Seongjoong pt.5 (F, A)
"Ok, Atiny!" Hongjoong announced, trying to repair the fragile shards of an emotional mirror this fansign was being reduced to. "Who wants to get their albums and photobooks signed?"
All of the Atinys cheered eagerly in anticipation and immediately got in line for a chance to get an autograph from one of the members. About thirty minutes later, after the signing of the Atinys' many different possessions was almost over, Seonghwa emerged from backstage, looking remarkably emotionally composed.
A couple fans ran over to Hwa frantically, asking him, "Seonghwa-oppa, are you ok? Is your stomach feeling better?''
Seonghwa smiled at them tenderly. One thing was for sure, no matter how sad or angry he was feeling, Ateez's adoring, kind fans always were able to cheer him up. "I'm feeling better now, thank you for asking. Do any of you want an autograph or selfie with me?''
~Slight Time Skip~
The fansign was starting to wrap up, with only about half an hour left. Thankfully, they only had one more thing on the schedule - the paper kiss game... The game was infamous for going very wrong, so all the Atinys and even a few of the members were excited to see how it would go. One of Ateez's staff members told all of them to get in a line.
Seonghwa and Hongjoong were quite confused, not knowing that Yeosang had added this little game to the schedule as part of his aforementioned secret plan. "Huh?" They both asked at once. "Why do we have to get in a line?" Of course, since they both asked the same question at the same time, the couple turned beet-red and then acted as though they didn't hear the other.
"We're playing the paper kiss game!" San exclaimed, with a sly glance at Wooyoung, who winked back at him.
"WHAT?" They shouted, again at once, this time attracting the attention of a couple curious Atinys.
"Is there a problem, hyungs?" Yeosang asked innocently, even though he was starting to smirk smugly.
"No no, no problem at all," Hongjoong tittered nervously.
Oh no, what if...
No, Hongjoong couldn't even bring himself to think of what might happen...
Meanwhile, Seonghwa's thoughts were having a fight to the death inside his head. This is a good thing - no, it's not! Just think what might happen, how will you resist? No, that's nonsense! This will give you the perfect opportunity! No, it won't!"
Seonghwa was so deep in thought, he didn't even hear the staff member telling them to switch the order they were standing in. Yeosang, being the shipper that he was, had earlier instructed the staff member with the specific order that he wanted everyone in.
"Ok, guys, based on height, I want Yunho first, Mingi, Jongho, Yeosang, Wooyoung, San, Hongjoong, and finally Seonghwa."
Seonghwa raised his eyebrows in confusion, as this was most certainly not based on height, but he did what he was told anyway. As you can imagine, the Atinys squealed as they saw the line taking shape, providing perfect opportunities for ships to sail.
Meanwhile, Hongjoong was in a cold sweat, as was Seonghwa when the couple noticed they were beside each other. However, neither had time to put together their scattered thoughts before the staff passed Yunho the piece of paper to begin the game.
Yunho and Mingi were a blushing mess as they struggled to pass the piece of paper between their lips, but no slip-ups happened. Mingi then gave it to Jongho, who dropped it in his effort to avoid any contact with Mingi. He picked it up, grabbed Yeosang's shoulders, and leaned in to pass it to him. This earned claps, cheers, and whistles from the crowd of hysteric Atinys. Their long awaited Jongsang ship finally appeared to be sailing. There were many signs of disappointment when the paper was successfully passed between Jongho and Yeosang without any bare lip contact.
Yeosang gave it to Wooyoung next, rolling his eyes as Wooyoung made a big show of dipping Yeosang to exchange the paper. The crowd laughed at his antics while San seethed in jealousy. Wooyoung then aggressively grabbed San's cheeks and tilted his head toward him. They passed the paper between them, but it slipped a little, causing their lips to brush. Atinys went insane at this, and they began to chant, "Woosan, Woosan, Woosan!"
San and Wooyoung did a dramatic bow, and the audience gave them a standing ovation. San passed the paper to Hongjoong carefully, not wanting to accidentally kiss the leader. Thankfully, nothing awkward happened. Now it was Hongjoong's turn to pass it to Seonghwa. As Hongjoong, visibly shaking with nerves, leaned over to Seonghwa, his mind raced and began to move into dark places.
