Rune's POV

"Seriously, Rune. I just told you to come back here at seven. But look at the time! You're seven minutes late!"

Jesus.

My lady is behaving such a spoiled brat these past few meets and I'm really doing everything I can to can not to lose my temper. She gets angry at such small things and she's not usually like this. She gets so easily.

I inhaled very deeply before I say something. I don't want another flying object aiming at me again.

"I'm very sorry, my lady. It won't happen again, okay? So calm down now." Damn, I can't believe she had me wrapped around her finger at a time like this, no matter how angry she is towards me even if it's not my fault.

Jasmine finally stops frowning and unwraps his crossed arms. "Fine, I will accept your apology if you bought me some apple pies from Ariana."

"Yes, my lady. I can't forget that." I weakly chuckled and shows her the plastic bag from Ariana's bakeshop. She's been obsessed with her apple pies lately and it is becoming so weird.

The last time that she asked me for an apple pie was in the middle of the night. Of course, I didn't thought it was a big deal, I refuse and the next day, she barely talks to me at all!

She's getting weirder and weirder. Too emotional? Or maybe because she is just stressed about the wedding?

But as much as I can, I was helping her plan for it because I know how much she is looking forward to it.

Jasmine ate the apple pie that I bought and I can't help but find it so adorable to see smile every time she puts a spoonful in her mouth. She looks like a kid.

I bend down to place a kiss on her forehead while she eats as she watches some fashion show on tv. "I will just go take a bath, my lady. I'll just wait for you upstairs."

"Okay." She replied without taking her eyes off the screen.

I just chuckled while shaking my head as I head up to our room.

After taking a warm nice bath, I find Jasmine already in bed, covered in sheets and she's fast asleep. Did I shower that long? I slowly and carefully slides down to the bed, right on her side and lean closer to her using my elbows to see her peaceful face.

"Such an adorable face." I can't help but utter as I caress her soft and flawless face using my fingers. I leaned down to place a kiss on her lips then whispered. "I love you." Before I closed my eyes and sleep beside my lady.

The next morning, I woke without Jasmine beside me. I assumed that she is already making breakfast for the both of us since I have a early meeting today with Zephyr on this business that we are working on.

I got off bed then made my way downstairs to see my lovely fiancé chopping whatever vegetable that is that she will add in the salad that she is making.

I silently walk behind her and wrapped both of my arms around his waist and at the same time, placed a kiss on her nape. "Good morning, my lady."

"Hey, 'morning, baby." She greeted back. "Breakfast is almost ready. Are you going to be late for your meeting?"

"Nah, they won't start without me anyways." I replied, inhaling her natural scent. She had her hair up in a messy bun so it is easy for me to get access on her neck. "What are your plans for today?" I asked her as I grab a seat.

"I'll be meeting up with Ariana today. We're gonna go shopping!" She squealed like a kid who is very excited to go to a toy store.

I let out a scoff. Girls will always be girls. "Shopping? What are you going to shop more? You have tons of stuffs already."

"Rune, shopping is a girl's way to bond with their best friend. It doesn't mean that I am going to look for stuffs." She reasoned out as she serves the salad bowl on the table before placing two mugs on it.

"Is that hot choco?" I glanced at her mug because it had a different colour. We both always use coffee every morning so why the sudden change?

"Yeah." She chuckled, sitting down then serves herself some salad then gave me as well on my plate. Jee, with these kinds of simple acts that she does, I just can't wait to have her as my wife. She was always caring and so sweet to me ever since we started living together.

"Why? You're always addicted to coffee." I pointed out.

"Well, not anymore." She rolled her eyes then we both started eating breakfast together. I am starting to get very curious because of her behaviour. She's been eating a lot. Like really, a lot.

It's not that I mind, but I do love it when she eats a lot. I don't care if she gets fat or anything, I'm just surprised because she has been behaving really strange.

After breakfast, I went to take a bath then I just finished my shower when I heard Jasmine scream making me nervous and I ran off the shower room then ran to where she was even if I'm only in my towel. I saw her looking like her blood has been drained out of her system as she stares at herself in front of the mirror.

Wait, what? What is wrong with her?

"Hey, is everything alright?" I walked up to her and scanned her immediately to check if she's hurt or anything. But nothing. She is just standing there. "Hey." I called her again.

"I look so ugly." She whined.

"W-what?" A laugh came out from me even if I tried to hold it. She's so cute.

"See, you're laughing at me. Am I really that ugly now? Look at me!" She continued to whine in front of her mirror, checking out and scanning her face for something. Seriously. All I see is load of cuteness. 

I sigh then made her look at me. I held her on both shoulders so she could stare into my eyes. "My lady, you're overreacting. And why are you thinking like that all of a sudden? Didn't I told you before that you are the most beautiful woman that I know. You alone."

