XV. FIFTEEN

── ✧《✩》✧ ──

I caught a really nasty cold, this one was worst then the previous ones. I was gone for an entire week. I was throwing up everywhere, my lungs burned and I felt as if was dying. The club actually stopped by and wished me to get better...

I hated being sick... in this sick body that isn't even mine. Why did I have to get cursed with this?

I hate the way people look down at me. I feel so helpless and weak...

Nonetheless, I made a hard recovery. I plopped down next to my sister and greeted the two customers we had. Hina and Kozue.

"Y/n, did you hear about what's happening?" Haruhi asked.

   "What's going on?"

"Apparently, afternoon classes are canceled today?" she turned to the girls.

"My, you didn't know?" Hina looked at the both of us.

Kozue picked up her tea cup, "The school is holding a campus-wide exhibition event for the cultural clubs these next two days. We also invite the thespian groups and choirs from other schools, so it's a big annual event."

I hummed and listened to the girls go on and on about neighborly schools. At some point, Haruhi walked the girls to the exit. Renge quickly showed up and demanded that we hand her a drink.

I hopped off the couch, "stay here, I'll get you some instant coffee."

    "What even is that?"

The twins' jaws dropped. "What?! You've never drunk it before?"

Hikaru immediately jumped in. "It's like the favorite drink for everyone in the Host Club right now..."

"So as the manager, you have to drink it, too."

Renge's face paled. "I-I don't know what instant coffee is.."

"It's completely different." Hikaru grinned. "There's not a single trace of beans in instant coffee."

"You just boil the powder with hot water and drink it like that. Truly an amazing creation."

"Because, even though it's coffee, it's not strong at all."

"But you get addicted to it for some reason."

The twins finally finished their rant about instant coffee to the poor French girl. She looked frazzled. The twins rushed me to the kitchen, excited to give Renge her first cup of coffee.

Their grins quickly dimmed the moment they found the cabint empty.

"Oh yeah, we ran out—" I sighed and then felt their hands on my shoulder. I could feel their hot breaths on my neck.

   Why is it always me...?

That's how Haruhi and I ended up walking out of the supermarket. Our arms were bundled up with instant coffee.

"God..this is like...one hundred dollars of instant coffee." I shook my head.

"It was actually 150." She sighed.

We opted out from taking public transportation and just decided to walk back to the school. It was only like a 30 minute walk anyways.

    It was quiet.

"Do you think the twins are different?" She asked out of the blue.

   We stopped in our tracks.

I asked her, "What do you mean by that?"

"Well..." she started walking again. "It was something that Kozue and Hina were saying....they said that the twins had changed. Especially changed since we've come to this school."

"Are you sure it's because of us?" I asked her.

    "That's what they said."

"Pfft, it's probably just you, Haru. They barely talk to me."

    "They talk to you."

"Not really. Outside of Mori—even then, that's a man with little words. Nobody in the club talks to me. I'm only there to help you out."

I didn't even notice that I started speed walking.

   "N/n! Wait!—"

I heard her bags fall. I spun around to expect Haruhi on the ground, instead she was in the arms of some random lady.

    "What the fuck—?"

The lady lets down Haruhi, she caresses her face with her long fingers. "It would be very bad if you got any scars on your cute face... madam."

"Ah... Ahh...!" Haruhi quickly rushed to my side.

"Who are you—" I questioned as the lady spun towards us.

She reminded me of Tamaki, but if Tamaki was a woman...and had a skirt...and had brown hair...and had a different uniform then ours... and... and —you get what I'm saying.

"My oh my." She gripped both of our hands and dragged us back in the direction of the host club. "It's my lucky day to be blessed with your faces. It makes it better that it's two lovely ladies."

"Hello???? Answer my question? Who the fuck are you?" I asked.

"My names Benio...but you can call me your's."

I looked at Haruhi and she shrugged. I guess she had no problem being dragged away by a strange lady.

If she's okay with it, then I guess I'm alright with it as well.

Usually the walk back to the school takes a while, but with this strong lady, we basically flew back to the school. The hallways were empty.