He was afraid of what Seonghwa might do in front of everyone, but he was also scared of what his reaction might be. After all, Seonghwa was already pissed at him, he didn't want to anger his boyfriend further. Before he could continue pondering though, Seonghwa whispered in his ear with a sultry tone, "Let's give them a show, shall we?''
Hongjoong practically swooned at this, his knees becoming jelly and his heart beating irregularly. His brain said, f**k this, and he passed the paper to Seonghwa with a ferocity quite unlike himself. Seonghwa's lips connected with Hongjoong's as the paper fell. The couple's arms wrapped around each other in a tender embrace as the material world virtually melted away. Now the world was nothing but feelings finally reaching their full extent - albeit in front of a crowd. Seonghwa started to use a little bit of tongue, making Hongjoong let out a small, soft moan. They only surfaced from their passion-filled stupor when pandemonium began to erupt around them.
Everyone was screaming, whether in horror or happiness, Hongjoong couldn't tell. The rest of the members were staring at Seonghwa and Hongjoong, dumbfounded. Yeosang smirked at the two, their arms still fastened about each other, guilty looks on their faces. "Guess my plan worked out, as usual."
Atinys were still in an apocalyptic state of chaos, screaming, snapping pictures, and jumping around with what appeared to Hongjoong like excitement. He didn't want anyone to get hurt, so he grabbed a microphone and shouted, "Ok, everyone, please calm yourselves down!"
All the Atinys quieted, wanting to hear what Hongjoong would say next. He took Seonghwa's hand and pulled him to the center of the stage. "So, I think you all can tell Seonghwa and I have something to say... the thing is, we're dating! I understand that not every one of you will be ok with that-"
"There's the door for the homophobes," Yeosang proclaimed, gesturing to the exit. No one got up and left. Rather, they all began to applaud thunderously and gave Yeosang a standing ovation. Yeosang bowed dramatically but brought Seonghwa and Hongjoong forward. "I think our lovely couple are the real stars of the show, don't you all?"
Every Atiny screamed and applauded once more. "So, I take it you guys approve, then?" Hongjoong questioned, a huge grin on his face. "YES", everyone shouted.
Hongjoong was ecstatic. He never imagined that all the Atinys here today would be ok with his and Seonghwa's relationship, but maybe dreams do come true after all. He looked over at his boyfriend and noticed that he was trying hard to contain himself. Seonghwa's eyes were filled with tears, and a few were beginning to drip out.
"Seonghwa, are you ok?" inquired Hongjoong, concerned.
"Of course, these are happy tears, Joongie," Seonghwa said, embracing his boyfriend. "I never expected Atiny to be so accepting of our relationship."
"Me neither, I'm just grateful they are."
Suddenly, the manager walked onstage to make an announcement. "Well, I hope all of you had an amazing time today. It certainly was an eventful day," he said, winking at Seonghwa and Hongjoong. "I'm so glad all of you support our Ateez members in their dating relationships. Speaking of, the rest of the members have something to tell you."
He ushered Yeosang to the front and handed him a mic. "Hello Atiny," Yeosang said. "I've got some very interesting news for you all. Jongho, would you come here, please?"
Jongho strode up to Yeosang with a big gummy smile on his face. He knew what Yeosang was about to announce, and if Atiny liked what Hongjoong had just revealed, they would love this even more...
Yeosang grabbed Jongho's hand and lifted it high, as if to proclaim their relationship to the heavens. "So, in case you can't tell, Jongho and I are boyfriends!" There were more cheers and claps out of all the Atinys. All their favorite ships were turning out to be real. "Oh, and if it isn't already obvious, Wooyoung and San have a thing for each other," Yeosang added nonchalantly as the audience chuckled.
San promptly removed his arms from around Wooyoung and stood there sheepishly while Wooyoung blushed furiously. Jongho grabbed the mic and butted in, "If you are all wondering about Mingi and Yunho, don't worry, Yeosang set them up on a blind date. It must've worked, cause they finally confessed their feelings to each other after eons of endless flirting." Yunho grinned while Mingi hid his face out of embarrassment.
