Fall

Seeing your home, quite literally, fall was an interesting feeling.

It was just another night.
I had no idea what would happen.

I was sitting in the guard tower with Zer0. We didn't talk, we just sat in each others company.

One second I was looking out for danger, the very next moment my home was falling to the ground in a blaze.

I didn't realize the shaking in my hands and the tenseness of my muscles until a felt a comforting hand lightly placed itself into the dip of my back and I saw Zer0 from the corner of my eye. Apparently he had moved close to me while I was fixated on watching the burning pile of metal fall.

Strangely enough, I felt the need to get close to him.

The burning in my eyes began to sting worse as I felt a weight in my chest. I had this emotion before, but there was never someone near me. The scientist just did test and asked questions, but Zer0 was trying to make me feel better.

I look to make sure the door to guard tower is closed. The only window is the one in the front and the only other place to see in from was from the door. Once I saw it was closed and locked I felt safe enough to remove my helmet.

Zer0 turns to face me as I remove my helmet. I hadn't even noticed I was crying until it was off.

He grabbed my arm and turned me to face him. I don't know why, but without thinking I rested my head against his shoulder and wrapped my arms around his waist.

Strangely enough, the warmth and the small, awkward circles rubbed into my back helped... A lot.

Sunny: sorry for the short chapter, but I couldn't really think of too much to write about Helios falling. So here's some fluff.
