"Ariana, you two broke up?!" I gasped, hearing that my best friend and his fiancé already cancelled their engagement. Weird, we both ended something very shocking in our life. She just dropped the bomb that she is ended everything between her and her surgeon fiancé, Cliff.

Many things could really happen in a minute.

Ariana and I are here in her condo unit and I just paid her a visit since she called me up earlier and told me to come. My best Friend is suffering a heartbreak, that's why she wanted me to come over. This is my first day going out without the care of Royals anymore. I am back in the modelling world once again in two weeks.

They were so sweet and I thought they were so in love but there is something holding Ariana back since the start of their relationship.

"Jasmine, that asshole has a freaking daughter that is just the same age as I am!" She grunted, tension is really in her eyes.

"So?" I raised an eyebrow. "You're marrying him not his daughter."

"That's not the point, he freaking lied to me. He said he was in a conference overseas but the truth is...he is just here in the country, having quality time with his wife and his daughter! He's insane! He made me his mistress!"

"The fuck!?" I exclaimed. "I never thought Cliff would do that. The old dude is crazy."

"Totally crazy and retard." She blurted out, crossing her arms and grunted loudly.

"B-But how did you found out?" I leaned closer to her, really into the news as I cross my legs in the process.

Ariana suddenly was unable to speak after that, instead, a blush spreads through her tan cheeks making me confuse. Oh, that look on her face. "Because of Stephan."

"Wait, what?" I didn't see that one coming. Stephan is the guy she likes for a long time before she ended up with Cliff. "You're with Stephan Draco?"

Ariana looks down and starts to stutter for an explanation. "Stephan and I have hanging out for a while and...I don't know. I can't explain it, Jasmine. Stephan was always been the one." She mumbled the last part.

"Awww." I suddenly felt touched seeing my best friend like this. "I know how much you love him, Arian. And I admit, I'm happy that you and him are back."

"Still, being cheated on by Cliff hurts as fuck! I wasn't able to sleep at night. As much as I hate to admit it, I loved him but I guess I just loved Stephan much more." She explained, rubbing her hands. "That's alright...right?"

I chuckled. "Of course, honey. Love is just really weird. It can push you to things that you didn't even that you can push yourself to that limit."

Ariana smirked when hearing my answer. "I guess love has really had a huge effect in you too, huh?"

I laughed softly. "You're weird."

"So, are you, bitch." She playfully slapped my face when she stood up. "Now, get out of my condo. I can feel your phone vibrating. Someone must be calling you."

Rolling my eyes, I picked up my phone that was at the pockets of my jeans and I just missed a few missed calls from Rune. Oh, I forgot to text him that I'm here in Ariana's place. I quickly typed to text him that I'm fine and I'm just in a friend's house.

"Guess I have to go." I stood up from the chair and leaned down to place a kiss on her head. "I will see you around, bitch. Call me."

"Of corse. Thanks for coming in to listen to my dramas, girl." She hugged me tightly as I opened the font door.

"No problem, what are best friends are for?" I winked at her then messed up her long chocolate hair. "Bye bye!" I waved then left her condo building.

I drove here so no one is around me. I got away from Dad's guards again though. I was about to open my car when I felt a hand behind me causing me to flinch and just elbow the guy without looking who it was.

And I just elbowed him right on the face.

"Ow!" The man grunted and my eyes widen in shock seeing it was Rune as he starts to massage the bridge of his nose.

My eyes widen. "Oh my Gosh, I'm so sorry! What are you doing here in the first place!" I quickly come up to him and look over his face. "Shit."

"Wow, that hurts, my lady." He crinkled his nose and brings his hands down. "I was trained to kill and been in hundreds of battles but I got myself hit by my girl. That is painful."

I laughed and pinched his cheek. "Who told you to just come out behind me and scare me like that? You could have just called me and...and why are you here? How did you find out that I was here?"

"I was worried about you! I kept on calling you and you didn't answer a single one of them so I just tracked your phone without thinking and it brought me here." He explained with his eyebrows furrowed. "Seriously, my lady. I was worried sick. No one in your mansion knows where you are and your Dad was just calm."

"Because they are already used to it. " I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Not me." He whined like a kid. "Next time, tell me. Please. I'm getting worried sick."

I chuckled and nodded. To make it up to him, I wrapped my arms around his neck and brings myself closer to his body. "Sorry, baby." I whispered in a flirty way.

Rune deeper heavily and his eyes immediate soften. "Fuck." He cursed, messing up his hair.

"It won't happen again, I promise." I placed a kiss on his nose and my red lipstick leaves a mark there.