'Gosh, everyone must be at that exhibition event for the cultural clubs...'

We turned the corner and before we could even open the door to room number 3, we heard arguing.

A high pitched voice scoffed. "Ha! You talk like you know everything."

"That was pretty harsh." Tamaki's voice wavered.

"It's so pathetic and painful" A deeper voice complained.

"Then what kind of words do you desire?" Tamaki said.

That's when Benio grinned and opened the door. I covered my eyes as we were flashed. "Let's see. If it were me, I would never leave my lover alone."

  Tamaki's jaw dropped.

Benio tried grabbing into my hands but I quickly noped out of it. Instead heading to the kitchen. I really don't like having these girls around, even in the episode I was really annoyed with them. I doubt I'll be able to control my anger...

She shrugged and took Haruhi's hands instead. Together they acted out a dramatic scene, "We shall fight together... and we shall perish together if we are not allowed to live. Even if my life ends, I swear to never leave your side for eternity."

They ended their little sitcom with a kiss on Haruhi's hand. I snickered at her uncomfortable face as I put away the millions of coffee.

The other girls quickly pushed Tamaki out of the way and rushed to the taller woman.

"Benibara-sama, you're late." A girl with her hair cut into a medium bob pouted her lips.

"And where did you pick up such a charming lady?" The other commented, her hair was the longest out of the three.

I watched them from a distance, slowly inching over to the rest of the host club.

"Ah, just out there. I could tell immediately, even if she was wearing mens' clothes." Benio, flicked her almost buzz cut. She leans Haruhi backwards as if to kiss her. "Behold, her lucid maiden eyes!"

Haruhi quickly tried distancing  herself. "Excuse me..."

The girls, Chizuru and Hinako, rubbed Haruhi's skin.

"My, her skin is so beautiful." One said.

"Really... She is great material that can be sharpened into something brilliant." The other grinned.

"Hold it! Don't be touching my Haruhi without my permission!" Tamaki shrieked.

He immediately charged the group, but Benio punches him away. She quite literally just flicked him away.

Benio Frowned. "Don't touch her, you snob!"

"S-She punched me! She's so violent!" Tamaki held his cheek and clung to me.

Honey came over and patted his head. "Tama-chan, be strong!"

"They are even more inferior than rumors say." Benio frowned. She made eye contact with me. "A group of randomly selected light-minded fiends with little history."

"That uniform... You girls are from Lobelia Girls' Academy, right?" Kyouya hummed.

The three confirmed it. They quickly ripped off their uniforms to reveal theatre-esque costumes. The group harmonized a melody... Lo..? La?

   Lobelia? Definitely.

   "Lobelia~!"

    "Lobelia~!"

    "Lobelia~!!"

Benio spun. "St. Lobelia Girls' Academy high school junior, Amakusa. Zuka Club!"

"Lobelia~! Chizuru High school junior, Maihara Chizuru. Zuka Club ♪ Lobelia~!" The long hair girl grinned.

"Hinako High school freshman, Tsuwabuki Hinako. Zuka Club ♪ Lobelia~!!" the girl with the bob said.

Benio tied it all together, "We are the White Lily Society of St. Lobelia Girls' Academy.  We are also known as... the Zuka Club!"

    The room fell silent.

That's before everyone let out high pitched screams and laughs. The girls faces flashed red.

"Hahahahaha! Awesome naming sense!" Hikaru screamed.

"Zuka Club, man! My stomach hurts!" Kaoru clutched his stomach. "Zuka Club is the best!"

He continued, "This is too much! They went through the trouble of hiding costumes under their uniforms!"

"Ahem! You cannot underestimate the Zuka Club!"

I looked around for our favorite redhead. She quickly emerged from the ground. She was put on a pedestal, wearing the girls school uniform.