"How can you say that? Look at my face." Oh my, tears are starting to form. And shit, that is my biggest weakness. I told myself that I will never let Jasmine cry and she doesn't need to do so because I will be taking care of all of her worries.

"I am looking at your face, my lady. And all I see and think is how gorgeous and perfect my fiancée is." I cheered her up and wiped her tears. "Stop crying now. I don't know what to do if you keep on doing that."

"I'm sorry." She leans her forehead on my chest.

She is just so cute acting like a kid. It is so irresistible and cute. A lot cuter when she's pouring. Christ, she's the only one who can make me feel like this. I am usually impatient and cold but just a smile from Jasmine, all of my tensions, all of my coldness just melts away. She's all I need.

"No need to say sorry, my lady." I kissed her forehead, when I snapped back to reality. "Damn, I thought something bad happened to you that's why you screamed."

"I really am so—"

"Hush now." I hugged her tightly in my arms. Jesus, what am I going to you, woman? Love really teaches me how to be patient.

But like I said, I don't mind. Because I love her. I love her so damn much.

And I will spend all craziness with you.

Jasmine's POV

I am so exited for my surprise  for Rune tonight. I went shopping with my friends including Ariana this lunch, and we just ate all day. At that moment, I didn't care about the things I eat. I just want something to satisfy my tastebuds. Usually, I always care and careful for the meals that I eat but for today, I do not care.

And now, I am on my way home and I'm sure, Rune won't be back by this hour so I can still make us dinner.

Tonight, I am going to make a French cuisine that I learned when I lived in Paris for a few months because of my modelling career.

But we are not going to eat at the dining area tonight so I decided to arrange the table by the garden. I kinda missed eating there with Dad.

"My fiancée made another wonderful dinner." Rune marched inside the kitchen, he already had his suit jacket off, his dressed shirt is halfway open.

"Hey, welcome home." I gave him a kiss while carrying our plates. But he took them from me so he could carry them to the garden.

"You look happy." Rune looks surprised as we sat down on the chair. He poured us some red wine and then he looks at the food, hungrily.

I chuckled and smirked. "Is there a reason why I should be unhappy?"

"No." He quickly replied, taking a fork then sliced the chicken to put it inside his mouth. "Wow, it taste heavenly."

"Really?"

"Wait, I used the wrong term. I taste amazingly." He winked at me.

"That doesn't make scene." I crossed my eyebrows.

"Well, my lady. Making love to you feels heavenly so I can't compare it to a food." He pointed out causing me to hit his shoulder.

I rolled my eyes and continued eating. "How's your meeting by the way?"

"Good. Everything is just going smoothly. Sometimes Zephyr would get on my nerves but in the end of the day, he always makes sense. I'm the only one who is new to this businesses kind of thing. All I know is kick some ass." He realised, leaning his elbow on the table then dazed at me.

"What? Is there something in my face?" I asked him, because he's been staring at me.

"No, something looks different about you." His eyes got sharper like he's reading me. "That grin on your face can't be wiped off. It looks like you have something to tell me but you are waiting for something."

I chuckled at his guess. He is so amazing in reading people just based on their actions. I guess it is a part of being an agent. And he's not just an ordinary one, he's an amazing and skilled agent.

"It seems like I was right." Rune chuckled with a grin then leaned his back on the chair and crossed his arms. "What are you thinking, my lady? What is the reason of that grin?"

Well, 'guess there is no turning back now. He already guessed that I have a hidden surprise for him.

Taking a deep breath, I placed down my fork and look at his eyes straightly. "Okay then...this morning, I told you that I will be shopping with Ariana, right?"

"Yeah." He cocked an eyebrow as he tilts his head on one side.

"But before that, she and I went to visit a doctor." I started, pausing for a moment, giving him time to guess it.

Unfortunately, Rune give me an urging look to continue what I was going to say. "Why? Is Ariana sick or something?"

"No." I rolled my eyes and i suddenly want to flick his forehead. He doesn't get it? "I went to the doctor because of course, recently...I've been feeling terrible mood swings and imbalance emotional state."

And folks, he is still doesn't have any clue what I was talking about. He doesn't understand what I am trying to portray.

Damn. This man is so clueless.

"You contacted a doctor and you didn't even bother to call me? What's wrong? Are you sick?" His voice suddenly flips over in worry.

"No, idiot." I groaned, narrowing my eyes at him. "You still don't get it, do you?"

He shook his head. "What's going on? Why don't you just tell me already what's wrong with you."

"I'm pregnant, damn it." I blurted out as I get sick of waiting for him to realise it.

Rune's eyes widen once I popped the news. His eyes diluted as his jaw drops a little. The air between us suddenly felt cold and the only thing that we can hear is the sound of the fountain nearby and the sound of crickets.

No one bother to spoke between us for a few seconds, waiting if one of us tries to utter a word.