Rune clenched his eyes tight then opened them then looks away. "Damn, you really know how to stab me in my weakness." He told me, before placing his hand on my waist and hugged me tighter.

"Of course...I love you." I whispered as our lips nearly touching then gave him a peck."I love you." I repeated with a smirk this time.

Rune chuckled huskily and kissed me tenderly. "I love you, Jasmine." Then he took my hand in his. "Come on, let me take you somewhere. I believe I have things to discus with you.

"Discuss?" My head titled. "That sound...heavy. Is something wrong?"

This is just what I fear. When we are already happy, something will come and will try to ruin the moment. His face immediately changes but still gave me his genuine smile. "Come, lets go to my place."

"Your place?"

"Yep, I guess we should take our time, getting to know more each other more." He squeezed my hand in his. "Shall we?"

I nodded then handed him the car key. "You drive."

"At your service, my lady." He playfully bowed in front of me then walk around my car to get in and start the engine.

In the whole car ride, Rune wouldn't let my
hand go. He just held it and didn't have any plan to let go. But it's not that I don't like it, I want it.

We arrived at Rune's mansion inside this heavy secured subdivision. Well, he dumped me here so I will not forget this place. It leaves a huge scar inside of me. He parked his car inside his huge garage, next to a Mustang and some Mercedes Benz cars. It's surprising to know that he is this rich! I mean, he's just an agent yet he owns this kind of fortunes, I'm really impressed. I assume that everything here is based on his hard works since he doesn't have any parents that he can inherit from.

Rune leads me inside and shows me the living room where there is huge cinematic tv screen on the wall, the room is actually very cozy. The wall are designed with bricks, then down the tv is a fireplace and surrounding are luxurious couches. And from here, you can see the glass doors towards the pool where there is a small hangout area there.

"Wow, nice bunk you have here." I told him, roaming my eyes around the place. "Your place is not what I imagine, Rune. This is amazing."

Rune chuckled and removes his leather jacket then hangs it on the rack near the door. "Why? You thought my house is full of guns?"

"Not really...maybe...I thought your place was simpler." I murmured. "But I love the design., thought. It looks so relaxing to be here." I walk towards the glass door and glance over the pool and see what his garden looks like. "You're usually not around because of your job, how do you manage this place clean and nice?"

I felt Rune closing in our distance as he stands there behind me then slowly wraps his arms around my waist from behind. I didn't mind so I leaned in his warmth. "Well, I have someone coming here to clean the pool, to take care of the plans, and clean the whole place up."

"Someone you trust?"

"Yep, the same person who cleans everyone's houses in this subdivision." He answered, placing a kiss on my nape and I suddenly felt how my the hairs on my body raises because of the sensation. "By the way, want some barbecue or something? I can grill something."

"No, I'm good." I stated, since it is still morning and I had a coffee with Ariana, I feel full. "So, what are we going to do now? You invited your girlfriend to your place so you might have something in your mind." I smirked, getting out of his embrace to look at him and stand in front of him. "You look like you have something to say from how you invited me."

Rune sigh then rubs his nape. "As you can see, my lady..." he started to make a conversation but he is trying to point out something. "You heard about the meeting yesterday, right? What the Chief just said?"

I nodded. This is about the search for the rest of the Black Phoenix who scattered.

"We have a lead on where the rest are hiding. You see, Lyndon has already placed someone next in command in case that he dies and now, here they are." Rune explained to me, carefully trying not to scare me as he took both of my hands and rubs his thumb on it, calming me. His blue eyes are drowning me in as he watches how will I react.

"So, you're telling me that I'm not fully safe...?" I guessed, trying to lift the tension up.

"You're safe, my lady. It's just that...the next wave of Black Phoenix might start to think of a plan on how to cause more destruction. And one of their plans might still be you." He mentioned.

"Me again?" I laughed weakly then scoffed. "Jeez, their hate for my Father is really strong."

"Not just to your father, my lady. They hated so many powerful people out there and the way they mess with them is through their families. It happens that it was Lyndon who hated your Dad and to me."

"So...now what?" I crossed my arms and leaned my sides on the glass door. I have a feeling that Rune needs to do this mission.

"I was the one who needs to be in this mission." Right, just what I thought. "I will lead an extraction of the new group in Europe."

"Europe? The whole country?" I questioned.

"Yes, it will take us time to find and think of a plan on how to eliminate them all." He replied.

So this means... "You have to leave." The words just came out of my mouth without any hesitation or question because I know that it is the only way.