"Ohohoho..." she flashed her new outfit at us. "I may not know instant coffee, but leave it to me to be more about girl schools." She used Kyouya's hands and hopped down from the platform. "Thank you, St. Lobelia Girls' Academy: the garden of maidens.  Within the school, the Zuka Club are a gathering of maidens who are amongst the strongest advocates of women supremacy. A society that prides itself for its thirty-year history, it is a society of maidens, by maidens, and for maidens.  Activities of the Zuka Club include the maiden tea party, the maiden discussions, and above all, the musical show presented by the top members of the society."

She had a whole PowerPoint and everything about the school.

Kyouya grinned. "Renge-kun, you cover a wide field of knowledge."

"This is nothing more than admiration on my part. The fact that there are no guys around spells utter failure for me." she sighed.

"A maiden's beauty... It is a pure energy that rivals exterior looks, power, and lust." Hinako praised Renge.

    "Because we're women."

    "We're just women."

Benio grinned at the two girls. "We are tired of this oppressive discrimination of women by men. Our pride. A mutual relationship from the depths of our souls because of our common gender and resolve." She pointed at us. "For example, it could even be a love relationship."

Chizuru looked as if she were to faint. "Oh you, Benio."

    "Benibara-sama..." The other girl swooned.

Everyone in the room let out a big sigh before going back to doing their own thing. I had no issue zoning out the Zuka Club members.

Kaoru sighed, "Ah, I'm tired of laughing."

"Actually, just go home." Hikaru agreed.

"Oh my, oh my. Are you all speechless before our noble love?" Hinako grabbed her cheeks. She swayed at the idea.

    Again there was another pause.

"What is she talking about?" Hikaru asked me.

"mhm." I shrugged my shoulders as Kaoru rolled his eyes. Making a sort of a gagged face at the girls.

This made Hinako upset, she had Chizuru pull her into a hug. She caressed the females face, "Stop making fun of them, Hinagiku. They are very troubled because their best host techniques don't work on us."

'God they're so egocentric-it makes me irritated.'

"Hah. However, it was worthwhile to have come to peek at this notorious Ouran Host Club after our show."  Benio scowled.

I had enough of their conversation and slowly headed to the kitchen. I decided to make cups of coffee for everyone.

All that arguing must make them thirsty.

   "We're notorious?" Honey asked.

   "Who knows?" Mori shrugged.

Benio puts her hand to the side of Haruhi's head. They were so close it looked as if she was trying to fuse with Haruhi.

"I cannot believe they've got such a helpless female student involved in their activities." Benio sighed.

"But what about her?" I looked up from my cup to face Hinako.

How did she even got that close so fast?!

I was so focused on the instant coffee, I didn't even notice the girls looking at me. I jumped backwards. Almost, knocking over the instant coffee.

"I didn't even notice you!" The short-haired girl looked back between me and Haruhi. "You look so much alike, may I ask if you are maidens related?"

"Uhh, we're twins?" I confess. Truely, sometimes I do forget that in this universe we look a lot alike. Only slight differences.

"Why do you sit with these lowly scums instead of with us—" she gripped my hands and tried to pull me out from the kitchen.

"Exactly, why don't you join your other half and come with us." Beino sighed.

"I mean—I like the club I'm in now."

    "How could you?" They scowled.

    "Excuse me—?"

"—No offense. Look at them. I don't care if your president is half-Japanese or not, but to use flashy looks to create a fictitious love and fool the pure heart of maidens is complete discrimination against females. To call this a club activity and use it for your own greed and profit is totally inexcusable!  I swear... that I will abolish the Ouran Host Club at once!"

    My jaw dropped.

Everyone's Jaw's dropped. Tamaki literally dropped dead. It looked like his soul was sucked out of his body.

It was quickly loosing its color and I swear I could see particles float away.

Suddenly, the three of them started to chant, "Zuka Club Hail Zuka Club!" Over and over again.

Haruhi escaped from Beino and the girls chanting to help me pass out the coffee. Making sure to give everyone a cup.

Of course, this didn't stop the girls from fawning over Haruhi and I. Complementing our dining skills.

"Ahem..." Kyouya cleared his throat. "I see. I understand your intention. But could we continue this another time?"

