Months have passed and Akefia hadn't even attempt to make an attack making Atem even wonder if he was going to attack soon. Atem's guard was on high alert. He didn't have meetings everyday though so that was good. As Atem and (name) sit on their thrones discussing the issue with Akefia "I don't understand it, (name). What does Akefia plan to do?" Atem sighed with his head leaning back and his hand on his forehead. (Name) sighed "whatever he's doing, he's being extremely careful with it" (name) said with her thumb and index finger on her chin.

A struck of pain zapped in (name)'s stomach making her lean forward clenching her stomach. Atem gasped with surprise "are you ok, (name)?!" He asked getting out of his throne and kneeling in front of his Queen with worry. (Name) took a deep breath in exhaling slowly 'the baby' (name) blinked away her tears "I-I'm fine" (name) said reassuringly standing up and so did Atem; and as if on cue, Priest Seto walked into the room "Pharaoh, we have a matter that you need to attend to" and two guards brought in a man with chains connecting his wrists together doing the same to his ankles. Atem had demanded for them to explain the situattion while giving the man a worries gaze.

"We caught him looking into the palace through one of the palace windows. We think he might be a spy."

The priest says with a hardened glare (or resting bitch face if you prefer that). Atem looks at the man "raise your head" he demands and the strange man does so showing his grayish green eyes that showed fear, "tell me with all the honesty in your soul, what were you doing?" Atem asked the man kindly. The man, for some reason, looked at (name) as he raised his chained arms pointing at her saying "her. H-he wants her. He m-made me look f-for her" in a shaking voice. Atem, Seto, and (name)'s eyes widened "who? Who wants her?" Atem question. The man shook his head slowly "I can't- I can't tell you. He'll hurt Abayomi if I tell" Atem and (name) could feel the fear radiating off the man.

"Who is Abayomi?"

(Name) asked. The man looked at her with shaking eyes "sh-she's my daughter. My only daughter and she is my world! If he were to hurt her then I am willing to throw myself in a pit of fire! Please! I beg of you! Save my daughter!" (Name) felt empathy for the man before her "we promise to save your daughter, but first you must tell us who has her" Atem spoke up. (Name) looked at Atem and then back to the man who debated whether or not to tell. Seto glared at the man so had not yet answered "the Pharaoh just asked you a question, peasant" the man flinched at Seto's cold and harsh voice. Atem gave a quick glare at Seto but turned back to the man "the Th-Thief K-king" everyone who was in the room grew eyes wide like circular plates 'why would he choose a commoner man to do his bidding?' Atem asked himself. The man screamed as he looked above "PLEASE FORGIVE ME! I DID AS YOU SAID NOW GIVE BACK ABAYOMI!" In a shock, Atem and (name) look up seeing nothing but the ceiling above them.

Suddenly, an arrow makes its way through the air and into the man's chest causing the man to cough out blood. Atem looked closer seeing an arrow make its way towards them "(NAME)!!" Atem wraps his arms around (name) pulling her to him a bit too harshly causing the two to fall down the steps.

"PHARAOH! QUEEN!"

Priest Seto shouted with alarm. More people had ran to the room shocked to see the scene in front of them. Atem sat up first "(name), are you alright?" Atem asked "yes, I'm fine" (name) answered opening her eyes sitting up as well. A sinister cackle was heard making the two look around the room until a bright red clock came into vision "Akefia" Atem said harshly making the eyes of the Thief King to widen in humor "why hello Pharaoh. Queen" Akefia chuckled as (name) glared at the Thief King but something seemed... Off about Akefia that (name) nor Atem could name what it was but it sure left a lingering feeling of misfortune. Atem raised his arms signalling for his guards to attack. An arrow shot Akefia in the chest causing the Thief to fall onto the clean floors as drops of blood dropped onto the floor.

"Take him out! I don't want to see his face, let alone his corpse, around here again."

Atem demanded. The guards nod their head and carry Akefia out while the slaves had begun cleaning the floor after being asked by Atem. (Name) looked at Atem with worry 'that seemed so easy. I'm hoping that Akefia had been weakened' (name) said to herself. She looked at Atem's grim face as she entangled her fingers with his own making the tense Atem to calm. (Name) took Atem out of the room "at least he's gone now so you don't have to worry about war" (name) smiled softly. Atem nodded his head "thank you, (name)" Atem gave a kiss to (name)'s cheek as the Queen blushed kissing Atem's cheek back in exchange. Then they walked around the palace and gardens with their cats just enjoying each others' presence.

"Phase Four: Getting their guards down. Check" the evil shadow chuckled and turned away before walking off into the distance where he would prepare. Prepare the death of the Pharaoh.