Rune gulped and sigh before he finally nods his head. "I will be gone for a long time, my lady."

My chest just feels very deep after he said that. Just as what I feared. There are still hindrances that is going to happen between us. There is always going to get between us that will ruin how happy we are. "Can't you just quit?"

Rune chuckled at my question. "I can't. Not because I don't want to be with you but...I will do this for you. I want you to be safe and when we eliminate them all, we can be together and nothing will come between us again." He placed a hand on my cheek then caress his thumb there, soothingly. "Just a little more, my lady. I promise you, once I came back from the mission, we can do everything we want together."

I reached out for his hand and rubs my cheek on it. "How long will you be away?"

Rune shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know...a year...or more"

"Does it really that long?" I asked, more like a whine.

"Yes, I'm afraid so, my lady." He leaned closer to me. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked tenderly.

"Like I have a choice. You know I can't argue with you." I snorted, punching his chest in the process.

Rune laughed huskily then pulled me closer to him then wrapped me back in his embrace. "I love you." He suddenly whispered then planted kisses down my neck up to my face. "And I will do everything to keep you safe."

"Why are you always trying to keep me safe? Why not say it like...keep us both safe for our future?" I corrected him. "How I wish I could help you, Rune. To make things easier for us."

"You're already helping me, my lady. Because of you, I have a reason to keep on living. To fight things." He whispered near my ear.

"Make sure you won't die on me, Rune. Don't push yourself too much." I narrowed my eyes at him then I closed them tightly as I lean my forehead on his chin. "I will miss you."

"I will miss you too, my lady." He replied, inhaling the scent of my hair. "No matter what happens, I will always be with you. You're my lady, the only one for me. So be patient while I kill those bastards who dare messes with us."

I laughed at what he said. "And when you do, I will be waiting for you to come home to me."

"Of course." With that, he took my lips and kissed me deeply. Savouring it like it will be the last time he will taste it.

"When will you leave?" I asked him, pulling away softly.

"The day after tomorrow." He replied back.

"All of a sudden?!" I gasped in shock.

"Yeah, the Chief just told me last night so he actually gave my remaining days with you." He told me with a grin.

"Wait, he permits you to spend them with me?" My eyebrow raised in confusion.

"Yep." He kissed my nape and slightly biting it. "The Chief knew about us already, my lady. He said that he can't do anything about it anymore so he will give his blessings to us."

"Really?" I giggled because the way he is kissing my neck kinda tickles. "They finally accepts us. So that means, Dad is the only one left."

"I don't think that will be a big deal." Rune chuckled. "He will accept us for sure."

"You're pretty confident." I teased.

"I'm always confident." He stated arrogantly causing me to roll my eyes. "So, now...what are we going to do now? You have me all to yourself for two days. Make the most of it." He whispered, seductively at my ear.

I chuckled. "Oh, you have something in mind, I see."

"And so are you." Rune once again, drew me in for a kiss but this time, it's different. Very, different. The way he kisses me is so hot to the point to make my whole body tremble. I tighten my hold on him and so does he, he lifted me up and made me wrap my legs around him.

I know this feeling.

I'm not that new to this but the only thing that is making me confuse, is why do I feel different. Wait, I know.

I will be doing this to the person that I love.

To the person that loves me truly and more than anything I could imagine.

Rune is the one.

I wasted my time before on dating different men. And I regret them. But I will ever regret this with Rune.

He continued kissing me, slowly driving me crazy.

I let out a soft moan when his hands found its way on the hem of my shirt. "Too fast." I mumbled underneath my breath.

He just smirked and pulled it upward, revealing my skin. "You're hot." He said while looking at my mounds.

My cheeks turned hot and I know I'm blushing. I was about to go down from him when he suddenly pulled me closer and start kissing me again.

"Hm, Rune, what are we doing?" I asked playfully between our kisses even though I'm already aware on what we are currently doing. He didn't bother to respond on my question and continue what he was doing.

I bit my lips when his hot mouth traveled on my neck. I let out a soft chuckled when I felt the tickling sensation brought by his lips. I then snake my arm around his neck and started caressing his hair.

I felt him smiling on my skin as he started walking while kissing me on my lips. "Do you trust me, my lady?" He asked when he stop beside his bed. He is looking straight on my eyes using his fiery oceanic blue orbs.

"You don't need ask me that." I smirked and kiss the side of his lips. "Because I trust you more than anyone else." I said and almost screamed when he suddenly claimed my lips and throw ourselves on the bed.

"It's good to hear, my lady." He said as he kiss my lips before he started to remove my brassier and just put it somewhere else.