"Are you saying you will not face us?"  Benio smirked.

"No... but our president is still in bed from the culture shock." He pointed to Tamaki who was still flat on the ground.

This actually caused him to shoot up. "Ngh! You guys are wrong!  What productivity is there in a love between two women?! Why do you think God made Adam and Eve --"

He quickly starts charging towards us, not noticing that there was a banana peel on the ground. He slipped on the banana and managed to stick his finger in one of the hot cups.

"YEEEEOW!" He landed on his ass. He started to blow on his finger. "Hot, hot, hot, hot!!"

Haruhi sighs and hands me the plate. She pulls out a roll of medical tape from her pocket. "Gosh, be careful..."

Everyone watches as Haruhi carefully wraps up Tamaki's finger. I quickly slid back to the remaining members and handed them their own cups of coffee.

"Thank you...Do you always have bandages with you?" Tamaki softly asked.

"I got it as a bonus from the supermarket where I bought the instant coffee. The supermarket always gives me something extra."

     "Extra?" He asked.

"Looks like it's not even worth a talk." Benio pulls Haruhi up by the arm. "Now that we know the state of matters, we cannot leave these fair maiden in a club like this. We shall process their admission papers to Lobelia immediately and bring them into the Zuka Club!"

Haruhi broke from her grasp. "Pl-Please wait. I'm sure there are a lot of misunderstandings, like saying Tamaki-senpai is half-Japanese..."

"Tama-chan is half-Japanese." Honey corrected her. "He's half-French, half Japanese."

"Huh? Uh, well, I don't think it's right to make false charges and say the Host Club has little history and stuff..." Haruhi squatted it.

"Well, we don't have any history. This is only our second year." Hikaru started.

"The club was established when our lord entered high school." Kaoru finished.

'God, never hire them as your lawyers. They keep digging themselves deeper and deeper...'

"Well, I think it's going over the line to say that the club is in for our own greed and profit. It's not like we're getting money from our customers--"

"—Actually, it's a point system. On our club homepage's net auction, customers can redeem their points for credit toward their items." Kyouya cut her off. "Oh look, Haruhi.  The mechanical pencil that you used has been auctioned off for 30,000 yen.  Aren't you glad?"

Haruhi basically does a back flip towards Kyouya's computer. Her eyes ragged.

"Wha?! That was the one I thought I lost! This is the first time I've heard of this! I didn't know we're getting money from this!" She pointed back and forth from Kyouya and the screen.

"You think we're doing this as a volunteer service? Well, if you subtract all the funds used on event planning, clothing, foods, and drinks, our profit margin is actually quite minimal—"

"—That's no reason for you to sell my belongings! You're thieves!"

The twins shrugged their shoulders. "We're not thieves! It was on the ground!"

"Ngh!" I could literally see smoke pouring out of her head.

"Wahh! I'm sorry, Haruhi! It's not like we were hiding this!" Tamaki rummaged through his pocket. "Here, I'll give you my mechanical pencil. Look, it's one with a bear."

He holds his mechanical pencil out for Haruhi. She turns around and it falls to the floor, "I don't want that kind of thing."

"Then I'll tell you all about my birth, along with the magnificent memories of my seventeen years!"

"Actually, that's the most irrelevant information that was new to me today."

"Ah!  Irrelevant...?" he clutches his heart and sulks against a wall.

The zuka club sees this as an opportunity to surround Haruhi.

"Poor girl...  You're in shock because of all the lies, right?" Chizuru said.

"Hey, leave those people and come join us." Hinako begged.

"Well, wait, Hinako. The fair maiden is disturbed right now. We shall come ask her again tomorrow. We look forward to a good response from you. Well then, adieu!"

Benio steers the three girls out the room. This leaves everyone with an awkward silence.

It takes a while for Haruhi to actually turn around and face us. She looks into each of the Host Club members eyes.

"I...I, too, shall excuse myself for today." She goes to the door. "You coming or not, Y/N?"

I jumped at that and didn't think twice before joining her. I waved goodbye to the rest of the club members.