Yeosang snatched back the mic from Jongho. "Well, now that we've spilled all the details of our personal lives, we have one more surprise for you - everyone gets a signed poster!" Yet another round of cheers overwhelmed the room as staff members distributed the posters. Hongjoong took the mic from Yeosang to wrap up what had most certainly been the most eventful fansign in k-pop history.
"Thank you, Atiny, for being here today. I hope everyone had an amazing time and that you enjoyed the, uh, interesting events," Hongjoong said, side glancing at Seonghwa, who winked at him. "Typically, we don't show much of our personal lives, but you all definitely got a front-row seat..."
The audience giggled while the members shifted around nervously. They all knew they were in for a lecture back at the dorms. "I was quite surprised by all the relationship reveals today," Hongjoong admitted, raising his eyebrows at the members, "as I'm sure you all were. I just want to thank you again for being so supportive. Our belief as Ateez is 'love is love', and I'm very glad that our fans support that, too. You have no idea how much your constant love and support means to me and Ateez," Hongjoong choked out, his eyes tearing up.
Seonghwa, seeing his boyfriend's situation, ran over to hug him. He took the mic and said, "Thank you, Atiny, we love you! Can't wait to see you all at the next fansign. Good night from me, my boyfriend, and all of Ateez!"
Everyone began to clear out of the auditorium, Atiny and Ateez alike. It had been a long, eventful day, and the members wanted to get back to their dorms. Once they arrived, they braced themselves for what would most certainly be a long, stern lecture from their short-tempered leader. But that lecture never came.
Yeosang ordered pizza and Jongho picked the movie for the night, A Quiet Place 2, much to Mingi's disapproval. The two had opposite taste in movies, since Jongho enjoyed action and suspense, while Mingi loved comedy. All the members settled in the living room, prepared to stuff themselves and fry their brains, when Yunho asked, "Hey, where's Seonghwa and Hongjoong?"
Wooyoung and San giggled while Jongho and Mingi rolled their eyes. "Uh, I believe Seonghwa and Hongjoong are a bit, um, preoccupied right now," Yeosang explained, winking at Yunho.
"Oh right, I forgot. You should've seen them the minute they stepped in the door. Couldn't keep their hands off each other," Yunho snickered.
"I'm trying to eat here, Yunho," Jongho chastised.
"Sorry," Yunho apologized. He didn't want to piss off the apple Hulk, so he promptly shut up.
"Let's start the movie, shall we?" Yeosang suggested. There were no protests, as no one wanted to continue the conversation about Seonghwa and Hongjoong's doings in the other room. The members watched their movie while the two eldest had a blissful, almost utopian first time.
(I'm not writing details, use your imagination, if you have one...) Y'all are already dirty-minded enough lol :)
Overall, it had truly been a day that would reside in the members' minds for many years to come. None of them could've asked for a better outcome than this. All four couples were allowed to date with no restrictions, not to mention the endearing support of Atiny. It was the perfect conclusion to their story in a world with countless endings.
Author's Note:
Well, more than a year later, I finally finish this oneshot series. Just think, I started using Wattpad in March 2020 when quarantine began and I had injured my ankle, so I was laid up in bed with nothing to do. I had also just recently gotten into k-pop. Eventually, I got interested with the idea of writing fanfics, and that's where my story begins.
Hopefully it was a good story overall. I've matured a lot since I started writing this series a year and a half ago, and in my opinion, my writing has drastically improved. But let me know what y'all think! I love comments, especially funny ones. I'm open to any ideas or suggestions of things to change and fix (within reason). I'm sorry I didn't get around to writing this sooner, but life has been crazy since I posted the previous part of this story. I'm literally going to graduate from high school in 5 months. I don't know where time has gone, it feels like high school went by in a blur. I will not be writing anymore on this app unless I somehow get the uncontrollable urge to do so. However, I will make an effort to read more fanfics and interact with the more social aspects of this amazing platform more often.
P.S. there are a few editing mistakes I can only fix on my phone, so I will take care of that tomorrow
I hope y'all have an amazing new year!
Signing off for the last time as a writer,
Sarah (aka Seongjoong_Forever)
