C.J.H || Hair Cut
"First off," Jongho started his argument, "you can't just mess up your hair whenever any minor inconvenience happens in your life."
"Hey!" Kami whined out, offended by how he called her out, "I literally never cut my hair before, you liar!"
"Yeah, but you dyed it some horrifying colors!" he argued back.
"What do you mean by horrifying? My lime phase was a moment in history," Kami huffed.
"The death of Alexander the Great is a moment in history, too," Jongho snickered making her gasp.
"Ugh, it's not like I'm asking you to buy me a diamond ring, Jongho, just cut my hair!" Kami sighed in frustration.
"I'd rather get you a diamond ring than cut your hair! If I mess up you'll hate me for as long as it takes for it to grow back, or even more!" Jongho spat back.
"Then don't mess up!" Kami scoffed.
"Wow, why are you pursuing medicine, you are so smart they should make you an honorary graduate," he replied with heavy sarcasm.
"I know, right?" Kami sighed before letting herself fall against the mattress she was sitting on.
"Well, then, smartass why don't you go to the actual hair salon instead of asking me to cut your hair?" Jongho asked her, and she immediately rolled her eyes.
"They are scammers! Zena went to them for a trim and they made her pay 75 dollars!" Kami exclaimed. "Besides, I've seen this couple on TikTok do it, and they looked so cute," she muttered with a pout.
"Last time you saw that guy that sews dresses for his girlfriend and almost made me enroll in sewing courses," Jongho recalled with a chuckle as he walked from where he was leaning against the door frame to sit on the side of the bed Kami was laying on.
"Shut up, it already sucks that you aren't a gynecologist," Kami groaned out loud which made him laugh as he slumped on the bed beside her.
"Too bad I met you after I enrolled in university," he breathed out before his hands grabbed a strand of her hair to examine it. "Why do you even want to cut it, it's pretty the way it is," he sighed.
"I don't know," she sighed back, "but I feel like this semester is so prolonged that I am reliving the same routine for years on end, even if it's through something dumb, I want to break the routine."
"Hmm," Jongho hummed, "you graduate in 3 semesters, right?"
"What's with the question, yes, I do," Kami replied.
"So even if I mess up, it'll grow back by your graduation ceremony," he rephrased, and it made her sit up straight so quickly she almost pulled a muscle.
"So you're willing to do it?" Kami concluded excitedly.
"Sure, your hair always gets on my side of the bed anyway," Jongho shrugged.
"Yes!" Kami cheered before bending down and hugging him, allowing her weight to crush him beneath her completely.
A blush crept on his cheeks and made him feel like a dumb teenager. He patted her back gently before he removed her hair that was getting in his face.
"Again, I am not responsible for the result!" Jongho stated clearly.
"I mean, how bad could it get?"
"Oh my gosh!" Kami cried, "it's terrible!"
"Hey, I told you it is none of my busi–" Jongho tried to defend himself only for her to cut him off.
"Look at how short it is, Jongho!" she yelled out. "I told you at the end of my neck, not at my chin!"
"Well, it isn't like I intended–"
"I look ugly!" Kami spoke as tears rolled down her cheek.
"Hey, relax, it's ok," Jongho panicked when he saw her tears, "I only cut one side, so we can still fix the rest."
"No." Kami shook her head as her hands covered her mouth and nose.
"I'm so sorry, Mimi," Jongho apologized when he saw how upset she was, and he wrapped his arms around her from behind.
"It's not your fault, I asked you to," she muttered between hiccups.
"No, I'll take you to a hairstylist and get your hair fixed, ok?" Jongho offered the crying girl who only nodded. He bent down to peck the crown of her head. "Why do you always have to suffer then listen to what I say at the end?" Jongho sighed against her hair.
"Because you always make it up to me," Kami chuckled as she wiped her tears, "you are enabling my toxic traits."
"Even when I'm nice you paint me as the devil," Jongho rolled his eyes before pulling away, but Kami held his hands and turned around on the chair to stop him from walking away.
"Thanks for always keeping up with my impulsive behaviors," Kami spoke sincerely with a laugh.
"There's nothing to thank me for, I'll always gladly tell you 'I told you so'," Jongho joked as he hauled her up to stand. His fingers stroked through the chunk of hair he cut before humming to himself. "It actually suits you though."
"What?" Kami asked in disbelief as she turned to see herself in the mirror behind her. "No, it doesn't."
"Look," Jongho pulled a strand behind her ear, and stroked through the rest to lay flat. "You look like Ava Max."
"Ugh, I thought you were being serious," Kami tried to push him off as his laugh echoed in the bathroom they were in.
"No, but seriously, see how it'd be if we cut the other side," Jongho moved her hair up so that her ends are on the same level as the other side he cut.
"Hmm," Kami considered it. "You're right actually.
"I always am, but yeah, I'm not gonna cut the rest of it or you'll be a dollar store Ava Max. Let's actually go to a hairstylist." Kami rolled her eyes and chuckled at his words.
Jongho let go of the hair he was holding, and smoothed it down with his fingers. "Mimi," he called her out as he looked at her. She turned to find him really close.
"Hmm?" Kami asked through her flustered state.
"I don't think it'll grow back by your graduation," Jongho informed with an underlying chuckled that made Kami giggle before she leaned in to connect their lips.
