LOOK WHO CAME BAAAAACK
It's me, tee hee

There was a time between this episode and the next episode. The host club built their relationship with Haruhi, and I spent time at home building up my immune system.
Yep, I caught a cold just by getting water sprayed on me. It was only a sore throat and a headache, but I was forced to stay home. It was an average Tuesday afternoon; I was napping on the library desk when someone shook my shoulders.
"Y/N?" she softly asked, the crowded library filled out as the day went on. "The host club is going to start in a couple of minutes--I'm sorry, I was really caught up with my studying.
"That's okay..." We quickly rushed ahead of me, god why is she so fast?! I tried to catch up with her to the best of my abilities, but I was too tired. She slowed down.
"We can just walk there..."
We held hands all the way to the host club. I felt a little bad, even when we were late she offered to stay and wait with me. The walk was peaceful... I forgot how nice silence was when I joined the host club.
We finally arrived. The whole place was decked out like a tropical paradise when I opened the door. They greeted us like normal.
The twins looked at us before dropping the pose, "You guys finally made it. You're so late."
"I could be wrong, but my calendar still says it's early spring," Haruhi mumbled looking at her watch.
"It's never too early for summer--" I was cut off by Tamaki. "--Huddling under a kotatsu table, fearing the cold is nonsense! And besides, the heating system we have is the best!"
Kyoya kept his eyes closed as he held up his small notebook. "Do you have a problem with the way we run our club, Haruhi? Be careful what you say. You owe us 8 million yen--Remember?"
"Damn...the vase..."
"Gentlemen, don't bundle up bulky clothing." Tamaki spun around in his new outfit. "It may be chilly in early spring out there in the real world, but here at the club, we want to surprise our chilly little kittens with a warm tropical paradise! Oh yes, we've turned this place into nirvana! A balmy tropical island of everlasting summer!"
Haruhi turned to me while holding my hand and mumbled, "That's funny. Cause I feel a massive chill now."
We sat down at our usual table, I sat with my feet on the couch as the ladies poured in. Our hands are still intertwined, the other was used to catch my usual coughs.
"What heartlessness, even with my lustrous skin shining like brilliant ivory exposed by my Balinese King outfit. I'm no more than a slave before my goddess. I kneel before you and swear my loyalty." Tamaki swooned over the other girls.
"Oh, Tamaki..."
"So lucky.."
Tamaki straightens himself out. "Oh, yes. I almost forgot to mention to you, ladies. Next week, the Ouran Host club is sponsoring a party."
Haruhi whispered to me with a worried tone, "We're throwing a party? --"
"--um...I can't dance, I never signed up for this."
"What kind of party is it going to be?" One of the girls asked, "Is it going to be formal?"
"Yes, in fact, we've rented the school's largest hall." Hikaru leaned into one of the girls' shoulders while his brother did the same on the other. "It's the perfect place for dancing."
Hikaru gently cups his brother's face as he looks down at him. He lowers his tone and speaks to his brother in a very uncomfortable seductive voice. " But I really wanted to spend some alone time with you, Kaoru."
"D-Don't be upset, Hikaru. I know exactly how you feel." The girls both scream over the brothers being overly touchy with each other.
Haruhi sighs as she pushes off my shoulder, leaning against the couch as Kyoya walks over to us. "Guessing to be even more worked up than they usually are."
Kyoya started to write in his notebook. I tried my best to look over his shoulder, but he pushed my forehead back with his pen. "How cute, try harder. Showing some skin proves popular with the ladies."
"Were you the one who came up with this tropical paradise idea?"
Kyoya grinned at my question, "I have no decision-making authority. All of the club policies have been laid out by the club's King, Tamaki. But...." He pushes his glasses back against his face with his middle finger. He twirls the pen in between his fingers. "I guess there's no harm in admitting to casually slipping a Bali photo book onto his desk."
She whispered, "Oh. So he's the real brains behind the operation."
