry (name)."

Atem hugged (name) softly as he buried his head into (name)'s hair wanting to go back in time to protect her, to love her more, to help her with the pain of the baby inside her.

"Atem, I l-love you."

Atem's eyes widen as he looked at (name) "please don't leave me" Atem pleaded but (name) shook her head "I can't, Atem. I'd love to stay but I can't" (name) said with tears "thank you for always loving me. Thank you for protecting the weak and maintain this kingdom. May you forever rule" (name) smiled but Atem didn't. He couldn't. Not in this situation. 

"I love you too (name). Thank you for protecting those I couldn't protect. Thank you for being patient with me even when you feared me. Thank you so much. I-I can't imagine how hard my life will be without you."

Atem turned his head away making (name) frown "please look at me Atem. Let me see your smile one more time. I want to remember it when I leave" (name) smiled and Atem turned back and forced on a smile "I'll miss you, (name)" he said and (name) smiled a happy smile "I'll miss you t-too." (Name)'s hand on Atem's face fell as her eyes began to close as she exhaled for the last time.

Atem's smile faltered upon the sight of his still wife. His purple eyes dulled as he felt nothing but despair as he bawled his fist and cried which soon turned to sobs. He held (name) tight letting his feelings and emotions out "why?! Why did that bastard of a thief have to kill you?! Please! Don't leave me (name)! You can't leave me! I CAN'T LIVE A DAY WITHOUT YOU!" Atem smashed his lips on (name)'s feeling the heat slowly leave. 

The next day (name) had been mummified and placed in a tomb ready to be sent to one of the pyramids. Mahad had been bandaged and those who died had been buried. Everyone else was ok physically. Everyone in the village had come to see (name) off including Mrs. Amaya. She didn't blame Atem after hearing the story straight from him. The kids that were saved by her cried and sobbed wanting the Queen to arise but it never happened. Out of all the people there, Atem had felt the most pain for his wife, best friend, the one who was most patent with him, the one whom he wanted to live the rest of his life with, was gone and he couldn't do anything.