"Y-you're pregnant?" Rune sounded in shock. "I'm going to be a Dad?"

I nodded, "Yes, Rune. You are going to be a Dad because I'm already three weeks pregnant." The grin can't be hidden in me. I'm too happy and this warm feeling inside my chest and this butterfly feeling in my tummy. They are battling and I just want to scream in happiness.

"Oh God." Rune raises from his seat and stands up on the grass, both his hands are above his head like he is really in a state of shock. "I'm going to be a Dad." He muttered repeatedly. "I'm going to be a Dad."

I laughed seeing him like this. I stand up and approached his stiff body by walking in front of him. I held both of his shoulders and stare at him. "Rune? Rune?"

"Am I really going to be a Dad?" He asked, without blinking.

I nodded with a smile. Biting my lower lip not to laugh. "Yes, Rune. We are going to be parents."

"Oh God." He suddenly wrapped both of his arms around me then lifted me up off the ground. "I love you so much, my lady. I love you so much."

My heart flutters seeing his reaction. He looks beyond happy. I wiped the tear on her eyes and kissed them, tenderly. "You liked my surprise?"

"I freaking loved it." Rune cheered then puts me down. "We're going to be parents, my lady. We're going to be a family. Finally, a family of my own."

Something tender touches my heart when I heard that. Rune never felt how to have a family because his parents died since he was a little boy, then he was trained to be in combat. Now, a family of his own. His only.

"Shit. I don't know if I should jump or I should shout or I –I...fuck. I don't know." He stuttered, bringing me down.

I raised my hand to cup his cheek and made him look at me then, I took that time to kiss him, tenderly. Then leaned my forehead on the bridge of his nose. "Calm down, Rune. You're overreacting."

Hearing him take a deep breath, I know my gestures like that will make him tone down a little. He slowly wraps one arm around my waist and pulled me closer in a tight embrace. Feeling all of his warmth, his love and his happiness mixed up with that. I can see how he closes his eyes during the hug, and his eyelashes moved as he clenched them closed. He's going to cry again.

"Rune?" I called him, raising my head from his chest to look up to his face. "You okay?"

"I'm more than fucking okay." He grinned, widely. "I just...when it sinks into me, I realised how lucky and how my dreams where coming true."

"How?"

"My lady, I never felt what a family feels like ever since I was a little boy. I grew up without caring of them because of my line of work. We cannot have any links to other people aside from ourselves to make it easier for us. But I dreamed for a family when I meet Stephan and the others. They showed me how happy it was to have a family. And now, I'm having one on my own." Rune says without any flaws as he just stated to my face. "And everything is all because of you, my lady. Thank you."

I chuckled and hugged him once more. "I love you, Rune. And no need to thank me because we have a lifetime to show each other how happy we are, right?"

"More than just a lifetime." He whispered before capturing my lips for a passionate kiss.

The kiss was very hot and needy. Like we have been separated for a long time. Rune is the one who is leading this though and I can feel his emotions just by how he kisses.

"I love you so much, my lady. You brought so much happiness to my cold world. From now on, I will devote my time and love, and even my life, serving you and our children."

I was slightly surprised to hear him say children though.

"How many children are you even planning?" I raised an eyebrow.

"I do not care." He shrugged off. "We will be married for a life time, my lady, and we will be making love 24/7. Who knows how many babies we're gonna make." He shrugged like it's nothing.

My eyes widen and blushed. "As if!" I snorted, hiding my red face using my hand and turn away to go back to my seat. "I'll finish my meal right now. You can join once you finished day dreaming."

"Oh come on, my lady. Can't the big guy dream?" He pouted like a kid then joined me once again in the table but he changed direction and circle around towards me then leaned down for a kiss. "You are simply the best, my lady. I love you."

I suddenly got flustered then just smiled in satisfaction. "I love you."

Then he dropped on his knees before placing his one hand on my tummy then dropped a soft kiss on it. "And I love you, my child. I love you and your Mom. I can't wait to see you. Hang in there and let Daddy prepare everything that you need. Just grow healthy inside Mom for a while. I will just take care everything that you need."

"I have a feeling that this child is going to get spoiled."

"Just like you." Rune murmured with a husky laugh. "It's not our fault. It is just how we show how much we love our child.  Your Dad did amazing in spoiling you too, right?"

I puffed my cheeks and narrowed my eyes at him. "You fell in love with me anyways."

"Never said I didn't." He pecked me on the lips then hugged me. "Thank you, for everything, my lady. Thank you for coming into my life."

"Of course." I just replied. Rune and I spent the whole night celebrating the new addition to our family.

This new baby is a blessing and I will cherish it forever. And I will love Rune till infinity. No one is going to bother us and I hope nothing bad will happen to us.

And soon, we will be engaging a new mission.

A mission to be parents.

I know I don't have that experience of how to be a good mother but Rune surely will always be here by my side as we will learn together.