"He's gotten be...did you really think that Tamaki could do all of this?"
"I had a little hope--
"Ta-da!" Honey comes out of the curtains and holds his arms out. The girls gasp and fawn all over him and how cute he looks. "Hi, ladies! I wanted these Balinese flowers! We had them flown in!"
Mori walks beside Honey, causing the smaller boy to look up at his cousin. Honey climbs him like a tree and throws a Balinese lei over his head. Honey then hugs him with a giant smile plastered on his face. God, could they get any cuter? "There! We match!"
Two girls swooned as Honey spotted me and gave me my own Balinese Lei...I was no better than the girls that were crying over him.
I join my sister as she sits at another table with some customers of her own. She was more than happy to have me sit next to her.
"Uhm, Haruhi, Y/N?" One of the three girls asked, Haruhi jumped and looked at the two customers before us. "Aren't you two going to wear a tropical outfit like the other boys?"
The other girl quickly agreed, "I'd like to see that."
Haruhi places her hands in front of her. "W-Well, no. I-I I just don't think it's appropriate to wear anything, but early spring attire in early spring, you know?"
"I don't think I should be exposed to that much skin with the weather outside. It's cold..." That and I'm really tired... I haven't been able to keep myself awake for long and I've been getting awful migraines. My limbs felt heavier and I could barely carry my own bag. If it weren't for the twins giving me a piggyback ride to the cafeteria I would've missed launching altogether and taken a power nap. I think I drooled a bit on Kaorus shirt—
Haruhis have also been more on edge than ever. She constantly holds my hand and bites her nail, even when I think I'm alone she's always watching over me...I can't help but feel a bit bad.
"But we have one ready for you, Haruhi! I think you'll like it! You and I are a pair!" Whatever Tamaki was imagining, I didn't want to see. I shuddered at the thought of them matching.
"No thanks." She deadpanned.
"Wow, Haruhi! You're really faithful to the different seasons, aren't you?" The third girl praised, and the other jumped in quickly. "I think that's great! I hope I'm lucky enough that the cherry blossoms are in full bloom on the night of the party."
"The two of us dancing among the cherry blossoms. It's so dreamy~" They squealed together, intertwining their fingers.
Haruhi looked at me, and I asked "You really think so?"
"You know, ladies, I think it's so cute when you dream like that." Haruhi laughed as the two girls blushed perpetually.
A lady walked up to us, she had a short brunette bob and chocolate eyes. I let out a cough and tapped my sister's shoulders. She fidgeted for a bit, doubt in her eyes before softly tapping on my shoulders, "Excuse me, gentleman. I hate to disturb you, but I think it's time for the hosts to switch clients."
"Oh, I'm sorry. You must be my next appointment, Miss... uh..." Haruhi apologized profusely. The young lady introduced herself as Kanako Kasugazaki.
I remember this girl, she was the host club skipper or whatever. She had the host club jumping cities or whatever. God, I cannot remember whatever syndrome they gave that poor girl. All I knew was that Tamaki was not happy that someone else was taking precious time away from his Haruhi...
Tamaki was sitting at a small table in the corner of the unrealistically wide room while he slurps a bowl of ramen. "I can't take this anymore..."
The rest of us were at a larger table watching him spiral out of control, the twins desperately tried to cheer him up with the upcoming party.
"Hey, boss! Why don't you stop eating that commoner's ramen and come over here to help us with the party planning?" Hikaru asked.
Kaoru quickly jumped in, "Does it really bother you that Princess Kazugazaki has taken a liking to Haruhi and Y/N?"
Kyoya scoffed, quickly typing away at his computer. "He shouldn't be surprised. She's had the illness for quite a while now, hasn't she?"
"What illness?" Haruhi immediately jumped when she heard the word illness... her eyes went all frenzy-like... it kinda pulled at my heartstrings...
Hikaru slides behind Kyoya. "Chill Haruhi. She's got the host hopping disease. Something we made up for her."
