You were born to dance... but you didn't think you were any good.

You had just finished loading the dishwasher, and your favorite BTS song started to play from your phone:  'FAKE LOVE.'

You knew all of Jungkook's choreography — seeing as he's the only member of BTS you can actually put a name and a face to — and you enjoyed dancing to this song whenever it came on.

You were so deep into your own little world that you didn't realize San was watching you from the doorway. He watched with a smile, knowing that you were enjoying yourself.

When the song finished, San clapped for you. You turned around with wide eyes, seeing your boyfriend. "I-I... um... h-how much of that did you see?"

San smiled as he walked to you, wrapping his arms around your waist. "Enough to know that my girlfriend is excellent at dancing."

You looked down, avoiding his loving gaze. "You're just saying that because I was awful at dancing."

San placed two fingers under your chin, forcing you to look into his eyes.

"Y/N... you are not awful at dancing. You're a great dancer! Don't doubt your talents — I happen to love you and your beautiful dancing. Seeing you doing something you love makes me happy. Don't be hard on yourself, baby."

You smiled as he kissed your head. "You really are the best in the world, Sannie."

"No, my love. You're the best in the world."

Wave - ATEEZ

Mingi found out you could dance on accident.

You did a lot of dancing, including some that originated from TikTok. You had been scrolling through your TikTok feeds, seeing a lot of people attempting to imitate some KPOP dances, including a few ATEEZ dances.

One dance in particular really caught your eye. 'Wave,' which was one of the group's earliest songs they ever released. You laughed to yourself as you watched so many people fail to attempt your boyfriend, Mingi's, choreography.

You set your phone up and pressed record, dancing as Mingi had danced during the song. After you finished recording, you published your TikTok. In the first half hour, you got hundreds of likes and thousands of comments.

You heard the sound of someone running down the stairs, and you saw that it was none other than Mingi. He looked a little out of breath.

"Mingi? Are you okay?"

Mingi smiled brightly. "I'm more than okay. I just saw your TikTok — I saw how amazing you were when you were dancing!"

You giggled. "Thank you; I did learn from some of the best people."

"I was wondering... could you do the whole dance for me, please? I want to see just how much of the choreo that you know!"

Let's just say that Mingi was asking for you to dance for him at least twice a week after that.

BOOMBAYAH - BLACKPINK

It's not that you don't like dancing in front of people... you just rarely get a chance to do so.

The boys had a day off today, so they were taking this opportunity to relax and lounge around the house for a bit. The relaxation ended when Yeosang ran into the main sitting room:  "LET'S HAVE A DANCE PARTY!"

You and Wooyoung looked at one another, silently asking yourselves if you should join Yeosang in his dance party. After a few seconds, you both gave Yeosang nods of approval. The others agreed, and moved some of the furniture around in the room so everyone would have more room to dance.

You and Wooyoung were having fun. Everyone was doing their own little dances to whatever song played over the speakers.

But when 'BOOMBAYAH' started playing, you went into another world. You walked to the middle of the room, joining Mingi, Hongjoong, and Seonghwa for the dance. You took the role of Jisoo, Mingi was Lisa, Hongjoong was Jennie, and Seonghwa was Rosé.

Yunho, San, Yeosang, Jongho, and Wooyoung just watched with wonder. Yes, Wooyoung enjoyed watching his friends dance to a BLACKPINK song, but he mostly enjoyed watching you dance. You were beautiful, strong, and graceful — you were being yourself and having fun.

When the song finished, you four got cheers from the others, as well as from each other. Once the excitement died down, Wooyoung took you into the kitchen so you could talk.

You smiled at him, still a bit out of breath from dancing. "Did-Did you like it?"

"I didn't like it... I absolutely loved it. How come I didn't know that you could dance, Y/N?" Wooyoung asked excitedly.

You shrugged. "I can dance; I just didn't tell you. And it's not because I don't trust you, Woo. It's because I don't usually get opportunities to dance for people."

Wooyoung smiled and peppered your face with kisses. "Well, I know 8 people who would love it if you danced for them, darling. One in particular would love it if you could dance for him more often."

You smiled and gave Wooyoung a proper kiss. "I will definitely be dancing a lot more often now."

Say My Name - ATEEZ

Today was not a good day for the boys.

While practicing their choreography for 'Say My Name,' Hongjoong stepped wrong and twisted his ankle. Now the group's hyung was unable to continue practicing, and this initiated a panic among the others.

You had stopped at KQ to bring the boys their lunch, knowing that they needed to eat during their break. Walking into the studio, you set your bag and the food down and rushed over to Hongjoong and Jongho, who were sitting down. You took a look at the leader's ankle, which was now iced, and you gave his cheek a pat.

"Let me guess:  you stepped wrong?"

Hongjoong nodded, a sour look on his face. "And now I can't dance until it heals."

Jongho shook his head, "We're going to have to cancel rehearsal for today, Y/N. We've been brushing up on our dancing for 'Say My Name.' Now that Hongjoong is temporarily down, we can't do the choreography."

You looked up at your boyfriend, the group's hyung, and the rest of the group. An idea popped into your head. "What if someone stepped in temporarily for him? Someone that knows the choreography?"

Jongho ran a hand through his hair. "Darling, where are we going to find a substitute Hongjoong? No one else knows his choreography except himself and us," he motioned to himself and the rest of ATEEZ.

"Not necessarily," you spoke up. "I know it."

8 heads turned in your direction. You suddenly felt shy for even volunteering yourself. You were about to recount your statement, but Seonghwa started talking to you.

"You know Hongjoong's choreography, Y/N?"

You nodded wordlessly. "I've studied every move, every beat, and every count. But if you guys are uncomfortable having a girl dancing with you, that's fine. I don't even know why I volunteered myself — "

Jongho interrupted you. "No, that's perfect! We should let you dance with us. You said it yourself: you know Hongjoong's choreography perfectly. Please, baby? Please dance with us?"

You looked at your boyfriend, his friends, and the injured leader before caving in. "All right. I'll do it."

Jongho wasted no time pressing kisses all over your face. The rest of ATEEZ gave you looks of gratitude, appreciating that you'd help them when they so desperately need it.

Dancing as Hongjoong was easy for you, and it was a shock for the boys to see you dance so well and nail every move on your first try. Jongho and Hongjoong were most proud, giving you the loudest cheers when the song finished.

Jongho smiled as he put you on his back, happily running around the dance studio with you in tow. "Y/N L/N IS THE BEST DANCER GIRLFRIEND EVER!"