"A.k.a. The never the same boy twice disease." Kaoru slides to the right of his twin.
"I assure you it's nothing serious to the degree you are thinking of." Kyoya assured the shorter girl "Usually our customers choose a favorite host and see them regularly. However, Princess Kanako tends to change her favorites on a regular basis."
Honey patted the girl's head in a rough but calming matter, "That's right! Cause before she chose you two, she chose it with Tama-chan!"
"Oh. So, he's upset because I took her from him?" Haruhi rolled her eyes before we got scared by Tamaki as she bolted towards our table.
"Shut up! I couldn't care less! I'm running out of patience!" He suddenly holds one of his arms in the air before pointing at Haruhi. We jumped at his flailing arms, "Haruhi, it's time you started dressing like a girl!"
"Huh?"
"You too Y/N!"
"I would rather jump off a moving truck--"
Tamaki starts sobbing and he grabs his hands with both of our hands and shakes his head ...his hands were soft. "I don't understand how you two could be so popular with the ladies when you yourself are a lady!" [He holds a fist near his chest. "No one in the entire school knows the truth except for those of us here!"
Hikaru and Kaoru stood on either side of Tamaki, they looked at us with curiosity. "Yeah, they have opted out of taking gym classes."
"And the attendance numbers are all mixed together so no one can tell."
Tamaki drags a trunk to the center of the room. He aggressively opens it up and digs through it.
"That's enough, Twins!" He shoved a portrait of the two of us with long hair. "Now you listen to Daddy!"
We screamed and tried to take the portrait of the crazy blonde man.
"Daddy wants you to go back to the way you were be-"
"Don't show my photos without asking me first!!" Tamaki cries as Haruhi hits him with the painting... 'That's something new
The rest of the host club crowded around the painting.
"The more I look at this picture, the more amazed I am. How could this possibly become that?" Hikaru smirked.
"Har har har... very funny Hikaru" I rolled my eyes.
Haruhi sighed, "The day before school started, one of the kids in my neighborhood got some gum in my hair." She placed a hand behind her head and scratched it. "It's a real pain to get gum out of long hair. So I decided to cut it all off. I didn't care if I looked like a dude, you know."
Tamaki got all up in Haruhi's business as he cried. "Girls should never refer to themselves as a dude! MAMA!" He turned to Kyoya. "Haruhi is using those dirty boy words again!"
He falls onto his knees with tears still streaming down his face. Everyone was a little stunned at his reaction.
"Dude, sorry. But who is Mama?" Hikaru shrugged his shoulders.
"Based on club position, I assume it's me." Kyoya sighed.
Kaoru looked at me, "What about you, Y/N?
"Hmm--Me?" I coughed.
"Yeah, what's your reason for cutting your hair?
"Oh! I thought it looked kinda cool."
The twins shook their heads at my response, I couldn't help but let out a laugh that turned into a cough.
Haruhi places her hands on her hips. "Look, I don't see what you're crying about. Working as a host, I can pay back more of my debt. It'll never happen if I'm just an errand boy."
"Hate to change the subject, but do you two have formal dance experience? You'll need it for the party." Hikaru asked.
"Uh... no... But the party doesn't have anything to do with my quota, right? I'm not interested in going to events. So, if I could be excused?"
We jumped at Tamaki's voice as he crawled up behind the two of us. "Absolutely not! A refined gentleman must know how to dance. If you want to live the life of a host that badly, you're going to have to show us how far you're willing to go." Tamaki holds his arms out elegantly. "I order you to master dancing the waltz in one week and you will demonstrate it for us at the party,...I'll tell the whole school that you two are in fact girls and knock off you back down to errand boy!"
A/N: I keep thinking of one
of the many outtakes— "the
Hokey Pokey in one week"😭😭
"Good, I don't want to do this stupid ass dance--"
"You're doing the dance!" they shouted right back at me.
Oh, Mom... what did we get ourselves into?
